I went up there to see if they could help get my tire off because my lug nut was striped and I have after market tires. Not only did they get it off, but they got it off without damaging the key or the rims which I didnt think they could do. They also put my spare tire on for me and guess what? They did it all for free. Im most definitely coming back here for maintenance I cant fix myself. They are worth every penny you spend.

The customer service was atrocious. My scheduled appointment couldn’t be found, so I missed time from work for no reason and I had to come back the next day. They didn’t call me back at the scheduled time. They interrupted me when I spoke. They didn’t perform all the services requested. They didn’t add the discount I should receive until I reminded them. The courtesy shuttle was terrible. I was treated like I was an inconvenience with little to no apology for their mix-ups. I understand things can happen. And if anyone had been halfway apologetic and attempted to make it right, I actually would have been very understanding. I was very polite through the whole thing and but I will never return and I wouldn’t suggest them to anyone ever again. It’s not even remotely the same level of service it used to be.

I brought my SUV in to have a new wiring harness installed and a connector on my trailer, both which got recently damaged. I was amazed at the level of customer service that I received and at a very reasonable price. There was still an issue with not having running lights on my trailer after the installation of the harness and connector. Chris immediately thought there might be a blown fuse. Popping the hood of my Explorer and removing the fuse box cover revealed a blown 20 amp mini fuse. They had one in stock and there were lights!! I can now head out camping in 3 days with functioning trailer lights!

Today my girlfriend left for work to find out she had a flat tire. I left work early so I could get the tire fixed. Took the tire into Davis tire and auto and was in and out in 10 minutes. All the while with them being short handed. Very happy with their services. Professional and always a pleasure to know that when I take something to them, that they will take care of me.

My SUV was not starting and I was told by AAA service provider that it has starter problem. I got it towed to this location. He diagnosed the issue and he fixed it. Since he did not have to use any of the parts and not much labor was used he did not charge any amount. Since it was a unique problem which most people may not have diagnosed and if it was fixed they would tell me something and may charge high amount but this manager was honest and professional so he did not charge me anything and fixed my problem. Thank you so much Chris.

Chris the store manager went out of his way to help me. Something off the bottom of my car had snapped and broke. I live three hours from here and I came in to ask if he could help me. Without hesitation he took my car and within minutes had it fixed so I could get home. Outstanding customer service!

I thought i could trust this place but turns out i can’t and i will never come back here for business. i don’t know if they treat all women like this but they tried telling me i needed a whole new exhaust pipe because it was “broken” and also a whole bunch of other stuff that equaled out to be over a thousand dollars. i stressed so much over this and went to another place in town and the guy fixed my car right in front of me real quick. it was just a gasket piece that needed replaced because it had rusted, and he only charged me $45. CarX on Eastland is a joke, and they just want your money. of course they took advantage of the fact that i’m a young woman who doesn’t know a whole lot about cars. i definitely do not recommend this place

Got a nail in my tire and these guys patched it up. Very quick service, friendly people inside, and nobody trying to upsell to a new set of tires, unlike other tire shops Ive been to. Definitely will be coming back here when it comes time for a new set of tires!

To say that this was an excellent an experience is the just scratching the surface with these guys. My family and I have used Davis Tire often for all things related to our cars, and when I went in to get my tire patched after finding a nail and screw embedded, they were beyond pleasant, efficient and extremely considerate of my time. I will definitely be continuing to work with the guys here! They can turn any headache into a pleasant task well done!

Brought my car in as it was running poorly and the check engine light was on. They first diagnosed it as a gas tank sensor and replaced it. They cleared the code. The next day, no difference. It started and ran poorly and the check engine light came back on. I brought it back to the shop. This time they told me it needs a new O2 sensor and they replaced that. They cleared the code. The next day, engine light came back on and it was running rough again. They dont know what theyre doing in this cost me a lot of time and money. Also, there are greasy hand prints all over my car and on my gray headliner. Its disgusting. Do not go here unless maybe you need tires. Apparently they can handle that, but have no real technicians on hand to properly diagnose the problem. I went to another shop, whose technicians found and properly diagnosed the situation in no time at all. Now my car runs great. No thanks to Car-X.

The guys here at carx were super helpful at assisting me! They were able to get me in for a minor repair the same day I called, while other places in town were scheduling a week out. The gentleman who helped me kindly fixed this minor issue and sent me out the door without charging me for the repair. As someone who doesn’t know anything about cars, I could easily have been charged a lot for this repair without even knowing the pennies it cost to fix it. To be able to trust your car repairman is a big deal these days, and I’m thankful for the fairness and graciousness the guys here at CarX in Bloomington demonstrated to me today.

Started my truck at 9 am on Monday morning and it was incredibly loud. I called car x because it was closest to my house and they said they would fit me in. By 1030 they had already called to tell me that someone cut out my catalytic converter. Once my insurance did their paperwork, car x made sure my parts were ordered and had it fixed by Tues afternoon. Chris kept me updated during the whole process and I had my truck back by Tues afterwork. I would most definitely recommend car x for their timeliness and great customer service!

