Been here a handful of times now (it is just down the street from me after all) and really glad its close by. The service here is always super friendly and efficient and the beer is generally pretty good. They do a lot of collabs too which makes for some interesting beers to try and the food is pretty solid too.Definitely would recommend this place as a top choice for a place to go and chill with friends for a beer or two as well since theyve got a ton of seating (both indoors and out) and events fairly frequently.

This was the coolest brewery! The beer slushies were AMAZING, all the food was great, and the service was super friendly and prompt! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was very relaxed, the perfect place to have a beer and catch up with a friend

Just got back from Alexandria Bay in the 1000 Islands. Stayed at The Riveredge Resort and had dinner in the restaurant there last night. I was very pleasantly surprised by the extensive craft beer selection which included Buffalos own Community Beer Works Summer Playlist (which is my absolute favorite Summertime beer this year)!!

Best brewery in Buffalo. One time my bf asked me to pick up his order one minute before they closed and whoever was closing up that night definitely saw me frantically pull up to a building that JUST closed and he happily told me to wait in the car while he ran back inside for our sours! A true hero

Beer and food were good. Unfortunately the bartender was horrible. She ignored customers, was very slow. A lot of other people said the same thing. If you cant put on a smile and do your job then you shouldnt be there!

I loved how open this place was. I only tried their beer but they did have food. This was back in February when I was in town for work. Would definitely come back again!

I really enjoyed everything about my experience tonight. I had a nice guy wearing a shirt with pineapples on it serve me. He saw I was on my own and asked if I had been there before. He helped me choose a beer and got me a sample. I have no idea what it was but it was good and I had the beer burger. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It was a wonderful location for the premier of go bike Buffalo.

We sat on the patio on a warm friday evening, listened to great music and had an awesome dinner. One of the staff came outside to light the fire pit. I joked about getting the marshmallows. Before I knew it, we had sticks and marshmallows. This made a stressful day at work seem less, everything was excellent

Great place for a beer with great beers

They are trying hard to make you spend as less time there as posible by blasting the music and AC to the max. It is too cold and loud inside. Not a comfortable place

Loved my stay. The #10 beer is absolutely fantastic. The outdoor fireplace is also really great, especially if youve had a couple beers too many!

Great beer and even better customer service!With the current situation Community Beer Works is offering beer delivery. This morning I ordered a few things - not having the car but wanting drinks for later - and didnt think anything of it until the snowstorm hit. I ordered at 10AM and was told the delivery would happen around 3pm. After the storm hit I 100% expected to get a call that they were going to delay/cancel my delivery order, so when I got a call at 2:30 asking for forgiveness if the order comes late I was surprised it was coming at all. The person who delivered introduced himself as the GM and stated since he had a new vehicle and there were few orders he personally fulfilled them and gave his staff the day off to stay home and safe. This kind of customer service and employee treatment goes above and beyond and I see myself being a long time customer with Community Beer Works. The beer is excellent on top of all of this so thank you to all the staff and management that make this magic happen.

Great spot for excellent beers and food. I used to love hanging out there pre-covid but we have been taking advantage of their curbside pick-up during the pandemic which has always been super fast and easy.

Community Beer Works does something that not every brewery/bar can successfully do. They make you feel like family. From the engaging bar staff to the vibrant energy throughout the two story space, I feel warm and cozy. While that may be the delicious beer talking, there is no denying that COMMUNITY is what is being brewed here. The tap board is always diverse no matter what your palette is. From classic styles like Pilsner, Kolsch and Brown Ale (you have to try The Whale) - to more experimental IPAs. They dont stray off the deep end with wild and crazy additions to their beer - they take the classics and add a twist. I have also tried many items on their current food menu - from the Nashville Chicken and Waffles (which can be made Gluten Free) to their fried pickles, sourced from a local spot, Barrel + Brine. And if you are into tater tots smothered in cheese and bacon, well you are in luck. The space is kid friendly - there is a game table set up with everything you can imagine and take back to your table to play as well as pinball. I have also attended a ton of events in this space - from concerts to birthday parties to a themed Parks & Recreation Trivia Brunch. Bottom line, the only thing you have to know before going is dont order Tap #10 (or do, if you are feeling dangerous.)

So many good beers here. Love what theyve done throughout the pandemic too with deliveries and curbside pickup. Definitely go here.

What a great place, stumbled upon it by pure accident. Kyle, our bartender, knows his stuff and you can tell he loves his job. Very friendly atmosphere. And the work and support they provide their community is great. Plus the Beer is DELICIOUS. Make this place a priority on your visit list.

This place never ceases to amaze me. The staff are too notch. The atmosphere is relaxing and makes you feel like youre home with friends. They continue to hold my top spot for best brewery in Buffalo.

Cool spot, vast selection

We have always loved Community, but its possible we love it even more with the way theyre handling Covid-19. The outdoor seating spaces are lovely and socially distant, its clear theyve continued with sanitizing everything, and the beer is top notch as always.

CBW is one of Buffalos hidden Gems. The food and drinks are absolutely. Theres an awesome back patio with a fire pit. I love the pinball machines and the cool retro jukebox. The CBW crew has an impressive brewing operation thats amazing to see. Highly recommended.

It was a nice night on the patio, and my first time at CBW. The patio will only be open through Saturday, September 5, 2020.

