A neat place with friendly staff, phenomenal lunch wraps, and a great variety of drinks and snacks.However, it was shocking that one employee was on her phone the whole time we visited.

Great front end where they take your order, everything is clear and smart. Then the food and coffee is really great. I had a bagel with cream cheese and they had hot sauce there which I like on my bagel. I want to go back and try more of their great coffees and food!

Relaxed place today and get a great cup of coffee. Had the Mike sandwich which was very tasty with provolone & cream cheese on the eggs. Look forward to coming in again the next time Im in the area.

Simply great! I tried the Mike Sandwich (like eating a delicious cloud) with a café latte...So tasty, filling but not ridiculously so. Chill vibe on a Friday morning... If I lived in Buffalo this would be my spot.

Great iced carmel latte. Beautiful and comfortable outdoor seating. Breakfast sandwich delivery for my friend was not quick at all however and had quite a long wait time. If you’re ordering food during a beautiful saturday in buffalo especially definitely be prepared to wait a good while.

Purchased a almond milk latte, bagel with cream cheese, and caramel macchiato with almond milk. Helpful straight into the point with a dash of humor. Large area with lots of space making social distance and very easy

Food was quite good, we got the Mikes breakfast sandwiches. The person who took our order was particularly grumpy and unhelpful, though. We were two of four people in the place - and as far as I can tell, the only two who ordered food - yet it took nearly 15 min for our two breakfast sandwiches to come out. I assume that means they were fresh, but our local place can make the same order, fresh, much faster, so not sure what was going on. It sounded like they had just reopened, so maybe everyone was out of practice? Unclear if the cafe had recently reopened or if this was the first day condiments were out - like I said, one of the staff was incredibly unhelpful and grumpy. Coffee was good though and the place is super cute.

Been going to this location for 15 years, always great service, food and ambience.

They seem pretty bad at online and call in orders. Expect confusion and wait time when picking up your order. If you need efficiency go to Panera next door.

I love the space, especially nice to go inside and sit down. However, the actual coffee just seems to be a little off, leaves an odd after taste in my mouth. It almost tastes like it has some kind of malt additive....

Best caramel macchiato Ive ever had. Perfect balance of sweetness from the caramel and vanilla. Great place to relax with ample seating inside. Love it!

Lovely coffee and other drinks. Many options to choose from. Also some great pastries is that is what draws you. I frequently use this as a meet up place with friends as it has many choices of table size and location, both inside and out. Good place for work and school meetings as well though I have quietly sat to read before as well. Does all the things you want out of a coffee place just right.

Great, spacious coffee shop to hang out in. The ambiance, music, homemade chai latte(yum), day-snacks and friendly staff all get five stars. My only big gripe is that everything is served in disposable throw-away containers. Is there not room for reusable things like mugs/utensils/plates & bowls?

They just dont pick up the phone.I was trying to order while I was at lunch so that I could just pick up and go, but no, I guess.

Tasty coffee and breakfast options, the spaces of all the Spot Coffees are very open, warm, and spacious. Personally, I’m a huge fan.

Breakfast sandwiches are good. Smoothies are commercial and not worth it.

Definitely my all time favorite coffee shop! Great location, nice selection and atmosphere. Usually go with the caramel macchiato and have tried various different pastries which have all been wonderful. Staff is always really cool and friendly.

I think this is the only union coffee shop in Buffalo, they treat their workers well and they serve excellent coffee. The food is good, I love the chicken pesto sandwich.

Grabbed a couple drinks to go. First time here . Looked like a quite place to sit and read or do homework.

Always wonderful. A cozy place to settle down and Facebook. Its actually pretty big to feel so cozy! I usually get the cheddar and tomato grilled panini. It is really fabulous. Earl Grey tea and my meal is complete! The staff is always wonderful. Now if only they could get my grilled cinnamon roll right!

Used to enjoy Spot Coffee. A couple of times, tried going there after work just to find it closed (closes at 4pm). Nowadays, its easier to go to Caffe Aroma up the street.

If it were possible to give a half star, I wouldve. To anyone who is a person of color, you might wanna watch out for this place. I havent felt so uncomfortable at a restaurant in a long time, and this was first time trying out something new. Never doing this again.I ordered a California vegetable omelette with a hot chocolate. When I went to pick up my order, I noticed I didnt receive any silverware or utensils. I wouldve picked one up, but given our current circumstances with the Covid-19 pandemic, I had to go back up to the front counter to ask for one. There was no one at the counter at the time, so I asked the gentleman who was fixing drinks for one. He was super rude and his tone was very aggressive. To think something so simple and so innocent in nature could be reciprocated with so much rudeness. In addition to this, the customers and rest of the employees kept staring and glaring at me for the entire duration of my time there, like I didnt belong. I am an Afro-Native/Caribbean woman, with a medium-deep complexion and curly hair. Apparently I didnt fit their particular customer image as others glared and made me feel highly uncomfortable. The part Breakfast Wrapthat made me leave was a man who came to the area where my friend and I were speaking. He stood in front of us glaring for a solid 15-20 minutes. This prompted me and my friend to leave, as we both decided this was not a welcoming environment. Ive had better service at a McDonalds drive-thru window than here. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Again to anyone who is a person of color who is thinking of trying this Cafe, think again. Thank you for reading!

