Fortunate to find this place. Was searching for a hard to find tire for my Mercedes SL550. Bought the only one I could find (needed 2) in Merritt Island FL the day I was to leave on my cross-country trip. Called tire shops in every city I passed through, looking to replace the other front tire. Called this shop...they had exactly what I needed, and got me on my way in a very reasonable time. My sincere thanks to Robert at the CS counter!
Very glad I brought the car here. Rachel knew exactly what the problem was and did a great job fixing it. Also appreciate the other folks who work there -- they told me what to expect/what they were doing, and kept me informed on the progress. Ill definitely go there for maintenance and if other work is needed in the future.
I wish I could leave zero stars. I dropped my car off at 9 am for a tire rotation. I called to checked the status at 5 pm and was told that they forgot about me and it would be ready at 6pm. Im leaving this review at 6:10 because I arrived and my car hasnt been moved from the place they asked me to park. Then lied and said it was done.

George doesnt know how to work the computer system and will lie anytime you call him out on a mistake. Everytime I went there was a problem. Forgetting to do all that I requested for my vehicle and not taking a second look at my vehicle after they didnt fix it correctly!! At 70,000 miles my vehicles engine overheated and damaged the engine shortly after getting a oil change and complete oil inspection 🤔 im convinced they didnt do something right and refused to take the blame and repair it!!!
Great service but a lil pricey
Firestone has the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. They are on the ball when your buying the tires, but when you want them rotated and balanced they Castle you with can you leave it with us overnite? Or your truck is too big for my lift. Discount used 4 floor jacks and rotated my tires for free when I explained my situation. Never will I use Firestone complete auto care again.

9 hours for an oil change.
Consistently terrible service. Was a loyal customer, but will be no longer. Called to ask for the services I needed completed and asked how long the wait would be. Was told they could have the services completed within 2 hours. I arrived 10 minutes later and they tell me it will not be ready until 5PM (7 hours later). This is not the first time they have done this.

Called yesterday for an appointment today, early drop off and done by 4. When I got there today I was told my vehicle couldnt be done by 4 and that I didnt really have an appointment or something. They also cant seem to find the record of the lifetime alignment I had purchased for this vehicle.Tomorrow may be my last time coming to firestone.
After discovering that I had a flat while traveling into Baton Rouge from 4 hours away for a one day meeting, I discovered that i had a flat. I found Firestone on Florida and they were the nicest, most professional, timely I have ever witnessed. I was able to leave my car, go to me meeting, and it was complete when I got out of my meeting. I cant brag on this crew enough! And they smiled the whole time while delivering incredible service.

