This was a painless mattress shopping experience. We were greeted at the door and we explained what we needed. Bobby very clearly explained the process- finding the mattress firmness we were comfortable with and then being able to choose from many online choices. Bobby and Gerald were both friendly without being obsequious. My husband and I both hate shopping for mattresses, and we usually end up with a mattress we end up feeling we spent too much money on and that we really don’t like. That was not our experience today. Hopefully, we will like the mattress as much as we enjoyed the experience.

Tim is amazing and showed me how to pick a good mattress for my frame and sleeping patterns. Bobby jumped in to help me place my order weeks later. What an amazingly easy experience with these guys today… I walked in only having a general idea of the firmness in a new mattress I was looking for & what I wanted to spend.My sales guy, Matt, took me through several different mattresses to lay out on to check what was ideal for what I was looking for. He took me through cooling top options, then over to the computer to filter down to what I wanted to spend, and we had my new mattress chosen in a matter of minutes.He was very friendly, professional & he helped me better understand the type of support I’m looking for, as I am very active athlete, and need that lower back love.I was in & out of there literally in 25 minutes. Cannot recommend this bedding shop highly enough!

Recently made my second purchase from US Mattress in two years (first to replace an old mattress then to upsize the master bed to a king). Awesome experience purchasing a mattress from out of state with in person help over the phone. Both times I called for advice about picking out my mattress and connected with Jake who was pleasant, helpful, and patient. Jake pointed me in the right direction and I am so happy with the first mattress I purchased without ever having tried it in person! The second mattress, picked out again with Jake’s guidance, is arriving this week and I expect to love it just as much!Very satisfied with my US Mattress experience. The selection is great, the mattress models were easy to explore and compare online, and the prices are competitive. Plus the 120 night trial helps make mattress shopping a little less stressful!

Update 1/21/21: mattress finally came about an hour outside of my window. Delivery guys were nice and wore masks into my home. I had to call the store and talk to Jake, my sales guy, who informed me they often run behind because theyve been really busy. If that information was told to me up front I probably wouldnt have thrown such a fit. But now my mattress is delivered and Im happy. I think US Mattress is a good place to buy from but they need to work on communication.Update 1/21/21: I am changing my review from 5-star down to three. Its been about a week since I purchased the mattress and it was supposed to be delivered Tuesday of this week. We were home during the delivery window yet found a notice in our mailbox saying we missed the delivery and that no one was here (the driver never knocked on the door). We tried calling the driver back and kept getting sent to voicemail. I called customer service and had to leave a message for their dispatcher who has not called me back yet. The next morning someone called to reschedule the delivery to today (two days later). Well, Ive been home again during the delivery window and: nothing. Not a phone call, not a note. I called the dispatcher again and, no surprise, had to leave a voicemail. I contacted my salesperson the first time this happened and he hasnt even acknowledged the issue. If youre in Southeast Michigan do NOT buy from US Mattress. There is zero excuse for the poor and inconsistent service were receiving. I have no idea where my mattress is (and it wasnt cheap) and I dont know why its so hard to get in touch with someone who knows whats going on.Original review: I walked in without knowing whether or not I’d buy a mattress today. Jake in Birmingham made it an easy decision. I explained my current situation with my over 12-year-old Serta, a spouse who runs marathons in his sleep, and the child who wants to jump on our bed. He guided me though their firmness ranking system and helped me settle on a heavenly mattress and pillow. Zero pushing me to make a purchase, Jake explained what he saw in terms of my spinal alignment while in a sleep position and gave me other observations I appreciated. I visited this location a few weeks ago in search of a new bed (obviously). I wasnt ready to purchase, but I needed to start shopping somewhere. I spent a few minutes getting familiar with the different types of beds with help from the salesperson. He was friendly, but very set on making a sale.About 10 minutes in, I could feel my blood sugar dropping fast. Having hypoglycemia, Im very aware of the next few steps in having low blood sugar, so I asked for a card and told the salesperson I would be back. Once I turned my back on him and the other fellow working there and started toward the door, I heard one of them mutter, She wont be back. Well now, I definitely wont be back. It was rude to say that loud enough to hear it. Given how close I still was to them, I feel as though they wanted me to know what they thought of me.Wait until your customer leaves the store to disparage them.Also, once he found out how much I was looking to spend, he went out of his way to just show me cheaper items. Cost wasnt the main focus; I would have happily chosen to spend a bit more for a product I was going to truly be happy with. I even told him as much, but it seemed like he felt I was going to be a problem customer, given that I wanted to know what all my options were.

Cody and Jennifer were very thorough and courteous in helping us select a mattress and pillows. We truly appreciate all of the time and information they provided us in making such a key decision! Their pricing is great and they are willing to back that up with on the spot computer pricing comparisons. There is a nice selection available but we are partial to the comfort and durability provided by Stearns & Foster—they have many models to choose from and rate them according to the support they provide (firm to soft). My husband and I just upgraded to a King size mattress and went to US-Mattress Birmingham. We had the pleasure of working with Cody. He was incredibly helpful and not at all overbearing. He was very honest and helpful in keeping us at our price point as well. We did not feel pressured to purchase a mattress, but we did so because he gave us as much time and space as we needed to pick the right one.

When shopping for a new mattress for our guest room, I found a great deal of actually useful information on the US-Mattress YouTube channel. So when it came time to purchase, I thought “Why not give them the chance to earn my business?” I went to the US-Mattress website and spoke to Kyle in chat. He answered all my questions and when I asked about tax exempt status question for this purchase, he provided me with the phone number to call to get help with that issue. I called and spoke with Cody who was able to handle the tax exempt paperwork via email in less than 5 minutes! Cody took the time to ask questions regarding our needs, explained the 120 night policy should we need to return the mattress and then made sure I had all the items needed to enjoy the bed the night it was delivered. He took the time to get to know me, my needs and was extremely personable, professional and expeditious! I couldn’t have asked for a more courteous online experience! He got my order placed in a timely manner and emailed me the paperwork for the Visa gift card not even 10 seconds after I hung up! All around, this was a great experience and if the mattress delivery is as professional as the sale, I’ll be a US-Mattress customer from now on!

Update: they finally refunded my order. It took a few calls to get accomplished. My recommendation: give your customer service staff the power and information to make decisions. Everytime I called I had to be called back (which never happened) to get an answer. It took them ten days to give me a reasonable option, but I had already bought a bed in a box.Buyer beware. I originally gave this place a 5 star review. We were told a king mattress could be bent and fit into our door and IT CANNOT! Meanwhile weve thrown away all of our queen bed stuff, bought and assembled a new king bed, and bought all new king sheets all based on bad information from this store. Now customer service is reviewing the case to see what our options are. I should have known better.

I was routed from the 800 number to Cody, a 10 yr vet of US Mattress who offered his knowledge to me before I completed my order.I explained to him my situation. My current mattress and the mattress before that, and how I wound up where I was, and the mattress I wanted to purchase from him. He offered his opinion on why my current mattress was the correct support-wise but was perhaps the wrong comfort level...and why the mattress I was about to buy might be OK short-term, might not be the right comfort long-term...which is exactly the situation I was in.I asked him what mattress he recommended and Cody gave me the product number to enter into the search of the site...it was the other mattress I was looking at but had removed from the running because of price, combined with the sale price on my 2nd choice...but what good is a sale price if youve still got the wrong bed?
