Toby is the most honest and kind mechanic I’ve dealt with after going to virtually every German auto repair shop in Boulder. He helped me identify and fix a problem that everyone else in town hosed me down for without fixing anything. I can’t thank him enough and I recommend this place to everyone who owns a German car in the Boulder area!

These folks are honest and true to their word. Takes a while to get an appointment but if you can wait, they are great.

Couldn’t be happier with these guys. I brought my car there for a second opinion before undergoing an extremely costly repair suggested by another local shop. They did a much more thorough diagnosis and fixed the issue for $2k less than I was quoted elsewhere. Honest, inexpensive, and knowledgeable.

I highly recommend German Auto. They took the time to explain every little detail when I had multiple questions. Super friendly and honest! My car has never ran better, They also checked my entire under-carry up on the rack just to assure all looked good without me even asking. Found my license plate was about to fall off. Fixed it and a few other things free of charge.Took my car there to fix my heater in the coldest days we were having. They had to flush my hoses and inserted new spark plugs, which had not been done in a very long time. Mark finished in such a timely matter, I was real impressed. Great repair shop. Took our older BMW X3 there for all repairs. Very honest and great service. Always used the right parts and fluids as these cars are very finicky. Car wasnt so great, but the service these guys provided made it worth it.

After discoverying German Auto by accident 4 years ago Ive had nothing but great service from these guys. I have a highly modified 1988 e30 and these guys have exclusively been taking care of it. Mark and Toby are some of the best mechanics Ive come across. They always have to great advice about how to best source parts, make it super convenient, and offer fair prices. Even when something is over their head theyre happy to recommend a specialist to tackle a certain system. Couldnt recommend more.

This is absolutely the best German repair shop in the city. They have always had my service done promptly. Had my car towed to their shop on a Sunday night and they already had parts delivered by the end of the day Monday and returned to me on Tuesday.

Good, honest mechanics. I took my car in because it wasnt able to pass inspection. After diagnostics they found it was tuned to stage 2 and would not pass unless it was retuned. Since they do not do that in the shop they recommended another garage nearby that could, and did not charge me anything for the diagnostic work. Thanks German Auto!

With very little auto knowledge on my own part & having a 40-60 minute commute six days of the week, I felt backed into the corner when a dealership said I would need close to $1300 worth of repairs done to my Toyota. I had Mark assess my car for a second opinion and although he confirmed that there were a few issues I should monitor and eventually address, it certainly was not as dire a situation needing an immediate fix as I had been made to believe. I will gladly have Mark monitor the situation and be bringing my car in to him in the future for any maintenance required.Also, no one should be concerned about the German Auto part of the name, Mark works on all import cars and Toyota and Subaru are a few of his favorites!

They blew out my transmission while test driving my car. Then charged me $700 for them to fix it. They were, however, unable to fix the problem I brought my car in for.They will rip you off if they get the chance.
