Ben is very professional, and communicable. He has a way of explaining what needs to be done in a way that a “non gear head” such as myself can understand and comprehend. I brought my bought used 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with a blown engine to PFC asking to have an engine swapped. For I had already bought a crate engine 6.4L. Ben knowingly advised me to return the engine and actually built me an even stronger more powerful engine based off the 6.2L block for less than what I paid for the 6.4L. It’s rare to find people who take pride in their work, and aren’t just trying to empty your wallet. I’d recommend PFC to any and all Mopar friends or strangers alike.
I brought my 2016 charger 5.7 to Plum Floored to wake it up a bit. Did a comp xfi 226/234 cam, long tubes and 6.4 intake swap with the active runners. I was surprised at the turn around time, but more impressed at how it acts like a whole different car now. Will definitely be coming back later
I had a very good experience shipping my Durango R/T from NY to AZ for the 392 swap. From start to finish everything took about a month, communication was very good. I have about 4k on the motor now(a year later....pandemic remote work zapped my commute...not complaining). If you are on the fence about a swap, do it.
Plum floored creations did a great job for me installing a new Hellcat Drivetrain in my 58 Plymouth. Ben is very knowledgeable and was willing to answer all my questions and is eager to share his Mopar knowledge. Post delivery, I had a few bugs that are normal with any custom build and Ben took my phone calls and helped me to resolve.
Plumflooredcreations did a full motor swap on my Magnum and painted it two tone (green&black)...I have no issues with my swap, my car has been running strong and is a real head turner..Ben really did a great job on mine from top to bottom.
Ben helped create something very special, despite information to the contrary, the nature of these conversions require some additional and ongoing tweaking to bring them to their final completion. Ben is more than willing to do this. With everything in writing, and the pre-work agreements and authorizations, you will find that he will give you an outstanding end product. Insist on clear and timely communication and you will not be disappointed. I would recommend Ben for anyone who is looking to do a project that is both affordable and done with the end result being one you can be proud of. Mine was an 05 Dodge Magnum with a bad 5.7 engine. Been installed a late model 392 with a dual runner manifold, 3-in exhaust including catalytic converters, a complete Mopar stage 2 suspension, replacing stock with brembo brakes, and replacing the rear end to accommodate the new powertrain. I was not insistent on new parts, but wanted to make sure that they were good used parts if that was what was readily available. Contrary to what Ive heard, been always has the best intentions, good motives, and a willingness to try what is necessary to give you the best product at an affordable price. You can do better, but at three times the money is it really worth it? I think Ben gives you the best value you can hope for. Robert
Had them swap out the v6 to a Hemi in our Challenger. Horrible job. Supposed to take 2.5 weeks, actually took 3+ months. Stereo was stolen while in their care. Got car back totally messed up. Electronics not matched, tune was horrible. Transmission went out a year later. Rim was bent. You name it, they screwed it up! Do Not Use This Shop for ANYTHING! Pour quality work, with a smile. I swear, it was like we kicked their mom or something with how bad of a job they did. Car wont pass smog at this point (almost 2 years later) so cant even sell it.
Started talking to Ben in 2017 to get this swap done but was leery about shipping my car. So back a forth with just random questions I had he was always ready to answer them. So fast forward to now I finally decided to pull the trigger on this and get it done. Not gonna lie I was scared as hell to ship my car 17 hours away but Ben assured me he would take car of my baby as his own. The whole time he had my car I’d get lots of updates and pictures as to the progress of the swap. So after a month i finally got my car back and let me tell you. If you are thinking about doing this swap please give it to this guy he absolutely know what he’s doing with these swaps. My car is so much faster now with this swap done. Ben knows what he’s doing and will take care of you. He made my dream come true. Ben I can’t thank you enough and the patience you had with me.
I cant say enough bad things about Ben and Plum Floored Creations. Please read the internet forums there are many reviews that will corroborate my review. The project was nearly 6 months overdue and when delivered wasnt even close to the promise. Dashboard was lit up like a christmas tree with much of the multimedia functionality not working. Delivered tires were completely bald and showed clear indication of burnouts. New wheels had chipped paint. Hood was so poorly fit that it scraped the body work each time it was lifted; not to mention the fiberglass wasnt sanded prior to paint so it looks like the surface of the moon. The wiring clearly was put together without a care and had plenty of unnecessary splices so much so that it killed the intercooler pump. Exhaust was mounted against the spare tire plastic shroud which melted away after a few drives not to mention it wasnt even centered on the car. Fuel lines all needed to be replaced. BCM needed to be replaced. The worst part of dealing with Plum Floored was the regular lies, call dodging and missed milestones that became a hallmark of working with Ben. It wasnt until we threatened to have the Arizona Police repossess the car that it was finally delivered. In short the number of issues that needed to be sorted to make the car drivable was enormous and that didnt even address the various aesthetic issues that still need to be fixed.
To start off I paid what was asked in full upfront to be clear. First I was told 8 to ten weeks turnaround time on a 6.4 swap which wound up being 10 months. Get car back headers were loose and leaking, and warning lights came on second time I started the car. Fan shroud was rubbing radiator. Noticed the car was loosing antifreeze at a pretty quick rate about a gallon a month seeping from water pump few weeks later steering pump came loose shredding the belt due to nuts used to space out the pump and bolts werent long enough. After a year and only putting 6k on the swap car was burning up oil which I didnt realize till it was too late. In disassembling the engine discovered loose head bolts. After 10 months there should had not been a reason for none of this. But now it we be rebuilt right. Would never ever recommend.
I recently had Ben build me a custom car a couldnt be happier with it! I told him what I was looking for in a car and he built me Alley Cat a 2016 charger with a 2014 front end on it and he didnt stop there custom stitching in the seats be paid attention to the little details and I have outrun scatpack Challengers in that Beast. Personally I plan on doing a lot more business with Ben. I posted a photo of alley cat sitting at a gas station so people can see his work and even at night and crappy lighting that car stands out
Car came with a v8 motor, spend thousand of dollars for a 6.4 with a big catcher (blower) come back to Arizona, my car in a tow yard strip, with no wires, no engine ect. Not to mention my car never went to address above, it went to the owners house Ben. I advised no one to go to this shop!
I traded an oil pan for some parts that were supposed to come with the motor in the first place. 2 months later Im still trying to get my parts. Very disappointed I held up my end of the deal.
Stay away from this shop or Ben. Did me wrong and i had to pay another shop 8k just to fix his mistakes.
