Highly recommend this store on Fleet Street for its fantastic customer service. I walked in on a weekend without an appointment and being probably annoyingly clueless about which phone I wanted for my upgrade. Jason worked with me for more than an hour to help me compare all of my phone and plan options, and he answered every question I had thoughtfully. Definitely the most attentive, comprehensive and friendly experience I’ve ever had at a phone store; walked out with a new phone that afternoon after a super quick and painless data transfer. I won’t hesitate to go back here for anything else I might need.
I upgraded fromm a 4G Samsung A50 handset to a 5G Samsung A42 handset $399.99 about a week ago. My old phone was having increasing connectivity problems and was not compatible to be used in the 5G platform. With my new phone, I am now losing data connectivity and rarely stay locked on the coveted 5G signal. My employment as a food delivery driver is being negatively impacted by this. I have received on line orders but cant send back confirmations to accept them due to data signal interruption. I believe I could have a defective handset. I have a 30 day window to either trade for same handset or purchase something different (with a $50.00 restock fee) which I would challenge.I always viewed Verizon as the Cadillac of wireless service providers. Ill see if I can remedy this situation.
The service here was amazing! I have been to several Verizon’s and this location has some of the best customer service. Jason went above and beyond and was very patient when helping us.
Waited an hour to get help with my new phone. Retail sales associate didnt even offer to help diagnose the problem and told me my phone was incompatible without even asking what kind of phone I had. Lost an hour of my time to deal with their incompetence.
Despite the negative reviews about this place before me, I had an excellent experience with their staff. They were attentive and experienced, and helped me to troubleshoot an issue that online and phone customer care struggled with. I thought it was great. Though I do dislike the high prices.
Terrific service. Polite, considerate, respectful. Intelligent and well informed.
I was in and out in 15 minutes. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and worked expeditiously to get me taken care of. I had a new phone and needed the SIM card. The took care of everything.
The service was great and I would have given 5 stars if they had the phone I wanted in stock.
After they told me to return equipment there they dont even take it there waited 5 minutes to be told that and theres no where to park
Whats the point of having a physical location if the answer to everything is go deal with customer service online
Great customer service! Abe was so great and helpful and made it so easy to transfer from our old providers and had great recommendations and literally knew everything about every product.
Great convenient location A1 service 6/24/21
Wrote down my name, temp was fine, and the in-store clerk did what none of the Three verizon PHONE SUPPORT CLUCKS couldnt do. transfer my Pixel 2xl to my new Pixel 4a (purchased online). yup. in-store guy did what phone folks could NOT figure out. Go Fig. (and dont be telling me its difficult.nope)
While we were being taken care of by the person at the store, he kept answering his cellphone for personal calls. I find it disrespectful towards the client to be talking on the phone with another party and trying or attempting to take care of us.
I went to the store today to return verizon equipment. The staff was unhelpful. I want to make it clear this location doesnt take version equipment back but the staff was less than willing to help me just as verison in general hasnt been Ive been in trying to return this equipment yet they still are fine billing me for it. It has been months since Ive moved and I just want to return the equipment. P.S. a customer at the store said I could return it at a ups store. The ups store stated they wont return it with out a code which Verizon will not provide me. Go figure.
I was very happy that Harbor East Verizon fixed my rebate issue for me.I bought a Samsung Galaxy Note s20 here during a 50% off promotion trade in that was not applied. The store manager called me to settle all issues with the promotion and put the credit through. Verizon overall is a bit of a headache, but the manager here definitely cares about customer service.
Exceptional service and knowledge. When spending money on new technology Abe is exactly the Verizon Rep you want to work with.
Terrible customer service! I understand there’s a line to get in the store during a pandemic, but the guy that came out to talk to us was rude and unhelpful. Never even made it inside. We were essentially told to go away and do the research, buy a phone, change info over, etc. on our own. They clearly didn’t want to help us at all or even have a conversation with us.
