Wonderful experience! I had been calling all over town to see who had time to do a kind of complicated stereo, auto-start, and reverse cam and dash cam install and setup. All of the shops were 1-2 weeks out but Car Stereo City said they would work on it and get it done in a few days over the weekend since I had to leave town with the truck in a week. I got the truck back 2 days later and it looked great. They even did a few uncharged upgrades to make my driving experience amazing! Cant give this crew enough respect. They know what theyre doing and were priced appropriately. Thanks guys and I will be back!

Go elsewhere. Sought a quote for a new stereo unit but the big guy apparently in charge, who wasn’t wearing a mask, was argumentative & clearly undervalues customers. Very Poor Attitude.

I purchased a receiver and 4 speakers for an old pickup truck. The price was roughly 25% more than online or local big box stores, but they could install in 2 days. Other stores where backlogged, some for weeks. This should have been my warning.I dropped off my truck the night before and picked it back up almost exactly 24 hours later. The new system sounded good in the parking lot. When I got to speed on the freeway there was tons of noise from the truck ceiling, from behind the dash, and the flimsy trim piece in front of the receiver came off and fell to the floor. The extra mic cord had been shoved up in the truck ceiling and was vibrating against the metal roof. In their install they had broken a clip on my truck’s driver side A-pillar trim. The Antenna and other cords behind the receiver where completely hanging loose and the clip on the back of the stereo had not clicked in causing static as the truck drove down the road. Even stock wires had been removed from their normal location or had zip ties clipped. Thankfully, YouTube has many very good videos about self-installing and after spending the remaining evening properly managing, taping and routing the cables, buying a cheap solder and heat gun and properly soldering and wrapping the wire harness I have a good system. I was able to super glue my A-Pillar clip back on and it seems to be holding.Finally, I was not warned they would have to modify my trucks sub-dash to make the receiver fit and I would no longer be able to install my old stereo system if I wanted to.With the poor install and pricing I actually feel ripped off! Something I haven’t felt in years!Stay away!

Stop throwing bad comments at the guy that runs the place. He’s real with you and tells you straight up what he’s giving you (no sugar coating) They gave me real advice for what I asked for within my budget. He even shows you the system after you get it installed to satisfy your requests. I wouldn’t listen to the negative reviews because all of them are people who don’t like the fact that you “pay for what you get.” I went in for a quote and he gave me my options within my budget. I was super satisfied with the pricing. They were cheaper than any other place that I had asked for a quote with and the sound is amazing. They take care of you and make you feel comfortable instead of making you feel like they’re “just salesman.” I would and am going back to this place 100%. They are AMAZING!

Have gone through 2 different sets of LED headlight installations over the course of about 4 years with these guys and at best Ive gotten 18 months out of each set before they failed; even after asking for their best option. For the second set I wanted daytime running lights installed and the big guy people keep mentioning in all the other reviews said Id need a complex custom mount and basically told me to do my own research and theyd install whatever I wanted - problem is Im not an expert in automotive lighting and if your business advertises that LED lights are a speciality, then Id expect expert level service. Then I happened to stop by again for a follow up question and talked to a different guy who said no problem, we can wire up your fog lights to turn on automatically as daytime running lights., which was the obvious and easiest solution that everyone working Sales in a place like this should know. Specifically asked for their best quality lights and even the second install started flaking out way too soon - about 18 months for $300 LED headlights. Have since found another place that took the time to explain to me the best options and explained why their line of HID lights are miles better than that cheap, low quality Made in China stuff these guys use. If you want low cost, low quality gear on a budget, then this is your place. If you want quality hardware and knowledgeable staff and support, find another place.

Worst customer service Ive experienced all year, was told he didnt want to wasted his time explaining anything, tried to overcharge me from my original quote, and before i left said id be driving a brick in 4 months... interesting. After the install my car had issues starting, thats new... nope.👎

Got a really expensive install and they mounted my amp so you can see it, bad move got my car broken into. They put in speakers without asking me what I wanted. Dude told me I was getting a deal and after I researched it, he charged me full price. Now my speakers sound like trash in my car. Im not happy, I get way better service at the Portland 82nd location. Dont let them pull a fast one on you and check your receipts they like to over charge

I had a simple CD deck installed a couple months ago. Recently the battery died and the auto shop said it looked like it had been killed by a short somewhere in the car. Since the deck display was flickering, I took it in for them to look at. What a mistake. The large gentleman that was running the shop was unbelievably rude. He refused to wear a mask and told me I could get out of my truck if it made me uncomfortable. Nobody in the shop was wearing a mask. They tried everything under the sun to blame the problem on me. I will never go there again.

