Theyve kept our Toyotas running strong with an 06 Highlander over 260k miles and our 98 4runner over 300k!!! They are so helpful with questions and letting us know the priorities when things are tight. They always make us feel welcome when we come in and I couldnt recommend them enough!!!

Boy, it sure is good to know that there are still honest mechanics out there. I went into Rising Sun with a list of concerns over my ten-year-old Tacoma, and was quickly put at ease when they inspected my truck, and were honest by pointing out that many of my concerns were not necessary. They only did what was needed, and never tried to up-sell me on things I didnt need. Plus, as a veteran, I appreciated their military discount. Couldnt be happier, and the truck runs like I just drove it off the lot.

I took my Toyota here to find out why a warning light kept coming on when I put my car in gear and to look at my TPMS light. I waited a week to get it in, just for them to charge me $112 to say they couldnt bring up the light or work on the TPMS. I got my keys and the light started again in their parking lot. I got the mechanic who worked on it to look at it. He couldnt figure it out and went inside to ask his boss, twice, what to do. They only came up with rescheduling and having them try to figure it out later. The Toyota Certified mechanic wouldnt even come out and look at it, after waiting a week and in light of their incompetency. Also, why didnt they say they didnt have the tools to work on a TPMS before I got charged? Unbelievable, I will never go back and will tell everyone how bad the service is.

Not usually a reviewer but had to plug these guys. Got my truck in same day and I had in back in just a couple business days even though it needed significant work and parts to order. When I picked it up they explained everything very clearly for a non-gearhead like me, and even had typed up a list of less-urgent work that needed done and included it in my receipt. Cant recommend enough!

Keith runs a great shop here. These are a group of folks who do their best to keep you in a reasonable price range and will work their hardest to keep you in your wheels and safe. Best shop in Bozeman.

Keith, Peter and the crew are like family. Straight talk and let you know what you can and cant wait on. Been going to them for over 15 years and have never once had a negative experience. Always take the time to explain things if you are wanting to know. Everything a repair shop should be and more.

These guys are great. Got turned on to them a few years back and go to them for pretty much anything other than an oil change. Whether its replacing a headlight bulb or a new timing belt, they do it faster and for less than others that Ive gone to.

David was so helpful! He read the codes on my car and worked to make sure that we could continue driving safely even though we werent able to be serviced here because we were just traveling through the town. Seems like a very honest auto repair shop.

I took my truck in to get the timing belt changed. It cost $400 less than an estimate from another shop so I am very happy. They were quick, friendly, and professional. I went to them after reading one of these reviews so I felt obligated to try and do the same for someone else!

Rising Sun Auto got me in without an appointment and finished my repair within the same day. They were happy to talk with me about my options and took the time to show and explain to me the issues that I had. They were tremendous to work with, I will certainly be going back to them!

I needed a timing belt replacement and made an appointment here due to all of the positive reviews. I normally hate taking my car to a shop, but I felt very comfortable and confident with these guys. They showed me exactly what they were doing, took me in the shop to look at the parts they were replacing and treated me with respect. Reasonable price and they got the job done a lot quicker than I expected.

These guys are amazing. When I look for a repair shop Im looking for mechanics that have the skill to properly diagnose and then fix any issue. They have this and more - what more do I mean? They have showed me that they are willing to be straight up honest and tell me when they dont think something is a priority and that I could save money by delaying optional work. They are pragmatic about the tradeoffs on used cars in terms of doing work that will actually provide long-term value to keep it running well. I trust them to do great work, but also to give me good direction.

I am getting ready for a road trip to Colorado. I recently bought a 2006 Subaru and I was looking for someone to give it a thorough once over to make sure it was ready for the road; Rising Sun Auto Repair did just that. They have a very friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Some places will quote you an amount and when you pick up your car it seems the bill is always a little more than quoted. I was quoted an amount and I was told if the car didnt need it it wouldnt be done. True to their word, my bill was half of that which I was quoted. Trustworthy and fair, Rising Sun Auto repair has always done a great job when Ive taken in my Toyotas for repair. I had a radiator that needed replaced and they allowed me to bring in my own parts, which is rare for a shop and much appreciated because it saved me several hundred dollars. Ill keep supporting this shop as long as they are around.

We have been using them since they opened, many years ago. They do high quality work, the prices are reasonable, and they are scrupulously honest. We have taken Honda, Toyota, and Acura vehicles there, ranging from a 1975 FJ40 Land Cruiser to a 2012 Acura MDX. The result has always been the same: a satisfied customer. And with Peter joining father Keith in the shop, it looks like Bozeman may be fortunate enough to have yet another generation of Rising Sun excellence.
