I was in a car crisis. I stopped at this shop while in Boulder. And while they do not work on Fiats, they stopped what they were doing to help me. The woman behind the counter tested my car, then got another man to drive it around to try to pinpoint what was wrong. I am not from Boulder and they could have just sent me on my way as Fiat is not their specialty but they helped me and recommended another shop. And that was a beautiful experience. I recommend this shop because I can tell they care and have good humanity. If they do this for me, I believe they will go out of their way for their customers.

Extremely honest people. Been going here for 10 years and my parents for 20.They constantly do free checkups and tell me not to worry when I was expecting to be charged. I feel they have never tried to upsell to me and told me exactly what my car needed and why. I have been told that I can wait on certain things and save my money. They will never do work that is not necessary and they will never overcharge you.This is the service shop from your dreams. Seriously they are incredible.

This is our preferred repair shop for our two aging Volvos. The expert repairs and service have been expeditious and much less expensive than dealerships in the area. They work on Toyotas as well. Highly recommended!

WARNING! They charged for a service not ordered / requested or even communicated to the customer. The service was ONE drop of oil. Not a joke. The price quote I asked for was much higher for made in China parts, compared to the authorized dealership at Subaru Flatirons. Go to the dealer and get an authorized service with original parts for LESS money. Just a greedy second rate garage IMHO.

I recently went to a different shop to have a front hitch receiver installed on my 2011 Toyota Tacoma. That other shop overcharged me for labor and tried to convince me I needed a bunch of other unnecessary work.Just 2 months before, I had extensive maintenance and a full inspection done on my vehicle, so I had a strong suspicion this other shop was lying to me.Fortunately, a friend referred me to Mr Chan and his shop. Thank goodness for honest and hard-working people like Mr. Chan. He not only made time to check my truck during his busy week, he didn’t even charge me for the evaluation. As expected, he confirmed that the lower ball joints are in good shape, and saved me $800 in unnecessary labor.If you want a mechanic who will respect you, your time and your money, go to Mr Chan.

Dropped off my car for an oil change. They replaced the oil with synthetic and up-charged $40 without verifying. Make sure you confirm all repairs and costs upfront.

It is hard to find an honest mechanic anymore. Debbie and her team still take an old fashioned approach. I have been using them for all my car repairs for 7 years and I’m so thankful they are close to my work.

I drive a 98 Volvo sedan. I used to take it to Swedish Motors and always felt like I was being overcharged. I started taking it to Chan because they were in the neighborhood. Now they are my regular mechanic. Love this place. Theyre really communicative about whats going on with your car. They do the repair right every time and will even do little maintenance things when they have everything taken apart. My sense is that they are just committed to doing the job well. And they give you the fair rate on things. I havent done a rigorous comparison on other garages, but I think they are on the lower end when it comes to cost.Full recommend.

Incredibly honest! They do good work at a fair price. They tell me if something is easy to fix and just tell me that I can do it at home (read: it’s not worth paying them to).

They are by far the friendliest and honest car mechanics ever. I take all of my cars there because they will tell me whats wrong with the car or not wrong with the car. I have been taking all my Toyota cars to Chans for about 10 years now. They have worked on my Tacoma truck as well as my Corolla. In my experience, they are honest, reliable and just good at what they do. I love how entrepreneurial they are. They are capable of thinking outside the box.

Ive taken a couple different vehicles to them over the 5 years Ive lived in the area and always had a good experience. Quality work for a fair price, and locally owned. My current vehicle failed emissions recently. I took it to a shop closer to my house who misdiagnosed the issue and it failed again. Took it to Chan and not only did they fix the problem they took it to get tested once they were done to make sure it passed. Picked my car up with a new e-test for the same price they quoted when I dropped it off.

I spent the better part of this winter dealing with serious car troubles. My car (a Suzuki) had an electrical problem and no one, including the dealer, could figure it out. Chans is easily one of the best auto shops in Colorado. Super honest and will never rip you off. I bring my Acura RSX in quite a bit and they always are extremely fast and helpful. Ive also gone to a Big O Tires near my house, they arnt bad but they charge way more than chans. Chans is always hundreds of dollars cheaper than any other auto shop. If you havent been to chans yet, give them a try. You wont want another mechanic ever again!
