I could not be happier with the “Three-Rex” custom cake and cookies this bakery made for my son’s 3rd birthday party! The design was everything I had envisioned and the cake itself was delicious! Every employee I worked with via phone and in person was professional and courteous. Even better, they all offered great advice with the design and order along the way! I will be using them for all of my desserts in the future!

We were so happy with our wedding cake from Celebrating Life Cake Boutique! We had a vision and they nailed it! We did a simple 4 tiered cake. They were so easy to work with and the cake tasting session was very fun!

We used Celebrating Life for our wedding and so happy we did! We got a small two-tiered cake and also had a dessert bar for our guests. The options to choose from were amazing and everything tasted wonderful! They came and set up our dessert bar for us and it was so beautiful!! We also get an anniversary cake which I appreciate so we don’t have to freeze the cake. Definitely recommend for your wedding cake and dessert bar needs!

We procrastinated booking a wedding cake vendor until only a couple of months before the date. After a hike at castle wood I happened to see celebrating life and stopped in to grab a slice of their vanilla almond cake with raspberry filling. I was absolutely blown away. We quickly decided to book them for our wedding. They made a two tiered cake for cutting and sheet cakes for our wedding of 180 and it was absolutely perfect. I swear it tasted even better than the slice we originally tried. The slices were very generously sized and we had plenty of leftovers to share with guests. They added live flowers for us at the last minute as well. We highly recommend celebrating life for any event, especially a wedding. We have received so many compliments on the cake and can’t wait to have it again for our anniversary!

My experience with Celebrating Life Cake was great! The cake was so delicious and they were able to take on a last minute birthday cake for a reasonable price during Valentines weekend. Most other places I spoke with just werent as flexible or affordable as them. The cake was so beautiful, and the staff helped me put it in my car and showed me how to take care of it on my drive home. I really appreciated that. My grandmother in complete tears all day because of how beautiful it was. It was definitely the thing that brought her the most joy, along with the kitchen aid mixer, ha! They made the most gorgeous cake for my daughters birthday! They were extremely responsive, and they even dedicate a day to sanitizing the store so they can make allergen free cakes ❤️ We had a girl at my daughters party who is allergic to peanuts and treenuts and she didnt have to stress or worry one bit about being able to indulge. This place seriously went above and beyond!!!!

Amazing!! We could not be happier with the very unique cake Cake Boutique made for us! My daughter wanted a unicorn cake for my husband’s bday, my son wanted a NY Giants cake for him, so we ended up with a unicorn NY Giant one. I did not provide a lot of design ideas to the incredibly creative people at Cake Boutique. This was their creation and they did not disappoint! It tasted as great as it looked and was very very reasonably priced considering how much work must have gone into creating it.

Excellent customer service, quality craftsmanship, and delicious! During delivery, Sam the person delivering needed clarification on the address and did not leave until the cake was delivered. We stopped here on a whim while waiting for our hair appts and my daughters were not disappointed. My 15 yr old said, its devine. She loved the lemon filled blueberry cupcake. My 13 yr old liked the pretzels. They both loved the Bon bons!! The decor was adorable and they even an event section you could rent.

Disappointing. First time customer. Stopped in for a ready-to-go cake. There was a couple in front of me already being waited on. Gave them the courtesy of their space - stayed 6 feet behind them and wore a mask - until I could view the baked goods case. They were taking their grand old time asking questions, ordering several items, asking more questions - then ordering more items (this couple also realizes there are others in line waiting by the way). There is also a second employee who appears twice behind the counter but assists no customers. So we wait. By the time I could step to the counter to request a cake, the clerk was short with us. Needless to say, the cake I purchased was dry and icing was tasteless. Won’t be back.

I ordered my sons first birthday smash cake from celebrating life cakes and a dozen cake pops and both were outstanding! We ate some of the smash cake the next day and it was delicious. Our guests absolutely loved the chocolate cake pops (seriously the best) I would highly recommend this bakery! Staff was super helpful and responsive during the ordering process and just overall very friendly people.

