This store was sold a little over a year ago and the new owners kept the name, but their employees dont even know what they have in stock or about the products. The prices are higher and I went back last week and the clerk nor the other staff had answers to our questions... they were polite, but uninformed.I had originally given this establishment at 2 star rating but after there comments I decided to remove one of the Stars due to the fact that them saying that I was giving untrue information when I know that Im telling my truth and I was in the store with someone else who realizes what I said was true. The clerk did not know what a lace front was the person that came to the store with wanted to buy a non lace front wig the clerk didnt even know what that was we had to show her what a lace front was she asked another staff member and their native language and the other staff member had no clue either. Any question that was asked was answered with the I dont know. Inform your staffers of the contents of your establishment. That is just a little example there are other question should I go back in my memory bank and think of more questions to put on this review? Or should I mention the clerks nonchalant attitude towards everything that we had to ask her? Please forgive me I didnt mean to say anything to offend you and I definitely didnt mean to hurt your business however this is your business and I was just reporting the behavior observed. Also when was the store purchase by the other owner and did you ever disclose to the patron that it was a new ownership Under New Management same name or did you not mention that and just lead us to assume that it was under the same ownership so which part of those statements did I say that were untrue? I just want to know better yet just leave it alone and have a nice day.

1st time here...great experience...they have just as much hair supplies as 7 mile discount...Go check it out...5stars

I’m leaving one star only because they have a good selection of products. But THEY FOLLOW YOU AROUND EVERY SINGLE ISLE AND NOT ONCE DID THEY ASK ME IF I NEEDED HELP. If I didn’t live far south, I never would’ve spent my money at this place. Simple, cute store. Nothing that attracts the eye when you walk in there and simple selection of wigs as well. Employee was courteous. I go for basic hair needs and always find what I’m looking for.

This is my favorite beauty supply store...and Ive been to a lot of stores in a lot of states! Best of all ITS BLACK OWNED and I dont have to go into the city to get there! The store is so clean; brightly lit so you can see the merchandise and very well stocked! The new owners have added a lot of great new products and are very welling to order items if you dont see what you want. I havent had a service done yet; but after the quarantine is lifted, I plan to. Love this shop; lets keep it open!

Some of their prices is ridiculously high i would go to Brooklyn Center to buy my products or 7miles back on Lake Street where Variety use to be. Only if i have no other choice i would shop there.

I like the products they have here but ooooooo child y’all need to work on your customer service!!!! Honestly I sent a friend here and won’t be doing that again! There is no need to follow each customer around the store like they are going to steal! Not everyone that walks through your doors are going to steal from you! Personally I ignored her and took my time and when I was ready I called her up front to check me out! My friend wasn’t too fond of being followed around either on a separate day. Y’all need to work on that! Maybe have two people working! One stays at the front of the store and the other is in the back braiding hair. That’s fine! Even if the other person goes in the back to help braid hair, once you hear that door open go stand to the cash register and wait there! Don’t follow your customers around like a puppy dog! Let’s be real! I started coming here because of another lady that use to work there and I haven’t seen her in awhile but I liked her and wanted to give her business. This new girl needs to be trained on how to properly work with customers. Your relationship doesn’t end once the customer pays. 🥴 I hope y’all take some action towards fixing this.

First time I visited the store, you were able to try the wigs on before purchasing of which I purchased several. Now, you arent allowed to, because customers abused it. I am not about to purchase something without seeing what it looks like on and that I cant return. They have definitely lost a lot of my business.

Service was very professional and top notch, the owner took very good care of my sister and I during my entire hair braiding experience. I requested for my braids to be extra full, and the owner made sure that I was accommodated as needed. My braids were clean and beautifully done! I will definitely be returning!
