My car was in 2 accidents within 3 months Sam at Aamco took personal care of me and my car handled everything with the insurance company and got it back to me in better condition then he got it. I will only bring my car to him for service of any kind. Fast reliable and honest business. He will not rip you off or try to get you to get unnecessary work done to up the cost.

Had a couple issues, including a nonfunctional a/c unit since the middle of June. Was unwisely trying to stick it out until the fall. Despite the high volume of traffic (because its the summer and hot) they were able to get me in within a couple of days after I took it in to be looked at. Had a little bit of a longer wait but it was due to completely understandable circumstances on their part and they were always very professional and apologetic on the phone when I called (several times, sorry guys). Prices are reasonable and they accept coupons! Will definitely be coming back in the future - thanks so much AAMCO!

I came to AAMCO without an appointment, but in need of an inspection sticker. They graciously squeezed me in, though they had a full schedule. It was a very quick and easy process, and affordable. I also appreciated that they took COVID precautions. Id previously made an appointment elsewhere, but left when no one was wearing a mask- I hadnt felt comfortable with the idea of them not wearing a mask in my car. I highly recommend this AAMCO and will definitely be back.

They saved me when my battery decided it was done with me. My car and I broke up that day. It was expensive, but worth it after the day I had. Very friendly people and good experience. Only thing I’d ask is for wearing masks when a customer comes in is all. I have an immune deficiency and am high risk for Covid. Besides that small part, I’ll definitely be back if I ever need help again with my car! A lot of mechanic places aren’t very friendly people - this place was beyond friendly and exceeded my expectation on that! I needed that after the day I had! It’s the small things that truly make a business stand out. For that, I am grateful I went here! ☺️

Was never updated on anything for my car I had to call to get updates didn’t tell me when my car was finished I had to call and find out that my car was finished I take my car there for a clutch and now it comes out with a VSA light and a traction control light Took my car there were just a clutch problem and check engine light. And now my car won’t go past 3k I also took my car there with a steering wheel upside down and you would think with good customer service that they would flip the steering wheel over to the normal way before finishing. I go and show videos of how I didn’t have any of these problems from the time I bought the car to the time I sent it to them on a tow truck and he proceeded to tell me that it’s Irrelevant and I cleared the codes and I have these problems when I came into the shop. 1st and last time I’m taking my car to any aamco if this is how they act. Not to mention I paid 1500 for services in full and have different problems than what I brought the car in for now

Excellent service, but timeliness still needs a little work. My wife brought in car #1 for a 9 am appointment, waited a while before car was taken in, done in 75 min total, too long with an appointment. She brought car #2 in later in the day for a 1:30 appointment, car went in promptly, but no one notified her that it was done until she thought that it had been too long and asked. Oops, it was done half an hour ago. Should have been in and out in 25 min, instead it was an hour. I get the emails reminding me that I havent been in for a while, with a little less sloppiness on the timing side, Ill be a regular.

This place is great. I came in today on 2/7/20 with my caddy sts-v. I was having some intermittent shifting issues and was looking to get a fluid flush and a filter replaced on my transmission. I spoke to the man at the desk and explained what was going on then Sam came out and spoke to me. They put the car on the lift and checked some things out first before doing anything and let me know what options I had. I decided to go with a fluid flush and filter replacement on my transmission. The car is shifting very nice since. The prices are very fair here and the shop, waiting room and restrooms and very clean. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a honest staff to work on your car. Awesome place! Will be back again! Thanks!

