Customers Beware! The new Barnsley Tire on Valmont is nothing like the old Barnsley Tire on Pearl St. I loved the personnel and service at the old shop. The new owners staff and new staff couldn’t be more different. I will spare you the details. After thirty years of tire purchases for me and my family and all of our vehicles, I will be looking for a new tire store going forward. Don’t be fooled by glowing recommendations. That was the old store and the old owners. I doubt any Barnsleys are left at the new place. Wherever the old owners are, I wish them well.

Best shop Ive ever been to. Professional, courteous, good-natured and smiling humans that go out of their way to get you back on the road. My ATV had a flat that I brought in, they patched it up right away and the next day my daily driver got a flat as well! Even though it was closing time I called them up and they said bring it in, we can fix it. They stayed 30 minutes late and gave me a really fair price for getting the job done on the spot. Chris especially is a champ at customer service, thanks Chris and everyone else on the Barnsley tire team.

Wow, my experience here was absolutely amazing. My friends recommended Barnsley Tire Co specifically because they have excellent customer service. I can’t express enough how true that is. The staff went above and beyond, especially Brian. I had a flat tire in the mountains. Brian walked me through how to change my tire. He went over how to use the different tools. We practiced loosening and tightening bolts. He showed me where to put the jack and how to use it. He worked with me through the whole process and helped me pick out new tires that were priced fairly. He was timely on ordering parts and flexible with making my appointment work for me. Brian even offered to help me recover my vehicle from the mountains on his own time. He and another mechanic (sorry I don’t remember your name but you still deserve credit!) saved the day. They changed my tire up in the mountains and I was able to drive back into town. The next day, the team worked quickly and my new tires and rim look great! I am very pleased and extremely thankful for the service here. I highly recommend Barnsley Tire Co. Ask for Brian. He will take care of you. I can’t thank him enough for taking care of me. I grew up in Boulder but no longer live there. I was visiting from out of town while I had this adventure. I am so grateful to have had this experience work out the way it did.

My late husband started going to Barnsley when they first opened. He was fire chief in Ward and he had Barnsley take care of all of the fire department truck needs. I still buy my tires from Barnsley and have been doing so ever since I met my husband in 2002. I would recommend Barnsley to anyone. They are always friendly, courtesy, and they provide excellent service.

Genuine and honest! The staff here spent hours trying to figure out why my TPMS light and low tire pressure light was not cooperating. After driving around town the issue was fixed! I got them a 12 pack of Coca-Cola for their determination!I was then driving back to Denver and now another light came on! Per their suggestion I have to have my car serviced that deals primarily with the type of vehicle I have.I still know for a fact that EVERYONE @ Barnsley Tires are good people! I did get an awesome set of tires from them! Thank you all! 🙂

Had a full set of tires put on earlier this year and today I needed last minute help with a flat on the other car in order to get to the airport in a hurry. Called Barnsley and they were willing to help me out even though it was almost closing time for the day. Really appreciate the good customer service by everyone we have worked with here!

Barnsley Tire is a great place! Once they repaired our tire at no cost when I walked in with two little kids in tow. Another time they sold us a used tire for $25 to tide us over until we were ready to buy new ones. They are friendly and helpful, and we are very happy repeat costumers!

I brought my truck in for an alignment after replacing the tie rod and drag link. I scheduled a time and took off work early and had to Uber there and back. I came to pick it up at the scheduled time and they asked if Chris had spoken to me I didnt receive a phone call while I was waiting. She then let me know they hadnt performed the alignment because my ball joints need replacing, and it wouldnt stay in alignment. It is understandable that they did this, but when I asked them to help me get it to align it as best they could another service writer started yelling across the shop over other customers to tell me how stupid I am. Although they begrudgingly said they would do it, I no longer felt welcome and decided to leave. When leaving he decided to get a last word in and tell me they dont need my business. I dont know if they do good work, but they are rude, condescending and do not care about my business.

Weve been using Barnsley for 8 years now. Our experience has been excellent. Fair prices, excellent service and locally owned round out the top reasons to work with Barnsley. Free tire rotation and puncture repair on tires bought from them. Cant beat it! New location has a really big and bright waiting area as well.

Absolutely fantastic family owned business. They dont make them like this anymore. I took my car in to a mechanic the day after getting tires mounted and balanced at Barnsley. The car needed 5k worth of work and I ended up selling it for parts. Barnsley talked w the tire manufacturer and was able to get a credit allowing me to return them and recoup my purchase. Barnsley did not in any way have to do that. They made a bad day a lot better. 5 stars plus!

