I finally had the opportunity to visit the absolute cutest shop in downtown Brenham. Great merchandise, coffee, and staff. I highly recommend visiting Ballad of the Bird Dog if you’re in the area. Not to mention they have the sweetest/coolest pups.. always a bonus in my eyes.. highly recommended

I’ve never been in person but I love shopping with them online! They have a great selection of unique and quality products from interesting brands and makers. I often go to their online shop when I’m looking for a gift. They are always fast to get my order shipped to me too. I hope to visit the shop in person one day!

Always good products. I especially love their candles! They smell amazing and burn very well, lasting much longer than other candles Ive used. The incense matches are also very cool. Love the Sandalwood.

I adore this shop! I pop in every time I am in Brenham to grab a coffee (the not-too-sweet mocha is my absolute favorite), my boys want to stop in to see the sweet dogs that are normally there, and I grab a hat/shirt or some of my now favorite safer skincare products. It is such a fun place!!!

My husband and I are new to the area, escaping city life. We were looking for a good coffee and stumbled upon Ballad of the Bird Dog. Not only was the coffee delicious, but the shop was perfect. Everything they curated to fill this place was unique and quality. Not like most small town boutique shops you see, with very similar/if not the same products. We spent almost an hour looking around, shopping, and talking with the owners, who seem like great people. Highly recommend checking this spot out! Well be back to support this small business!!!

I always love going to this store. First, you are greeted by the cutest labs. They have a great curated collection of jewelry, hat, shirts, boots, unique gifts, and while you shop, they can make you a great cup of cold press coffee.

Took a day trip with friends and happened upon this incredible store. Definitely a one-of-kind experience. Imagine being surrounded my unique gifts and products everywhere you look?! Did I mention the high class coffee? We had a lavender oat milk flat white and a decaf iced latte. Very good quality.Store owners Jared and Kathleen were both engaged and quite knowledgeable about the coffee. I will be taking their recommendations seriously. What a breath of fresh air. I am visiting from out of town. Store was not busy, I tried to make a purchase, stood around for 20 minutes while the ssles clerk to a phone order and visited with the caller. The man in front of me was trying to place a coffee order and was being ignored, the final straw was when the phone caller came to get her order and the saleswoman continued the conversation they were having by phone. I put my items down and left the store. The saleswoman had the nerve to shout out at us thank you for coming! You lost a sale and a future customer, I wont be back. I visit Brenham pretty regularly too.

Adorable little shop attached to a coffee shop. Couldn’t resist the urge to look around and get a couple small goodies while here. Well kept, great staff, and very patient with me and my three kids in the store! Will be back with my husband when he can lasso the children and I can shop!

I love their coffee, and it’s always great to walk around the store while they’re making the coffee to look at all their merchandise. I have bought several shaving products from them including a shaving bowl, brush, balm; and pre-shave oil. All of them have been fantastic—high quality and a decent price. Will definitely be back again!

From the outside, i thought this was just a coffee shop so I ventured in for a coffee before I hit the road back to Houston. Walked in and was greeted by 2 friendly dogs. 5 stars right there. Then noticed that the trendy clothing and accessories for both men and women, not to mention the home goods and leather wares.All in all a really cool contemporary shop with coffee and a lounge in the back. Will def be back on my next visit to Brenham to do some shopping.

I normally order Maison Louie Marie products directly, but they were out of stock. A Google Search led me here and I fell in love with this store. They have a stunning collection of products.The owners reached out when I placed my order, it shipped within a day, and I couldnt be happier. Friendly people in the shop and it’s so fun to browse and discover new items each time you make a lap around the store. When ordering online, it was fast, easy, and shipped quickly. These are the types of places that we must support. Not only are they a small business, but they support other small businesses by selling their products in their store. I bought a pair of Redwing boots that I’ve had my eye on for a while, and decided to make the purchase at Ballad of the Bird Dog because they deserve the business. Love this place! I stopped by on the way back to Austin from Houston for a cup of coffee... I ended up staying and studying for like 4 hours (and they let me have my dog in there too!). They have super cute and unique gifts, and I got most of my Christmas shopping done all in one place! And the coffee was good too. And their dogs were cute. And the staff was all so nice! Cant say good enough things about this place. Catch me stopping by every time Im driving through! 12/10

Lived in Brenham most of my life and this shop fits so well with the personality of Brenham. I get so excited when I come to visit cause I know I’m gonna stop in here and get coffee at mescalito as well. The owners and employees are so nice welcoming and informative. They are also very active on their social media. The selection of inventory is diverse and affordable.

Warm and inviting, absolutely lovely locally owned and super well done shop in downtown Brenham . Fab coffee and pop up barbers in the back of this historic building. Bonus: the shop dog/s are super sweet and friendly too. Lots of high end local-ish makers and very well selected items. Also some sweet affordable options that feel special. Something for everyone.

Ballad of the Bird Dog is an exceptionally cool store with mens wares and unique items for the home/office. Good selection of Howler Bros. clothing. Incredible place. So glad we stopped by. Visiting for the day from Houston and Melissa, Claire and Kathleen were so friendly to my young daughter and I - and the pour over coffee and iced matcha with lavender was off the hook. Beautiful establishment and atmosphere.

First of all, let me comment on the quality and beauty of these shoes. I ended up ordering 2 pairs of boots and keeping one. They are so stunning, comfortable, go with everything, in short theyve been my winter go to. I did unfortunately have to return one pair, only because they were too small otherwise I would be battling over which pair to wear every day. That being said, the return process was made such a dream by the wonderful team at ballack of the bird dog. Seriously this place has gone so far above and beyond to be a help to me!! I couldnt be happier with my experience and purchase with these guys. Seriously, go shop from them and support a wonderful business.

Amazing selection of items for the home, for travel, for grooming, and all stellar quality. The Ballad of the Bird Dog is completely well thought out through and through.
