From Day 1, Max has been incredible with communication, keeping us up to date on our vehicle delivery. He did not pressure us, was easy going, yet extremely professional. A special thank you to all, from my initial call late yesterday.. as I’m traveling through, and need to get back to Denver for a wedding. My check engine light came on, brought my Q7 in this am.. Todd Hill (service advisor) made me feel like the only customer he had to deal with. He got me a loaner so we could still play tourist today.. and kept in constant contact as necessary.. being honest, we only needed minor issues taken care of now.. and the rest could wait until returning home, due to our time constraints.When the time comes for a new Audi, I can honestly say we may make another trip to Bozeman.. as the friendly professionalism I received from Todd gives me the sense this dealership really cares.. Todd was the best he helped my family. On our way to Yellowstone we got a brake warning. They got us in right away and didn’t nickel and dime us, but did make sure we were safe to get back on the road. Todd was very clear about what needed to be done every step of the way. This was by far THEE best car buying experience I’ve ever had!! I’m not one to leave reviews either good or bad. But I felt more people need to know where you can go and have truly a stress free, no fake salesman, no pressure, car buying experience.Max is the gentleman I worked with in sales. He was patient, kind, genuine, hospitable and truly there to help. He answered all my questions (and I had a lot of questions) with genuine assurance.I had found the car I was interested in online. When I called for info, Max set up a time to do a virtual tour with me as we live 5hours away. I never once felt pressured or rushed. Nor had I ever done a virtual car viewing either. Once I decided to move forward, he got all my paperwork set up and ready for us when we arrived. Had we not spent time chatting and laughing, I would have been done and driving away in no less then 20 min. That includes time with Tyler in the finance department! Who was also wonderful to work with!I’ve bought 5 cars from other dealerships previously. And spent countless hours at multiple other dealerships while car shopping. My father was a VW dealer/owner as well. Since 1948.Gallatin VW is entirely correct if they are implying that if they do not service my car a 2003 Eurovan Westphalia and a 2003 Eurovan GLS i should not review thier service department, because they do not service my two of my four VOLKSWAGENS any longer.I respect any independent franchised dealer’s right to decide which type of VW to service.Gladly VW of Bozeman WAS available to service and DID service my Eurovan in the past.It was an epiphany that my VW’s tried and true and common VW technology is beyond the reach of the service department for whatever reason.As a retired Dealer Principal in the Chrysler Jeep Ram field we simply adored it when an tried and true brand loyal person came in the door...i think we had different outlooks on quality of care then . Heck we would jump through hoops to support the customer/brand...it served us well. Yesterday a young woman slid off the road in the snow near our house. She had a VW Tiguan and I was trying to hook up my tow rope to see if I could pull her out. I wasnt sure where to hook onto her car. I called Volkswagen of Bozeman to see if they could tell me. A very sweet lady named Emma answered the call. I told her what info I was looking for and she ask for my phone number and said she would call back. A few minutes later Emma called back and then transferred me to a great guy in service. He walk me through exactly how to do it. I could tell they really wanted to answer my questions and he did. It was outstanding service!

I had my daughter take her 2016 Jetta in for a recall. We bought this car a little over a year ago from Volkswagen of Bozeman. They fixed the recall and told her she needed front brakes for $636.80 wiper blades for $85.88 spark plug replacement for $273.20 cabin filter replacement for $71.40 air filter for $81.25 and brake flush for $179.95. grand total of $1328.48 Maybe they didnt realize we are from Bozeman and thought they could take advantage of a college student. We took the car to our local mechanic and he said to replace the air filter and the cabin filter is a little dirty. Brakes look new within the last year or two lots of life left. We got yet another opinion regarding the list from VW and again-nothing needed except air filters. I didnt think dealerships did this anymore. VW of Bozeman, formally Gallatin Import Group- are classic service RIP--- OFF----ARTISTS---BEWARE!

