Unprofessional and rude, I can see why their rating is tanking. Claimed to have stopped by house for repair and claimed to have knocked on our door. We were home the whole time and heard no one. So then a $55 charge is applied to come again, which wasn’t told to us originally. When I call to dispute this, I’m greeted with rudeness and claims I was called multiple times that day ( I wasn’t ), then the owner proceeds to get in a shouting match with me. I advise anyone, especially military personnel, not to frequent this place. It’s cheap and tacky, like the owner.

They are helpful. Depending on what you need the selection is limited. But they let you know when they are getting more in. Took about 5 minutes I had paid, signed, and had a delivery time and date.

He now won’t stand by that and even had the nerve to state he won’t be doing any of our service for our appliances now. I wouldn’t trust a thing this guy says. Does not stand by his word!

My daughter recently purchased a washer from this business. The washer has not worked correctly since the day she got it. They have come out to diagnose the problem but never are able to offer any solutions. The washer is still under warranty but the owner of this business refuses to honor the warranty. He’s very rude and unprofessional. It’s a shame that we have to hire an attorney to get him to do the right thing. I see several other reviews stating he does not care about his customers, is rude and extremely unprofessional. Please think twice before purchasing from this business

Its a used appliance store. If you want brand new, buy brand new. If you want reliable used merchandise in great shape for a great price, this is the place to purchase from.I do however suggest spending a few bucks for the extended warranty. This is used merchandise after all.I had a pleasant experience and while yes, my first washer went out rather soon, I had the warranty and the staff took very good care of meI will purchase from them again.

I recently purchased a stove and refrigerator from this business. This is my 3rd purchase from them. I have never had any trouble in the past. However, when Midwest Used Appliance delivered the stove and fridge, my stove was missing ignition/light cap covers (it is a gas stove) and was missing 4 knobs to turn on the eyelets. I called the owner-Dale, he had the ignition cap covers delivered to my house, however, when I called to ask about my missing knobs (he supposedly ordered) he was rude, standoffish and hung up on me! This is beyond unacceptable after all the money I have spent with his business through the years.

This place tries to rob you. I asked them to come out to look at my oven and they wanted to either charge me $500 for the repair or just 500 for a new oven. I ended up getting it fixed by someone else for $30. I will never use this place again! And I’m glad I didn’t fall for it…

Did business with them twice. Very shady and non professional. The first time the washer was completely broken and the second was not useful at all. We talked to a guy named Dale who was extremely rude and disrespectful. He had blocked my mothers phone because it was known the business was bad and so we had to use my number because it was unknown to him. He was hateful and rude towards her. Never again. Very shady and an untrustworthy business.As an add on, I was reading other reviews from people and the owners responses. You can just tell he is horrible!! Very rude, especially to women. You would think as a business owner with this many bad reviews, you are not meant to be a business owner. Once again, I really hope no one does business with them again. Terrible terrible place.

At first they seemed like a great place but when it came to needing service/repairs I would get hung up on are no answer to the point where I was having to have my boyfriend call from his phone letting them speak to a male. I would say when they did come out to fix what needed to be fixed it got done but I wouldnt buy from them again. I bought a washer and dryer. Dryer was used it stop working they valued my warranty and replaced the part it failed so they needed to come back out this is one of the times I couldnt get them to come out and had to have my boyfriend call. I then bought a fridge from them used and eventually I needed to call them for the ice maker not working they valued the warranty but once again I had no voice. The last time the dryer motor needed replaced. I got hung up on and no call back just to once again have my boyfriend call to get things done and told it was my phone yet this has happen every time I called to get service. As a women I feel this is unfair treatment. I try to always give the best reviews so Im giving my honest opinion about them.