Love this beautiful classic cafe! I have been this place many times. Diverse types of seats, capacious place, many power plugs, cool wall paint/ paintings l, and also vibe atmosphere are its pros! Mocha was above the average, not bad not so much good! However I was happy with it.

Had lunch today, service was fast, friendly and the restaurant was clean. The owner was there and took time to talk with me. I ordered the BBQ Sampler.....chopped chicken, pulled pork, ribs and burnt ends. It came with 4 pieces of Texas toast. All very tasty and great size portions. Reasonably priced.

Great little buzzing places on a Saturday morning. Pleasant staff with a range of customers. House coffee is good as well as the Moroccan Mint Green tea. We also had the giant cinnamon bun which was very filling. Not the best cinnamon bun Ive ever had but was satisfying on this rainy morning. Morning Glory muffin needed a little more cinnamon and raisins but okay.

Elmwood Spot is a huge space with reliably good coffee and food. Its weird that the newer coffee shops in Buffalo have terrible coffee. Spot has had it nailed for at least 20 years.Rarely crowded, good for both working and people-watching.(Well, indoor people-watching anyway... Most Buffalonians are not anywhere near as hardy as the reputation. They want to drive everywhere, so there is no street life, especially October-April.)

Always been a fan of the Chippewa location. This one is just as great and includes parking. Perfect chill place. Great coffee. Mikes sandwich on gluten free Kaiser was amazing. Regular bread for grilled cheese and BLT was a little dry which was surprising. Other then that it was perfect.

Honestly this is my fault. Who orders Pizza in a coffee shop? The pizza was gawdawful. The coffee was good (who drinks coffee with pizza?) - the service was best described as a of a sort of benign acceptance of my presence.

Snow is something that is really not something I am used to. Ice is a different story. It can kill you if you step the wrong way on it. Walking up and down Elmwood it felt like one mile was like ten. I was getting cold fast. I knew that drinking something hot would keep me going. I go into SPot Coffee and get a hot tea. The hot tea keeps me going. I am able to get to my destination without being consumed by the elements. WHY THE HECK DO PEOPLE LIVE IN A PLACE LIKE THIS.... COME DOWN TO CHARLOTTE OR FLORIDA.....

Spot is a place I always seem to naturally stop by when Im visiting my hometown. I come here for mostly nostalgic reasons & locality convenience. Their coffees are below average to me, but taste is often about preference. I like their food & the portions are more than generous. I still rate them highly because I have consistently received kind service from the person who takes my order to the person who hands me my drink.

I love Spot coffee. I had caramel macchiato and an m&m cookie. My macchiato was excellent, but that cookie was not good. It was very hard. Ive had the cookie before and it was nice and soft and yummy. Im not sure what happened this time around. Other than the bad cookie, I have good experiences when I do come here.

I used to come to this location when I lived nearby. Was in the area and thought I would stop! Delicious coffee. The have awesome breakfast sandwiches and on the weekends BELGIAN WAFFLES!!! Give them a try!

Parking can definitely be a challenge! They do have a A handicap entrance. They have a beautiful outdoor patio that’s covered, and additional seating in the front when it’s weather permitting. The inside is very spacious though sometimes hard to find a seat because it’s busy. The barista‘s are always friendly, the food is good. There are maybe one or two vegan options but there are multiple vegetarian options

Really cute place with tons of seating. I got a macchiato and a donut and both were delicious. I was surprised at how many meal, snack, treat, coffee and drink options they offer.

Had a great time with friends, great upbeat environment, positive vibes, I had a egg and turkey sandwich (their bread was amazing not sure if it’s made in house or not) service was good. Clean environment and the culture vibe was phenomenal. I love the painting on the wall. Not big on the coffee maybe I should of had something else. Will be back soon

Ordered food, paid then told oh we dont have any yogurt, no bagels. Guy making food put it up on the counter, then we get scolded for picking up the wrong drinks. Food tasted nasty.

This IS THE spot! I love their tea. OG Buffalo coffee house.Big complaint though: dude with the manbun and laptop, why do you need to sit at the table for 4-6? There is only one of you. It just aint right.

