I have stopped into the Scottsdale RH store a couple times. Correct, your visit is of very little importance. The employees must be paid minimum wage, and are on the bottom shelf. I love the style of furnishings there, and was going to design my Scottsdale home there, But after reading all the poor reviews, Im not going to gamble with a purchase from RH. Going somewhere else.
Love this store, great selection of furniture, not cheap but well worth the price, very large showroom compare to other RH. You get to see more selections of all they have to offer.
After waiting 3.5 weeks to meet with our designer we only get a call less than 24 hrs prior that it needed to be cancelled because she wasn’t ready. seems very unprofessional to me. My husband had already requested the time off work and I had rescheduled some long standing appointments. Not a good first impression!
Very helpful staff, went over different color options and decorations, a bit pricy but very high end.
We walked in as a group of 5 to look around as it was a beautiful furniture set up and walk through. the salesman see us with our boba and don’t say anything. As my friends and I stop to look at the beautiful mirrors we take sips of our boba and put our masks back up. an older white haired skinny saleswoman walks up and tells us to put our masks up. we don’t say anything as we are not anti maskers. though we do find it odd as we see 2 other people sitting down in chairs with their masks completely down. we continue to walk up the stairs and this woman is circling us basically and as we approach the outdoor patio she corners us and says that the patio cannot be a social gathering because of Covid. (We didn’t even try to sit down) we felt attacked and watched the whole time. just us walking in the building had this lady on guard. the lady continued to practically guard the patio area. we weren’t even allowed to walk out and look. I was extremely confused as this type of treatment has never happened to us before. Just wanted to voice my concern.
We recently bought a second home in the Scottsdale area. We worked with Jordan and Matt who helped us furnish several rooms in our new home and outdoor living space. It has been a great experience. Considering we are remote which makes it more challenging. The communication has been excellent and responses timely. Every step along way has been smooth. They listened to our likes and gave great recommendations to help create a perfect fit for our style. Delivery times have been accurate and the process has been really smooth. I would highly recommend with with Matt and Jordan.
Incredibly deceptive sales tactics. We paid 2-3x the amazon price for a RH chandelier expecting better quality and service. The salesperson lied to us stating definitively that it included the installation of the chandelier. We didn’t find out until delivery that this was definitely not the case. In following up with the sales manager at the store, I never received a response. In emailing the corporate website I received no response. Wow! Really disappointed.
The layout is very beautiful with great pieces. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Dix not like the new look at all. The previous look had a lot more character.
Decent furniture store. Much better service at other furniture stores nearby.
Jordan, Matt and Team,We wanted to say a huge Thank You to you and your team for making our dream house come true - it is truly spectacular. This experience for us has been so awesome and thank you all for your professionalism and your gift of making our vision come to life. Thank you again and I am sure we will be seeing you soon.Steve and Jeanne & Kids
Service is always great, everyone is helpful.
TOOK THREE PHONE CALLS TO GET ONE MAILING LABELIt should not have to take three phone calls to get one mailing label to return four towels. I recommend that the return process is streamlined and made easy for the customer so they dont have to jump through all kinds of hoops and make phone calls and get put on hold just to return one box of goods.
I dont want to discount anyones, perceived, sub par customer service because, clearly, its always an individual experience. I will say that my husband and I have had extraordinary service, on several occasions, from our salesperson, Kimmie Wyatt. We were looking for dining room furniture and had seen some at Ethan Allen that we almost bought - but I wanted to check out Restoration Hardware first. Kimmie greeted us, in a friendly manner, as soon as we walked in and asked if there were anything she could help with. We instantly felt at ease and ended up having a delightful time while our questions were answered, suggestions were made and expert guidance was given. We ordered a table and chairs and felt that the price was as good or better than we would get elsewhere for the same (or lessor) quality. While when I first heard about their new membership pricing I was a little leery, it actually has been a huge benefit and provided substantial savings. We were so pleased that we have since ordered on two other occasions from Kimmie. Now I am looking forward to the time I can upgrade my bedroom! I should add that we need all of these orders to be delayed as we were waiting to move into a new home. Jimmie made sure everything was scheduled to account for our move and its worked out perfectly for us. The quality of the furnishings is excellent and, for us, we are beyond satisfied with every phase of our shopping experience.
Excellent experience at RH. Emily was very patient with us as we chose the “perfect” dining table. Kudos to all at this beautiful store.
Wasn’t sure what to expect after the review we saw. Super experience - from the moment we walked in the door! Greeted warmly and given lots of quality time. Had further questions and other salespeople were more than willing to answer. We weren’t dressed up and didn’t ever feel we were discriminated for it.
I love RH and have found the customer care to be fabulous. My husband and I have decorated our home with furniture from here and couldnt be happier with the results. One of my favorite things is the linen robe that I recently bought. A bit of advice though... handwash it or dry clea .
Great deals on tables and bar stools. Impressive selection that rotated and updated often.A must stop while shopping for furniture and furnishings.
Always well styled and the store has a soothing vibe that presents a balance of clean lines with ornate lighting. We use it for our design discussions with our customers. The staff is very friendly as well, especially Annie.