Barnsley Tire used to be a great family owned business. Management has recently changed, and the new management does not understand the meaning of an appointment. I even called after an hour, and they said in 45 minutes. When we got there they had not moved the car, and they said Fridays they are busy! They need to learn a thing or two from the old management.

I feel terrible as my post is about one month late. But my daughter goes to college at CU Boulder and we discovered she desperately needed snow tires for her Volvo. I called Barnsley on a recommendation from Swedish motors in Boulder. And I was fortunate enough to get Angela on the phone. She was absolutely fantastic! I was incredibly impressed with her knowledge and assistance with the various tires that would work on my daughters car. She was incredibly friendly on the phone and my daughter had a highly positive experience. I would highly recommend and trust their judgment and if you have the opportunity to work with Angela, you will not be disappointed!

Super quick and professional service. I had my original appointment scheduled for a week out and my tires ended up going bald and becoming dangerous earlier this week. I called and they said to come in at an earlier time to get this taken care of. I was in and out in about 45 minutes and the price was less than initially quoted. Great price. Great selection. The service I received at Barnsley was great! I went with the tires they suggested, and have 0 regrets. They are performing great in the snow, my crossover stops more quickly, and responds better. My old tires werent even in the worst condition, but these new ones make such a big difference. They got me in right on time for my appointment, and had everything done in just under an hour. After spending several hours shopping on TireRack, researching online, and talking to other car friends about the best options for snow tires for my Subaru I had a couple different options. I needed help deciding on putting them on the OEM rims which are pretty wide and big or if I should buy new smaller narrower rims for the winter. A friend mentioned Barnsley and I decided to drive the 45 minutes into Boulder to get some expert advice from one of the older locally owned businesses still left.Im hoping its just because of the Coronavirus (I had a mask and kept my distance though!!!) I literally said I need some expert advice and the guy behind the counter said Have you been on TireRack.com? I told him I had but I still had some questions and he told me to use the chat window on TireRack.com to get my answers. He told me they would answer all my questions and even ship the tires to Barnsley so they could mount them for me! Unfortunately thats the only part of this I didnt need help on, but he didnt even want to hear my question. I am going to pick up my new wheels today from the TireRack distribution center. Disappointed I couldnt get expert advice from a person but I saved 80$ and now I have an excuse to buy a torque wrench for the tool box.

Update: removing one star because the tires they took off the car were almost entirely bare and they failed to mention this to me. The tread wasnt just down to the bar, it was completely missing in places. They didnt inform me that the tires would be unusable.Original: Two hours for a pre-scheduled tire change seems a bit long. Two employees sitting at their desks in the waiting room (not directly interacting with customers) were not wearing masks for the two hours that I waited. The tires were installed properly and pricing was in line with other locations.

So sad! Barnsley used to be known as a good place for tires but the business has gone way downhill. Sad to see them riding on their formerly good reputation. The owner and staff are clearly burned out and can be extremely rude to customrs. Lots of good tire stores in Boulder. Dont waste your time with this one.

Barnsley is a great resource, I highly recommend them to everyone who lives near the shop in Boulder. They have taken care of my family vehicles and 6 trucks for my business for years. You get experienced techs, not a teenager who just got into the business a week ago like you could at the big chain shops. They do book out during the usual Colorado busy seasons (right after the first big snow storm in the Fall, and in the Late Spring after the last of the snow. Just get on their list, and keep your $ local. If you need it done today or youre on a road trip go to the big box store, but otherwise use Barnsley. They are AWESOME and will take care of you like family.

When visiting Boulder from out of state, we got a tire pressure warning light at 4:25 PM. We stopped in at Barnsley and they fixed it immediately. The price was great, their attitude was super friendly and helpful. Couldnt have been better. Thank you Barnsley tire!

