These guys are GOOD! I just walked in to get an estimate, and drove out with a new muffler and exhaust pipe.. The original estimate was way outside my budget, but they were able to come up with a safe and cost-effective solution.I asked on two or three Facebook groups which shops should I avoid and why, and which shops they would recommend. AA Muffler & Brakes got more votes than any other repair facility. Highly recommended. [They have MUFFLER in their name, duh!]As a walk-in I was in and out in under 75 minutes. That NEVER happens. 😕 Thank you Double-A!

I typically do not leave reviews, but I am impressed! I had an aging and leaky flex pipe. They repaired it well, and my expectations have been exceeded! The price was very fair, and the service from Dave was great. Ill definitely recommend them to friends and family.

If you have car trouble, this is the place to go!! Dave and the rest of the guys here are amazing! No joke!! They saved me and my kids. I was desperate as my car broke down while traveling from out of town. Two days prior I had to have my vehicle towed due to a low coolant issue and was told it was my water pump even though coolant was pouring out. Had that replaced only to have it break down again 2 days later. Coolant was again just pouring out. As I sat in my car calling any and all mechanic shops around I became frustrated because everyone was booked out, most over a week or more. Called AA Muffler and Brakes and spoke to Dave. Even though they were booked out he was so kind and thoughtful and told me I could bring it by and he could look at it to maybe give me an idea what was wrong but wasn’t sure they could work on it right away. I was like 2 minutes away. As soon as I pulled up, everyone was so friendly and Dave took my car back right away. Turns out it was just a clamp and they fixed it right away and didn’t charge me a penny. They took the time to answer my questions and even the mechanic came out and showed me the old clamp and explained why it wasn’t working. As I said, these guys are honest, friendly and completely kind!!! If you need car help, go see these guys!!!! Thanks again guys!!!

Needed brakes for my jeep. Everyone there explained what I needed and the cost. I was on a time restraint as I had a meeting. The mechanics jumped right in and had me on my way in an hour. Great service, nice friendly people.

I was very happy as usual with AA in terms of completing requested services. Ken went above and beyond to complete my tire rotation when we were unable to locate the necessary tool to remove the tires. My husband and I have been customers there for over 25 years and have always been satisfied with their work, and for me, the fact that they treat women customers in the same professional manner as they treat men.

Love this place! Shop down the street said I needed brakes on the front and rear of my car for over $900. Went to AA for second opinion and they showed me my rear brakes where good 50% left and I replaced the front for $310. Thanks, my family will be back.

These guys do outstanding work! I brought my truck in for an alignment and could tell immediately upon leaving that its straight and true now. Called a couple days prior and they set me up for an AM drop off, Picked it up a few hours later. Their prices are far better than what a dealer would charge for an alignment! Very happy!

Wow...never before have I had such a god awful experience at a shop in my life. My journey starts out with me calling a few days prior in hopes of them installing a muffler delete on my car, the gentleman on the phone tells me to come on Tuesday, I asked for a specific time and he said “bring it first thing in the morning” the shop opens at 8:00 and I was there at 8:15. When I entered I said I had an appt for first thing in the morning in which the man behind the counter then laughed at me and said “you think this is first thing?” And proceeded to laugh in my face. I drop the car off and wait about 4-5 hours (for a 30-45 minute job) when I call and check on the car they tell me that the exhaust “doesn’t fit”. I took it across the street and had it installed in under 15 minutes. I can’t believe these guys are successful In any way shape or form. Do not recommend.

I recently moved to Brighton from a small community up north. I had a mechanic there who I used for years with great confidence. I was leary about finding a new mechanic that I could trust. I have brought my truck twice to AA Muffler and Brakes for repairs. They have definately earned my trust and confidence. They are caring, professional and charge an extremely fair price for their work. I would Highly recommend them to anyone needing repairs on their vehicle!

Outstanding service as far as I am concerned.I usually take my cars to Brighton Auto but this time they couldnt get me in till the following week. My son mentioned we should try AA Muffler and so I gave it a whirl.I needed a Flex pipe for my daughters 2010 Focus and they quoted me $400 and was pleasantly surprised when I went to pick it up the next day, the job came in at $341. They could have still charged me $400 and I would have been none the wiser, but they didnt and that is everything right there. The guy who did the work ( sorry, cant remember his name) even came out to explain that it wasnt as hard as he thought it was going to be and is why he only charged me $341. He even repaired some other minor items on the muffler I guess that my son had done to make it sound louder ~ kidsBottom line, I was very happy with AA Muffler & Brakes and would highly recommend them.

Didnt fix my leaking tire. Said they looked it over and found nothing. Putting air in it everyday still.

I got my car fixed fast. They even gave me a ride home while I waited. I locked myself out of my house and they took me back to the shop as well. It was cold outside they offered me fresh coffee and drink. Reasonable price.. friendly and fast and felt like a family ran place. Highly recommend

I was 3 hours from home, and I was planning on buying a vehicle in the area. Two of the nicest people offered to put it up on the hoist to check for an oil leak. They ended up saving me a bunch of money because the car had issues with it. If you’re looking for hard working, down to earth, genuinely great people... this is the place!

Bought an after market exhaust and brought it to them to have installed, they only put on the new system where it was convenient for them then kept the remaining pipe so I couldn’t take it somewhere else to get their screw up fixed...