Very young in history and not really my style but it is very large theres lots of little nuts to do homework and stuff so I dont know I took a date here and it didnt relieve vibe well so I was kind of just like nope not doing it but that was really the only experience the stuff they were really nice except for this one guy but Im pretty sure he had just been fired not sure if yelled at or given a demerit I dont know how their system works but seriously he was in a raunchy style of mood everyone else was great though I feel bad for them for having to deal with the raunch-man

A constant, consistent patron to most SPoT locations, I count on the variety of people, the experience of group and good food & drink. Always open to new music, but todays head banging, rage filled selections at Elmwood were over the top, not to mention overly loud for thinking or talking. Gave it 45 minutes and moved on to your competitor. Not a fan of the sterile corporate chain, but I can work and talk so today they get my money. Also, the crowd certainly was thinner than normal... perhaps an adjustment to the music might change that.

Nice staff, and in an easily accessable area. Watch street parking, side streets are an easy way to get a ticket. Little bit of a wait for simple food, because they are always busy.

Great city coffee shop atmosphere, plenty of seating inside & out, free WiFi, quite large menu with sandwich items, our food took a long time to fix but it was busy on a Friday morning and there was only one guy cooking, food was really good, coffee also great, would recommend. We got a Mikes sandwich with avocado (perfect after I added a little salt) and oatmeal with fruit.

The baristas are nice and very friendly too. It can get a little loud in here with the music on in the background, the coffee grinders going, machines running, and with all the chatter. If youre planning to work, make sure youre a person who doesnt mind background noise. (Not a great place to take phone calls either!)

Delicious java shake! Mike egg sandwich on an everything bagel is yummy too! Good atmosphere with fun furniture and plenty of space. Took one star off because there is no changing table in either the men or women’s restrooms.

I really enjoy Spot on Elmwood. Great place to meet, have coffee, and do homework or visit with friends. This is my favorite of the Spot locations. Not too much noise, but enough that you can focus on your own work.

Spot is a favorite spot on Elmwood all hours of the day. Their breakfasts are excellent and reasonable. People of all ages wander in and out from morning until closing many of them with their computers. It is a wonderful place to gather with friends!

Loved it. Absolutely beautiful place, paradise for people like me, I wish they had a book stand though. The pizza was surprisingly delicious.

One of the better cups of coffee available. The food is good quality and taste, though it can be a little slow to get. The building has a pleasant atmosphere and can be a good place to get work done on a laptop.

Oatmeal with fruit was actually real fresh strawberries and blueberries. So good.

Would be great if not for the haze of smoke in the air. Please get some ventilation or a hood over your panini maker or whatever is causing all the smoke.

Clean ... Everyone followed CDC regulations ... Ordered theMike SandwichTwo pan fried eggs with melted provolone & cream cheese served on a multi-grain bagel, added bacon .... Also had the Jet tea wild berry smoothie ... Wait time was about 7 minutes ...

They always seem to have a nice selection of desserts to choose from. Plenty of coffee house drinks to pick from. There are offerings of breakfast sandwiches, deli style sandwiches and fresh pizza which looked delicious.

Hands down the best tuna sandwich in Buffalo. If youre a fan of a spicy Cajun kick, this is the sandwich for you. Served on either white or wheat focaccia, the bread serves as a perfect platter for each bite of delicious tuna. Pair it with any drink on the menu and you will leave a happy camper.

Big space known to be crowded. But if you catch it at the right time, theres lot of seating options to choose from, including a small couch. Coffee is good. Lots of pastry and food options. Unlike Starbucks, Spot produces much of its stuff from scratch. By far, the most popular cafe in the Elmwood Village area. A real scene.

This was a good stop for coffee. Plenty of comfortable seating, WiFi, etc. Coffee was good and prices were fine. Staff seemed fairly apathetic about the menu and about making sure drinks made their way to customers -- not usually too picky about that, but it stood out.

Spicy tuna wrap has some heat! Mixed greens was served with a delicious dressing.

The food is phenomenal and their coffee is superb. Best believe I stop in once a day (maybe twice... or three times...) for my caffeine fix.

Its OK. Undesirables frequent this coffee shop. They tend to be sitting out front, from what seems open to close, in the summer. Had to almost walk in the back to find a cashier. Food is good. Couch clean and comfy.

Its pretty much just okay. Service is uneven.For example, the guy who took my order today was pleasant and down to earth. The other people on staff were all either rude, inattentive, impatient, snobby, or confused.Cajun turkey wrap was good, but all in all, just not worth their prices. Crowded, expensive and just all around not worth it.Sorry to the counter dude who was trying his best to pull off the ambiance they were going for.
