Ive been meaning to write a review of the ice cream here for ages. Its the best. Not too sugary but sweet enough. Incredibly creamy. I love the fruit flavors. The long lines are worth it!

Valencia orange is my favorite here..

They often have unusual flavor combos (honey lavender is actually better than I thought it would be) and there can be a line but its always worth the wait.

Seriously the best ice cream in albany. I thought it was on the pricy side and on first glance I wasnt impressed but I got more than I thought and the cone was actually still warm! The ice cream was incredible too! The community sure likes it too because there was a line. Definitely a fan. Totally will go back.

The cherry milkshake had no discernable cherry flavor. Tasted vaguely like lemon, actually. I’ve been to this place 2 times so far and I love it. I tried almond mocha and it was delicious. I like the fact that they are not using plastic cups.

I have confession, I have a very bad sweet tooth. I’ve seen this place on my to the Berkeley tunnel and never thought much of it until I tried it. This place is so awesome and they don’t skimp on the ingredients. If you are ever in the area this is a must.

If you have not be there..YOU HAVE TO GO!The ladies who work there and the owner..WONDERFUL PEOPLE!I have to go at least 2 to 3 times a week. When you order, you can ask for samples, which are placed as the finishing touch. We get ours in togo cups. Lid on the side!Valencia Orange, Honey Lavender, Raspberry with chocolate chunks..not chips..chunks!Chocolate, Vanilla, Maple Walnut,Mexican Chocolate.....oh and there are Sorbets....WONDERFUL! Sorry no pictures this time. I forget because I am too busy enjoying my ISCREAM!...and yes ...we have been on our way to dinner and end up getting ISCREAM, before we eat!

After a long hike in the morning with the suns heat gently caressing my skin today was a day to have some ice cream. My friends and I went to iScream to wash down the sushi we ate down the street. When we got there I swear I would have continued walking if my friends did not stop me, it was a small store manned by one woman. She was super friendly and really patient with us trying samples of the our interested flavors. We all ordered a single scoop on a waffle cone; with the single scoop you have an option to combine two flavors which is a pretty sweet deal (no pun intended).As for me I ordered dark chocolate which was the perfect taste of decadent chocolate. Their vanilla bean though was a POW of vanilla bean; I would have to say that came pretty close with the dark chocolate. The woman scooped all our ice creams then rang us up to $4.25 per cone, that is why I gave it a 4 star.If one got a pint that would have been $6 (or maybe $16, I could have not been looking right) but $4.25 for a single scoop waffle cone. . . yeah even with the finest ingredients it charged as much as I would have paid at a nitrogen-ice-cream place. Would I go back here, of course, only to double check if the pint is $6; I dislike to misinform. I would go back on another occasion, dont get my wrong iScream has solid ice cream flavors, but for myself I like to take caution on my bank account.

I had ordered Salted caramel and Honey lavender, and had gotten cookies and cream with Honey lavender. Also had changed my little brothers order from cookies and cream to mint chip. But the ice creams was ok/good. But if it was what I wanted it would have been amazing. Would get helped by another person next time.

Best Ice Cream on Solano! They have rotating seasonal flavors and a few consistent favorites. They make the waffle cones and chocolate sauce on site along with all of the ice cream. Do not be deterred by the seemingly seating area. People rotate in and out pretty quickly. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful, all compostable serving containers and there are chalk boards for the kids to use on the walls!

Tried a flavor named lavender honey..quite tasty. You can order 1 scoop with 2 different flavors which is awesome. The fresh strawberry and chocolate are delicious. Fresh baked waffle cones too!!!

I wanted to like this place, but its hard to with the prices and the quality of the stuff here. I came here with friends and got a hot chocolate. The person working asks if I want whipped cream in it (to which I respond yes) and then she proceeds to tell me that they are out of it. While the whole whip cream thing is not a big deal, I was annoyed after trying the beverage and realizing that it was the worst hot chocolate Ive had in my life. My friends got ice cream and commented on how great it tasted but also commented that the scoops they got were incredibly small.

San Francisco has a lot of GOOD ice cream shops with a lot of fuss around them, but this place blow them away.Its a kinda hidden gem in Berkley, tiny store but cutely designed, with supper friendly staff! Those girls were amazing!I got the lime cream and dark chocolate, in a chocolate waffle cone of course! The lime cream was the best and most refreshing thing Ive ever tasted and paired so beautiful with the rich dark chocolate. It even had lime zest in it!If you order one scoop, like I did, you can have it split in two flavors! And believe me one scoop is enough!!!Such a delicious ice cream shop, I only wish it was closer!

A nice spot to get a cold treat. I love that they use real spoons for tasters and reduce their waste stream in doing so. Lots of great and original flavors and they will even split a single scoop in half so you can try too. Ginger ice cream is not something you find everyday so I will definitely be back. I thought it was kind of expensive when I first walked in, but a half scoop is only $2.75 and fulfilling to me, and IT TASTES SOOOO GOOD!! I got the Thai Iced Tea. It was AMAZINGG and you could even see the little black specs of vanilla beans. They dont have a giant variety of flavors, but what they have is seriously so delicious. 100% WOULD RECOMMEND

The smell of freshly made waffle cones hits you even before you step foot inside; which is always a good sign for an ice cream parlor in my book. I love that flavors rotate, although whenever they dont have the lavender honey I get bummed out because it is so delicious that I want it every time. Im serious; that ice cream is the best. The consistency and flavor are off the charts. Lavender is a flavor that can easily be overwhelming, but their recipe nails it.I love that they let you sample flavors and that you can split a single scoop between two flavors. Also a fan of the compostable cups for your scoops. This is my favorite ice cream joint in the area.

Tasty and unique ice cream, with proper portions (not large). The Mexican Chocolate has a distinct cinnamon flavor with a bit of a spicy hint after five bites...perfectly subtle. The flavors are spot on, with classics and creatives. If you want some dessert and you like ice cream, check them out!

Prices are not low but the quantity is generous (a single is really two good sized scoops so you can choose two flavors). The ice cream itself is dense and vibrantly flavored. People who work there are unfailingly friendly and willing to accommodate requests (they recently added shakes as people kept asking for them and they add flavors that are requested as well). There are only a few tables including one outside, but they afford a nice view of the interesting people on upper Solano.

Best ice cream ever if flying to Italy is not in the cards. Not too sweet, full of fresh organic ingredients, everchanging flavours, friendly service, long hours. I recommend trying their mocha almond, green tea, chai, raspberry, strawberry orange and lemon flavours. Delightful reason to take an evening stroll with kids on Solano.