Don and Dave were awesome! They helped me right away - it was by far the most painless experience I have ever had at an auto shop. They allow dogs in the waiting area which was really great; she got a lot of attention that day. I would definitely recommend AA Muffler to everyone :)

The quote I was given was appalling for a simple brake line repair, customer service was rude and unprofessional, I completely see why there was basically no wait to get my truck in. Will never even consider this shop again. WARNING THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF GET A SECOND LOOK!

A few other shops had a week wait. Tried AA they said the same. I explaimed that I had no ride home. The gentleman at the cointer said let me go see if they can look at it for you. 5 minutes later the repairman came out and said what the issue was nd he can actually fix it right then, and cheaper than I was expecting. Great service! 👍getting it fixed same day was such a huge help to me. Would recommend, and I will return for future service needed.

Ken and his team are top notch. I took my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica in for a muffler problem in January 2018. Chrysler no longer made the muffler but Kens team was able to get it fixed and running like new in no time! In June 2018, I took my Mustang in to get a quote on new tires. He beat his local competitors by $500! Went in on a Monday for the quote, had the tires on my car by Wednesday evening. Very friendly, affordable and trustworthy service. He wins my business for all my future automotive needs. Strongly recommend!

I just had my oil changed and went with the full synthetic. Their price was less than Ive been charged at other places for mere semi synthetic. I enjoyed exiting my vehicle and waiting in their reception area with a cup of fresh coffee. The counter employees were friendly and made me feel like I was a neighbor. They will be doing my oil changes from now on, and any other service they provide if my car needs it.

Purchased a whole exhaust front to end in March 2019, paid about 1400$ and not a year and a half later the whole system is rusted through, falling apart, and I’m left to foot the bill even though there is an advertised “lifetime warranty” on all muffler/exhaust repairs.

These guys were able to fit me in to look at my car same day, but at a hefty price. They charged me $80 for less than an hour of service and all they did was put air in my tires, re-calibrated my tire pressure system and diagnosed that my parking break switch was broken (they did not fix it, as they could not find the part). I would recommend going elsewhere if you can but they will do in a pinch if you are okay with paying the price. I personally will never go back. My normal mechanic wouldnt even charge me for this. I also wonder if I had been a man instead of a woman that needed service in a pinch if I would have been charged less money?

I never thought I would enjoy an experience at an auto repair place so much. I was traveling when my muffler went out (though at the time I had no clue what was the problem). It was a snow storm and we were advised by another shop that was too busy to take care of my car, that Ken at AA Muffler would be able to assist. When we arrived, it was incredibly busy with clients coming and going every minute. Somehow, Ken and his team squeezed us in and clearly communicated the issue as well as the solution to the problem. I cannot thank Ken and his team enough for providing wonderful service and at a fair price.

Quick and honest. Bracket fell off the exhaust pipe and made a hole which caused the very loud exhaust rumble. Thought I would need a new section of pipe. They said all it needed was to welded back on. In and out in less that 30 minutes. Will I go back again if needed..... You bet.

After the second time of leaving the local Ford Dealer with problems such as, they did not actually rotate my tires (I check the PSI in each before hand), they tried to sell me a transmission flush (which was done only 8,000 miles prior) and the check engine light coming on no more than 100 miles off the lot (for the second straight service), I decide to go to AA Muffler instead of going to the dealer for a $100 dollar review of my check engine light.I was taken care of and the entire car was checked. They found no engine issues, my transmission fluid was almost perfect and the check engine light was only for a sensor. No charge and taken care of in minutes. They have earned my business moving forward.

Grossly overcharged me for a simple brake hose fix and bleeding.Yes I was pretty much standed with a car that cant break. But never again would I come here.Not to mention the people there kept screwing around on their phones or putting a locked chain around a mechanic; very unprofessional.

Bought new tires based on their recommendation. Those tires had over 50K on them and were still good. 25K miles later they tell me I need to buy all new tires. They offered me a discount on the same set of tires. Just what I want another cheap a#$ set of tires.

Dropped off a ford expedition for muffler and brake line replacement. they quoted me $500 for the muffler all the back and referred me to the dealership for the brakes lines. They said it was too difficult job for them. They laughed when I came back to pick up the car. I took the car down to Bobs Tire and Auto Service. Car only need the muffler and not the rest of the exhaust $250. Bobs also replaced all the brake lines for $350.

I was a mechanic for many years and usually do all my own work, one day I was getting ready to go on a road trip and needed my brakes done ASAP so I told my wife to take the car here. She told me they wanted $850 to do my brakes and both my front calipers were bad. So I said never mind I will do it myself and do all that for only $300. So I did the brakes and my front calipers were perfect. Places like this is what gives auto shops bad reputations. Completely b.s. trying to sell people stuff they don’t need. Do not let this place touch your car unless you like to throw money away

Purchased tires and was told FREE rotation and balance for lifetime of tires, even wrote it down that Ken told me this. Brought back year later and had them done for Free and had it documented. Went in recently and was told never had free balance, even took original receipt and showed him where I had this wrote down.Needless to say will not be back- nor will my co-workers.Watch out and get it in writing and signed by Ken.

Tried to charge me $230 to replace a 6 inch pipe. Told them hell no n they dropped the price $50 instantly admitting the gouge. Got it done up north for $40!!!!!! They shud b shut down!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
