We recently moved to the area and purchased a refrigerator and washer and dryer set from Famous Tate on the recommendation of our realtor. We built a new home in Tampa and wanted to purchase appliances locally…Famous Tate was recommended to us. We worked with Santiago Reyes who was incredibly attentive and provided us with several options. Doing this from NY while many appliances were back ordered as a result of COVID made this a challenge but Santiago made sure we got a fridge, washer and dryer for the right fit, budget and delivery time. Mr. Reyes is the reason why I would do business with Famous Tate again and recommend them to others. He is truly an asset to the company and represents the Brandon location with excellent customer service. A wonderful experience for sure.

Once we found a salesman that was free (The one we originally contacted was perpetually busy with customers which overall is a good thing) we had a great experience. Christian took great care of us and found us what we needed and kept within our price point. Delivery and setup was on time and the guys were great.

THE absolute best appliance shopping experience Ive ever had! Did a search online to see what they had, and compared to other appliance stores in the area. When we showed up, Brandon met us, asked us a few questions, told him what I was looking for, and we selected one they had in stock (one of my previous search criteria). All in all, we were in, and out of the store in 15 minutes, which included his talk about the extended warranty, and delivery arrangements.

Store was big and clean. Sales guy was very friendly and helpful. Price was right. Delivery was on time, quick, and efficient. I was just so happy that they had what we wanted in stock! Every other place (Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy) said we had to wait weeks or months to get it! That doesnt help when your fridge dies and has to be replaced asap! Only thing that could have made it better would have been if they had Kenmore, and if it would have had an ice maker built in instead of one having to be installed.

I highly recommend buying all your appliances from here and the man to talk to is Chris The Mattress Guy. He was completely amazing. He educated us, he was patient with us, and he definitely knew his stuff. I felt confident and trusted his opinion. He also made sure we got the best rate.

Absolutely phenomenal experience with Famous Tate, Brandon Store. We have always used Famous Tate in the past. You cant beat their prices, knowledge, professionalism, and how important they make you feel. We purchased the GE 7.2 cu.ft. electric dryer. The salesman was extremely friendly and helpful in answering my questions about it over the phone and then taking my order over the phone also. Our delivery was scheduled along with arranging for the haul away of our broken dryer. We received a follow up call the day before delivery and the morning of. Our dryer was delivered first thing in the morning and the delivery guys were so professional and courteous, and so very careful with our new appliance. Everything went so smoothly and the dryer runs like a dream! Soon we will need to purchase a new electric range and we will definitely be using Famous Tate again!

Was on a waiting list for two months .Over the Oven Microwave finally came in. Brandon Lamb my Sales Person was always polite and understanding. He was frustrated with the lack of inventory. I had a very bad experience with Home Depot . I am glad we waited. Installers were capable unlike Home Depot People. I will try to use them for all my appliance purchases. Bruce Wolfson the Manager at the Main Store in Tampa is a Gem! An asset to the Famous Tate Company.

Very happy with washer. Wish salesman had told me upfront that it would be two weeks and not the end of the week for delivery. He was not our usual sales person and I almost felt like I was a bother to him, but I needed a washer. Delivery people were fantastic!! Still waiting since 1-21-21 for a new dishwasher! Already paid for. Keep being told another month or so.... Meanwhile, water bill keeps going up because of all the hand washing. Someday.....

Bob was extremely helpful in finding an 8K BTU through the wall AC unit for me. He also recommended an installer who promptly made appt to install. I would have given a 5 star rating; however, the 14K BTU unit I purchased for installation at same time was not a through the wall unit & had to be returned.

Called Famous Tate based strictly on advertising and boy was I glad I did. My refrigerator died and could not be repaired, I knew appliances were back logged due to covid and chip shortages but Chris Clark at Famous Tate was able to help me. He took my order over the phone and provided us with a loaner fridge to hold us over till the fridge we wanted is available. He was so knowledgeable, helpful and had a great personality. We needed to replace a microwave but initially couldnt get anyone to help us. So we left. Since we had bought quite a few appliances from them in the past my Wife wanted to go back again. This time we had an outstanding sales rep named Jacob. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and took his time. I highly recommend this Company as long as Jacob takes care of you. My LG fridge (subject of a class action lawsuit) stopped cooling 2 months after moving into my new home. I went to Famous Tate where Ive had good experiences in the past. I was looking for a bent and dent for my garage until my LG is repaired (hopefully) in 2 weeks. I went directly to the markdowns and Christian asked if he could help me. After explaining what I was seeking, he knew about a new shipment; and went above and beyond to check in the back for additional options for me. I purchased one of the ones from the back quick I would have never known about. Then, it wasnt going to be delivered for 5 days. Yet Christian promised me that hed call if new openings occurred. I thought yeah right. Believe it or not, he called and I got my fridge 2 days early. I was ecstatic bc all my food was in ice chests, and I had to keep buying ice and draining the water. I would really recommend Famous Tate if you are shopping for any kitchen appliances!