We used Celebrating Life Cake Boutique for our Aug. 2019 wedding reception and they did a terrific job! We had a Harry Potter wedding and the theme cake they made for us was so elegant, and was exactly as if the ideas we described to them had come to life. They also created a drummer-themed grooms cake for us that was absolutely picture-perfect! Their cakes truly are works of art. The cakes taste delicious, also! I would recommend doing a tasting with them so you can see how cute their shop is, and to taste the different flavors they offer. We worked with Sue and Heather who were very helpful and responsive throughout my wedding planning process.

Okay a couple things. The end result of my experiences at this bakery is that I will likely not return, and heres why:I feel like I should start off by saying their cake tastes excellent, and the designs they create are beautiful. If you have a picture of something you want on your cake or find a picture online and you want it duplicated, this bakery will deliver on the designs.Unfortunately, their buttercream icing is very disappointing. I wish I would have tried it before I ordered an entire custom cake in it. The buttercream is closer to whipped cream icing than real buttercream. I actually emailed them claiming they put the wrong icing on my cake because my entire party of 25 people thought it was whipped cream. Their response was curt. They said they dont offer whipped cream icing, and Our buttercream is made fresh daily and is very light and airy so it is possible that some may mistake it for whipped cream. So heed warning, do not order a cake from here if you like the thick, creamy buttercream that other places have. I was a little put off with the attitude in their response to my email, and when looking at the reviews on google I noticed that the response to the negative reviews on there are less than apologetic.On another note, I have been in a handful of times, and only once did I feel like the person I talked to actually enjoyed the fact that I was in the store. The employees either act clueless when I ask about things, or act bothered when I ask questions about flavors and availability. One time I did go in and a woman was very friendly and I wish I remembered her name but the rest of the time, the girls just avoid eye contact and seem to want to talk to me as little as possible.

Unbelievable talent and wonderful people! I saw a picture of my cake posted on IG and thought is was so beautiful, I was wrong. I was blown away with how stunning it was in person! Everything was beyond my expectation and it so delicious! I cant thank Celebrating Life Cake Boutique for all they did, it was perfect!

Celebrating Life Cake Boutique did a fabulous sailboat cake for my dad’s 90th birthday. The cake is an exact replica of Dad’s 1980s sailing yacht which Sue and her team created from photographs I provided. Even the lettering of the yacht’s name RIKKI TIKKI is an exact match to the boat. Our family was amazed at the detail. And the cake tasted great, too! We were pleased with everything about this experience with Celebrating Life. Great, friendly service. Wonderful cake.

Our wedding cake was AMAZING!!!! It was so beautiful and delicious. We chose the gluten free vanilla cake with cream cheese filling as well as gluten/dairy free and vegan cupcakes for our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone raved about our cake! Heather and Sue were great to work with. I saw a cake with a monogram charm on the front and really wanted that for our cake. Although they had never done this before, they offered solutions to attach it to the front of the cake and made it possible! The cake was exactly what I had envisioned. It was PERFECT! I highly recommend this bakery for any event!

Ive had some excellent cakes and sweets from Celebrating Life but Ive also had some distinct disappointments. The decor is clever, the staff is friendly, it is clean, but it is nothing less than a crapshoot when it comes to whether or not the items we purchase will be enjoyable. The prices are a little high and for the gamble I will only go for the things that I know will be worth the money. I must add that the caramel macchiato I ordered was undrinkable and tasted of chemicals.

I highly recommend this business! My order was very last minute, but the staff were so kind and accommodating. The cake was absolutely delicious and perfect! Will absolutely be using Celebrating Life Cake Boutique again.

I cannot recommend this cute little bakery enough!!!!! I visited the area and googled gluten/dairy free bakeries. I found this place and decided to try it because it is highly rated. I tried the gluten free, vanilla cupcake with dairy free icing! I was blown away how good it was!!!!! I have a lot of food sensitivities and usually get very sick if I eat desserts. The staff was also very friendly and happily answered my questions! I highly recommend this this bakery and I will definitely be back! I have a lot of friends that live here and/or visit the area, I will tell everyone about my experience!