Last week I had a last minute emergency with my phone the night before I was going on vacation that was not easy to solve - I went to the Verizon store just 3.5 hours before closing and Sumit and Wayne helped me solve the issue and make sure I left with a working phone before having to travel the next day. They were very sympathetic and courteous about the situation!
I never write reviews but this one is well deserved. Jason fixed a problem that I had been dealing with for 3 days and countless hours over the phone through Verizon’s customer service in less than an hour. He was personable and took the time to help me. I can’t recommend going to see him enough. He wasn’t even getting a sale dealing with my issue. A wonderful customer experience in an industry that usually doesn’t have very many. Jason Baltimore Harbor East, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
The guys were very patient and understanding. They talked through each option to help me along my issues
Fast, friendly, and efficient service. Great location.
They have a key oz in there you can run in real fast and pay a bill. They always ask if theres anything else that they can do. I appreciate that.
The customer service representative was AWESOME. He hung in there with my problem concerning my phone.
I called to ask a question about pricing. Store associate is helpful, provides the price and tells me his name. I come in and mention his name but he’s busy with a customer. There are several other associates available... instead of helping me they make me wait for him to become available because they work on commission. Does not make sense to make the customer wait just because one associate has claimed me for his commission.. common Verizon.
The manager is a real POS. I had to buy thousands of dollars worth of equipment for our business. The employee did not know anything and the manager was the worst kind of rude. He wasnt even wearing a mask and he kept inching closer and closer to me.Extremely unprofessional! When I told him how disappointed I was in the service, he accosted me. Trying to grab my arm and tell me he didnt want the business anyway. He also cursed multiple times! Terrible experience and never going back. The manager is a real piece of ****
Horrible customer service and did not honor appointment time
The customer rep was excellent!!
Very good reviews
I have been going into the store for the last 3 months because my bill has been incorrect so I give up and will closing my account. I shouldnt continue to be charged for the same thing month after month like I have nothing better to do but dispute a monthly bill that I have been paying on time for over 2 years!! Drained
This place helped me out so much when I was in a pinch. I landed in Maryland had no charge on my phone and a broken charger, and they were about to close and let me come in purchase the charger and they let me charge it on there plugin. Excellent customer experience! Thank you again!
Long unnecessary wait just to return something
I purchased a new service with Verizon, and was fully helped by the associate all the way...I appreciate they wouldnt let me walk out store without learning the new features of my phone..
My second visit to this store and the first time was a lot more pleasant. This time, I waited for approximately 20 minutes before an associate even greeted me. One walked past me about 4 times and another went by 3 times without saying anything. Finally the general manager for the store asked if he could help to which he did and he was very helpful. During my time waiting to be acknowledged, 4 people came into the store and were immediately greeted. You would think standing stationary in the same spot staring at the associates for 20 mins would attract attention... Nope.
Had to get new phone. Process was great because of the staff. I had to go back a second time because I locked myself out. Staff took the phone and helped. Thank you guys
High prices staff that doesnt care and a mediocre product is what is sold here period for the amount of money they charge you think that they can make their shopping experience a little bit nicer. But obviously they cant. There in a front and an abomination to the rest of the world.
I always receive fairly quick and attentive service here. Parking is not ideal but the store cant help that. Nina in particular was very helpful and had me walking out the door a completely satisfied customer. Only issue: when I visited last week the AC was broken, the store very hot, and no one had any idea when it might be fixed.
Manager looked over the shoulder of a relatively new hire and watched him flunk everything possible, and me walk out the door and Im still trying to undo the results! I do not think they have a concept of times value, but they do appear to have a serious shortage in competent training of their newbies. I put most of the blame on the worthless manager who was in that day.
Very nice employee and quick
Wayne helped me with my order. He did great. Security guard is very cute and friendly. Music is a bit too loud. Architecture is old and I like it.
Friendly helpful staff, great service
This store lost sale of a new phone today. Someone said they would be right with me. I sat for 15 minutes waiting for someone to help me. The only person who talked to me was the security guard. A new customer walked in, walked up to the counter, and was helped immediately. I left.