Ive probably bought 50 appliances from here over the years and Dale (the owner) absolutely couldnt care less if he loses your business. Ive never haggled on price and I even do the hauling and replacement myself half the time (saving him time and money). After selling me a refrigerator that didnt work recently and letting him know that, youd think a decent business owner would show some customer service and immediately offer to make good on it. Instead hell tell you youre lying and to go somewhere else if you dont like it. If hell do that to someone that has bought 50 appliances off of him, hell do it to any new customer coming in there for the first time. Just look at his defensive and combative replies to other critical reviews for a preview of what youll experience if you have any problems with an appliance you bought from here.

I purchased a French Door Refrigerator from Midwest around June or July 2020. In December the fridge froze and the fan was making a grinding noise. We were still within our 6 month warranty and they sent a repair man out to take a look. He was here for about 30 mins said it might be the compressor but then said he couldnt find anything wrong with the fridge. For the last week our fridge is freezing again and the fan is grinding, were not even sure if its moving. We called to have someone come look at it because it was the same problem we reported under warranty but they told us they would have to charge us to come back out. Not sure how we make lemonade out of this lemon.

They’re soo bomb! I was Leary getting a used washer and dryer but I have several family members that’s come to them so I took a chance and soo happy I did! I purchased a used front loader washer and dryer. They delivered it and installed it with no problem! Had it for almost a year when the washer stopped spinning and even then they didn’t give me any type of hassle on getting it repaired! I missed two scheduled appointments and he still was very kind on my availability when it came to rescheduling! They maintenance guy came had it fixed in less than 30 min! Will always buy from them!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We went to this store to buy a refrigerator. I told him the only 2 factors we wanted were an ice maker and water connection. First the refrigerator that was delivered wasn’t the one we picked out in the shop. When I called to inquire about it he simple said “I thought you’d like that one better.” The fridge that was delivered does not have a working ice maker. The store says they will order one. 2 months later and multiple phone calls to the shop the owner says this particular model isn’t even made anymore and any ice tray/maker will have to be specially made. What?! He tried to claim he didn’t have a record of our purchase at first! Will not be spending our money there anymore.

Got a nice washer for 100$, lasted over 3 years and came with a 6 month warranty. When I did finally have a problem, it was cheap but I chose to just buy another. They also remove the old washer free!😊

So disappointed with my washer and the customer service..I bought a Washer here and I’ve had it for about a year.. The salesman bragged about the washer when i first bought it. First the tray breaks within a few weeks, but they replaced it. Great!! Now it’ has stopped working completely. I went And explained to them the problem/code and asked could it be fixed or could i buy a different one at a discounted rate .. I was told The motor is out on the washer that I’ve had only for a year.. I understand that these are used appliances but that doesn’t mean sale people junk.. He was very rude and wouldn’t work anything out with me .. He barely wanted to hear what i had to say .. I was willing to purchase another washer.. He could have took 20 or even 10 dollars off, really anything. I wasn’t asking for anything free!!!!!!! But to blatantly tell me no, with no apology, or anything Is horrible and unprofessional. Hi i purchased a washer and dryer from this company. When the worker set up the dryer and plugged it in I noticed it was making a loud sound. It was because it had a dent in the side of it. I asked the owner to replace my dryer because that is not what I paid for. He told me he wouldnt replace just because it had a dent in it. So the worker popped the dent out. The dryer sounded better. I called the owner and said to him if I have to move the for any reason I would risk pushing in the dent. He still refused to replace it. Well that very thing happened my landlord was over doing some work in my laundry room and had to move the dryer. Now its making a loud noise and Im stll under WARRANTY and he told me they want come and pop the dent back out. I told him thats not fair because if u wouldnt have sold me a dryer with a dent in it that wouldnt have happened. Please examine your appliances for u purchase it even if u have to have them to pull it from the wall.

***STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE***I have had my washer barely 3 months and it was leaking internally and we hadnt noticed. When we did, I called for them to come out and had to wait 2 weeks before anyone could. The tech comes on a Monday and says he cant fix it and well be contacted in a couple days to get a new one brought out. Wednesday rolls around and no word so I call. The guy that answered had no clue about what I was talking about and he has to contact the head guy whos out of town. He takes my phone number and I dont hear back. Wednesday was a repeat of Thursday, no answers about anything and no one knows anything. Finally Friday, after I called a few times throughout the day. The guy says I have to wait until Monday for the head guy to return to know anything. So Ive been without washer now for 3 weeks. I was told that I will not be reimbursed for having to go to the laundry mat and theres nothing they can do. They treat you like crap. POOR SERVICE AND APPLIANCES

After scouring online yard sale pages for a good deal, we finally popped into here to look at washer/dryer prices. Walked out with a set for $200, which included delivery, set up, and a six month warranty. The delivery guys were very nice and efficient. Even tested them to make sure they were running properly before they left. Immediately did about five loads of laundry since we were a little backlogged. Go check them out if you need an appliance!

Ive bought from this place twice now. I purchased a king size mattress about a year ago and most recently I purchased a fridge. Both times everything was smooth sailing. Delivery folks on time and courteous.Had a small issue with my fridge that turned out to be my own ignorance but Dale had a tech out the day I called to show me what I did wrong and since then it works like a champ.Great business and appliances.10/10 would recommend and will be buying from them in the future as well.

My dryer vent was clogged. I came in to buy a new dryer and Dale told me to check the vent. Dryer is amazing now. Dale is honest and didn’t sell me a dryer when I didn’t need it. That kind of honesty is rare and thus I will always be a customer.

I bought a side by side refrigerator the freezer did not work. The repair man came out, and worked on it. The repair man told us to put a cup of water in the freezer,and it did freeze. We put food in the freezer it worked. Last night went to get something out of the freezer, and all of the food had thawed out. I attempted to call Midwest all day, and didn’t get to speak to anyone. This was the second time that we had to toss food. I guess I’ll have to call someone else in to fix this refrigerator. After speaking with the owner I was sent out a new refrigerator freezer and it works good

First of all i would like to thank Dale for his professionalism . I knew going in that l was buying a reconditioned appliance in working condition .i felt i was getting a good value. Unfortunately the appliance we chose didnt work out we had problems from day one. I called Dale and he advised me on a procedure that we hoped to rectify the problem it didnt. Dales technician came out and performed some procedures to no avail. Dale advised his tect to tell us to come back in and chose another appliance of comparable value. There was none in the inventory at the time.He wanted to get us an refrigerator and ask us to allow him a week hoping something would come in to no luck which he offered us a refund . I would not hesitate to shop at his establishment again or recommend it to someone .Thanks to Dale his tect and delivery staff

My wash machine just died and the next day I went shopping all over. Walked into this place and got a good as new large capacity washer for a steal! Dale was very helpful in my choice. The machine delivered 1/2 hour after I bought it and old one hauled off like magic. I have done two huge loads of laundry and worked perfectly! They have 6 month warranty and for 2 years will come out and diagnose problem for free and fix for as cheap as possible if I want- not that I think it will breakdown but good to know if it does. I will never by new again. I cant believe their selection. Im just thrilled with how little I spent for such a great product

During repair of my refrigerator the plastic fascia around the icemaker was broken by the repairer and owner refuses to repair although the repair tech agreed he would come back to take care of it. The cost of this fascia could not be very expensive but they will not agree to rectify the matter. I hope this does not end up in court.Answer this question? Did you talk to the repair technician LeRoy about this or are you just relying on your telepathic vision? You are quick to respond with no facts. YOUR TECH BROKE IT, ADMITTED TO IT, BUT YOU AS THE OWNER REFUSE TO RECTIFY THE MATTER. Furthermore, if you picked up the phone once in a while somebody may be able call with their concerns. Brought a refrigerator from them and the only part that would get cold is freezer we called them because we did get a warranty on it they came out and adjusted the temperature and told us we had it to low our food kept going bad and they stop answering the phn..I would never ever use these ppl again they suck

