I started by plastic welding the cracks. Then ordered a Dashskin for my 99 Suburban. The service is amazing. Shipped same day.The color (grey) is lighter than factory. It is close. The fit is good. Around the air bag, and above the glove box, was a little difficult to have stick.It comes with 2 small tubes of silicone. Not enough for such a large cover.Do yourself a favor, and get some caulking gun size GE Silicone ll. Gop the hell out of it in that area. Clamp it in a few spots.It did come out very well after having to re-do that area.Overall, its a nice product.

After 17 years in the South Texas sun the plastic dashboard on my 2004 GMC Sierra was badly cracked. I tried repairs with JB Weld and Gorilla Glue but was unable to get a permanent repair. I ordered the DashSkin cover online based on reviews from other customers. It arrived quickly by UPS in a sturdy box. I followed the instructions by making a dry fit first. The color match was excellent and the fit was perfect. I cleaned the old dash and the underside of the DashSkin with ZEP Industrial Purple Degreaser and attached the new DashSkin cover with the silicone adhesive. As noted by previous reviews the supplied tube of silicone is not sufficient to cover all the attachment areas, and I had to supplement it with additional silicone adhesive. I used heavy books to hold the top of the DashSkin in place and some dowels wedged against the seats to secure the front A/C vent surrounds. I used the foam shipping pads to wedge between the doors and the ends of the DashSkin. After an overnight adhesive cure my dash looks better than new. I am VERY happy with the result and can absolutely recommend DashSkins without reservation.

My GMC Yukon dashboard was cracked at the corner. I found DashSkin online and installed their product. $100 versus $400 new part from the dealership. Easy to install, guaranteed for life, looks good as new. Thank you DashSkin what a great product. Please see the attached before and after pictures.

I wanted to let you know satisfied I am with the Dashskin! I am sensitive to noises (like rattling dashboards) and this is great remedy. My Tahoe dash had two cracks that are an inherent weakness in this model and year. I needed a solution, but did not like the tacky dash covers I had seen. I was on the verge of selling it, but really didn’t want to have to spend the money. I searched the internet and came across a YouTube video showing the DashSkin and how to install it.I thought about doing the install myself, but came to my senses and got the local Chevrolet dealership to do it. It was pricey, but I wanted it done correctly and it was MUCH cheaper than buying a new Tahoe! It looks great and stopped the rattling. It is virtually undetectable. No one can tell it’s not the original.

Save your money. Skins are flimsy and cheap and color fades within weeks of install. Will add photos of the second one I ordered recently and was a totally different color originally than stated.