Came to get a tire changed, told it would be a 45 min wait by two employees, knowing the time would past their closing hours. First employee I spoke to around back checked to see that they had the tire I needed and said they did. He told me go around to the front to speak to someone at the front desk. I talked to the second employee at the front desk and told me about the wait. I told them I didnt want to do that to them, if I can set up a time for a different day. I told the employee to give me a moment to decide on waiting or setting up a date. He said no worries, and dont worry about us staying after close, its their job if a customer came in during business hours, that they get helped. He went to speak with someone else and I went inside to let them know I decided to wait. A person came to the desk (owner) and asked if I need help, I said yes Im waiting to get my tire changed. He stated with a dumbfounded look on his face that no I wasnt. I said yes, Im getting my tire changed and he asked here as if I didnt state to him what I said about waiting. He said I wasnt getting my tired changed there and that he doesnt know who I spoke to and got that information from. Keep in mind they have two customers in there waiting too. I pointed out the employee and he went outside to speak with him. While in the middle of the employee helping someone, the owner belittled him for telling me that I can wait past close to get my tire changed. At this point, I was already upset at how I was spoken to by the owner, they obviously didnt want to do the work. As I was leaving, it just so happens that they didnt have the tire for my car, not knowing I spoke to the first employee who already verified that they did. I dont recommend this place, especially if they are going to treat customers as if they are uneducated. Ive been to places with lower ratings that have treated me better, that have put me through the same situation.

Well I don’t go there very often because the tires they sell me the last long time. I’ve been going there for years and I will continue to return until I have railroad wheels.

I cant recommend Barnsley Tire Co enough. Today, I went to Firestone for a flat tire, they told me my tire was sliced and that I needed to replace all 4 of my ~1 year old tires. I headed to Barnsley for a second opinion. Im so happy I did because they quickly found a screw in my tire, repaired it, and rotated my tires all while I waited (about an hour). Amazing customer service, Ill be back for all my tire needs.

First of all .. if you spend any time in the mountains, definitely make the investment and buy yourself some snow tires. Where? Barnsley tires! Switch out to summer or all season tires, winter driving is a breeze in snow tires and at this Mom and Pop shop they take good care of you and great care of you are a regular.Its good to support local shops. Go do it!

DO NOT ACCIDENTALLY PARK HERE. I was trying find a store my friend recommended and we are not from the area. The owner or whom a ever came out and demanded we move and I apologized and said we’d park elsewhere. Not being local and driving all over the place just trying to find this store. Owner came out and followed me until i walked towards my car and got extremely rude. Instead of being rude why don’t you nicely ask someone to move their car or ask if they need help. Made my experience downtown Boulder extremely uncomfortable and being a woman by herself I did not appreciate an angry man following me after I repeatedly apologized and said I would move after stating we are not from here. He claimed there was signage. WE DID NOT SEE. Again- we are not from here so we were simply just trying to find a spot to park for a couple of minutes until I was able to find the street I was looking for. I am sure it stems from people parking and going to a dispensary and if that’s the case the maybe go have your car shop elsewhere.

Came here for a winter tire change. The people are friendly and the price was good. I left my car there and walked to work nearby and they were done fairly quickly, but I was also one of the first people there in the morning. Definitely recommended.

Friendly family owned business. Ran over a rogue nail and had a flat. We were able to pop on a spare and head right on over to Barnsley for a quick fix. We were back on the road in 15 minutes. Highly recommended. Women at the front were super easygoing and made the wait feel like nothing.

Found out later that the tire I purchased from Barnsley was 25% more expensive than if I had gone to the Subaru dealer. ($50 over priced for 1 tire). When I talked to the owner he was extremely rude and condescending. His excuse was that 99 times out of 100 his prices are better than the dealer. I guess I was the unlucky 1. He just lost my business.

Great service really friendly and helpful staff. My car had a really bad wobble and they balanced and rotated my tires. Now it runs great.

Came in for a routine tire rotation and balance. They did a great job, but I noticed a scraping sound later that day. I brought the truck back in for them to look at and they fixed a separate issue that was not their fault free of charge. They let me watch them work on the car too, which I always appreciate. Bottom Line: Quick and good customer service.

I am completely satisfied: my steering wheel was vibrating at high speeds, I called an got an appointment for the next day. I dropped my car to a very nice person at the front desk, left my number and they called 45 minutes later to tell me the issue was fixed. When I went to pick it up, was told by the owner that the tire wasnt worth fixing but he gave me a used one for free instead even though I offered to pay. The best. After 3 trips to Sears trying to get a set of tires installed correctly, I decided to try Barnsley. They got it right the first time and in a timely manner. Excellent organization. Service was great!! Both the women I worked with were very helpful and kind. I don’t know much about cars, and was informed of the most suitable tires for my car. I didn’t feel swindled into buying something expensive, like at other places I’ve been. I also lost track of time at the end of the day, and one woman was kind enough to let me call in with my credit card info and put my keys in the car for me, minutes before closing time. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service at an affordable price!