Rude customer service, the gentlemen was not helpful at all with the service I needed.I’ve been there a few times and for the most part they are exceptional service. This person In Particular is always been rude not just with me but with other customers. Rude and sarcasm is not what we went there for, I’m was told and warned about that gentlemen from friends and family who been there and unfortunately I had to interact with him.I’d recommend going but maybe when he’s not there. Also I don’t want to post his name, that would be rude..

These guys are true professionals. Sergio and Tim were fantastic from customer service to installation. They installed a touch screen deck in my Tacoma that looks like it came off the factory floor!!! All at a price MUCH lower than the big box stores will charge.

Not sure what all the one star reviews are all about. The whole experience was top notch. He explained everything in detail, told us what he thought we needed, we came to an agreement, and left the Jeep there to get the install, ready to pick up the next morning. We had originally also wanted new front speakers, but he called us and said it wasnt necessary, and that the speakers we had were in top notch condition. He didnt have to do that, and couldve made the sale and extra scratch for the install. Thats honesty, thats huge with us. We will be repeat customers

At first I thought they were cool, thought he gave me a good deal.after getting home I realized that the stereo I bought wasnt what I really wanted.so the next day I went back in to return it.this other guy told me it was in store credit only..I just wanted my money back .got the run around said had to.call the guy who sold it to me and ask him what he wants to do.store credit or refund.hmmm took two days to finally get it put back on my card and now I gotta wait 2 to 3 days for it to. Super fast and professional install of my new stereo. They didnt try to upsell their product, and gave us a tutorial of the features at the end.

With the level of work they put in, the customer should be earning the salary because they are only interested in putting in the minimum amount of work. If you see a 350 lb man in there, report him and get him fired. Has the benefit of being physically repulsing and having the customer do all the work for him.

This shop is the best. They hooked me up with very nice equipment for a great price, provided accurate and honest information, and even gave me some wires to help me wire it up. They had a really good deal on pheonix gold stuff and it shakes the ground. They also carry very high quality cables down to huge sizes at a good price, by the foot or in a kit. Staff is very kind and knowledgeable every time I come in.

These guys are great. They installed a navigation unit in my smart car that I had ordered online for a great price. They charged me less than best buy to install it. They worked fast on it and had it done way sooner than they told me it was going to.I also recently took my porsche 911 there cause the radio stopped working and I needed to pull the stereo out to check the fuse on the back of it. It takes a special tool to get the radio out and I was hoping they had it. The owner was cool about it and let me borrow the tool. Turned out it was the fuse and they gave me a fuse as well. Radio is working again and they didnt even charge me anything.These guys are awesome and I would recommend them to any one looking for audio upgrades or repairs.

I was really impressed with my first job I just had done here. It was a difficult install but they got it done in one day.The owner is no-nonsense and will tell you like it is. Not your normal salesman who just tells you what you want to hear. But Im okay with that. They did a fantastic job on the install. So no complaints.

Very professional place just had a remote start installed in my mom’s new rav4 and she loves it. Decided to go back and get a new radio in my our winter car installed, so we could have a backup camera and apple car play. Love how it integrates my iPhone to the car. Overall both installations where done nicely and I have no issues. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have their vehicles upgraded.

Third stereo Ive had installed here. They are quick (got right in), skilled and friendly.

I went in needing a new radio for my older VW Beetle. This is a rather tricky installation, as evident by the last people not doing it right creating issues communicating with the onboard computer. The guys here were not only knowledgeable as to which units could be placed in a Beetle, but also how to install t correctly. It works like a dream and has not hindered communication with the car at all. These guys are great! Highly recommend. (Also the whole thing was very affordable)

Rude and Dont even have the correct tools for the job!!!My Husband was looking to have the stock stereo replaced in his older but nicer Ford truck BUT we wanted to make sure they had the correct tool for removing the stock unit so when we trade it for a new one we can switch out the new one and put the stock one back in.He asked a LARGER guy installer if they had one of those tools and was rudely told NO but they sell them down the street at auto-zone. You can go buy one there.It was like a scene in pretty woman because he ended up going to Best Buy of all places and spent $$$ on a new stereo, speakers and even a back up cam!! RUDE installer cost them and Ive told EVERYONE i know.

Theyre very knowledgeable about the products that are available, not just the ones they carry. I had a new pioneer multifunction receiver installed along with a back-up camera. They charged more than a fair price, and were extremely helpful and courteous. This is the second time Ive used them, and there will definitely be a third!

I had already bought a new Navigation system and backup light. I came into Car Stereo City to have them replace my old system. Even on a busy day they were able to take care of my installation on that day. Sergio spent time with me going over my new system to help me get acquainted with it. They are knowledgeable and good at what they do.

They always give you a good deal. Ive took 3 cars there and they hooked me up all 3 times.

They over charge. You can find the same hid lights on the Internet for way cheaper and install them yourself. Also if you want a stereo go to car toys. They have way better customer service. Stay away from this place. If I could give them a zero I would.