Such a bad and dangerous area

As someone who likes to patronize our local buffalo breweries, I find our servers in this area do a great job in general. I think the staff of CBW really stand out among this group. From the moment my wife and I come in, we get a friendly greeting and provided a beer list (and we are not regulars here). Were offered samples any time there is something were curious about and the staff is very knowledgeable about what they serve. Great beer and exceptional service. Cheers CBW!

Comfortable place, good beer and good burgers. Its in the middle if a residential area so it has limited hours, but worth checking out. Currently they have 20 brews on tap, always good to support the local brewers.

This new location is amazing. Great bar, lots of seating, tons of taps, beer garden, bites to eat...they have it all. The beers are always good, so that goes without question. Fun atmosphere. The surrounding area isn’t for everyone, but I say it’s totally worth the visit. We’ll be back for sure.

Conflicted....beer should get four stars. The few i tried were good. Brown ale and a porter (better).We needed to eat so figured on ordering burgers. Three of us were unanimous on this. Dont order a burger. Frozen, thin, tasteless. Thankfully the roll was good. Honestly most beer places pride themselves on the burgers. Not here. Come to drink, not to eat....burgers at least.

Stopped in for the third or fourth time this week. Always have a positive experience! Great beers - always have their classics and an interesting variety of seasonal and smaller batch beers. The bartenders are all fun and knowledgeable. Also great to just swing through and grab a growler!

I loved this place. Great atmosphere. They had an outdoor patio area. multiple table games, shuffleboard, and corn hole. The beers werent too bad either. The bartender was engaging and helpful in selections and small talk.

This is a great place to drink beer. Quality food for affordable prices. Plenty of seating, decent music, friendly staff. There are TVs if you want to see sports, but theyre not overwhelming.

Extremely underwhelmed by our experience. We were looking forward to the stop from out of town, but felt as if we were an imposition. After being overcharged, we were told they couldn’t open the tab to correct it.The bar was moderately busy, with 3 bartenders on. Unfortunately, all 3 were focusing on only the end of the bar where a pinball tournament was taking place.Beer was decent.

They have lost their sense of community. Bartenders didn’t seem to care. You have to order food through a machine, which doesn’t work and then you have to get the food yourself. That might be fine if the food was cheaper, but it didn’t seem that way. When does a machine create a community feeling..? Too bad - it’s sad watching something you like fail.

Awesome local made beer! Shouldnt have to say more than that but I will. There is also a hip tasting room area with games to play as well! Our bartender was very knowledgeable about the selections and beer varieties are constantly rotating.

Food menu works but a little small. You order at the bar then they text you to grab the food - overall pretty quick. Great beer selection and a huge space

Great new location. Food and beer was great. Went there yesterday on a brewery bike tour all across Buffalo and two in our group had their bikes stolen while at CBW. Not the owners fault of course, the bikes should have been locked up. Its just a shame because CBW is a gem in this part of town. Hope the security cameras help find the creeps.

Best brewery in Buffalo, no contest

I was so disappointed with the lack of service and low quality of food. Not worth the price for having to basically serve yourself. The only good thing about this place was the game room but even that was cramped and too hot.

Space was loud. Great nibbles that did not detract from the beers. Good selection of top notch beers. The Whale is a stand out.

My drunk self had a late night pickle craving and a lovely gentleman in the kitchen provided one for me.

Theres some great beer in Buffalo, but this place is hands down the best. To make it even better, their staff is super friendly. I cant recommend CBW enough.

3.5 with room to grow to 4.0 stars. With an outdoor fire pit and a variety of great beer it is hard to complain. The fermentors and brewing equipment are on display and you have pinball as well as other games available. Clean place. This was not my first time here so I was let down when I found out they took the chicken waffles off the menu (this was in addition to running out of pork for all menu items - which means it tastes great). The POS allows them to buzz your phone when your meal is ready which helps with the flow of things. Overall, I feel like the layout of the bar area still needs improvement. It was hard to maneuver and order. Will come back in the summer.

Great little brewery. They have a wide variety of craft beers available, including some guest taps from other places now and again. They also have have other options for those not too fond of beer.

This place is cool. Food and beer are great. One of the better brewery spots to visit.

As an owner of a local business, we agreed to provide a service at this establishment to provide entertainment for their customers. Gave them a discount and billed them at the end of the month. Paid for the first month and not the second. It’s been almost a year and the owner refuses to return emails and phone calls. Employees give me the run around. Extremely unprofessional. Very bad business practices.

CBW has been buffalos best brewery since they got off the ground and that still holds true. I would love to see a tasting room back open at Lafayette again but in the mean time, the new space at 7th st is fantastic. Great beer and great people.

The Whale is a very good Brown Ale. First time here for the Premier of a film titled Buffalo By Bike. A great time with friends and Go Bike Buffalo and SlowRoll Buffalo.

This place was a waste of time. I heard lot about this place from Facebook and friends and went there with high expectations but it wasnt at all what I expected. The chairs were super uncomfortable probably because its more of a stand up place. I didnt expect much out of the bar food but even though low expectations I had werent met. Their trendy names were just a facade to make you buy their garbage food and drinks thats not even good. Not to mention it felt like we didnt even have a waitress. It was kinda self serve. We tried the game room but it was so hot in there it was too uncomfortable to even play.

Probably the best brewery in Buffalo. Ive never hung out here but their beer is of the highest quality.
