Amazing place. Everything we got was made perfect and pretty quick. Staff is very welcoming. Prices are normal. And the best part is the location. The backyard opens to the river in the Drake Park. Plenty of seating.A must visit if you are around Bend.

Iced pumpkin late with real pumpkin purée, delicious. Beautiful and serene back yard on the river. Mocha, Bees Knees, Killer Bee and warm Ocean roll from the Sparrow Bakery are all worth a try. You’ll not regret it.

One of our favorite Bend coffee shops! A river side house turned coffee shop makes for an adorable and cozy place to hang out or work and enjoy the views of Mirror Pond. There is plenty of seating inside and out. The beverages and service are excellent. They also have a few small bites like pastries and bagels. 🥯

We’re currently on a long distance road trip and needed to stop to grab some coffee. This has been the best coffee place of our trip. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and our drinks were divine. I ordered a Velvet Elvis blended with espresso whip. Sooo delicious. This place is great for solo people, friends, couples and families. We sat in the backyard and watched the water.Just so you know there is only one restroom available and when we went the line was long.

Always love going here! Not only do they have great drinks and an awesome selection of local bakery treats but they have some of the best real estate in all of Bend. THE best patio/grass area right on the river. Highly recommended!

But I am literally standing right next to you... just hand it to me. They werent unfriendly, but they definitely were not friendly and definitely not accommodating.The location is great. Near downtown with one of the few spots that have a really good view of the river.

Stumbled on this little coffee shop at one end of Drake Park during a visit to Bend. The location is absolutely lovely. They have a very nice and huge patio area overlooking the river. you can have your dog with you in the patio which makes this my favorite place in Bend! The service is excellent, staff are very friendly, polite and patiently answered all my questions about their various drip coffees. Tried the Brazil, Nicaragua and Black Diamond drop coffees. Loved all three, although Black diamond is my new favorite. I visited this place twice during my two day stay at Bend and will definitely revisit if I stop by Bend again.

This place had a bit of a line (which is honestly a good sign at any dinning establishment) bu it was totally worth the wait. Great service, food, and the coffee was excellent.

We stopped here two days in a row for coffee. (And I didn’t get a pic either day due to such a strong need for caffeine.) The bacon breakfast sandwich on a homemade English muffin hit the spot and didn’t leave my mouth feeling dry like make other English muffins. The iced mocha was strong and delicious — definitely get the espresso whipped cream if they have it!

Well, its my favorite coffee house in Bend. Great people behind the counter, good coffee selections--smooth medium and bold roasts, and all the typical coffee drinks you might expect. But do peek at the whimsically-named specials on the chalkboard out front--theyll become your favorites too. Looney Bean boasts an ample selection of pastries, one of which is The Ocean Roll. Never had one? Huh? Have it warmed up. Enjoy!Its cozy inside and out. Nice view of the river. Free WiFi too.

The coffee and the bagels were excellent! I didnt understand why we had to order from outside even though we could sit inside. There was more staff there than there were customers and yet they couldnt let me just order from the inside. there was no line or anyone waiting outside so I found it strange they told me to go back outside to order when I was inside already

We had coffee from Megaphone so just grabbed cookies and croissants… made by sparrow bakery and tasted very fresh from here! (We’ve had less fresh at sparrow itself) Def would come back and add coffee and sit a bit on the big gorgeous riverside back grass area! Plus they allow dogs (controlled) out back!

Looney bean has AMAZING drinks and snacks!! Every time we go to Bend, we ALWAYS get our coffee from them. Their seasonal drinks are too dang good! They have a sweet and quiet backyard that is right off the river. Love their environment!HIGHLY recommend this place!

Cool little hidden gem for a quick drink or snack. Coffee is roasted in house. Diverse menu that offers plenty for anyone with delicious drinks and food. Service was friendly and fast. Prices were spot on. And location was clean throughout. Ill stop by anytime Im downtown.

So first off the coffee and breakfast sandwiches were good. But $50 was a surprise for what we got.We did get to sit in the back yard so that was something.Pro Tip: the parking is NOT free. We didnt see any parking signs but came back to a fat parking ticket. Nice souvenir

Coffee was really good, we had latte, caramel macchiato, white chocolate mocha and normal mocha. Also had 4 bagels, 2 everything, 1 sea salt and 1 cheese. Everything was good, all loved the coffees they had. Bagels were good too, just that cream cheese on the side was little less in the packets given... but definitely loved the place.

Lots of non-dairy options for milk and they food was divine. Amazing views of the river down below. I loved every bit of this stop while traveling through Bend, OR.

