I started coming here soon after I moved to Baltimore in 2016 because I heard from a friend that they would be friendly to my trans partner. They always have been, and I have never had a haircut here that I regretted. All of the stylists are genuinely friendly and care about what they do, and I have also felt incredibly safe here throughout Covid.

I have had my hair cut and styled by Autumn twice now, and I will be her loyal customer as long as I possibly can! The whole staff is great, and Autumn is an incredibly talented stylist. I have gone to most of the salons in the Hampden area, and have never been so happy with my hair as I have been at NV.

Autumn and the rest of the team here are wonderful. I have never had a bad cut or color, and always feel that they listen to me. The salon sells great products and has other services like skin care that make it a one-stop-ship for feeling refreshed.

Ive been going to NV Salon for a few months now and feel like Ive finally found my place in Baltimore. Nikki always listens to me and gives me super, natural-looking, and easy-to-maintain cuts and colors. Today, Autumn did the color and Nikki did the cut and I left feeling refreshed. Nikki has been styling my hair for about ten years. Always amazing. Friday, we tried something new—blonde highlights with a red glaze. The colors blend together naturally which is exactly the look want. Perfect new look for the holidays!

I have been a client of Bethany for years. I can’t tell you how much I value her as my hair stylist. Bethany puts so much thought and effort into every hair cut and color and highlighted strand in my hair. It is amazing to watch her work you can literally see her professionalism and talent flow through the color she applies and scissors she cuts with and into my hair. She also is happy to go above and beyond to assist with styling questions to help me style my own hair so it looks the best everyday. I naturally have fine limp hair. I used to hate my hair. For the last 6 or so years I constantly get compliments on my color and that is 100% due to Bethany. I heart my hair stylist Bethany.

Nikki, the owner of NV, has been cutting/coloring my hair for 12 years and I dont know what I would do without her! Nikki has always really LISTENED to me so that I consistently leave her chair with the cut/color I envisioned, and she goes the extra mile, taking time to teach me how to recreate her salon styling genius at home. Im still no Nikki when it comes to doing my hair, but she is getting me there little by little! ;p I am so thrilled that she started NV Salon Collective, a salon with a warmth and serenity that rejuvenates me during each visit. I cannot recommend NV more highly!!!!

I spent 10 hours digging my car out of my parking pad and ally after the blizzard to make my appointment with Nikki! It was well worth the work because she did a great job, as usual! Love the new renovations.

I just had a reiki session with Tanya upstairs while my color was processing. It was wonderful!! She walked me through a guided meditation which was amazingly effective. After she was done and I rose off the table, it felt like I was waking up from a very restful nap. I would recommend it to anyone!

Honestly the most amazing hair experience ive ever had!! Chenoa made me feel SO comfortable!she’s a complete sweetheart and really listens to what you want ❤️ And all of the ladies there are so friendly and welcoming ! Which is a big deal for someone with anxiety like me lol She completely rejuvenated my hair! When I came in my hair was SUPER brassy and cut horribly (unfortunately due to a stylist at a different salon) and she was able to make a complete change to my hair!! I will never go to anyone else! I highly highly recommend 😍❤️

I cannot say enough about how much I love NV Salon! My experience was very relaxing, and I am extremely happy with the results! I was welcomed by a very pleasant and professional young woman, and felt instantly welcome. Mariah was my stylist, and I received an overall color and a trim. She was very thorough when applying my color, and nailed the color that I requested. My trim came out equally well. I highly recommend NV and Mariah!!!

Ive been going to see Missy for a long time and she does amazing color work and always gives me a great cut. This salon has a nice laid back atmosphere, has quality equipment and is well stocked with the latest products. Prices are fair, service is great, and there is always easy parking.

Best place to have your dream hair. I had an idea of how I wanted my hair and they went beyond that and made it beautiful.

Let me just say that Lauren is AMAZING! I went in for an appointment the Saturday before thanksgiving to get my hair cut and colored. It was SUPER busy, but Lauren really took the time to speak with me about what I wanted and my visions.Well, turns out that the color did not come out right, the decolorizer did not lift the color as intended. And I was a bit bummed about it. Lauren then worked with me to have me come in on Tuesday (her day off!) at not cost to fix and redo my hair so that it was perfect! She never rushed and she really went the extra mile to make sure I left feeling amazing!I would highly recommend NV salon!

Bethany first helped me transition out of a bad haircut that made me look too old into a longer, more flattering look. Shes taken good care of my wavy, temperamental hair for many years and I love going in & telling her to just do whatever you want. It always comes out great! Shes particularly good at (and loves) playing with color to give you something unique, flattering, and fun.I was also quite pleased when Bethany moved to the NV Salon (Ive been seeing her since she was out in Canton). Parking in Hampden is easier, the staff if friendlier, and the layout is better. Its located in a lovely rowhouse with local art on the walls. It is a comfortable and soothing place to spend a few hours getting pampered.

Love the owner, love the business model and love the end product. Been a client for many years and will never go anywhere else!

I found NV Salon Collective through Baltimore Magazine (Best of Baltimore 2011)- Nikki (the owner) is apparently one of the top 10 hair stylists in Baltimore. On calling the salon, I was told that appointments with Nikki are booked 2-3 weeks in advance and that currently she was not taking new clients. As an alternative to her, they recommended Debbie who is supposed to be the next best at NV. I went ahead and made an appointment with Debbie for the very next day morning.I was greeted very politely by the lady at the front desk. Later I overheard her telling every customer on the phone about Nikkis busy schedule and availability (the same spiel I had heard previously). Later on I came to know that Nikki is no one else other than our friendly receptionist! Isnt that totally hilarious?I wanted sun kissed highlights followed by a hair cut. I had pictures for reference and requested Debbie to match my existing highlight color. She did a great job with my hair color but I felt that her hair styling sense is not good.Debbie appears arrogant and doesnt appreciate taking instructions from clients in regards to the hair cut. Basically you have to accept whatever she does. She finished my hair cut in haste as she had to attend another client. My hair cut in no way matches my brief to her or her recommendation. I already had thin hair and she cropped my bangs short and totally thinned my hair. My BF freaked when he saw me!To add insult to injury, the salon charged me for full hair highlights whereas whilst doing the coloring, Debbie had clearly mentioned that she would be doing sun kissed highlights. For $200, this place is not worth it. I cant even complain anywhere as the salon does not provide receipts for any transaction (whether by cash or by credit).