I bought a used 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan from another dealership for my daughter. The car had some issues and the service team at Volkswagen of Bozeman went above and beyond to get the car running safely. They fixed the leaks, the water pump, and a recall item. We were under a time crunch because she had to drive to TN to start college but they made it happen. I am very grateful for their same concern of having a safe car for my daughter. We heard so many horror stories about car shopping in Bozeman and prepared for the worst. Luckily we have nothing but good things to say about our visit to Audi Bozeman and Andreas! He went above and beyond to help us get the truck we wanted, and stayed in touch throughout the process. (The truck we bought needed a repair before we took it home) Buying a car is always stressful but we at least walked away feeling like they actually cared!
I don’t honestly know where to start. My girlfriend and I have taken her car in to be fixed about 3-4 times and every time we get the car back it still has the same problems. We just got her car back from not having it for about a week and a half and it’s still doing what it was doing before. Not sure if there’s some miscommunication or anything but cmon, they’ll ask you if you want any tires but won’t fix what needs to be fixed.

I had warranty repair work for the second time —Same problem— I made an appointment and reserved a loaner. No loaner available. 4 other customers were waiting on the couch who also reserved loaners. Awful service.After the diagnostics were run for the second time for the same problem—car was not starting regularly—I was told the part that was needed was on back order up to 2-4 weeks with no ETA. I asked what am I suppose to do with a brand new car that won’t start. And I was told there is nothing to be done. I said I have kids with school activities and school and I cannot start my car. The service tech said he didn’t have an answer but if I “shake the shifter” that may help the brake to engage so the car might start. Therefore, for an indefinite amount of time, I have to “shake the shifter” and hope my car starts. At this time of review, I have still received no ETA on this shifting mechanism that is back ordered for god knows how long. It’s been a week.
I would absolutely buy another car from Andreas the Greek.Just bought a car for my son who has moved 900 miles from home to Bozeman.4 days later a warning light came on. Andreas said bring it in. Even though it was a small issue and was addressed easily,It is so very comforting that there are trust worthy people in the car industry!
Gallatin Volkswagen had a great sales representative assist us (Brook Coppock), and the finance manager was respectful of our time and not pushy. The whole team was very accommodating. We have a couple loud children and never felt like their presence in the dealership was resented by anyone, and Brook even had the detail shop clean out my truck for me when we test drove our Volkswagen Atlas.My wife and I were very happy with our experience. Terrible customer service. I brought in my Tiguan on 9/2 due to a check engine light and the car going into limp mode. Next couple of days I hear nothing from them so I decide to call, was told it’ll be looked at the following day. Still nothing. Then proceeded to receive texts every day saying “the tech wasn’t able to run enough tests we will hopefully have something figured out tomorrow” all they had to do was run a diagnostic test. I completely understand being backed up and am willing to be patient. Just inform me about the wait time instead of flat out lying, saying my vehicle had been looked at (when it obviously hadn’t been touched) and saying it’ll be done “the next day” for over a week .i decided I was over it and ended up towing it to a shop in Belgrade last night who called me this morning and had an answer. I needed was new spark plugs/coils and they will have it fixed by the end of the day. Glad I found another shop who is actually professional, and great at communicating. Not to mention I saved myself quite a bit of money.

I’m writing this on behalf of my friend who is currently dealing with VW in Bozeman. He is still in the process of dealing with them and would prefer not to have even more issues with them for writing a negative review. If you buy a brand new vehicle from here you will get discounted oil changes... 150 dollars.... you can get it for half that price pretty much anywhere else in Bozeman. If you buy the extended warranty for 4K extra they will try anything to make sure they get out of it and get your money instead. If you absolutely want to buy here expect to be on your own as soon as you leave the lot. I was planning on buying a new car from here because I like his so much but customer service is a big deal to me and from what I hear this place has none.

