I stopped in on a Friday at 3:30 after my check engine light turned on while driving on Scajaquada. I was planning to take a long drive home on Sunday and really didn’t want to wait until Monday to leave. Jordan and the other guys were able to pull my car into a bay, order a new ignition coil from the supplier, and install it before they closed at 5:15 which allowed me to be able to make it home on time. I am very impressed with the quality, the speed, and the price for the service. I would 100% recommend Forest Automotive to anyone in the area and will be returning if I ever have another issue with my car.

Is Forest Automotive the cheapest shop? No. Are the highest quality shop I’ve used? Yes!My experience with Forest Automotive has been nothing but positive! I had a broken exhaust flex pipe, which I knew as it had broken in months past and had a non OEM repair done elsewhere. They expressed that while they could simply replace the flex pipe, they wouldn’t because they couldn’t guarantee that the repair would hold. Instead, the recommended an OEM repair where they would replace a larger portion of the exhaust. I appreciated the explanation and honesty. I opted for the larger repair as in someone that wants the repair performed correct the first time.I also had my NYS Inspection performed while I was there. Again, no issues or complaints!The repair went extremely well and looks very well done. My father was an auto mechanic, so as a result I’ve learned some mechanical skills and have become relatively critical of auto repairs.I also really like that they have the ability to and will text you with status updates regarding your repair.I will absolutely be utilizing Forest Automotive for my future repairs

Im new to the Buffalo area and was tired of being scammed by chain repair shops. I found this little place on the north side of the city. My car was in and out in just a few hours! Honest and fair with their prices.

Had my sons car repaired here. We are in another state so its difficult to find a mechanic that wont rip off young people. These guys were fair, honest, on time and price was great!

We recently moved into the city. Our previous mechanic just retired. Fate has it that our cars all needed inspections and service. I stopped into the shop to meet Brian after loving the write ups about him and the other guys. He was very personable and accommodating to our schedule. He also blew me away with his knowledge about specific issues with modern engines. Highly recommended

Found out about these guys from friend. They were great. Straight forward with everything being done and fair with pricing. I took my car to have some work done. Dropped it off the night before.. They have a drop box for keys. Got my car back the next day. Took my SOs car for an inspection. Appointment was 12 oclock. Dropped it off the night before. They called at 830am to tell me it was all set to pick up. Couldnt recommend them enough... Brian and Jordan were great!!

Ive been coming to this shop for a few years now & I have to say...they are by far the most pleasant, patient & knowledgeable guys in the business. Theyre extremely communicative, they work fast to get your vehicle in & out, and for me personally, they always go above & beyond to keep my beloved old Mazda in excellent condition. Wonderful local mechanic! I had a power steering pump problem in the morning, took to them, and had it looked at by the afternoon same day. They gave me a quote and what the issue was, then estimated time of repair.They had it fixed by the next morning for a very reasonable price! On top of that they noted some minor issues for me to keep an eye on in the future, but said it wasnt important to immediately fix.

I have been going here for about 4 years now and they are super helpful. I was worried about finding a new mechanic when I moved to Buffalo, considering some mechanics will rip people off who do not know too much about cars (for example, me), but they did not! They will explain to you what is going on and will not do anything unless you ask them to. Very trustworthy staff.

Friendly, totally honest, hardworking and LOCAL.I was a regular customer for 7 years at Mr. Tire on Sheridan and Millersport, and went there to replace my snow tires over the winter. They told me then that I also had a leak in my water pump and it would need replacing, and that I also had a leak in my transmission pan. (by the way, this was after i had them flush the transmission for about $200 two months prior. They didnt see the leak then!) I left there with a quote for about $700, and they told me it could wait through the winter but I would need to have the work done to pass inspection.Then last month, I took my car to Jonah and Brian at Forest for an oil change, since its right in my neighborhood and they came highly recommended. I asked them to please check the water pump and transmission pan. They told me the leak in the water pump is negligible, and there is NO leak in my transmission pan whatsoever. And I will pass inspection. I had been lied to for an up-sell at Mr Tire! I am now a Forest convert as are my friends and family, and will never take my car anywhere else for maintenance.As a side note, since my first ever oil change at Forest and not at Mr. Tire, my car runs better, and my gas mileage is better. I may have paid an extra $10 for the oil change but it was 100% worth it!

I couldnt be happier with the service I received at Forest Automotive. I was quoted $1,600 to replace my exhaust system by the dealer. I took it to Forest, and they were very honest and forthcoming with my options. It turns out that just one component of the exhaust needed to be replaced, which only cost $300. I would highly recommend Forest Automotive for anyone looking to get an honest and fair assessment of their repair needs. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Its so important to find a mechanic you can trust.

I came in to get my car looked at because it was making a lot of noise. After charging me to look at it, they told me it was mechanically sound and wouldnt need any repairs for the next 60 thousand miles. I realized afterward that they had disconnected my parking brake. I also came to find out my wheels are so rusty, the structural integrity is compromised, and I need both a wheel bearing and new calipers/rotors. If I didnt trust my gut and have someone else look at it, I could have lost a wheel at high speeds and taken out my whole axle with it. Would 100% avoid

The guys at Forest Auto are always so accommodating. I popped in randomly for a grinding noise and they had me fixed up an hour later. Great prices and they never laugh at my ridiculous questions.

Not only is this place very close to my house, it has some personable and honest mechanics. They didnt try to over sell me on things I didnt need and everything was finished much earlier and for less than I expected. I would highly recommend forest Automotive

Nice guys...but dont trust a place that charges $74 for an oil change. Im not sure if they thought I was dumb or if thats their standard rate, but it definitely turned me off to a place that I thought was a gem of a car shop.