Our washer recently went out and had to be replaced on the heals of our refrigerator doing the same last year in May. We went elsewhere for the refrigerator, and after a long wait due to Covid and one delivered severely damaged, starting the whole waiting time over again, it took a year and 2 months to finally get one that was scratched! Decided to give Famous Tate in Brandon a try for the washer, and are we ever thankful that we did! Most salespeople don’t like answering a lot of questions over the phone. They would prefer you come into the store, but my husband and I are high risk and Covid is keeping us close to home. Chris Clark answered my call and the blessings started pouring in! He spent so long on the phone with me, patiently and helpfully, answering every question I had to assist me in narrowing down the right washer and dryer for us, and he had them in stock so no wait! By the end of a phone call, we had selected our appliances. We ordered them on a Friday and they were delivered and installed on the following Tuesday, with not one scratch or dent!!! Last week our 5 year old GE microwave died. I found and bought the same make and model online at Famous Tate. The price was about the same as it was 5 years ago. I picked up the unit at the store in Brandon, FL the next day. We have traded with FT for many years, including appliances and bedding. Have never had a problem with service or quality.

We were so pleased with the selection, the sales team, and their knowledge of products. We were there to pick out a fridge for our new construction townhome and we will be back for more items because Jacob was a great, no pressure salesperson! Everything started out good, pleasant sales person, good product and as soon as we paid for everything- (GE Washer & Dryer, and a dish washer) everything went down hill... 8 weeks to get appliances, communication was weak and we never spoke to our original sales person after the first day. Then after only 2 months of gentle use the dryer breaks down, (SMH) takes a week to get a repair man out - (Yes we bought and paid for the extended warranty ) - now waiting on ball bearing part over 2 weeks so far with no firm commitment of time or date for replacement part- and when you call in there is no empathy, no one cares, no one offers any assistance or helpful ideals. I am in the AC service business communication is key - and yes I understand our countries supply chain issues, but like myself - even though its equipment issue I manage the situation and ease the burden of my customers - I need to Hold Famous Tate responsible- to GE I am insignificant but I would expect more from the local dealer to care if I am going to return or refer more business. Basically I figured I would get better service from FT vs large Box Store like HD.....Repair called in August 3rd, Appointment August 10th, Was told 3-5 days for parts .....today is August 30th . Famous tate subbed the repair out to Mels Appliance Repairs.Update : Sept 8th - still waiting, no communication, have gone now to GE - next appointment 8/13 (after another no show today) - I would highly recommend staying away from GE appliances as well - oh and the email that FT asked me to send them was never answered...

I bought a LG refrigerator from this store last October. It was a good experience. However, the refrigerator started having issues lately. My food is getting stale quickly. LG was informed about this . They are avoiding to take any steps towards resolving the issues. The Famous Tate store is fine but LG support is the problem.

I purchased 4 appliances from Famous Tate for our new home. Three of the appliances were delivered and installed in quick order. The fourth appliance, my gas range, was seriously delayed. Despite the delays, our sales agent, Chris Clark kept us informed and updated on delivery. He was diligent and resourceful in finding my stove and after several months, it was delivered within hours of showing up in the Famous Tate warehouse. Cant ask for better pricing or service than Famous Tate and I highly recommend Chris Clark as your sales representative.

Our sales guy was very helpful in getting us additional information on the appliances we were looking for. Although they did not have what we wanted in stock, he gave us a few alternatives to consider and best purchasing days/times.

We’ve never purchased appliances from any other store, only Famous Tate. We moved into our brand new house in 2017 and bought refrigerator, washer, dryer and high end beverage refrigerator there. Four years later, our high end Samsung is broken a year after the extended warranty ended. Not FT’s fault obviously. I went in last week to purchase a new washer. I walked around for about 15 minutes before I was asked if someone was helping me. Not a big deal. I was told in order to get on a waiting list to purchase a washing machine I needed to put down a 25% deposit- just to be on the waitlist. The salesperson also told me during my visit they had no idea when the washer would be in stock. Today, when I fully planned to pull the trigger out of desperation, the salesperson told me they “needed the money to pay for the machine.” Seriously? So I have to shell out $400 for a washer they expected to bedelivered weeks ago but hasn’t arrived yet? Famous Tate can’t afford to buy stock now without my deposit? My history as a customer obviously means nothing. I’m planning to buy the washer I want online now. Crummy business practice. Cue the “I’m sorry we didn’t meet your expectations and COVID has made it hard..” response.

