I had a great experience at this LensCrafters. I came in with a broken pair of beloved frames that they did not carry anymore ( not to mention I didn’t have a whole lot of money available to spend ) and the associate Eleni was able to save the day by finding me a new and almost identical pair of frames and pop in my old prescriptions effortlessly. She really made my whole week by being able to do this for me, and it ended up being within my budget. Super thankful for her taking the extra time to help me with my predicament. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

I will be an optometrist next year and I worked as an optician for seven years before entering optometry school. The twenty minute wait for someone to acknowledge my presence, while two groups of people were acknowledged and assisted before me (despite arriving after me) allowed to me to overhear the general incompetence of the optician that was working there. They were unable to estimate the power of a patients glasses by looking at it, a basic understanding of relative spectacle magnification would help with this. They also were completely stumped when I stated that I needed an optical center measurement for an Eyezen lens, suggesting that was something that my optometrist would need to measure. It’s not, the optical center is a vertical measurement from the bottom of a frame to the location of where the pupil naturally looks through the lens in primary gaze. Which would be unique to each frame.Ordinarily I would really not take the time to write a review like this. But truly, I had a two second question, and had to wait twenty minutes for someone to reluctantly even make eye contact with me.Take it from an eye care professional, skip this one. You deserve to be seen by someone who actually cares.

I went to this LensCrafters and when I tell you the experience was a great one. First I made an appt Thursday but I made it for another location. I was more than willing to reschedule for this location but Dr. Badou was able to fit me in AND I left with contacts. Normally mine have to be special ordered. I also was able to get some frames I LOVED with the help of Eleni. Both Dr. Badou and Eleni walked me through everything before I made any decisions on frames and contacts. Again such a pleasant experience. I’ll update the review with my beautiful glasses when they get here in two weeks !!

I walked in with an unusual glasses repair and it was quickly figured out and fixed. All of the staff were super helpful and I couldn’t recommend this Lens Crafters enough.

I got two pairs of glasses (one regular and one sunglass) from the LensCrafters located in Brookline, MA. The glasses were special ordered and arrived within the timeframes promised. I had some difficulty with the prescription. My ophthalmologist gave me an updated RX and LensCrafters remade them for free. The second order were processed quickly and I received the two new pairs quickly. The staff is professional and I highly recommend them. I will continue to use them for my future optical needs.

The doctor is incredibly rude and inconsiderate of the pandemic at hand.the office is dusty and dirty and looks like a blast from the past. I would not recommend coming here for an eye exam. The people on the sales floor were excellent& clean. Shirley was knowledgeable and helped me with all of my questions about the glasses.

I see from other reviews that I am not the first person to identify the incompetence of this staff. When I received my first order I had problems reading books or computer screens with my progressive lenses. They rudely claimed it was my optometrists fault. I went back to my optometrist who showed how the PD/progression was way off. I went back and they reordered the lenses but never took responsibility. I received the corrected lenses and the right lens is still off. Still not taking responsibility they want me to go back to my optometrist. I complained to corporate customer service only to receive a canned response.To Response from Owner: I did reach out on this link already. At this point I want to speak with a Regional Manager/Director.

Friendly and helpful staff, and short wait time

The customer representative was friendly and helpful at offering options. He was very careful to obtain accurate measurements. I did not feel like I got a hard sales pitch.

The sales people were very accommodating and very patient even though I kept changing my mind. They helped me find styles that I liked. They wanted to make sure that I was pleased with the glasses I purchased. I highly recommend this store.

Disappointed with the service:I ordered my eyeglasses, and I was told to get them after ten days; unfortunately, I did not. I called the store, and a rude lady answered the phone, telling me that I have to count for another 14 days (seriously! Not one or two days?). When I said I want to cancel the order, she hanged up the phone on me. I believe her name starts with S and ends with N ( I couldnt read her name clearly; No Glasses)Cons:-Extra red tape, paying the Doctor separately, then paying for the glasses after.-Non-friendly sales representative (Some, and not all)-Try to sell you the most expensive lenses first, and dont show you all the options. If you refuse, they will show you the less costly alternatives.-They charge more than what VisionWorks does.Pros:+A larger selection of eyeglasses comparing to some other LensCrafters stores in the area+Friendly and helpful Doctor; gives extra time for accurate examination+Convenient location if yo are using public transportation+A friendly technician; He doesnt hesitate to come out and offer help. His tips are more useful than the sales team+ Better precision eye exam than VisionWorks! They give you a variety of eyeglasses measures that you could need( if you ask for it). One progressive, one for computer, and one for sunglasses.

So it was my first time going to this location and I have to say I had a good experience they gave me an eye exam the same day the crew working at the time was helpful they had the frames that I wanted and the doctor Steve who handled my eye exam was really professional and Shannon was absolutely amazing and friendly. This is the worst worst worst glasses store I have ever been to! All the store representatives have certainly no idea what does it mean by customer service. A so called professional broke my glasses frame after adjusting it, and refused to compensate me anything! Giving me 20% off to the frame! Thats what the sales price is. The worst guest experience I have experienced in my past 23 years!!! Please do not go to make yourself uncomfortable!

Service has significantly improved at this location since new management was brought in. Elvin, the manager, is a dedicated problem solver. He is professional, courteous and gracious no matter what issues are brought to him. Amari, the optician who served me, is professional and efficient. She competently answered all of my questions and handled the fitting of three new pairs of glasses in short order!

