Great selections. BUT whatever staff is working today. AUG 19 AT 1252 IS AWFUL. So rude. Was not greeted when walked in..ok no biggie. Then as I go to the counter to check out there is a male I can see and ask which counter should I go to, which he just looked at me never said a word or acknowledged me. Then a female emerged who didnt acknowledge me either but as she stood in front of the register I assumed thats where I should I go. No words were ever exchanged between us while checking out. Great selection or not..the customer service is POOR will not be back nor tell anyone else to come in...

This Consumers Beverages is my local beer store. I always receive a warm welcome, and great service from the knowledgeable staff. They can help you find whatever it is that youre looking for. Especially if youre a beer nerd, like myself. Theyve got great local craft beer, and hard to find brands from all over the U.S., and around the world. They are also doing a great job enforcing social distancing, and mask wearing policies, which is making us all safer in this tough time. I highly recommend making a stop at this location, if youre looking for some great beverages, for a wonderful evening at home!

Im always surprised at the range of selection between different Consumers stores. This one consistently has fewer great options.

Havent been there in a while but what a difference in the place. First it was a Friday night and there were a couple of nice young ladies offering a taste of some local brews. The remodeling of this store made quite the improved over the old one.They offer a huge assortment of beers be it local,, national or international as well as a bunch that you can get to go in a growler.

Brilliant cashiers here wouldnt let me buy some cider with two state licenses because one was Pennsylvania vertical junior license even though I was born in 96. I biked all the way here and bought beer from here no problem two months ago. Come on.

Consumers usually has a couple good deals at any given time. In recent years theyve really embraced stocking a good variety of craft beers. They stock a good amount of sour beers, goses, and various other non-IPA/stout beers. While a lot of places still lean heavily on the IPA craze, they have branched out into a lot of other offerings lately.

Consumers Beverages has been in business ever since I can recall (about age 12, I am almost 50 now) and there is a distinct reason why. From the old days of the now-defunct beer balls to Genny Pounder bottles to 1/2 kegs, they have always offered a very WIDE selection of your favorite beers, sodas, and even snacks. They take a lot of pride on their excellent customer service, and it shows! From simply loading up your vehicle with your heavy purchases to helping you plan an entire backyard party or other event, it is obvious why they are truly WNYs beer store!

Its my beer store, I get beer here. It has lots of different beer. You can get beer here on cans, bottles, or kegs. Its a good place to get beer.

Went there at 10AM with bottles and they said only can take 240 of them. I was good with that but 3 more people walked in and they had bottles and they didnt say anything to them. They told me they didnt have the money for me mine were total of 23.10

Consumers is a good store for the most part. Theyve got a solid selection of drinks at decent prices. With that being said, this particular location stopped accepting brands that other locations still accept, which is my primary purpose for going to Consumers, which frankly diminishes the experience.

Has Not Your Fathers beverages, which are surprisingly difficult to find. The Elmwood store was out of Mountain Ale and Orange, so they called the Sheridan store to confirm they had them and to hold two sixers for me. Great experience.

Denied because as a 21 year old I still have my under 21 ID, alongside my interim license. I know math can be hard, but guess what Ill be 21+ the rest of my life and never come back to Consumers thanks to your ingenious policies.

9/10 times when I pick up beer at a Consumers and check the Best By/Bottled On date, its already out of date or close to it. Consumers has an outdated warehousing license that allows them to sit on product in their warehouse in a way that no other beverage retailer in WNY can. It leads to shady practices that end up with out of date beer being on store shelves.

I went in with a friend who is 21, however he did not have a current ID without the Under 21 in red; even though the ID wasnt expired - so they did not allow me to purchase beer. Which is fine, its the law. THEN I went back hours later, alone, and they stated they still will NEVER be able to sell me anything, ever. That is ridiculous and horrible business. Employees are sure to get hours cut if thats how they conduct business. Utter stupidity. I doubt thats even the policy of the store. Id certainly hope not; its embarrassing. Pricing and options are good though, so im sure theyll survive without my business. GL