Beware of hidden fees! My wife and I went here to trade in our phones and add a line, Sumit rushed us into a deal where we paid a small fee in the store and got our phones right away. Next thing we know, we were hit with $250 of hidden fees on our next bill that Sumit never even mentioned. On top of this, the whole process took 2.5 hours because their payment system kept crashing and they wouldnt let us leave with our new phones. I was offered a measly $10 off coupon for a new phone case to make up for the 2.5 hour wait.... Never giving this branch my business again.
This place is confusing and upsetting. I wanted to add a line to my plan and transfer my fiancees current (also Verizon) phone number. The woman immediately launched into this giant speech about how we need to call this phone number and tell them we need to perform an AOL (theyll know what that means) and then switch the line over and then we can come back and purchase a new phone separately or something. I asked if this was an affiliate Verizon store or something... I did this same thing for my own phone about 6 months ago at a real Verizon store and the whole process was easy and took about 15 minutes until I had a new line and phone in my hand. She explained something about them failing to integrate a sales division in this store or something. Idk, I dont really care but Im not really sure what is it they do here.Bottom line -- I came in with a really basic request and was prepared to spend like a million dollars on a new phone and line. I left with a piece of paper with handwritten instructions for a series of phone calls, which was presumably the start of a treasure hunt of some sort.Verizon is a telecommunications company worth more than 200 billion dollars. WHY DID YOU GIVE ME WEIRD PAPER SCRAP INSTRUCTIONS AND NOT EVEN LOOK UP MY ACCOUNT BEFORE TELLING ME TO LEAVE.Other Verizons stores are better. Shame on this one.
I have pretty low expectations when it comes to any large corporation and their customer service. When I came in to open a new line, the process was easy and the associate was helpful. I also knew what phone I wanted so there wasnt much interaction beyond ensuring the line was set up properly.
Very friendly and helpful staff, one rep even have me a number to text before I went in to make sure I got expedited service. There can be a little bit of a wait sometimes when theres a surge in customers. Very great place overall.
Arrogant and dismissive representative. Incorrectly said no Verizon store fixes screens. Couldn’t be bothered to help told me to call 611. All they do is up sell. Men have a very different experience. The worst
My family has been Verizon customers for 15+ years and recently customer service has taken a sharp decline across the board. In March I bought a house and signed up for Fios but cancelled 2 days later due to terrible customer service. Today I went into the Fleet Street location because my cell phone is consistently dying unnecessarily quickly (only holds a charge for about 3 hrs). I was met with inflexibility by Abe and when I threatened to walk across the street to AT&T and take my business (about $400/month across all my services) he responded thats your choice. Yes it is, Abe. Yes it is. Bye bye Verizon after 15 years.
Walked in and was greeted. Got signed in quickly and they grabbed my merchandise and I was out. Less than 5 minutes.
In and out - 15 minutes
Not a bad experience but four maybe five staffers. Three customers and a vagrant in the couch. I waited patiently but wasnt tended to. Had to leave.
I hate trafficking in absolutes, but I cant fathom a better retail experience. Went in on a Saturday around 1PM. Wait was under two minutes. David Jones, who helped me get a new phone, was outstanding. Knowledgeable and friendly without being sycophantic. Came across as trustworthy...wasnt trying to sell me a bunch of stuff I didnt want. Finished the event by giving me his contact info about learning the new phone.FYI, I recommend that both my wife and my mother go out of their way (Fells store isnt the closest) to deal with him (Mr Jones). If youre considering this store, I highly recommend it.If youre from Verizon and reading employee reviews, well run store...and David Jones is everything you could want in an employee.
Sherice, and the manager Mark are great customer service representative. They both went above and beyond to help me with a very difficult situation, and were very patient with my frustration at the situation. In the end, I left with a short term, and long term solution to my problem. I highly recommend them, and this location if you want the best support and the best network.