The employees of this store have made mistakes on my order twice in a row, and I am still waiting for the fix on the second order. The store seems incapable of filling orders and reading prescriptions properly. I will stay away from now on.

I lost my glasses and my prescription was out of date so I needed an exam but the doctor was about to go to lunch and the other times this week were awkward for my schedule, so she stayed and gave me the exam. That part was great. The frames I had had were not really available because eyeglass frame styles are all about planned obsolescence, so that part wasnt great. But generally LensCrafters is a great place to work with.

I called and they said they could do my rec specs in a day or less, if I bring my own frames. I go spend $100 on frames, go in, and spend 30 minutes getting my eyes measured, etc. then they tell me my prescription is too strong to be able to do it at all. Big waste of time and actually the second time I’ve had trouble at this particular location. They weren’t overtly rude, just not helpful at all and gave me false information. I think I’ll try a different spot, next time.

I get you use digital sizing technology but if I tell you my glasses dont feel right and I cant see, take my word for it.I cant see because the left lens is so much closer to my eye than my right, so Ill be going somewhere else to get them adjusted

Very professional and friendly staff. I was able to schedule an appointment and be seen within a week. My appointment only took a few minutes and everything was very professionally completed. It made the whole experience very enjoyable.

Even though they claim to accept Aetna insurance they cant properly run the insurance if it is through medical instead of vision. I gave them all of the information they needed including the phone number of someone at Aetna to walk them through how to bill it properly and they werent capable of doing it. Not worth the time. Also, the glasses are absurdly overpriced. Try somewhere like Eye Buy Direct for glasses at a much better price.

I had a bad experience here at first. as the other guy say, Office clerks are very poor at noticing when it’s ready. they made mistakes, I had to call back many times and it took a month.But finally, the optician I was served was a sincere gentleman and professional. and Glasses were excellently made.when it got broken soon, protection plan works as it should and they replaced it very promptly.I am overall satisfied with optician.

We attempted to schedule a contact lens fitting and were told they only provide Premium Fittings and not Standard Fittings. Premium fittings are for individuals with more complex contact lens needs and are reimbursed at lower rates by most insurers. So basically, even if you dont need the service, thats all they offer. It is equivalent to having your doctor say they only provide MRIs and not XRays. It is an attempt to exploit insurers and customers.

Quick and professional eye exam- followed by bait and switch eyeglass purchase experience. Promised one week turnaround and a “sale” on my merchandise. Three weeks later they still have no target delivery date, and i found the exact same items cheaper over the internet with free delivery. All of which i had to discover for myself through multiple phone calls to the store.I was willing to pay extra for service but was told i was “frustrated” when I expressed by my dissatisfaction with their terrible performance. Incredible.

Horrible service from top down.Order your glasses and lenses online. The retail price on the designer lenses are marked up at least 60% compared to online vendors for same brands.The eye exam is an over-priced joke. Consider NECO or Vision 20/20 as alternatives.Front desk does not communicate with doctors office for tasks as simple as a prescription print out.Dont get duped. You are paying for rent, not for service.

The exam and consultation went well; however, a sales clerk told me that I was eligible for a rebate on my contact lens purchase. I spent almost an hour online filing the rebate only to find out that the particular lenses I purchased werent eligible. She could have saved me a lot of time and frustration had she been better informed about the products.

I have mixed feelings about my experience at this LensCrafters. I came here to get a new pair of glasses as I had lost mine and needed new ones immediately. I specifically decided to go to LensCrafters because although their prices are higher than where I usually go, they advertise glasses in 1 hour. Just as many other reviews mention, there was no technician in and the quickest they could get me my new glasses was two days away. I unfortunately still went ahead with LensCrafters as this was still quicker than the place I usually use, but I was annoyed with the false advertising. Luckily I had an old pair of glasses I could wear during the two day waiting period, but it wasnt ideal wearing an old precription.The staff member who assisted me was friendly enough and was able to look up my eye insurance to get me a lower price so that was appreciated. Overall, I would call this location in advance before you show up and expect glasses same-day.Side note: My family has used LensCrafters in Natick many times and has never had an issue getting new glasses on the same day as they advertise so if you do need them quickly perhaps give Natick a try instead of the Coolidge Corner location.

The store refused to exchange my glasses frames even though I had purchased the warranty plan which allows you to get new glasses if yours break for a lower price. They couldnt find the record for my frames and implied that I hadnt gotten them at Lenscrafters and if I had that I hadnt paid for them. The woman I spoke with sounded like she thought I remembered incorrectly where I had gotten the frames from or that I was trying to pull some sort of con on her, and said I would have to pay full price for the frames.I left and went to the Lenscrafters at Newbury St in Boston who immediately found my records and honored my warranty. The people at that store are awesome, definitely go to them not the Brookline store.

Incredibly poor service. Ordered warranty replacement lens on Saturday. Promised by Sunday and would call when ready. No call Sunday. Call them Monday and told ready later that day / well call when ready. No call. Call them Tuesday Noon and told being finished now, ready in 2 hours / well call you. No call. Call Wednesday and told ready. Get to store and told then need a little over an hour to fit to frame. 2½ later glasses are done. Lenses were made incorrectly. Would not refund replacement fee. Wish I could give Zero stars.