The customer service is bad. Buyer beware do not buy an interstate battery from Firestone. The batteries doesnt last and you pay alot of money for a trashy battery.Nov 15, 2019I also bought an Interstate battery for my moms vehicle. The battery would not start and its only been a year in a half - on a 5 year battery. George told her to come back tomorrow. My mom was there a 5 pm. The store closes at six oclock. The customer service at this location is poor.On another occasion when I needed to have stubs replaced on my tires that the mechanics there broke but didnt tell me. George kept putting me off for months. I finally got them replaced after three months of going to Firestone downtown only to be told that it could not be done and that I would have to come back another time.I bought an Interstate battery in February 2017 from the Firestone in downtown Baton Rouge, LA. I was told that it was a five year battery. I am having problems with the battery starting. I was told two different lies from two different employee at two different locations.I went to the Firestone in Cortana only to be told that I had no warranty. So, I went downtown to inquire about the same battery that I just being told were no warranty. I paid $166 for an interstate battery back in early 2017.The employee at the store in Cortana was trying to sale me a new battery the store downtown said 120 pro rate.
Excellent place. Matt is genuinely helpful and patient in explaining what needs to be done. no pushy upselling at all. during my visit I overheard him explaining to another customer how they messed something up and he ordered the part and will fix it at zero cost since it was their fault. I can tell the customer was pleasantly surprised. not many places will admit it if they screw something up let alone take responsibility and fix it for free. the only place I will go in baton rouge.
These guys are smart, honest, and fair; they do excellent work in a timely fashion. I grew up getting my cars serviced down in the inner city Barrios of Metropolitan New Jerseys inner cities where whether or not you were satisfied with the work done hinged on how much smack your tech shot in his arm that morning...whether or not you got all 4 tires back depended on if he could pay for the smack, to begin with, and sometimes you got your car back with a passenger in the trunk who wasnt breathing and didnt look so good anymore. Get the picture?
I went in hoping they had time to do an oil change but expecting to be told is have to wait hours. Instead, they said they could do it right away. From start to finish, it was less than 20 minutes. The waiting area was roomy and clean. It was much nicer than most of the 5 minute oil change places Ive used. I was completely impressed with the service, the cleanliness and the efficiency of which they helped me.I would highly recommend and will certainly be back.
I have used this location a few times for oil changes and tire rotations. Each visit has been excellent. A couple of times l left and went back to work and they called when the car was finished as promised.Today I visited because Im in the process of moving to another state and just wanted my tires checked before an 1,100 mile drive. Didnt need any other services (oil change, etc). George the attendant working the desk personally checked my tires and took me out to my car when finished to show me a nick on the side of one tire. I explained I will be trading the car once I move for a vehicle that will be better for winter climate. He didnt try to scare me or push a tire on me and checked my spare as well to make sure Im all set. He of course could make no promise about the nick but did want to make sure I knew in case. I decided to forego buying a tire and then asked how much. He told me nothing. He didnt charge me anything. And wouldnt accept a tip.My payment is to say how great the service has always been at this location and I highly recommend. Thank you George - you are a kind person. And Im appreciative.
I absolutely love the service here! Matt especially is always the most helpful and genuine! The technicians I saw greeted me and were very friendly as well! They explained my invoice to me piece by piece so I could understand what everything was. They really made me feel less ignorant and more a part of the process of fixing my vehicles than most places do! I will always come back here so long as live in BR! 100% recommend
Excellent and professional service, at a great price. The manager was extremely nice, and there was no up-selling. Before contacting Firestone I tried calling several other tire shops in Baton Rouge, all of which were rude, and werent able to help me. Id certainly go back.
I have the lifetime alignment/rotation plan from these guys for my Hellcat. Had to order special Pirellis but took the car here post-install for an alignment. Took a lot of professionalism for the technician not to gun it during the diagnostic ride as Ive had happen to me before. I know because I was watching him up and down the road. Great alignment and took the time to equalize my tire pressures to spec!

Made an appointment online specifically because Im on an extremely tight work schedule. Desperately needing to address issues with my car, I skipped eating a lunch and rearranged meetings so I could get this taken care of. I arrived and they didnt have my appointment. The gentleman in the reception area told me yea, when you make an appointment online, it doesnt actually come through until the next day. So, apparently, when you make an appointment for 3:30 on monday its ACTUALLY for an appointment on Tuesday? B******t. Then he said he can get me in at 6:00pm before quickly adding we close at 6:00.Beyond livid. I was needing new tires in addition to engine work. Going somewhere else now.
I love service just wish they could have more workers on duty. Help out customers vehicles. I wanted a oil change only had two men on duty with over 10 cars working on.
Matt and the crew at Firestone helped me out tremendously when I had a flat tire blocks away. This is a great option downtown. They went above and beyond for me, and I would recommend them to anyone that needs help in the downtown area.

I dont know who gives these guys a good rating but I can tell you, we have brought our cars here a few times. Once they kept it for a week for an AC problem and then proceeded to tell us a week later it was a dealer part. Amazing, it took you a week to figure that out. Then a week later the car overheated, most likely from their crap service. I can not recommend this place at all.

