Really enjoyed my time here! This was technically my second time visiting but my first time doing brunch. It was a last minute decision and I’m so glad I came! The atmosphere is amazing. Wonderful outdoor seating area, great service and phenomenal food. We tried a bit of everything on the menu. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back :) they even had a DJ outdoors. Super cool. Check out their items for sale inside as well. We left with free (empty) wine bottles to take home as decor.

This is a mixed review. The food taste good fresh and seasoned well. I ordered shrimp and grits. Banging but way to pricey for the amount they give you. Also the staff was great to fix the mistake they made in giving me bacon, scrambled eggs and grits when i didnt order that. Commotion may be detriment to this ecclesiastic place. Good food but pay more attention to what customers ask for. I had to go back to wait for something i didnt even order. A fried egg. It was good tho

This is one of my favorite spaces in Baltimore! Its cozy and inviting and smells great :) I like to come for Sunday brunch, usually get the shrimp and grits, but occasionally I will pop in for a coffee and cake/ muffin. I highly recommend the vegan crab cakes; I am not vegan at all lol but it is pretty close to the real thing and is palette pleasing. I can chill and get work done or bump into some of my fellow entrepreneurs and talk business and culture.

First time visit to this Resevoir Hill location! I can certainly say that it was a really nice experience w a friendly diverse crowd. Customer service was great. Young lady behind the counter was very patient with my many questions about the brunch menu and bakery items. Brunch menu was limited, but still a nice selection. Environment was very relaxed n there was a live dj playing music that initially i thought was a little loud for so early, but after a few minutes, it just blended right in! Anyway, ordered the breakfast lasagna (pictured), corn muffin, iced coffee, and a bottled vegan juice. All was very good n quite filling. Wish I couldve tried all of the baked goods, but I could only eat so much so IIll save that for my next visit!

I tried to come here and show love to a black owned and operated business, but every time I come here its so slow three people left out without ordering because they were so slow, also they are always out of this or that but this morning was the worse. I waiting a half hour just for the young lady to tell me again they were out of what I wanted she suggested the spinach quiche...when I got to work and looked in the box I was so upset as to what I had...get it together ladies or the word will spread that you are in a great location with bad food and bad service... I run a leg org. They catered for us my Boss was so upset...we had a pastors round table and they brought bologna sandwiches and a bag of chips... no not cool at all... dont take advantage just because we want to support you...signed very disappointed

I had the biscuits and shrimp cake with grits served with a spicy mayo. The biscuits were phenomenal with bits of melted cheese baked into them and the shrimp cake and sauce were both pretty good. The grits were well made.My coffee and iced coffee were decent but nothing stand out. I did, however, love the to go cup because it had almost a corrugated cardboard exterior eliminating the need for a sleeve. They were out of my friends first two meal choices but this is a small kitchen and can be expected to happen from time to time. They ended up enjoying the spinach pie but unfortunately her last bite had a clump of nutmeg.Overall, it was a nice experience. The shop had a cool vibe and the staff was friendly.

Upon goggling places we decided to eat here joining with our college child to have breakfast, I’m a big supporter of any small business especially my people but my first experience was disappointing. My children my wife and I didn’t enjoy our serving, they wanted to leave upon arrival due to limited options but the environment had me thinking our experience would’ve been rewarding. Spending $177.02 and no satisfaction is depressing but it’s ok . My scrambled tofu was full of turmeric causing bitterness, the lasagna was not what expected, toast no butter etc ...

Dovecote Cafe is a charming spot in Reservoir Hill where both local residents and visitors to the neighborhood converge over fabulous coffee and hip, welcoming atmosphere. Dovecote serves only drip coffee- no lattes or other frilly drinks- but their selection is large and the flavors are rich. The coffee is probably the best I have found in Baltimore.Dovecote is a great place to meet with friends or colleagues, and also a spot where you can get independent work done. However, it is important to note that the cafe is so popular that it is sometimes difficult to find a table. But-- there is plenty of outdoor seating and other patrons are always happy to share their tables! If you are looking for fantastic coffee, inspiring art, an upbeat coffee shop vibe, and diverse group of coffee lovers, Dovecote Cafe is an absolutely necessary place to visit.

Hip cafe to check out in an historic neighborhood. The service is slow, be warned, so to-go coffee isn’t really an option (expect a 10-15 minute wait for a cup of coffee; this is the average rather than the exception). if crowded, only come on a good weather day since seating is limited. Most food is heavy on oil, so choose carefully from the menu. They still have a lot of kinks to work out in terms of their speed and the menu pricing, but the community vibe is good and their hearts are in the right place. Would suggest to them: for to-go food, spare the tin foil and follow what coffee shop chains do. For the coffee, ditch the ‘how much milk’ showcards, it stresses some folks out with too much choice. Let folks pour their own cream, to speed things up. Take out one of the bathrooms to make the space for it. Put a closing mechanism on the front door, and a sturdier door handle. And keep up the great work serving the community with pride and encouraging pride in the community !

However, Dovecote has a happy flavorful medium. The cashier was very nice. The environment was pretty peaceful and I see that theyre a stop for the free traveling community farm; so, youll be able to buy fresh local veggies some days. They also have clear signs that everyone is welcomed in this cafe. They seem to be working on developing the brand more and I hope for the best and continued refinement.