Professional tire purchase and care. They stand by the products they sell and care about their customers. We have purchased winter and summer tires and from Barnsley and they make the swap, spin balance and mount the tires.

I will never do business with any other shop. These guys and gals are genuine, honest, and caring people. Our favorite tire place - weve been going there for years. Its family run and feels good to support. They generally give good advice on which tires to buy, and weve never had any issues with the service (though sometimes during peak season, getting in touch with them to schedule an appointment can be challenging).

I was next door at Hoshis getting my oil changed and asked for a recommendation to have the screw removed from my tire. They sent me to Barnsley, who got me in right after my oil change and they were done repairing my tire in about 45 minutes. Then, they didnt charge me!! I will definitely be taking my car back to them for tires next time I need them. Great customer service.

My favorite tire shop! I buy all my tires here and get no charge rotations and more. I think a few places do that but Barnsley does it very quickly with a smile. The very hard working tire wranglers have never made a mistake for me. Ive had great success making an appointment and dropping in. When theyre too busy they try to accommodate when they can! I love this tire shop! If you have purchased tires here in the past (even on a different car, years ago) they dont charge anything to fix a flat. Very kind people work here. And, they are fast. This is the best place to go for tires in Boulder.

Found a screw in my girlfriends car tire before she had work. We dropped the car off without an appointment and they had us worked in and patched within 45 minutes. They took care of the car wheels and we were amazed how reasonably priced their services are.I would recommend Barnsley Tire over any tire shop in Boulder!

I recently went to have a flat tire fixed. I picked this place for 2 reasons: it is locally owned AND had by far the best reviews out of any tire shop in Boulder county. I was not disappointed! They fixed my tire quickly for a very reasonable price and even walked out with me to assess my treads when I asked for some advice. When I go to buy new tires in the next few months, I am definitely going there.

I can not say enough good things about Barnsley Tires! They were super nice and speedy. They checked out my flat tire and did everything they could to put another full sized tire on so I wouldnt have to keep driving on my spare at no charge. I will absolutely keep coming back!

I have had auto dealerships tell me a tire was unrepairable (with less than 1000 miles on the tire) and brought the car to Barnsley to discover that it had a nail through the tread area and it was safely repaired. I cant say enough good things about these people.

The staff is professionally efficient and gracious with a selection always at the ready, as they visit the warehouse 3 times a day. I recently purchased new tires from Barnsley. They arrived in the shop the same day I called to order. If you order tires in the morning they are usually in the shop within the day. It took roughly an hour for the mechanics to put the tires on. Fair prices and great customer service. I highly recommend!

I have this shop change the wheel and tire package for me, and the service was well done. But unfortunately my car was hit by someone and then they just left after the service was done, and the Staff werent able to track it. At the end, Sam send me to the body shop and have everything taken care of without charging me any money. Really good and honest shop, will absolutely recommended them!

I needed to get my wheels looked at on the weekend and I arrived within an hour of closing with no appointment. They measured my wheels and moved my slightly bent rims to the back of the car. This shop did this for me free of charge and did not try to push any new wheels on me that I did not need, And the did all of this within 20 minutes. Highly recommend checking this place out

Ended up getting most work done elsewhere becaude it was cheaper (97 Ford Crown Vic, a sky-jacketed pugilistic relic of an only slightly less fascist time, except its not actually an old cop car, only evokes the spirit of em) but the diagnostic was fast and free. Would definitely call around for other price points for major work, but I liked the look of the deals and monthly/annual packages they offered for routine maintennance work.

First time to Barnsley Tire place - just AWESOME people and customer service!! They quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed my tire problem (and unlike another place I had been before did not say that that i needed 4 new tires because of flat on one). Was in and out in an hour. Unreliable customer service. My partner took in a flat for repair and have amazing customer service and highly recommends their work. I took in my flat and was refused to even make an appointment to fix it even a week out, no recommendation of when is a decent time to drop off my car other than in January when less busy. They seemed annoyed that I even showed up to request service. Don’t stop in with a flat if they appear to have customers.

A family type business that focuses on service and goodwill. On short notice I asked them to check a nail in my tire and they did that in 45 minutes on a Saturday.Nail did not puncture the tire, and they checked all the other tires as well.No charge, even though I was from out of town.
