Dog friendly! Exceptional coffee! And it is family owned! Need I say more? Ok, gladly. This is the epitome of old time feel coffee shop. You can buy used books or trade them in all while enjoying a cozy atmosphere with coffee and tea. They even offer ‘puppacinos’ which was just icing on the cake for this review. Highly recommend the Java-Chai latte.

Been wanting to stop in and check out this coffee/book cafe shop and I’m so glad we had the time today! The vibe was so good. Calm and relaxing. The decaf espresso my fiancé had was locally roasted by a fireman and it was amazing! My mocha was literally the most perfectly made mocha I’d ever had, not too sweet and the perfect amount of coffee flavor to chocolate ratio. It took a little bit of time to be made so it isn’t a grab and go coffee, but I liked that. We got to talking to the barista, who’s actually a orthodox father who does this on the side, he was really nice and I enjoyed our conversation. We will definitely be back. They’re also working on a back room that will be open for people to use as meet ups or whatnot (were totally going to be using this for game nights). I highly recommend this place for a coffee or if you’re looking for a good book.

I’m absolutely amazed this place has so many 5 star reviews. to start with, we walked in and weren’t greeted by anyone, oh well. tons of people were in the back? of the shop, not a single person was wearing a mask. it was incredibly creepy and uncomfortable to be there. walked out disgusted and felt incredibly dirty.

Looking from Greenwood we first drove by Agia Sophia next to the scuba diving shop. Almost missed it. A coffee shop and book store. Great coffee. Friendly barista. Good prices. Comfortable seating. Interesting music. Easy access. Highly recommend it when in Bend.

When I dropped off books to set up an account....what he didnt tell me was the account is only good for a 50% credit! Other used book stores do not do it that way. Will not be returning...keep my money then. Its a tip off.

My parents and I were looking for a new used bookstore since the one in La Pine closed down with our $50 credit. I saw the good reviews here on Google and thought we would give Open Book a try. We were not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The prices were very reasonable. I do suggest a need to work on their alphabetizing a bit though but most things were in their general area. But whats a good used bookstore without a little hunting and pecking around right? That is part of the fun of it. We will definitely be back when we are in the area next.

Large, well organized second hand book store. The woman in charge was very helpful trying to locate a book of which they did not have a copy. Free parking right in front, definitely wheel chair accessible. Open 10-5. The whole business is actually up for sale.

Great effort by many in Bend to pull together and continue to keep the ‘Open Book’ open, while the remodeling added coffee, teas, treats, and place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and share with others.....come on in!!

Has a really good selection of used and classic books. Where able to find second prints of many Oz titles. Check back every few weeks to see if anyone has brought anything else worth while in.

They do not buy books even though they advertise that they do. I walked in with 20 books and they wouldn’t even look at them. Just a straight no, even though they have a sign in the entryway window that states “WE BUY BOOKS.” The lady behind the counter stated nobody in Bend buys used books for cash, so I walked over to Big Story and sold 10 of them, and then Dudley’s bought another 4. I won’t speak towards selection but my person experience is those two are much better shops that don’t falsely advertise to entice customers into their shops.

Hours - Weekends is when I can shop. I know everyone likes their weekends off, but in the retail business, thats where the money and customer services is. This leaves my options to B&N and Amazon. Theyll win at this rate.

Well organized with plenty of great selections to choose from. The owner, Kaisha, is so knowledgeable about older books and classics, as well as newer books which are getting a lot of reviews. She will order books online for me and get them to me quickly and at very reasonable prices. Love this book store!

Got a 2000 page hardcover book for 7 dollars. Lots of cool books for the history lover.

The shelves were full of books from top to bottom, there were boxes of books, all carefully sorted, old and new from genre to genre; and it was friendly and as inviting as a book with its pages fallen open to the place you left off.

The people who work here are lovely, knowledgeable and helpful! They have an amazing selection!

This is the oldest book store in central oregon! Walking in here, I knew everything was in the same spot it was when I visited here as a teenager every summer while visiting my grandparents.