Good deal and a clean install. Just wondering why your shady installers were rifling through my glove box. I understand the possible need to move things for the install, but documents that were in envelopes were pulled out!! Really guys? Have a Civic that needs a full system installed . Back again and will always be back no matter what. I never look online for reviews. I know where this guys are at and they have always taken care of me. Always gone above and beyond. I dont disagree with peoples opinions but if you have a bad experience talk to the Big man in charge. He makes it right. Nobody is perfect but they sure as hell know what they are doing. NO TOOLS, please. The main tech has more tools than most people I know that work in the automotive industry. 5 star isnt enough. Doesnt matter what I need my first stop is always Car Stereo City. These guys know somebody and are always straight shooters.

Been going there for years. Got a complete high end install in my truck and 13 years later it is still working perfect! Dont believe the poor reviews...this place takes care of you! Example: I had a speaker that was giving intermittent sound...took it to them and they fixed it for free while I waited...no appointment...just jumped on it and fixed it. Great service & GREAT prices! Only one suggestion: I just wish they had more of their high end gear hooked up so we could hear it. After all, thats the gear you need to hear because its for the discriminating audiophiles.

I should have read the reviews before I ever went into this place. I have had nothing but issues with my car since getting a stereo and car alarm done here. Sergio is condescending and rude, blames customer when things go wrong due to short cuts and cutting corners on their end. I personally think they do it wrong from the start so you have to come back to them to get it fixed again and again spending more money each time. They cut into my into the line that connects my heat and ac to power the deck and my heat and ac have gone out three times (2 other customer complaints for this same issue online).

Ive had a few installs done here, from a simple keyless entry unit to a complete sound system with a head unit, amp, speakers, etc... and have ALWAYS been given great service and fair pricing. I send everyone who asks here.

I have no idea how this place stay in business. The guy is a professional jack a**. He is very rude and does not know what respect mean. He tried to make me feel stupid by telling me that I installed the LED bulb upside down in my motorcycle headlight and that is why I have a black spot on the road and could not see 8 feet ahead of me first of all, how do you install a SQUARE bulb with LED on all 4 sides upside down!? I asked the guy for legit answer, and could not come up with a legit answer. My whole experience is nothing but bad. He wont give my money back and instead I just ended up getting a sub-woofer and a box. I will never come back to this place. Take you business somewhere else.

I bought the items off of Amazon and I guess the stereo didnt work. They looked at us like we were idiots and that we were wasting their time. We told them to go ahead and put in one of their stereo since they had the whole thing pulled out. When doing the installation I guess they installed it wrong. Because the next day we went to drive it are AC and heater didnt work, also are blinker lights no longer worked. We went in there than Hicks day to have them check it out and fix what was wrong, they said it wasnt their fault. They told us our AC, heater, and blinkers must have not worked before we took it there. Of course they were! It was hot outside and I would have definitely gotten pulled over living in Beaverton without using a turn signal.This place is horrible! They treated us rude and pretty much belittled my boyfriend and I. They dont seem to care about customer service. Also when we came back to get the radio situation fixed they charged us $$ when it was their fault that the AC, heater, and blinker light no longer works.The manager was a big guy kind of look like he was and Ill endure probably in his late thirties. The installation guy was a skinny dude with a man bun that never seem to smile.

I was going to hook up my stereo myself but I decided to have it done professionally so I went here. They cut the wire to my heat and defrost to tap into a power source for the radio and didnt hook the wire back up to the heater and defrost . I could barely drive my car anymore in winter because I couldnt see because they cut my defrost. They barely tape the wires together and they came undone and shorted my $400 Stereo. Never go here. Connecting wires is a easy job and they completely failed very unprofessional I could have done a better job myself. They destroyed my car and my radio. If you dont want your stuff destroyed please go somewhere else.

I would NOT recommend The Aloah location. They installed subs and amp into my new Jeep Wrangler and now my Jeep speakers have a engine noise that has a higher pitch when I exillarate and also my bass faults out after about 30 minutes of driving.I took it back in and they looked at it and told me they could not do anything about it and said the equipment they installed had nothing wrong with it. Witch I argued that I get that but now there’s something wrong with my speakers that had no pre existing issue before they installed the subs and amp. He argued with me very unprofessionaly and tried to make me sound dumb and I told him I think this was horrible customer service if he thinks they did nothing wrong and he just gave me my keys back and said “we’re done” and told me to leave. so I did and will not be returning. I hope that nobody does neither.

Poor customer service. Called them the previous day to inform them Id be there when they opened at 9:00 AM to drop my car off to have a stereo installed, and would be on a tight schedule. Showed up the next day, only to have to wait for them to show fifteen minutes late, acting indifferently. I couldnt wait around any longer, and had to leave. They lost a customer, but they probably dont even care.