I moved to the Bloomington/Normal area for grad school 3 years ago. When I was looking for a new auto shop, this carx location came up as the highest rated shop in the area on Yelp. I was a 22 year old, single female with no car experience. My biggest criteria for a shop was to find a place that didn’t “rip me off because I’m a woman.” This shop deserves their #1 rating because they do great work and only recommend what is needed. I’m fully respected when I go in and they treat me with dignity, giving me great deals and can explain the services and why they are needed. They have been there for me in at least 2 emergencies (one being today). I called their office and Chris, their manager, drew up the paperwork immediately and was prepared for me when I came in. I recommend this business to all of my coworkers and friends in the areas because I trust the work that they do.

I stopped by Davis Tire when I noticed my low tire pressure warning came on, on my truck. I was willing to pay to have air added to the tires, and was surprised when they were very happy to add air at no charge. I had such a crazy day and accidentally fell asleep and missed my appointment, and at the very last minute, Wyett said they were still able to accommodate me to do an oil change and a tire rotation. It was VERY important to not drive the car anymore until the oil was changed, especially since the ‘Change Oil’ light was on. Every other place in town told me they were closing soon, or couldn’t take me at such a last moment. I am very blessed for the kindness and upmost caring personality that your servicemen had towards me. As I sit here and wait for my vehicle, I can tell Wyette truly cares about the customers, and his job, and the reputation of the company. There dedication to provide excellent customer service shows greatly, and I will continue to come here for future repairs, and any auto/tire work on my vehicle. I pass several places to get an oil change, and will come here simply for the fact that they didn’t turn me away when I was in a big jam. This man and his employees deserve a raise!

Took my 70 Plymouth Cuda in for a front end alignment. It was the 1st time I had taken business there since they changed to CarX. The technician who worked on my car - Gary is well versed in retro mechanics, as well as modern day cars. He even took the time to check my brakes and suspension.I am pleased to say my experience was very good, and therefore, I will be taking my other vehicles to CarX in the future. The guys are knowledgable, friendly, did the work on time, and for the best price.

We had a tire starting to go flat on our drive to Bloomington. Once we arrived there, they let us know it would be about 30 min. They had us in an out, showed us where a rusty nail went through. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them.

Was traveling from Georgia when my check engine light came on 4 hours away from Bloomington. I called the shop and they were able to get me in same day. Had my oil changed and found out there was a connection error that caused my check engine light to come on. He assured me i could still make my road trips and no issue with my car. They reset my code. 1 week and nearly 3000 miles later my car is good. They were quick, didnt try to sell me unnecessary work and i felt very confident in their work. My new mechanic when im local!

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Wanted them to also check my car which they then claimed to have found some work that needed to be done. After completing the work they then tried to put my car back together and they couldn’t get it to start! I was told my car would be ready by noon in which I arrived at 3pm to them tell me my car wouldn’t start. This was a Saturday and they promised it would be ready Monday. Monday came along and the person working the front never called. I called them at 5pm and he had already left for the day! I then experienced the same exact thing on Tuesday. It was not until Wednesday that I marched in there and demanded my car (they then had it done within an hour). Safe to say I will never take my car here again, nor do I recommend anyone in the Bloomington-Normal area.

I had a skid steer tire that went flat, dropped it off and it was taken care of pronto. Staff was helpful with loading and unloading and easy to deal with for sure. Highly recommend!

We were test driving a new car, and we stopped by CarX Tire and Auto because we wanted them to inspect the car and make sure everything worked properly before we bought it. We walked in and told them that we wanted an inspection, and Seth Kinder told us not to worry about it, and that he would give us a quick inspection for no money at all, even though there was a 2 hour wait! It took them 20 minutes, and everything looked great. Overall, an extremely friendly group of people that are clearly willing to go the extra mile for customers. This shop has always been very friendly and helpful for every car problem I bring to them. This week my car broke down and after taking it to Car X, I had it back up and running within a day. This shop was very friendly, reasonably priced, and quick with the repairs. This is a shop that I trust and strongly recommend.

Ive been taking my car to Davis for several years for routine maintenance and repairs. The guys are really friendly, honest and dependable. The prices are very competitive, cheapest oil change and tire rotation Ive found when using one of their coupons. They have a punch tag to earn a free oil change too. The also offer a courtesy shuttle, but if you decide to wait around theres always free popcorn! I highly recommend you check them out!

I recently took my car in to replace the ball joints. Car was delivered after hours the night before but I received a call at 8 a.m. the next morning with a full report on the damage and a total price. Then the car was finished and ready for pick up by 3 p.m. same day! Very timely and polite service. Trey was great to work with and I will be a returning customer.

And I love that they have a FREE! shuttle service so I can get a ride to work and or from work if my vehicle is going to have service done. I just drop it off and let them know where I need to go and I just call when Im finished.
