They are a rip off when selling books. The building maybe cute and aesthetics inviting, but they dont buy with integrity. Youre better off giving books away.

They are friendly and okay selection but prices are a little high especially considering they seem to be the same price for a book at Barnes and noble. But if you want to support a smaller business or sell books I would go to bobzbay. Over all decent experience.

Bobzbay is a GEM in our community. Nestled in downtown Bloomington, they have so many options for adults and children alike. We are lucky to have a locally owned book store!

Bobzbay has a great selection of books and other media, the stores atmosphere is delightful, and the staff are kind and helpful. If they dont have a book youre looking for, they will order it for you! If they cant order it for you, they show you how you can get it from bookshop.org - which supports independent bookstores like Bobzbay.During the pandemic theyve done an excellent job at keeping themselves and shoppers safe, offering ways to browse selections online, make private appointments to shop in-store safely, and they delivered multiple orders to my house, which was amazing service I did not expect, but greatly appreciated.

Bobzbay is great for used or new books. If they don’t have the one you’re looking for in stock, they’ll order it and contact you when it’s in. All around great women-owned, locally-owned bookstore.

Bobzbay is the greatest independent bookstore that BloNo could hope for. Between always having great used books/games/music/movies, etc. and the fact that they’re now carrying popular new titles and will even special order books you’re looking for, it’s hard to find a reason not to love them. They’ve also made every accommodation you can think of to work with your needs and wants during the Covid-19 crisis. They have adapted and offer pick-up, curbside pick-up, and even shipping if you’re not able to safely leave your home. Always and forever 5 stars.

Ive always enjoyed shopping here. They have a diverse selection of anything a bibliophile could desire. Staff is always very kind and helpful. I shop here as much as I can.

Charming small business, supportive of local artists, and has such character! Truly a hidden gem (I am continually astounded by how many friends have not been here!). If you love books, movies, or vintage games, you definitely need to check this place out.

So many good books!

They dont offer very good prices for what one brings in. Its just like they are trying to get the stuff for as cheap as possible. I get that thats the first rule of business to buy cheap and sell high. But they are over doing it.

It was great! We found a GameCube not expecting to find it there. She was very reasonable on the price it came with the controller and the connectors. I want to go back so I can look again.

Bobzbay has been my go-to for used books for years now! Well organized, clean, and friendly.They also have an awesome an eclectic selection of video games, DVDs (including an anime section), and other awesome retro stuff.

Decent place

I bought a valuable book online from Bobzbay last week. Im not sure if it was due to the value of it or what but, Liz, (assuming she works there) reached out to me personally and let me know they upgraded my order from standard shipping and provided a tracking number. My book showed up in 3 business days - many days before I originally expected it. I dont live in Bloomington but if I did I would shop here a lot!

I bought an art book from Bobzbay via Barnes and Nobles website.. I usually dont write reviews about transactions like this, but Bobzbay really stands out. The book arrived quickly, so they must have processed the order the same day I placed it. Most impressively, they re-sized a box so that it would fit the book perfectly. It was well protected and arrived in perfect condition (thats not always the way it goes with used book sellers). They rated the books condition as very good but it qualified for like new. Finally, a nice touch – they wrapped the book in brown paper before putting it in the box, which is perhaps not important, but it sent message that we care greatly about our products and getting them to you in the best possible condition. I was impressed!

Stopped in Bobzbay late June 2019. Very nice bookstore. I found books I actually wanted: Erasmus, Shakespeare (The Tempest; actually was looking for a good paperback copy and they had one), H.G. Wells. Good selection for its size. Also, the last real bookstore left in the Bloomington-Normal area! I highly recommend it.Pat F.

I enjoy this shop a lot. They always have interesting things--both in terms of used books and geeky memorabilia to look at. Prices are reasonable and service has always been pretty fast.NB: They have several boxes of books sorted by color that arent very valuable or interesting, but which would be great for decor purposes.

Great local shop. Good selection of used books, music, and video games. Its also a good place to sell the aforementioned things. Theyll give you a fair price for the convenience of unloading unwanted things and have been willing to haggle a tiny bit on price or trade-in value. Adds a lot of flavor to the Bloomington Downtown area, so I wanted to give Bobzbay a shout-out.

This place has most movies you wouldnt normally find in big boxed stores. Lps, books, old vintage games, atari, nes, playstation, action figures, and the staff are always nice and helpful.

Who doesnt love a good book. These are used and good prices. You may even see them as a shipper on Amazon.

A fun place to look around and buy pre-owned books, records, toys, and jewelry. They take trades too. The staff is always polite.

Youre gambling when you take your items in. Its nothing like a pawn shop where they price match regardless of profit. At bobzbay they value a box for the game 100% more than the game itself. Dont take your stuff here, unless its a book, even then you may as well try eBay. This is a rip off.

The person behind the counter was very friendly and courteous, store is clean and has a nice atmosphere for the college students that visit. Books seem to cater to student courses. Lots of video games especially older ones like Atari, Xbox 360, etc...