They installed a new transmission in my truck and two weeks later the hoses blew off because they were not installed correctly. They then rigged it so they would not have to replace the lines they messed up the first time. Not even three thousand miles later they come off again and charge me $300 dollars for something they admittedly screwed up the first time. Totally ripped me off. They even talked me into the better transmission so everything would be covered. Then said they could not find my warranty. When i spoke with the guy on the phone i said i was not paying for the hoses and if they were charging me for it to have Sam call me first. No phone call was ever made to me, but when i get to the shop there was a bill. Its a shame because he just lost a lot of business. I have 9 trucks in our fleet and i was looking for a new mechanic. these rip off artists will not be it.You conveniently left out you admittedly screwed up the hoses the first time. For those same hoses to come off a second time in less than 1000 miles. I did not authorize the fix. I said if you are charging me for this to have Sam call me. Dam never called. They asked to do the oil change and I said yes. I will be reporting this to the BBB tomorrow as well. I have run a business for 25 years and would never rip someone off like this. Your mistake and I am paying for it. Your manager lied. I only okeyed the fix if it was converted by the warranty. Had that conversation twice.

Called and was able to get same day service. Sam listened as I described the behavior of my car and after checking it out, he called and explained what was needed and took care of it. His team serviced the transmission leak and provided additional diagnosis for another issue. This place is great. I love the customer service. The site is clean, well maintained, and everyone is friendly. My car needed a lot of work and I was quoted a price over the phone. Hayden called me back the next day and said he had a coupon that he could apply that would save me an extra 80 dollars. I have been a long time Firestone customer, but I think that is going to change.

These guys are amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly but still professional. Hayden and Sam were very upfront and direct about what was wrong with my cars transmission and carefully explained every step they would take to fix it. They reassured me that they wanted to avoid the most costly scenarios, which is always a relief. Between that and the timely updates, the fair pricing and a generous discount for first time customers, it was an excellent experience overall. I feel that I lucked out finding these guys and will definitely be returning to them for any future car repairs.

This place is not only expensive but the staff lie! They told me one price over the phone, but when I got there the bill was $100. more, the mechanic said that he never said a different price to me. The door handle that they fixed was just rigged, that cost me 300.00! It is going to break if I pull with a little tug. Dont waste your hard earned money at this place. I feel so betrayed, and so ripped off. I only gave them a star rating at all so I can post this. They rate no stars

Ill start by saying that it takes a lot to get to me and I have never left a negative review anywhere or for anyone up until now.This review is for a customer service issue as well as a refund issue. Some time in June I decided to take my 2010 Mazda 3 to AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care of Bristol PA where I met a very nice man named Tom. I was having an issue where I felt was potentially transmission related. Tom and I had an understanding that if the car needed a new transmission, I would not move forward with the repair as it is an old car with 160,000 miles on it. After about a week Tom called and informed me of the good news that it was not a problem with the transmission, and that the problem has been resolved. The car needed a transmission control module. I paid $580 to complete this service. I left their parking lot & the car began to experience the same symptoms that brought me there to begin with. I quickly turned around and informed Tom. Tom quickly advised for me to leave the car with him as he pointed out that I have paid good money for this service and he wanted to make it right which to me sounded very honorable. Fast forward to today 11/1/18, I just got my car back and basically felt that I was kicked out of their establishment by the owner.I called a few days ago and spoke to a Sam who identified himself as the owner. Sam informed me that Tom quit his position with AAMCO abruptly and he would have to look at my car which has been there since JUNE. A couple of days go by and Sam informs me that the car needs a new transmission which contradicts what Tom (His former employee) told me. Tom GUARANTEED me that it %100 was not the transmission causing the symptoms and it was a wiring/communication issue. Sam the owner provided a $2500-$3000 quote without offering a refund on the previously falsely diagnosed transmission control module which his employee at the time already took ownership for. Basically had a too bad, it is what it is attitude. I saw where this was going and decided to remove my car today 11/1. When I arrived at the shop, Sam continued to justify the false diagnosis $580 charge by stating I needed a control module anyway due to the codes etc. (Saw this one coming from a mile away) Again this contradicts everything Ive been told for months. I dont know car computers and codes, that is why I rely on a professional, honest mechanic for help. I was getting nowhere so I left. In addition, the car had no gas left in the tank and cigarette ashes all over the back seat! It reeked.. I called to inform Sam of the cigarette ashes and matches in the back seat and his response was that I need to talk to Tom (Who quit and Im beginning to see why). This man is unable to apologize or take ownership of anything. Everything was Toms fault zero integrity ... Even though my car was there for months, it was very pleasant speaking with Tom, he really took an interest and was genuinely in my corner. Ill miss him and his professionalism. I believe the owner should take ownership of the matter and make it right and not use Tom as the scapegoat. Tom promised he would make the necessary adjustments for a refund if he couldnt resolve the issue. I should not be out $580 because the employee decided to quit. I basically felt like I was being kicked out of there. I am not happy about my car reeking of cigarettes and seeing the ashes all over the back seat. Crazy bad experience and extremely unprofessional. Not even about the money anymore. People need to be aware of this. Good luck. Thanks for reading.Update: just uploaded a pic of a book of matches and some cigarette ashes (the little white specs) found in the back seat. Drove to work and noticed the bad smell.. then noticed this. As I stated above, owner blamed his worker and advised me to speak with him.. him meaning Tom, the employee who no longer works there. We recently had a transmission problem on our Tribute that we purchased used about 2 years ago. At the time of purchase we also purchased an extended warranty. Never having a transmission issue before on any of our vehicles, we RADNDOMLY choose an AAMCO location out of the phone book! We were lucky enough to have found Sam and his son Hayden! They took GREAT care of us, they dealt with the warranty company directly, they were in contact us with us every step of the way! We have already referred some of our family to them, hopefully, they will use them. They were very fairly priced too! They installed new Rack and Pinion unit for steering and now car is working fine. However, still needs to do steering alignment and during installation they mismatch something so rgtnow nothing is working like Car Horn, even Air bag light is blinking.Anyways they informed me that they will fix it. Hopefully they will fix all those issues. But overall experience was good !!

