Great location on the square and excellent selection of books. They have the best selection of journals and greeting cards that Ive ever seen in a bookstore. With Amazon putting lots of places out of business, we make a point to support local stores, and the Book Corner makes it easy. If they dont have a book in stock, they order it for you and call when its ready to be picked up.

Great independent bookstore. Lots of fresh titles and always willing to order books that are not on the shelf. Its like walking back in time to be able to browse hardcopy books after spending so much time reading digital copy. I really just love to go in and be a part of the tangible part of books. Highly recommended!

The Booker Corner is my favorite place to get any type of literature! They have a wide variety unlike any other competitor in town. There is also much more than books, including cards, puzzles, sticker books, and much much more. If you are wanting to support a small business this is the place to go.

I love shopping here. But today was an example of their wonderful customer service- I am looking to get my Grandmothers cookbook rebound and they popped up as a vendor that would do it. I called and they dont but, referred me to another local shop that hopefully can do it or have contacts to can help me. Another example of B-ton at its best!😁

We had a very unpleasant experience in this bookstore. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to see much of the store, as the lady working here (a woman with dark hair) said something rude to us within less than five minutes of walking in the store; we, of course, left immediately after this. We are all, currently, dealing with a lot of stress related to the coronavirus-- so I understand that folks may have a short fuse. We tried to do the right thing, donning our masks before entering the store. However, my husband inadvertently walked in to a section in the back of the store that was somewhat restricted. It seems that the owners only want a handful of people in this section, in order to maintain social distancing. All quite understandable and, in the stores defense, they did have a sign posted before walking in to this back section. My husband did not see this sign and started to walk right in (without getting a green light to enter this section, I suppose). The lady behind the counter turned to him and said: Did you just walk by that sign without reading it? I was, frankly, stunned by this tone from the employee. This is probably the single rudest thing Ive heard from a store employee, anywhere, in at least a few years. It would have been better to say something like: Sir, Im sorry but we have to limit the number of people in this area. Would you please mind waiting a moment? To call attention to the fact that he missed this sign seems cruel, with the intention solely to embarrass us and get us to leave; on both counts, it succeeded. Id just like for this employee (or owner?) to remember that how you say something is just as important as what you say; that being kind is sometimes better than being right; and that folks who are otherwise trying to do the right thing (i.e.: us with our masks) will, occasionally, still make mistakes. Id recommend saving the ire for the truly rude customers who demand to enter without a mask and argue about it, etc. I really wanted to be able to support this local store, today... unfortunately I was not able to give them my business, and cannot recommend them to others.

Shopping for my grandsons first birthday. This store has a fantastic selection of childrens books, as good or better than any big box or chain store I have ever seen. Quality offerings. And the man running the shop was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and very polite. Cant say enough about this new find, although its been here in this same location for over 50 years. Hope others new to Bloomington discover it as well.

I come to the Book Corner fairly regularly, but this place is NOT kid-friendly, despite having a decent selection of children’s literature and toys. Each time I’ve brought my daughter with me, the staff have made me feel like we weren’t welcomed, even going so far as to tell me to handle my daughter differently when she hadn’t been doing anything wrong at all.I am a huge supporter of shopping local, but this kind of response from the staff here just makes me miss Barnes and Noble all the more. 😞

The Corner Book store has a wonderful selection and are more then willing to order books not in stock. They are very kid friendly! This is my 7 year olds favorite store in town!

Charming independent bookstore with friendly staff and a great selection of new books, magazines, and fancy greeting cards. Especially strong in crafts, childrens, pop-up books, and art & photography. I love the section dedicated to Penguin paperback classics! The only downside is that the historic location is not wheelchair accessible.

Been going here for about 40 years. Little has changed in that time. Used to have newspaper out on front step just walk in to pay for it. Not anymore due to people not honest enough. I did notice magazine selection a little more limited. Still like this place.

Great little gem of a bookstore! Topics are very well organized with a wide selection in a small space. Prices are a bit on the high side but its worth a higher price to be able to view the book before purchasing.