My family and I came here to eat for breakfast while on vacation in Bend. They had a beautiful backyard area for you to eat your fresh pastries and drink your coffee while watching the Deschutes River. They are right in downtown and a must stop on your way through Bend! The food was to die for and the coffee and teas followed them well. If you like views and good coffee, this is a great place to stop!

Delightful little coffee shop. The ocean roll is a must have and if you have any free time sit in their backyard with your cup of joe. There is such a sense of relaxation that comes from the views I would highly recommend checking it out.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Bend. HOWEVER, They use all plastic cups and plastic straws and offer no place to recycle. Will keep my low review until I can report otherwise. Shame on a small business in such an environmental state to not take the waste they produce seriously in the least. Even Burgerville has compostable straws and they are excellent quality. Step it up Looney Bean! Love everything else.

Kosh atmosphere, cozy and inviting. Enjoy your coffee on the couch or in the pet friendly backyard. Coffee done the way it should be. Traveling from WA state to CA and had to stop here before leaving our motel in Bend. The name was enough to peak our interest, and it payed off. 💯

Looney Bean is tops for location location location! Right on the river with patio seating and a beautiful inviting lawn.Good cold brew. A bit watered down so only 4 stars. I was surprised by this since they roast their own beans. A splash of hemp milk added some flavor.Lady with long dark hair was not very welcoming or engaging but oh well. She was prompt with my order and I was in my way out the back for to enjoy the sunshine.Cute interior with plenty of seating if weather needs to keep you inside.So many coffeehouses in town so hard to choose. Maybe not my fav cold brew in awhile but ohhhh that location...

Cool spot. I got this really great tea, i think it was a green tea with lavender and vanilla, and like, it was SO good. I am the tea curator at a tea house with like 50 different teas and this one blew our tea list out of the water.

Delightful coffee with notes of radish and freshly trimmed beard. The cappuccino was made with great skill and left me feeling like a robotics champion.I would recommend the peanut butter cookies, which are made with volcanic ash and hot dog juice. If you play frisbee in the backyard be careful not to fall into the horse infested waters.I would recommend this coffee to people between the ages of 28 and 111. You can not go wrong here unless you try to attack someone with a burrito. 10 out of 10.

I didnt feel hipster enough but the coffee was good, maybe a little sweet but I take mine like mud even in fancier drinks.

I love me some Looney Bean!! Friendly staff, good coffee and great atmosphere. The only thing I dont like is paying $1 extra for oat milk. That seems excessive to me.

This used to be my favorite coffee place! Unfortunately, the last 5 or 6 times I have gone to get a latte or espresso shot they have burned my espresso. I used to love their lattes so I keep going back to give them a chance. Alas, every time I end up getting a nasty tasting burnt espresso drink. I still love their hot chocolates, but I will be looking elsewhere for my my espresso.

10 am, bright sunny day. Happen across a coffee shop. The sign says roasted in Bend. Oh boy, so LoCaL. Ill take a house coffee, Guatemalan, cream and sugar. Prompt service led to satisfaction in minutes, the way we all like it. Upon first tasting I was surprised, nay disappointed at the lack of initial KaPow from other LoCaL rivals. Nevertheless as I walk the 50 feet to the waters edge of the mighty Deschutes, and gaze over the shimmering green channel, this simple $2.50 cup of coffee builds sip upon sip a menagerie of flavor notes so delightful. I am reminded why I am here. Damn I love coffee. 5 stars.

This is one of my favorite spots in downtown Bend. The view of the river from the backyard is a fantastic way to spend a weekend morning.The coffee is top notch as well. Bend has multiple, great coffee places, but none have the view.

Good coffee, even better view. The draw for this coffee shop is the amazing yard/view of the water. It is just spectacular in Fall, and certainly not bad in most other seasons. Lots of outdoor seating to be outside and enjoy the view.

I really like this coffee shop! The coffee is good, he atmosphere is awesome and the ladies are very nice. They have a grassy area where you can relax next to the river.

In the age of covid where outside seating is a must this place knocks it out of the park. Quite possibly the best outdoor seating of any coffee shop in the country. Right on the water, grass, trees. Makes you feel lime you are at a wedding and you are just having a latte.

Really appreciate the effort Looney has put in so everyone can still get their favorite drinks and snacks, while keeping their staff and customers safe. Got my annual pumpkin pie dirty hippie today and it was delicious!

Great coffee and Chai but, super slow and both our drinks were wrong.I had the dirty hippie no whip (dirty chai), and he had chai with whip. Almost 17 minutes later (it side in the wind and rain), we got our drinks. They where weak, mine with whip and his with none.Annoying but, maybe they had new people.

Wonderful coffee and great atmosphere. Plus the location is excellent, in the heart of downtotand near the park.