From beginning to end this was a great experience. Prices were in line with the other guys (insert holiday here) sales price. Delivery was available in 24 hours. Communication was great from beginning to end. The sales person was never pushy or annoying. Delivery guys were great and let us know exactly what was going to happen during the set up. These guys have earned a customer who wont even consider the big box stores anymore. The showroom is filled with a great spread and some retro pieces to eye the days of old. Icing on the cake: they gave our 2 year old a tater the turtle to play with as mom and dad made important choices. Good times!

15 yr old dishwasher (repaired several times) finally died. Talked to Greg at Famous Tate at 4pm. Half hour later he had a new dishwasher scheduled for next day delivery! Service people came next day and in 30 minutes had the old one out, and the new one in.

We went to famous Tate in brandon our refrigerator went out so we had to buy one as soon as possible we got there a few minutes after they closed so we told them we would be there the next morning at 11 when they reopened by the time we got back to the car they opened the door and called for us to come back and they let us come in and look Chris Clark helped us and we were able to buy a refrigerator so while I did the paper work my husband went home and got the trailer and the guys there helped him put it in trailer even thou they were not warehouse guys I am so gratefully for them and we were able to save all of our food. Thoroughly wonderful experience. My Viking microwave blew up and after going to many stores, I ended up at Famous Tate. The sales man was a very nice young man who was so accommodating. He did not have the type of microwave I was looking for, so we searched in his companies database to find just the perfect model and got me a little discount. I didnt realize but I had entered the store 10 minutes before closing and this nice young man never complained that I was keeping him late. Customer service is definitely their top value here. I will return for all of my appliance purchases.

We looked on line first to decide what we wanted. Then we went shopping. To our surprise no one had any inventory available. Being new to the area we went to 4 stores before going to Famous Tates. Not only were their prices better but they delivered our washer and dryer with in 48 hours. The 2 men that installed our equipment were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves. He told us there could be a waiting period because of Covid but all appliances arrived sooner than expected except for dishwasher. Although my refrigerator was on back order due to Covid. Vince my salesman has called me personal and kept me update regularly. When I went into the store I was looking to replace my date microwave it was busy so just was going to make my choice and leave. Vince answered my questions and made me feel good about my small purchase I later came back to buy the refrigerator because it was also a good time to update but he never pressured me or showed me stuff I dint need or want. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in October 2020. I had ordered a Samsung from another big retailer. I waited a month and no one could tell me when it would be delivered. So, I went on Famous Tate website and found a reasonably priced dishwasher. The next morning I got a call from Bob Hensley (sales mgr) he said he noticed I needed one asap. He was able to walk me through what they had over the phone. After work, I went to look at the Bosch black dishwasher. He was able to cancel the online order and have my new Bosch dishwasher delivered the next day. I love it, works great!

I recently bought a new range online. Vince helped me find what I needed and it was installed fast. With inventories and in stock items running low, Vince found me a range in stock in my price range and had it installed next day. The installation team practiced safety and were so fast. I have bought several things from Famous Tate. Prices are lower and customer service is great.

They are easy to work with. We have purchased a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. The dryer was on back order and they delivered the washer, the door on the front loader the hinge was on the left so the door was in the way. When they delivered the dryer we asked if they would switch the two the were willing to help and how the doors are not in the way we have ample room to switch the clothes. We will continue to purchase our appliances from Famous Tate.

Just moved to florida and i first bought a washer and dryer in the scratch n dent section and couldnt be happier. They came in and installed it.. I recently just bought a stove and microwave and they had someone come and install for me and everything went smooth. I cant complain at all about famous tates.

I would of loved to rate the higher. The only issue I had with famous Tate was communication. The staff was very helpful and we picked out washer and dryers within mins thanks to them. However with covid everything was delayed and we were perfectly fine with waiting. We were told 4-6 weeks. 6 weeks came and no one reached out to say that we wouldn’t be getting them like projected. We got pushed back to 8 weeks. Again no one reached out. I had to call multiple times for updates. And had I not called again 2 weeks later I wouldn’t of know that my washer was in but my dryer was not.

We recently purchased a washer and dryer at the Brandon store, and we had a WONDERFUL experience with Whitney Sands. She was patient, knowledgeable, and very personal!