Sam literally saved my engines life from blowing up. I originally went to Valvoline for an oil change and they messed up and made my engine light come on and my oil was spitting back out And leaking on my transmission . Blew the transmission on my plow truck Friday morning 1/18. With my usual mechanic closed, I called a friend asking for a reference for a good transmission shop and was told to try aamco,Bristol. Bought the truck in to Sam at 10am and explained that I needed the truck by Saturday afternoon because of the possibility of more snow. I sked what time they would close and Sam state When your trucks done. Got a call at 5pm telling me transmission rebuilt and truck is ready. I stumbled into this Aamco looking for an inexpensive oil change on a rainy day. I am certainly glad I did. Upon pulling in, everything seemed fine. During the oil change, they completed a breif inspection and returned with 3 items to be addressed. I was surprised to hear that I had a brake fluid leak at the rear of my truck. Hayden told me I should get this addressed very soon but didnt push to get the job. I paid my bill for the oil change and got in my truck to leave. I immediately found my brakes were not in the condition they were the last time I used them. My first reaction was what did they do to my truck. Being mechanically savvy (I am a service advisor in a shop that works on medium duty vehicles) I took a look to verify the problem for myself. The metal brake line going to the rear had rusted through and was now leaking catastrophically. Dumb luck. Hayden got my truck right back in the shop they worked on it the rest of the day. I left there about 15 minutes after they closed and Sam personally test drove my vehicle. The service was fantastic. Now, I just wish this shop was closer to my home.

Poor service, bad customer customer, never called me on time (4x they were supposed to call me). First appt said he was going to put a cooling fan with my transmission and end up didn’t. Fixed my car and forgot all sorts of nuts and bolts. I was due for my oil change the next day so I had the mechanic checked on it for—thank God! Long story short, transmission works...there are times where it feels like it’s not going to kick over.

