Seems like a nice space inside, but due to the corona it is obviously closed. For the time being, they’re taking orders at the front door.Super strong cold brew, and a great selection of pour over. If it’s anything like the location that was in the Castro, the people working usually know the coffee really well and give great suggestions.

I used to love this place a lot and came regularly. But, today is definitely well below average. Your barista recommended a medium roast pour over from a place that she doesnt even know ???? And she made my pour over... Yes, with a lot of grinds. Besides, where does the almond croissant come from? Hard as a rock, taste like paper...

Wont be basing this experience solely on this visit, but it seems like someone else had a similar experience. Ordered a matcha latte and when I received it, it had lumps of matcha in the drink.. not appetizing. Would have asked them for a refund but parking was ridiculous around here and I just had to go. Might try them again later down the line.

Chic, modern, and spacious coffee house with great coffee roasted on premise, pastries and light eats. They also sell interesting and unique coffee making gadgets and contraptions. My issue with them: theyre quite pricey. Call me old-fashion but I have a hard time getting used to paying $4-$5 for a cup of coffee (espresso drinks and pour-overs) though this seems to have become the norm in the Bay Area.

My favorite coffee place in Berkeley. I wish it were closer to campus but its almost always worth a bike/bus ride down to 4th street for a visit. Its super affordable and delicious. I love getting the cold brew coffee here. The environment is incredibly modern and with a hipster vibe. They have lots of expensive fancy coffee machines in display that you can browse while waiting in line.

I needed to find a coffee spot before I continue on with my road trip. I pulled up and there was front parking. Thank the lucky parking gods for that one! It was meant to be.Artis Coffee is definitely a place where you would want to hang out for a couple of hours. The ambiance is bright, warm and inviting and I can see myself staying and reading a couple of chapters from a book.Staff was friendly and prompt. I watched them execute each drink carefully and swiftly, all still being friendly to the customers.I just wanted something easy, a black cold brew. Normally, I would add cinnamon to it but they had cold brew where they infused cinnamon! Best tasting cold brew I had for awhile and it was smooth because I didnt have to add the spice and have it powdery and clumpy. I also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie to go and that had to be the best chocolate chip cookie I have had in a long time. Thin, chewy but crisp on the outside.Wish I stayed in town longer to check out the area but next road trip, I am stopping by again.

First time and ordered a double shot espresso. Quite pricey — came out to $4.16 with tax. The beans tasted like they had potential with a more acidic taste, but it tasted quite watered down. If I am going to spend $4 on an espresso, I expect a premium shot. Maybe I would give this place another chance, but with a price tag that high it’s hard to want to..

Very tasty coffee, and Im not a huge fan of espresso. The fresh bean and roasting on the spot is a lot of fun and you get some exceptional coffee beans that are tailored to your tastes. There are a few coffee snob related items to buy, including expensive coffee making equipment, but you can save an average of $35 buying on Amazon. Not much for food here but they do carry Starter Bakery items and the coffee and espresso are done beautifully. I will keep stopping by here when I am in the neighborhood.

This is some of the best black coffee in Berkeley (and Im a complete snob about it). They make one of the better daily drips around (comparable to many pour overs), and of course offer pour overs of a large selection of single-origin beans. The flavor profiles are on the medium-light side, but they do have a couple beans to tickle the tastebuds of you dark roast nuts. Worth a try! I give 4 stars only because I like a couple other spots better: Babette and Blue Bottle, for example.

Never a problem with the coffee here, including awesome service and a welcoming cafe environment. However, I took issue today with your wifi connectivity which made me lost about 45 minutes of much needed studying / work. I don’t mind paying top dollar for the coffee and ambience, however one should be able to work from a laptop without getting kicked off every 5 minutes.