I bought a new GTI last June and within 2 months it started making a noise whenever I turn left at low speeds, hit a bump, and now sometimes while just idling. Ive brought the car in twice now and each time have been told theres nothing they can do for me and that it is a known issue, so glad VW is selling vehicles with known issues. This noise ruins the enjoyment of the car when going for a drive since all I can focus on is the squealing. Ive reached out to VW customer care and since the dealership here says theres nothing they can do customer care cant help me unless I want to drive 100s of miles out of my way to get a second opinion at another VW dealership, which if they just say the same thing Im sure Im still screwed. I bet if they were trying to sell this car the noise would be remedied asap. I didnt hear the noise in any of the other GTIs I test drove, used or new, so obviously the issue could be fixed. At this point I wish I would have just stuck with a Toyota/Lexus.I just want to add in response to the reply to my review that I have read the bulletin multiple times and it states that when the wheel is fully turned that the ribs of the outer cv boot may rub causing a noise. I have stated multiple times to Volkswagen that the noise can be heard at idle, when the wheel is only partially turned (< 10 degrees), and when hitting a bump in the road. Lately when idling the noise has been louder and more frequent as well. All of this seems to have been ignored. I guess we will wait and see if something is going to break eventually. I just have to hope it doesnt happen while driving and that it is before the warranty is up, not that the warranty has done much good so far.
My wife had a 4 year lease on a Jetta. Her lease was coming to an end, and all we needed to do is turn in the vehicle. They asked if we were going to enter a new lease or finance another vehicle. We politely declined.We arrived at 11:50am and we sat there until 12:58pm. The appointmentwas made for 12:00pm to return the vehicle. The individual atGallatin Volkswagen had suggested this specific time to turn the vehicle in.During the wait we watched the employees eat their lunch. A few in the back area were twirling around in their chairs giggling. We watched a few individuals leisurely pass by the waiting area. It seemed like they were wandering aimlessly passing the time. There was a family of four they were assisting with a purchase that left around 12:15pm. The only time we were acknowledged by the staff was when we first arrived and an hour, and eight minutes later. No Hello, Have you been helped yet?, or Ill be right with you.Perhaps lease returns are complex? Maybe Gallatin Volkswagen has only trained one individual on that specifically? That individual finally realized we existed. He apologized for the wait and the lease return took 5 minutes. It took 5 minutes because he had no answers for any of our questions, nor did he have any information on the final steps of returning the lease. In fact the weather wasnt very pleasant so he didnt even go out to look at our car.Why is it that they only have a single employee trained to deal with lease returns and the closure of sales?If this is not the case...why did this happen to us? An explanation would be nice.If there is no explanation, maybe Gallatin Volkswagen should train more than one of their employees on lease returns and sales.That way they wont have customers sitting in their waiting area, for over an hour, typing negative google reviews. :)
The service department printed off instructions for a dyi window repair. Very friendly, professional, and helpful. I hate working on imports and am a Chevy guy. This experience with the Volkswagen gave me a different opinion. Thank you!

Gallatin VW had a vehicle I was interested in and was available during a phone call. I made a deposit on the vehicle and made plans to travel from Anchorage, AK to Bozeman, MT to complete the sale. They picked me up at the hotel and took me to their business to complete the transaction. The car was exactly as promoted and I was able to drive away in less than an hour. The entire staff and especially Brook Coppock were professional, efficient and a pure pleasure to do business with. I have never had an easier time purchasing a vehicle and have no regrets.
Had a horrible experience at Ventura Volkswagen, continuing the tradition at this dealership. The service department said they are unable to help me with the warranty work I want to have done and referred me to Billings, Missoula or Spokane. Really steering me away from wanting to buy any more VW’s

I tend to avoid dealership service due to overinflated costs, but Gallatin VW has been very affordable with a very high quality of workmanship. I have been bringing my jetta here for minor, major and tire services for awhile now and plan to keep coming back.
When I experienced a t-bone crash in my 2009 Rabbit, I credit the VW car with saving my life (airbag and shoulder belt worked great). Naturally I wanted another VW. Because we had had successful service appointments with Gallatin VW, I called them and asked if I could get a car with good mileage, a bright color (!) and a manual transmission. Brook went to work and found me a 2017 Jetta, which was in Montana and had to be shipped to Bozeman. THEN because Brook wanted to save me money with the August incentive package, he arranged to BRING THE NEW CAR directly to me in Melrose, about 120 miles away. The day before, I went through all the requisite paperwork with Tyler, so when Brook had paperwork for me to sign, I had no surprises. Very impressed with the service and with Brook and Tyler. Thanks guys! I love my new, stick shift red Jetta!
Sadly, my experience with Gallatin Volkswagen was subpar. After waiting a few months for the car I ordered, it came without the driver assist package I ordered. The communication about the process of ordering a car was very confusing. After deciding not to get the Volkswagon because of the order mishap, I decided to get a Subaru. I bought it from Placer Subaru in Helena because they gave me ~$3,000 more for my trade-in. Would recommend shopping around at other Subaru/Volkswagon dealerships for a better customer experience and to save money.