Terrible customer service, unreliable, doesn’t communicate, and makes promises they can’t keep. The place down the street on 161 is MUCH BETTER. Ordered a part for us and lost it or “it was on the delivery truck out delivering appliances”, told us after 6 weeks we could have it at no cost for the inconvenience. When we went to pick it up and now he claims he sent it back since he hadn’t heard from us.... keep in mind this is a used appliance and repair store.... so 1 phone call after us going in every weekend for 6-8 weeks and him not being able to locate the part he sent it back, because he in good faith ordered it for us with “his” money and we never showed up to pick it up so he wanted his money back. Thank God we didn’t pay for the order because clearly they can’t keep track of orders so who knows if they ever actually had it. This place is a joke.

When questioned why its not fixed, the response was I dont work for you, buy the part yourself and put it in. Then my son was verbally abused over the phone and then threatened. Very rude and disrespectful. So save yourself the trip and take your money elsewhere. He will NEVER get the part, my ice maker will never be fixed.

Definitely a scammer. They talk to you as if you’re the problem. I’m not going to get on here and say we’ve been the happiest or nicest customers because we haven’t but, you’d be upset too if you’re were in our position. We bought a washer and dryer set back in August. When we got the set, the dryer did not get hot (needed a heating element) and the washer leaked. Now I’m no repairman BUT common sense to me says when a customer calls saying the dryer doesn’t get hot that maybe your should have a heating element on hand to be safe—well they didn’t, so the tech came out and said they have to order the part (now two weeks of no dryer); they fixed the dryer but said that they found no leak in the washer. The dryer was fixed and I thought we were done with the company but no. The washer had of course stopped leaking but recently it leaked very badly. We called and the employee said “Well we’ve checked for a leak before and found nothing. If we come out and can’t find anything you have to pay a service charge of $55”. The warranty says if you don’t pay the service charge you void the warranty—luckily they found the source of the leak. Of course, they didn’t have the part so they had to order it-we had to call them to follow up as they didn’t call us. We waited a week for them to come out. When he left i tried to start a load but the washer now displays an error. The lid locks up and cycle will not finish. We called and out calls were ignored and unanswered. Finally i got ahold of someone and once i said my name and address the employee let out a deep breath as if I was inconveniencing him. I explained the issue only for them to say they can’t get anyone out here until after the Christmas. The problem is that the employee said “it was working fine when he left”, well guess what—it doesn’t work now. This will now be 3 weeks of not having a washer. All the negative reviews are true. When you start asking questions about replacements or any other solution that benefits you (the customer), they change and a switch goes off! They get upset and more unprofessional. I’ve looked through the reviews the good and the bad and the main issue i have is that some good reviews are from fake pages and some are from real pages. But the main thing that caught my eye is that there are reviews from employees acting as though they are customers saying they’ll be going back and they have great service. These good reviews may be nice and all but the bad reviews matter more because not all of these people are lying on this company. Rude, unprofessional, and con-artist are the things that stand out about this company the most.

Very rude sales person at this place.I had call this appliance repair center for my refrigerator as it wasnt cooling off.Technician came out and told me that it would cost about $200 with parts and labor. I told him never mind as I could buy a used one for that price. He agreed.He asked me for $35 which I said I would either mail a check or I can go to an ATM and give them the cash. He called the office and they said no so I called him and this guy was extremely rude to me and told me that he would call the police. I said go ahead call the police and then he started cursing at me and hung up the phone on me.After this I went straight to the ATM and took out $35 and then drove to his shop and he refused to take it from me and started cursing again.I was shocked by his behavior. I told him that we are a established business in the area I have never come across such a company who would threaten to call the police and curse at the same time.I would caution everyone reading to be very careful when dealing with this company.So, after reading the response, I had a few things to add.Its very bazaare that I went all the way to your store with the money (cash) and you refused to take it and told me to leave the premises.