I visited Celebrating Life Cakes today to grab a treat for a friend’s birthday. I haven’t ventured out much the past three months and had some reservations so I visited the website prior to venturing to the store. The website affirmed that masks are encouraged and safety protocols are in place. As soon as I entered safety measures were evident. Staff wore masks and as always, the bakery is immaculate. I purchased a brownie and a peanut butter pie slice (for myself). They never disappoint! These desserts are divine and each item was under $5. This business also created my wedding cake back in October of 2019. Sheer perfection from the consultation to the delivery details (an hour away) to the cake itself. Proof that you can have a beautiful presentation AND delicious product. Love this place; I will visit again Saturday in preparation for Father’s Day!

I so wish there was a 10 star option. I will go back here in a heartbeat for future events. To start off, it was my baby’s first birthday and I waited til 4 days before the event to think about a cake. On top of it, we did a dog theme, and I wanted something special to look like our dogs. I was asking A LOT for a last minute request. However.... Celebrating Life Cake Boutique made this seem like it was nothing. They were SO kind, SO patient with my shenanigans, and made the most gorgeous cake I could ask for. The cake was moist, fresh, and the icing and fondant were SUPERB! I go to pick it up the day of the event.... the shop is bright and cheery, the employees are very personal, and they help me out to my car! At the party, guests were ranting and raving over the ADORABLE decorating of the cake and the awesome taste. I could not have asked for a better experience or cake. I recommend this bakery over any other I’ve ever used in the St. Louis area!

Ive grabbed a few delicious treats here and its mostly the Gluten Free items and my son absolutely loves the dairy free frosting. I believe it to be as good as anything chocolate you could ever try. Its delicious! Ive eaten the artisan treats there and they are spectacular. A real treasure in Manchester!

We called to make sure they had a chocolate pie and the girl on the phone said you did. We drove all the way from the city and you did not have one. Very disappointed in the customer service because the girl didnt even offer anything else. She just stood there. It was quite uncomfortable. We probably would have tried something else but she was awkward and just looked at us.

If I could give them 100 stars I would, I have ordered customized cakes 2 times and they have never failed me, designs are on point and chocolate cake and their fruit jams are the bomb!!! Heather and staff are very great, best service and treat you with utmost respect during orders and by the time you pick it up. Very great!!

We ordered 1 custom layered cake & 140 cupcakes for a Halloween wedding. Everything was beautiful and amazingly delicious. Staff was super helpful & very nice. Everything was delivered on time & perfect.

We sampled gluten free cake in many places around town but fell in love with theirs! It was so moist and didn’t taste gluten free at all! Sue was easy to work with and created a cake exactly in line with our vision. We also love that they do an anniversary tier, a fun twist to an old tradition.

I have to write a review because I have gotten about 10 cakes from them in the past year, over 6 were custom orders - I did a guitar, a book, flowers, golf one, a big bomb pop, and one I am picking up today! Celebrating Life Cake Boutique baked our wedding cake and cupcakes back in June. My husband and I found out about them at a wedding show we attended and fell in love with their cakes. We scheduled a tasting at their shop and knew right away that was the cake we wanted on our big day. The owner, Sue quickly responded to all of our questions and was so friendly. She made sure she understood what flavors we wanted for each layer and she decorated the cake exactly as we pictured it. Not only did everything look amazing it also tasted delicious! I would highly recommend them!

I am so happy to have found this place!! I found them online when I needed a cake for my sisters graduation party. My son and I went in and tried a cupcake from the cupcake bar and it was sooo delicious, I knew I wanted the cake from there!! Everyone at the party loved the cake and kept asking where I got it. I ordered way to big of a cake...my fault for ordering before I had a final RSVP count but I didnt care...so many people asked to take some home and I made sure to save my family a big piece to take home too:)

Loved the Birthday Cake they did for my daughter! I ordered a sculpted cake for my daughter in the shape of a gift bag, it even had tissue paper sticking out!. I placed it on a table and as the guests came in they placed the presents next to the cake, many were also in gift bags. Everyone was amazed when I pointed out that one of the gifts was actually the cake. The cake was a fun addition to the party, and it tasted amazing!