Very pricey...I dont know how to describe the atmosphere except to say the salespeople (excuse me) designers are pretentious...my sense is they need to get over themselves. Attitude does not make product better. The store itself is beautiful.... but I would rather spend the same amount at Crate and Barrel and have fun doing it, I think the RH folks take themselves way too seriously.....
My husband and I went to the RH Scottsdale store. We were wanting to make a purchase but after looking around for someone to help us for over 15 minutes, we decided to leave the store. There were two salespeople in the entire store that we saw. One was on the phone the entire time and the other one was with a customer, obviously a designer that had her captive attention. Terrible service for such a beautiful store. We left...wont return. Our time is as valuable as theirs.
It should have been an easy order: cash, small item. When it didnt arrive in two weeks, I called and was assured it was on its way. That was the first time I called. I called another four times, with no one really making an effort to provide quality Customer Service. The third or fourth time I called was when it was discovered they had the wrong email address, which is why I never received notification of delivery. The fourth or fifth time I called is when I was told the item was returned to them. I asked them to resend it, which they confirmed they had...until I was actually provided with the tracking number, at which time I found out that it was never resent. Really disappointed...no, disgusted...with the quality of service. It could have been very easily remedied if someone had taken just another 5 minutes.
I never write reviews but this store needs an attitude adjustment. I’ve been to RH three times in the past month looking for chandeliers for my new home. Customer service is very disappointing! No one tries to help or even say hello. I walked around all three times with questions and no one offered help. I asked a couple of questions yesterday and the employees just looked at each other waiting for the other one to answer, then gave me very brief answers. They lost a big purchase what can I say!
What can I say... This place is awesome. I think they should have a nightclub on the roof! VERY fancy stuff in here. I cant afford anything in here, but always fun to walk around and see what is on sale. But seriously... Throw a DJ on the roof at sunset... Could be epic!
Very poor commitment to stand by their products. As a designer married to a builder doing high end homes, we were assure that their plumbing fixtures were not only exclusive to them but guaranteed for life. Well, we are seeing some poor show of wear on them and have asked to have them replaced. We paid a very substantial price for the guaranty, particularly given the fact that we buy at trade prices through our plumbing wholesalers, based on their promise of a lifetime warranty. I have been given the run around since asking for them to look at the products which when purchased, had been assured were exclusive to RH. The faucets are 11 years old. I did not save the receipts, understandably. Now they claim that they cannot help me without receipts. I have spent over $100,000 with these jokers. Shame on you, Restoration Hardware!
I remodeled my house using the restoration hardware products in North Scottsdale. The service has been outstanding, I think that the quality of some of their vendor who manufacturer their lights and mirrors need better quality controlled had to return several times. However, their customer service has been outstanding and you usually cant judge that until after purchasing
Don’t expect to get any service whatsoever unless you are in your 60’s or older and dressed up like you are rich. I slowly walked through all 3 levels of this place with my wife dressed in shorts and a t-shirt and not one single salesperson so much as acknowledged us let alone tried to help us. One sales associate (tall bald guy with a goatee) looked directly at me while I was looking at some chairs and apparently decided he didn’t think I could afford them so he just turned around and walked the other way. I was actually in the market for a table and chairs and was not at all shocked by the prices, but I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I was at RH Scottsdale with my family of 5 and we are not from Scottsdale so we were extremely exited to come and see their showroom. We came later in the day, around 6 or 7. We were really going there because my son wanted a new bedroom set and knew exactly what he wanted. We all walked in and started to wonder around and we were there for at least 15 minutes before we decided to ask for some help. The lady who was there and ended up “helping” my son was extremely rude to him (he was 13) and he named exactly what he wanted (used the names from the webpage) and the lady blew him off and played “you’re just a kid” card. She gave him the samples of the leather and said if you need anymore help you can just ask one of our associates because my shift is over. We decided to do that. We went with a different sales person and my wife and son started talking to him, and saying how we would love to come back and purchase with that guy since the store was closing, but he said that we could go to anyone since they don’t make a commission, which explained a lot.The worst part about all of this was after we built a bedroom on one of the sales people’s iPad we went downstairs to leave and she was still there! That was about a hour later. Very disappointed, especially because how lovely the furniture looks. RH Scottsdale needs a attitude check up. They also lost a 30k customer.
I almost must report same bad experience as many others. Absolutely horrible service. I wont write a long review here because its not worth my time but I have 2 outstanding issues this company cant fix. Dont expect any customer service here and when a problem with shipping (which will be longer than they quote) or a product (that will likely not come as you order) does arise dont expect them to treat you any better than any other much less expensive shop
I must echo what seems to be a common thread regarding customer service, or the total lack of it. For the most part the staff at the Scottsdale Quarter location seem oblivious to the importance of service. I have visited the store on several occasions and had staff members walk right past me without even acknowledging my presence, let alone offer any kind assistance. Instead, I found myself searching for someone to help with my order. Yes, I only visit to make purchases. Some of the worst offenders are the so called decorators and supervisors. On one occasion I related all the items I wished to purchase to a particular decorator, she seemed uninterested in being of help, and in the end she only remember one of the items I had asked to purchase. She then, said is that all you want? It was more of a statement, than a question. Let me add, this was not my only dissatisfying experience with this individual. I no longer visit the store, as it is almost always an excrutitiating experience.