I went to the store to get a new S7 phone because my S6 was lost. They didnt have any color scheme except for the black out of the 7 different colors. This is the second time I have gotten a phone here where they had no selection at all. They said they were sold out of all the others both times. This could be true but it was frustrating.More importantly, the service rep that helped me was such a DELIGHT! Let me explain. During the whole time he helped me, he had on a pair of BEATS headphones and was blasting some hip hop through them. When I asked him questions I routinely had to ask him 2-3 times because he couldnt here me, even though we were right next to each other. He also spent the time singing along with his music and also took the time to do some online shopping for personal accessories on his tablet computer as I watched sitting next to him.I dont know how they run a store like this and survive--my assumption is that they have location, so customer service can go to pieces without true financial punishment....
Great staff. Very knowledgeable.
After an on-line/in-store pick-up fail - Sumat (sp? sorry) was so helpful. He waited patiently as I resolved the online purchase with a phone customer service rep and then helped me quickly expedite a new order. This is my second time using this location and second time I have been extremely pleased. I thought the online process would improve the phone purchasing experience - and while it DID NOT - the process was pleasant thanks to Sumat. He is a wonderful asset to this location.
Visited this location yesterday to purchase a new iPhone and was extremely disappointed by my experience. The sales rep was highly impatient and ended up making multiple errors during set-up which resulted in it taking over two hours. Furthermore, he signed me up for a monthly insurance plan without ever even mentioning it or asking me if in fact I wanted to pay for this. Im sure this happens to lots of unsuspecting customers who never realize and keeping paying for it. When I returned to the store the manager was apologetic but failed to offer anything substantial to make up for the frustration and inconvenience.
Wayne was an incredible help and went WAY above and beyond.
I have had mostly great experience. Knowledgable staff, who helped me find a company discount I didnt know I could get. Courteous and fast service. Only once did I get ignored when I walked in and was given poor service following. To be fair I do sometimes look like a homeless. Anyway I prefer this store to any other Verizon in store I am near by leaps and bounds. Just now I called the store and got a streetwise tip about buying a second hand phone and not getting ripped off. Youre not going to get that kind of service just anywhere.
Great place to see and check out the latest tech gadgets. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful.
The manager who works on Sundays, when approached about a 40 minute wait time to buy a $900 phone off-plan, stated her job is help employees, not customers, and seemed offended to be asked. She was not visibly doing anything to help the employees the 40 minutes I was there. I feel bad for her employees, who were working very hard. The only other customer in the store not being helped was a homeless man. I bought the phone elsewhere.
I live this place and all the wonderful gadgets that they have, so what if I dont know how to use them but Im determined to learn...haha
Awful - I will never go back there. They dont spend any time asking questions about what you might want in a plan and phone - before I knew it they rang me up for a new phone and just kept asking if I wanted to buy an apple watch??? No, I want customer service, my options explained and needs met. You are much better off using verizon online or calling them direct - this store sucks. Any positive reviews about them are planted.
Recently stopped into this location and received horrible service. As a former employee of the company, I was disappointed on how reps handled service in this location. Completely missed the customer service aspects of things at this location. I really hope I get one of those NPS calls so I can really speak my mind on location.
I really had a good time when i visited Verizon no waiting to get see the guy Chris was very helpful and respectful also knowledgeable about all the plans and service they can offer me and to pick out the best deal for me..
Thats my cell phone connection; and they on Fleet St. are always very helpful, and businesses caring for people !! Theres always a solution for any problem !
Taj was very customer friendly, relatable and knowledgeable. I was switching from Sprint and my girlfriend was getting the iPhone 7 and he made sure we were aware of the great deals and got the best value for our money. Love this location because of him!!
Managers are knowledgeable but hit or miss of the kindness scale. Most of their staff are very condescending, argumentative and patronizing. I have had numerous bad experiences when visiting this store just for simple inquires. Would not recommend this branch.