I have died and gone to heaven !!! Stepping in this relaxing shop put a worried mind at ease. For starters the ladies that are working the front are some of the friendliest group of people Ive ever met! Its not fake friendly they truly want to help and the main attraction dose not let you down by know means! The case display is so beautiful and everything I tasted was mind blowing ! From the pies to the cup cakes and all the goodies in between my birthday party was so amazing this is the place to go and give your ideas to them and them take it to a whole other level. Cake was great. But... It didnt actually taste like strawberry. My wife makes a very labor intensive strawberry cake that actually tastes like strawberry.So, if you expect pink cake, come here. If you expect cake that actually tastes like it was made from fresh fruit, keep looking.

Everything at Celebrating Life Cakes is made fresh to order and so so good. My favorites are the bon bons, cake pops and cupcakes. But there are no wrong choices. Plus for those families with allergies, this bakery does an amazing job of avoiding nuts or gluten or whatever ingredient is forbidden.

The Best Wedding Cake Ever! Not only was the cake design beautiful, the cake was delicious.We had 3 flavors and 3 fillings. The Buttercream Frosting is delicious and not sugary, very smooth.The cake itself is very moist. Guests continually commented about what a great cake! The owner was a pleasure to work with and so was the staff. Delivery was as planned and the cake did well with the hot summer heat.My first experience with this baker was with a College Graduation Cake. The Design was true to the school colors and mascot. The Cake was delicious and moist. The Buttercream Frosting was amazing. I knew then that this would be my bakery of choice!

I went on a Friday to buy a cake for my husbands birthday. I asked what flavors the cakes were and the lady behind the counter seemed really put out and answered somewhat condescendingly The chocolate icing means chocolate cake and the white icing is yellow cake. Thats fine -- but if it annoys you so much when a customer asks, maybe its time to put a small sign in the cake display that provides that information so that you are not so put out by telling people? I was with two of my children so I didnt make a remark about the tone in her voice. To be honest, I should have left right then but my kids were excited to pick out a cake so we stayed. I also think it would really benefit them to have a tray of bite size samples out for their customers. We had never been before (we usually go to Nothing Bundt Cakes), and unfortunately didnt think it was the best first experience. Nothing Bundt Cakes provides samples and those samples have been a big reason for our continued patronage to their business because weve gotten to try the flavors they offer. People like to try before they buy.Anyway, Im undecided about returning.*This is a follow-up to the owners response to my original review:Sometimes we arent always the best at seeing or hearing ourselves. So while you say you are hyper-aware of the way you treat people, I dont think you heard yourself as I, the customer, heard you. Even my children picked up on your tone. In fact, they turned to me and said, Mom, are we going to leave? Your response to my review is defensive and abrasive, and maybe it would have been better to say, Im sorry you felt that way. I would love for you to return and give us another chance.

Bought a ready made cake and i was very hesitant. I bought it on a Wednesday for an out of town girls weekend and we werent going to eat it until Friday. I kept it in the fridge until Friday morning when we packed and drove 3 hours away. When we started to cut into it I thought after all this time this cake is going to be dry as a bone. OMG this was the most moist and delicious cake I had ever had. The young girl who sold it to me said it would be and she was right! So glad they are in my neighborhood because I just leave the baking to them from now on!

Found this little gem 6 or more years ago (at their previous location) when I went to pick up heart shaped pizzas next door for Valentines Day and hopped into the bakery to pick up some dessert. To date, I have NEVER been disappointed. By far, the best bon bons I have ever eaten! They are a party in your mouth! I stop by for the occasional sweet tooth fix and order all my birthday and special occasion cakes/ cupcakes from this bakery. Thank you Celebrating Life Cake Boutique, the Willys truck you made was exactly as my cousins Willys truck. This cake was a big hit, not only for the look of the truck, but the taste as well. You made such an outstanding cake that will be forever in our memories, especially for my cousin.