I went into this Firestone about 4 months ago and was treated great. So I decided to give them some more business. I needed an oil change and tire rotation so I made an appointment. They accepted my appt. and I showed up at the designated time. They told me that it would be about 2 hours, there are several people in front of me. Keep in mind that I did not expect them to take anyone off the rack for me. But if there are people who just showed up without an appt., I felt like I should have been put in front of them. If not, what good is it to make an appt. I told them that I would come back at another time. Ill probably give them another shot because I was treated so well the previous time. Just disappointed.
Biggest issue with them is their markup when they change things out on your car. The brand of brake pads they use are a full 100% markup from the general market price, brands of synthetic oil are 75% markup, and air filters are 127% markup from general market price. If you want to basically get robbed on parts, go to Firestone.
Went for an oil change that took forever. Also never told price beforehand. I could have demanded it but this was a test run to see if I will come back. I wont. Cheaper and faster services available. May as well go to your car dealership if youre going here.

I called a different location, but they werent too sure about getting me done before close of business, which was 7pm. So i looked up other locations and decided to go to the one on Florida Blvd, and im so glad i did.There was only one technician there and the young lady checking everyone in, and they were so sweet, so professional, and very thorough. I went for an oil change, but didnt mention anything about tire rotation and alignment because i have the package, but the young lady did and the tech was able to do it all regardless of being the only one. The young lady even helped him.Great-Great service!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love Mr. George I will follow him to whatever firestone he goes I will never go to Plank Rd again since he left the customer service is terrible they only book the wrk they want and most of the time thats the work that does not take a long time they told me the alignment machine was broke and a gentleman asked after I had been there an hour and he was told yes we can get that done for you. I had never had horrible service period there when Mr. George was there. I trust these people with my car.

Took my car here a few times, never had any issues, and felt that they were not trying to scam me in any way.
First the good: Very nice people. Good clean store. The manager seemed like a great fellow with good family values.The bad: Im really not sure how you screw up a tire repair that bad. You say that you cant find a hole in the tire. Thats fine, except I told you the rim was the problem. Couldve saved half an hour there, but yknow, miscommunication happens. Ok, you say you fixed the rim and everything should be ok with the tire. You say you checked all the other tires and got everything inflated to specs. You kindly offer some discounts and try to sell me 400$ of tires because while the tires are now inspected and supposedly ok, they are old and maybe I should think about replacing them. Thats all fine so far, right?Except that the tires that were supposedly checked, inspected, and corrected all ended up inflated anywhere from 22-42 PSI, no two alike. The valve stem on the repaired tire is somehow slapped back together in such a way that air can no longer be put into the tire. Which is bad when the tire continues to have problems. Now I cant say for sure if its still deflating on its own or if the tech who did all the other great work only inflated it to 22 PSI instead of 32 or 36 PSI in the first place.One other problem... Say you figure out this problem on a weekend. Other firestone stores are open but they will NOT help you. No, for that Firestone guaranteed repairs-done-right-the-first-time BS you have to wait another day or two until this store is open. Because the other firestone stores wont lift a finger to help you with the damaged flat tire caused by this location. So I sure hope you arent like me and figured, hey, its Firestone, theyre all over the place, theyre tire specialists, and theyve got that fixed right the first time guarantee. It wont matter if I just go to this store I happen to be driving by because this is a simple repair and how could a repair garage that has tires as its #1 thing possibly screw up a tire repair so badly you cant actually put any air into your tire, and surely they wouldnt flat out lie to you about what exactly they did for the money they charged you. If they lied about all that other stuff how do you know they did *anything* beyond put your tire back on your car and screw up the valves? Did they actually work on the rim at all? Because right now, today, the only thing I got for my money was a leaking tire that went from bad to totally undriveable since I cant put any air into the tire.If youre a BR local, I bet youve seen those lawyer ads, Dont be a victim twice. Ever since visiting this place I cant help but think of Firestone every time I see a billboard or hear an ad telling me not to be a victim twice.Update: The store did replace the valve stem. Completely different manager and crew. The manager was reluctant but a crew person pressed for the repair and was granted it. They swore they did double check everything this time. Well see. So my score was upped to 2 stars instead of 1.

Attendant came up with a laundry list of reason he couldnt fix my flat---from type of rim, age of tire, type of valve stem etc.However, he said he could sell me a new tire but company policy doesnt allow them to work on tires that are 5 years old. Hey Einstein, depending on how much you drive each year a set of tires can last 5 years.wont be back.