I called and scheduled an appointment for 8am was told the job would take about 2 hours they needed to diagnose my car to see what was wrong as it was overheating. I came in with a diagnostic paper from autozone because my check engine light turned on and it started over heating so trusting the job would be done in 2 hours I went home on an Uber.. then 2 hours passed no calls I let it slide I figured okay it might be busy then 2:30 comes around and my bf calls to inquire and was told they haven’t looked at the car yet give him an hour so right there I was already alarmed but ok so then I gave him 2 hours it’s now 5:30p and he says They are almost done it’s probably the radiator we aren’t sure if it will be done today. Then they called me an hour later to say there is a hole in my radiator they don’t know what caused the hole but that it’s not covered under my warranty so I would need to pay them 157.00 for the diagnosis and the coolant they added and that the actual labor would be 838.00. So this is where it gets good.. I pull up to the shop with my bf and my bf is talking to the guy he gives us the invoice and my “keys” and I immediately notice those weren’t my keys, so I told him hey those aren’t my car keys lol and he says they’re not I could’ve sworn these were the keys used I’m like nope those aren’t mine.. takes him a while but he finally finds the key then we look at our invoice and the info on the invoice was for the wrong car!!! So immediately the man just refunded our money back didn’t even like apologize for all the screw up. My boyfriend says is that even the right diagnosis ? Because the invoice is for the wrong car! And the man just says yes it is and gives us our money back no explanation at all. So my assumption is he never did a damn thing to my car besides probably just move it he said it’s leaking antifreeze but.. Never have I ever had any leaks on that car even upon removing the car from the spot he had it parked at there were no signs of any leaks.. that normally would be right under my car am I correct? My overall experience here sorry to say was bad and it wasn’t really that they had bad customer service it was more that they were not honest people and if I hadn’t looked at my receipt I would of never realized the screw up! I will never be going in here taking it to Nissan from here on out.

To make a long story short, I had a noise coming from the rear of my Toyota. I tried getting the tires rotated at one shop. Went to another shop they said I would need to have the entire rear replaced and the cost was huge. Went to the 3rd shop they wanted thousand dollars to open it up and look at it.Finally spoke to Sam at AAMCO he test drove it, told me exactly what was wrong and confidently said he could fix it. Plus the cost was reasonable. They delivered on time and at cost and the noise is gone. I found my new repair shop.

Very well priced and great customer service. Everything was thoroughly explained which is huge for me considering im not a mechanic. If you want to make sure your car gets fixed right without getting ripped off i definitely recommend the Bristol Aamco.

I would come here for oil changes - I maybe got like 5 or 6 done here.... the last time I got my oil change they didn’t even put the correct info on the sticker or my receipt. .. So months later when I had to see when I had to get next oil change the info was totally incorrect - super ticked off by this I mean how do you put wrong info on stuff like this? Clearly was rushing and switched my info with another customer. I will not be returning to this place for my oil changes moving fwd.

If there were 10 stars available, that would be my choice. I dealt with this shop when it just did transmissions. Back then they did an excellent job....they did two different vehicles for me.My mechanic went out of business and I was looking for another. I hooked up with Aamco after they moved to Bristol and became a total car care center with a larger facility.Not only do they have excellent service, their prices are great. I also found that no matter how difficult the problem, they always find a solution. They always quote out work before performing it which many shops dont. I learned the hard way.If youre looking for a cheap patch job, go someplace else; Aamco of Bristol only performs high quality and guaranteed work.I can go on and on at how they have assisted me, but I think you need to experience that for your self. 10 stars....Hell No! I give them 20!

Great service, professional, and competetivly priced. There appears to be a strong smoke stench in the store and wait time has consistently been downplayed. If they say 1 hr it means 2 hours. If they say 2.5 hours it means 5 hours.

Recently, I took my 2004 Mercedes with transmission issues and within two hours problem was solved. I highly recommend everybody if having transmission problems. Thanks to AAMCO Transmissions of Bristol for making my life easier.

,, Liars unprofessional my SUV drove better when it had a bad transmission in it I would never ever go back there not even to put air in my tire sorry I ever took my vehicle there big mistake nice people but Id rather have mean trustworthy people honest and whoever called themselves repairing my car I dont think they really knew what they were doing