I was very disappointed in this Cake Boutique. I decided to use them for my sons first birthday, because on the website they advertise that they can often bake for those with allergies, and they will do tree nut and peanut free desserts. Since my son has tree nut and peanut allergies I thought this was a great place to order his birthday cake. When I placed my order for the cake and his smash cake, I specifically said no nuts, tree nuts, sesame seed, or ALMOND EXTRACT. I tried their butter cream icing and a vanilla cup cake while we were there, since I never had their cakes, and was told my icing and cake would taste different since it would not have the almond flavoring, which I was fine with. To my disappointment after my son had already dove into his smash cake, I tried a bit of his icing and was overwhelmed with the almond flavor, and then I tried the cake and it had an even more over powering almond taste. My son broke out into hives, but luckily responded quickly to Benadryl. When I called to notify the bakery of what had happened, they were first apologetic, but then they became defensive, stating that they always have almond in their butter cream and do not make separate batches. Then tell me, WHY WAS I NOT TOLD THIS WHEN I PLACED MY ORDER!!!! I would have never order my cake from here. They would not refund my whole order, only the $10 smash cake, even though my $130 cake was also not suppose to have any of these ingredients, as I am a breastfeeding mother and what I eat my son eats. They DO NOT accommodate for nut allergies. I will never go here again and would not recommend them to anyone.

My son had a cake made here for my 75th Birthday at the end of December. I had told him it had to have giraffes on the icing. He took a picture to them of a painting I had commissioned and they transferrred that to the lemon and raspberry cake. It was the most delicious cake I’ve ever eaten. Even though I live 25 min. away, l’ll be ordering all my cakes from them.

Highly disappointed for a 21st (“celebrating life”) Birthday cake. No creativity from the cake artists. Icing colors muted. Fondant used when not requested, and it tasted stale. Cake average in taste.

If you are ordering from their Allergy friendly menu, please have them double check the ingredients.. I went today for my first time.. Ordered 3 dairy Free cupcakes.. I ate one, it was delicious.. I was so excited to bring it home to my son.. 2 small bites and he reacted.. I called and the first girl suggested maybe it was something he ate earlier.. Um no, please accept responsibility.. The owner called me back and after double checking the ingredients found Whey Protein.. She had no idea that was dairy.. If you advertise allergy friendly, please educate yourself on what to exclude to make your baked goods safe to eat..** I did get refunded and she asked for a site she could visit to get more information about dairy ingredients.. **Response to Owner : Yes and thank you! I really hope you take all necessary precautions to have actual dairy free items.. I am looking forward to trying you guys again if you change the recipe.. The less then 2% is still too much to anyone with a dairy allergy.. To be truly dairy free it needs to have zero of the ingredients derived from milk.. Im sorry if my above review seemed harsh, it wasnt intended.. It was more to save the life of anyone with a dairy allergy.. Allergies are not something to be taken lightly.. People with nut allergies can die just by having peanut dust in the air.. I am a huge advocate for not only my sons allergy but for others as well.. Its a tough world.. Not everyone knows or cares about people with food allergies.. To some its an inconvenience.. I know this all too well.. I applaud at your attempt to make a dairy free cupcake.. And although it was delicious for me to eat, my son who has the allergy could not.. Its very upsetting as a parent, to a child with food allergies, to watch your child react to something we thought would be safe and get upset after because he really wanted to eat it.. Again, not trying to come across rude, just trying to explain.. I will gladly remove this review if you fix the problem.. Like I said, we would come back and try again and I look forward to it.. I was just slightly upset at the lack of knowledge of dairy ingredients.. Anyone who offers such things should be a little knowledgeable of the subject so things like this can be prevented..

Ordered a graduation cake here. It was everything I expected and more! Staff was friendly too. Overall a great experience. Ill be back for more!