We had it narrowed down to a Beautyrest Harmony $2199.00, Sterns and Foster Rockwell $2799.00 and a Beartyrest Beyond $3799.99. (at Mattress Firm) Our salesman, Santiago, was less experienced but another salesman with 17 years experience answered our questions and was very helpful. One of the incentives Famous Tate offered was a $100.00 Omaha Steak gift card. First they said it was a restaurant, then a steak store on Dale Mabry, then an online steak store. I wasnt crazy about the promotion, didnt know if I wanted it but its free. Santiago said today was the last day for the gift card promotion. Joe and I got a written estimate before purchasing. We left and went back to Mattress Firm to ask some questions and buy a Tencel mattress protector for $70.00 (Mattress Firm), $120.00 at Famous Tate. We decided to buy the Beautyrest Harmony $2199.00 and box springs at Famous Tate. Went back again. Santiago rang us up, took our information, and we left. We realized we didnt get the gift card. We went back again and I asked Santiago if I get two gift cards since he didnt give us one and we had to fight traffic and come back. He said you didnt want it, then he said it was a virtual gift card and wanted my email. I said thats not what we were told and suppose I dont have an email. We argued and I asked for a manager. My argument was that we were told we would get a gift card NOT a virtual gift card. The manager said most people are happy to get it. I just spent $2578.92 and your putting me down! Most companies would be HAPPY to get a $2578.92 purchase! Its a good thing Joe was waiting in the car. Then he told me it would take 4-5 weeks to get it. I said anyone making a purchase would expect to leave with a gift card not a virtual gift card. I said that I get many gift cards as gifts and Ive never got a virtual gift card. BE HONEST!! Also Santiago should have ASKED if we wanted it when ringing us up! Its called CUSTOMER SERVICE! It made me mad. I dont like to be mislead. I think Famous Tate can do a better job at being honest about a promotion. Tess5-5-21 Thank you famous tate management for the response, quickly emailing the gift card, and an apology from Santiago. I was mislead that I talked to a manager and found out from Santiago, when he called to apologize, that the person that said most people are just happy was not a manager. Hopefully in the future we will not have this misunderstanding. This was the first time we ever had an unpleasant experience. Thank you, Tess

Super fast and friendly service.

If I could give this store a negative 5 stars I would. I went in yesterday to purchase a refrigerator and washer and dryer. My wife and I were greeted at the front door by 2 women sitting at their desk with a casual hello. My wife and I proceeded to look at refrigerators and stood there for 15-20 minutes and nobody approached us. As soon as another couple walks in and started looking at refrigerators Vince Alonso runs over to help them. Next we stood there waiting patiently another couple walks through the door and a gentleman get up from his desk and runs over to them. I hope corporate sees this review so they can train their sales team with respect and dignity. I kind of felt like we were being discriminated against because my wife is Spanish and I’m Asian. Forgot to mention the two other couples that walked in were white. This was my first and last time to ever enter a Famous Tate.

We’ve shopped for our major appliances at Famous Tate for 27 years. We’ve always found knowledgeable sales reps, clearly noting the benefits of one product compared to another. In our last purchase experience in the Brandon store with Melissa about four months ago... our purchase was to be a top load washing machine. After spending some time noting our preferences, Melissa asked if she could share some of the benefits of a front load machine compared to the top load. After listening and asking a number of questions... we were delighted to see a couple of front load machines on sale. I forgot to bring our Consumer Reports book specializing in washing machines... thankfully, Melissa had a copy and after a brief time we made our decision for an LG front load machine with a pedestal drawer.Total cost was slightly less then we would have spent for a top load Speed Queen.So grateful for Melissa’s patience & expertise and Famous Tate’s continuing efforts to provide quality products at a great price. Delivery was also on time & efficient. Only problem noted after delivery... and after reading the Instruction Book for the machine... evidently there’s four packing bolts that come with the machine and are needed to stabilize the drum if the machine is moved. The delivery persons forgot to leave them with us. I’m sure if I called FT / Melissa they would have sent them to me. Because of many health issues with my hubby and myself since the purchase, unfortunately I hadn’t been able to get back to FT in a timely way and feel too much time has passed. Totally my issue.PS... so glad I got my LG FRONT LOAD washer!JUST LOVE IT!!!

I had purchased a gas dryer on the phone with John. My wife and I went to store and look at their inventory and that evening we decided to purchase one. We e-mailed John later then we should have. We wanted to make sure if I needed to be at store when they opened. He said no, we could do the purchase on phone. Made things very simple, he knowledge of the appliances was also immpressive. John made the transaction convenient and dryer was installed only 2 days later. Great customer service