Horrible service. I came into the store because I was told via one chat operator that they could put my old verizon account on my new phone. They were unable to and said that the store was swamped(there was about three customers in there). I then asked if they at least had a new case for the iphone 6s and was told that they dont sell those cases anymore. I bought a new phone via amazon and was told on chat again to come into this store since its the closest to activate the phone. This time they said they did sell the iphone 6 cases and were going to sell them to me for about forty bucks as the cheapest option(you can get one for 20 bucks on Amazon) . When I complained to the manager he just nodded and said it was room for improvement(no apology or discount). Also was told by the manager that if I cant get access to their network with their SIM card in the store the iphone wouldnt work since I bought this new phone on amazon. He told me he could sell me a new iphone that would work for lowest price 450. Then I had a quick question about a bill discrepancy (getting charged 20 last month and now forty this month) and was told that they dont have that information to help me. I was told via amazon that this phone I bought was compatible on verizons network and thanks to the amazing staff on verizons chat service we got it up and running after the fact. Every time I go to that store they are misinformed or lazy or what have you. Do not go here unless you have time to waste.****Update**** Canned responses like the one below do not compensate me for my time or money. Theyre required as business policy to reply back to these reviews. Going to try my luck with the BBB. Just a quick question...if you keep letting people down why would they give you another chance when they just use other resources to work around you? If you felt financially strained as a result of your poor work you wouldnt just apologize and say youll do better next time. Food for thought
Got my new phone quickly. Tried to sell me expensive accessories. Installed an expensive screen protector that fell off two weeks later. Dont buy the expensive accessories.
My experience in the store was great when I needed to preorder my iPhone 6s and they wanted to take my money/sell me something. The representative promised that it would be to me by today (the day that is comes out) but, surprise...no iPhone came for me today.I called this location to find out what the process was for shipping. The lady on the phone advised me that until I get an email, the phone hasnt even shipped. (OK problem #1). I then said, can I cancel my order and just come in to get a phone? She responded No, since I already preordered I cannot (Problem #2). I then asked her if they have them in the store and she says Due to privacy and confidentiality I cannot disclose that information. (OK, Im sorry....I have NEVER heard of this before...let me just think about this, I am supposed to interrupt my day, leave work, come to the store, and then find out that it was a waste of time because you dont have what I am looking for....how does that make sense?)Instead of arguing with her, because obviously that wasnt going to go anywhere since they already have my money and its a big secret as to what they do and do not have in stock, I politely said thank you and hung up.The tone, her willingness to help, and her interest in customer service was TERRIBLE. I shouldnt have expected more from Verizon, especially one in Baltimore city, but I just thought maybe for once I would be surprised.Nope...thanks Verizon for continuously taking my money every month, over promising, and under delivering.
Best experience ever in a Verizon corporate store. I wish I lived in Baltimore just so I could handle any needed in person interactions with Verizon and this location only with the very helpful associates
Amazingly useless staff, the manager refused to help. I walked out after waiting for 40 minutes. I cannot recommend this location to even the most self loathing person.
Nice clean well lit place, the attendants were very helpful and friendly.
Its not a busy store so as soon as you walk in someone helps you immediately, they are fast and friendly and very helpful.
Fantastic customer service. They were busy and slightly understaffed, but very attentive and did their best to move all the customers forward as quickly as possible.
I went to this location after accidentally locking my phone (Samsung S5), and unfortunately I wasnt able to remember my alternate password. when I told the employee there, his only solution was to restore the phone to its factory settings and wiping all data from my phone. After staring at him incredulously, I went home and did a quick Google search when led me to a fast fix. thanks for nothing!to be fair, this is a review of that particular employee, Ive never done business at this location before and probably will avoid it if possible.
The gentleman that helped me was great! I was indecisive and he stuck with me and eventually helped me make up my mind. Very pleased with the service!
Great customer service skills 😃
Its a good store, though it seems to me actual brick and mortar stores are becoming increasingly obsolete
Worst experience ever. I went in to pay off my phone and unlock the carrier and had to wait about 30 minutes. Once I was helped, they only charged me the amount due, gave me my receipt and didnt assist me in unlocking my carrier.
Chris was great. Knowledgeable and gave outstanding customer service.
Phone and interwebs.