Fancy stuff. Just pretend like you are rich and they won’t be upset with you for being there
I am amazed that with this kind of investment in a retail store that the service is so bad. Online, Offline it is the same. I did my entire home here and it was easier to have my wisdom teeth pulled. Great products but the whole customer service culture here is a disaster.
Restoration Hardware used to be a very cool store back in the early 2000s. It had useful gadgets and other fun things to buy especially during the Christmas season. It has since devolved into some kind of wannabe swank-fest with overpriced furniture and rugs and and things like knobs for drawers and towel racks. The new location (it used to be across the street at Kierland), is admittedly very cool with a fountain out front, 3 stories and attractive staircases leading upward to a nice outdoor patio area on the top floor, but there is really nothing much else to do or see or buy here anymore now that those cool gadgets are long gone.I think they must be trying to change their image and it worked! I used to think it was a really cool store with unique gift options and books and other things, and now its just a store that has absolutely nothing that I want to buy. It also feels uncomfortable walking in as the store now seems geared towards only the richest folks of Scottsdale and you can feel the suspicious eyes of the employees on you as you walk around the store trying to see if there are any final remnants of the days when it was so cool to walk around. The old Restoration Hardware cant come to the phone right now. Why? Because its dead!
If you have money they cater to you if you have no money they only want to talk to you
Horrendous customer service. My husband and I are repeat RH customers in Minnesota, but after our experience at the Scottsdale store we will not be back. We stilled in to check out some furniture for our new PV home and every salesperson in the store seemed totally oblivious to the fact that we had some questions. A week later, I called the store with a question on leather care for a sofa we had previously purchased. The woman on the phone seemed in a rush and had no interest in speaking to me; she took my phone number and promised a call back, but I never heard from her again. The staff here has ZERO customer service skills.
Absolutely worst performance of any furniture company Ive ever dealt with. Ordered $50,000 worth of furniture and several pieces keep on getting delayed. It has been 6 months now and still only have half of what we bought. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY. THERE IS A REASON THEIR STOCK HAS TANKED 67% THIS YEAR.
Everything you want for home. Sheets pillows and furniture the quality unbelievable
In the past, we have bought several furniture items including 2 large custom leather couches but now, RH is getting to gimmicky with their members club and expensive delivery service. RH will NOT allow the customer to pick up at a distribution center. I am sure some bean counter got a great performance review when they came up with these surcharges. Maybe that person came from the airline business where they can get away with bogus add-on charges.
Restoration Hardware is a waste of time and your money. The staff are rude and inept. My American Express was accidentally (or intentionally) charged $3000 for my $2700 bed. I was told the charge would fall off when asked about the excess. Customer service is a joke. I have greater expectations for a company charging these kind of prices. I would have done better to go the Ashley Furniture.
I went in to the store today to order bedding with my mother and was disappointed beyond belief! ! 1st the lighting to even look was laughable, customer service very sad indeed. I would say it was the single most miserable shopping trip I have ever been on. I remember the Biltmore store and picking up orders for clients and pretty much expected the same level of service, even in this dimly lit store. I did however go online afterward and place an order, will see if it comes with any issues!! They do have quality merchandise but customer service is very bad, we were waiting well over an hour for help!!!
Had to exchange covers and customer service was great. They could not have been nicer.Roger
Weve order several items from Restoration Hardware...ALWAY RECEIVE IN TIMELY MANNER AND THEIR QUALITY IS IMPECCABLE!
Echoing other comments here about customer service... At least the non custom items you can usually return but we had to make 3 trips just to get the items we paid for due to their errors (wrong size, wrong color, etc.)
Beautiful store with friendly staff.
Every time I have come in to this store the associates have been rude and unconcerned with customer care. I had to wait 30 minutes for paint samples I had asked to be put on hold. I then tried to avoid going into the store by calling them to order the paint I decided on and the associate ordered in the wrong color. Needless to say, if you live in the valley and want something from RH, buy it online.
Presently a race between whether the customer service or furniture is worse. stay tuned and i will update you on who wins.
Terrible customer service. We were completely ignored by multiple staff members. Oddly enough we already knew what we wanted, they just lost selling $15k worth of furniture.
Very friendly staff and incredible products
Ordered three $380 stools - kept on receiving defective items, extremely disappointed with their lack of quality. Stools look cheaply made and clearly they do not have any QA controls. Will not buy from them again.
Pricy but high quality. Lov!!!!
Pricey
Super expensive and not very friendly.
Beautiful, but very expensive
Over priced
Big disappointment....
Great furniture place
Sales people are obnoxious, pretentious and non responsive while walking around with their head sets and laptops ....... Total disaster....And please spare me the huge catalog in the mail Waste of paper ........
