Really nice people here. Came for a tune up but walked in the wrong door and explained what was going on with my bike. They quickly fiddled a couple screws on the front derailleur and my shifting problem was fixed. They then measured my chain and told me to go to the other door for service since it was super worn out. Super easy and super helpful.
Bought a bike there for my daughters birthday. Great experience at first and very helpful during purchase. But a month later when the bike broke, they’re not helpful at all - best they can offer is a shop appointment two weeks out.I’d rather do business with someone more willing to stand behind what they sell.
Ive given this place a few chances and have been extremely disappointed with the service. I wont be coming back. My initial experience buying my road bike here was fine. I knew which bike I wanted and had previously been fitted, so the process was easy enough and I was happy to find my size in a discounted model from a prior year. However, my experience getting my bikes serviced here have been awful. My most recent experience highlights these experiences best. I brought my road bike in because the shifting cable broke inside the shifting box. While I was getting that serviced, I decided to get the tires put on my new tubeless setup since I know that can be a pain. After picking up my bike and new wheels, I went home and fully pumped up the new wheels, excited to use them on my tri rig. However, it became obvious at riding pressure there was a leak in the rear wheel. I brought rear wheel back and was told there was a defect with the tire bead (conveniently in the shape and location of where a lever would be used). Because I had brought tire (unused and unboxed) rather than purchasing it from the store, I was told Id have to pay for a new tire. I was frustrated, but I did. My girlfriend picked up the wheel a couple days later. This time, the tire did hold pressure, but, as I was putting on my bike, I realized that the tire was installed in the wrong direction. I had to go back again to get it done right, and, to my surprise (although maybe I shouldnt have been at this point), the store charged me for the time and sealant to fix their mistake! When I brought this up, not a single attempt on their part to make it right. I love supporting local bike shops, but I cant bring myself to support this one given this service. Sharing this experience with a few friends has revealed a couple other horror stories and I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to service their bike to choose somewhere else.
Excellent service. Very friendly and helpful staff.
This review is unfortunate. Previous one got deleted somehow by the owner!I purchased two bikes from them way back when I was younger. Fast forward to the present and I came back and purchased four bikes for my family in the last year. Always been a great experience. My sons BMX bike was recently stolen from our yard (we live in Cambridge, capital city of bike theft unfortunately). We came in once again and purchased a new bike for him, a Specialized Riprock 24. They emphasized over and over again that we had 14 days to return the bike for any reason. Weve never had a reason to return any other bikes but it was reassuring to hear this nonetheless. We get home, he rides in the park across the street, and realizes the bike looks pink in the sun and not white like it did in the store. We tell him we can exchange it for the black one that was in the store, no worries! We called in literally two days later on Friday and explained to them the situation and asked if they still had the black one we saw in the store. It was about 5 pm, they close at 6 pm, and we were on our way there. They gave us a run around story, had two different employees get on the phone, and ended up telling us to come in the next day on Saturday with the bike because they had to build the black bike and theyll figure it all out while we there. They also were extremely concerned about how many times he had rode the bike and asked a bunch of questions about the bike (was it scraped, was it left outside, etc). Again, we had just purchased the bike two days ago and he rode it ONCE.We come in the next day on Saturday with the bike for exchange and guess what? They had sold the black bike! They knew who we were as soon as we walked in and gave each other questionable looks and then the young guy had a story about how they just sold the black bike (he didnt make a note or tell any of the other employees we were coming in so no one knew not to sell the black bike apparently) and unfortunately had no idea when the next shipment would come in. I asked for a refund immediately as I was not going to get stuck with a bike that my son did not want. While the guy took his sweet time to process the refund, a very nice girl was going over different bikes with us but they were not what we wanted. Several minutes later, she finally had to ask him if he had processed the refund while he stuttered and said yes.We left feeling used and our time completely wasted. If we called the day before and were already on our way there but were told to come in the next day, the black bike that had to be built should have been put to the side with a note. The nice girl told us to check the website for when the Riprock would be back in stock. We get in the car and check the website and guess what? The black Riprock is in stock and ready to be ordered and picked up by Monday! (I did the full checkout just to make sure)Deceiving, misleading, and unhelpful. For someone who has purchased thousands of dollars worth of bikes from them, I will no longer be giving them my business. They lost a lifelong customer.
I brought my new electric Anchor bike to the store because I had experienced a flat tire. My tire was replaced because of damage, the excellent staff there noticed the fork on my was bike was backwards as well as not all my gears were catching. After 20 minutes or so of work on my e-bike it was in top condition. I would recommend Wheelworks to any first time e-bike rides as their experinced staff understood my issues and solved them promptly. I will be returning to Wheelworks for my next e-bike tune up.
WELP HOW SHOULD I START THIS, great customer service, and good prices. I have a unicycle however i am so obese the tire popped and bent the frame! SO what do i do go to this place and they fixed it  #bigwinIm happy now (photo taken last weekUni pic was taken before
Awesome, awesome experience!! So glad I decided to come here. Came here for tax free weekend to get a new bike for my 9 year old son. Walked out with 3 bikes and new Thule roof racks to transport them home. The sales staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. Everyone got to take multiple test trips with multiple bikes to find the right fit. So happy with my experience and the service we received during our visit. FYI kids bikes are located around the corner from the main store Wheekworks Too.
I stopped by to pick up an air pump. Since during the pandemic there were no customers allowed inside, there was a long line for bike repairs/purchases out front. The lovely staff in the back helped me out. They grabbed a pump for me and processed my purchase within minutes. They were so friendly and helpful! Thank you Wheelworks, you made my day! I was so happy to be able support a local business rather than buying the pump online from amazon, which I would’ve had to do if I hadn’t been able to get one today. Thank you!!
The customer service is phenomenal! They were super helpful and making sure my bike was good to go. Offered me water while I waited outside. Highly recommend this business!!!!
This is a fabulous dedicated Kids Shop that is part of the MUCH larger Belmont Wheelworks just around the corner (100’ away).Excellent staff, assortment, expertise.
Great place to buy a kids bike! I bought a bicycle for my boy from here. The staff was super kind and helped me very well. Sure, a cheaper bike could be available somewhere else, but this place was worth every penny spending here. Once my boy outgrows his 24 inches bike, we will be back to buy a full size bike.
I’ve been having trouble getting a comfortable ride on my bike. I actually walked into wheelworks too, accidentally, thinking it was a different shop. Dave a manager asked me what the issues were with my bike, I’m in my sixties, and I told him after many adjustments and different seats I’m still not comfortable riding any distance. He suggested I talk to the owner Dennis AND BOY am I GLAD I did. Dennis quite quickly solved my problem. He did so for a fraction of what other bike shops were telling me I needed to spend on measurement analysis, seats etc. Both Dave and Dennis were exceptionally kind and caring listeners to all my complaints! Thank you both for your kind and expert service.
Wonderful customer service. Andrew was patient and informative with my boys. Much appreciated .
Thank you, Wheelworks Too, for your kind, gentle approach to kids. We really appreciated it!