Spent 3 hours in the store as they were backing up my information to a new phone. Xavier handled the transfer of information and botched the whole process. Said I could leave with the new phone after erasing all the old data, even though it was still loading. Long story short, right when I walked out of the store, the wifi cut out and the phone lost all the data from the previous one. Went back the next day and they had nothing to say except It was a courtesy just to back up the phone on their part. Id like the courtesy of getting my 3 hours, my data, and my information back without the experts messing it up. Never going back
The girl at the desk, Sherice, was completely unknowledgeable and continued to try and brush me off, talkdown to me and give false information instead of actually helping. Once I called customer service and got a real answer from them, she decided to get her manager involved. He was much friendlier and never brushed me off or talked down to me. He did have to ask for help from a third associate who completely solved everything and did exactly what I asked for in the first place. I went in for a SIM card for my smart watch and somehow that took an entire hour. Very disappointed in the service I received!
Very quick and good service great place to go to just opened
Great people at this location. Maybe VZ is turning a corner in valuing customers.
I am incredibly disappointed by the level of service I received here. I came in on a Sunday about 20 minutes after the store opened. Even though the store was empty, we had to wait 30 minutes. We were helped eventually by Cassandra. She started out being friendly enough, until she figured out that we were not planning to buy anything and planned to reactivate an old phone, then use our insurance to order a replacement. She stated multiple times that she works off of commission. I told her that I did not plan to buy anything. While my iCloud settings were uploading to the old phone, I said I was going to walk across the street to CVS to get water. While I was gone, she “found an offer in the account for a $30 discount” off of a $180 Fitbit, which she then started to try to push on my spouse. When I returned and saw the transaction happening she got an attitude and said she “didn’t know if she could cancel the transaction.” I said no thank you, and she needed to stop the transaction. Once she realized we were not buying the Fitbit she said she “needed to move on.” I was livid. She clearly knew about the credit because she had our account open on her IPad for the full 20 minutes we were with her. However, she waited until I left to try to sell things to my spouse. It was an incredibly predatory sales tactic to try to sell us something when I wasn’t there. The egregious and manipulative action was then exacerbated by the fact that she literally ended the interaction and walked away when I said no to the Fitbit. If she wanted to make a sale to someone else, she could have walked away when the iCloud upload started, rather than wait around to see what she could try to sell us. I am incredibly disappointed with this Verizon location and the fact that this woman is able to carry out tactics of this nature.
Service can be improved but was able to get done what I needed to.
Convenient city location. Does tend to get busy at times esspecially during work week.
The rep.lady Name was Charise.work very well with outher..good communication skills.Respectful of your decisions..she had patient..with all her customers, very well spokeing...even gave me a card to call her when I made my decision..or if I have questions about my purchase...she was the best-selling employer I meet in a long time
Got my new Galaxy S8 and a Tablet. Good price, Excellent service.
Great service in and out a happy man 👌
I second Giocondas experience about staff pushing the accessories, but my bigger problem was with Keilan, a manager, lying to me when I asked if I could receive a $30 credit to my account rather than paying the Upgrade Fee. He said No. But after speaking with other associates (Sherice was very helpful, as was the door-greeting manager), I discovered this was false and that he was simply executing his discerning authority on who gets credits and who doesnt. Stick with another associate, and definitely question the Upgrade Fee (which isnt posted anywhere in the store) as it is nickel-and-dime scam only for serious customers to refuse to pay.
The staff is very knowledgeable efficient and saved us $
Wonderfully attentive staff at this place. Not a long wait time either. I like This Verizon location a lot
No appreciation for clients time, the person who attended me was very pushy to make me buy accessories for the phone. Insisting in expend extra 90$ for something that I can get whenever I want, because I said no the guy suddenly said that the phone that I wanted they dont have it on stock anymore even when I asked before to sign up for my turn, he told me that they have the phone that I was looking for, after 40 minutes just because I did not want the charger, case and screen protector then there is no phone available!. Really?!!!
No parking. The ataff member that was helping me was to worried about making commission to actually help me.
Great, courteous serviceVery prompt and attentive
