I don’t normally leave reviews but our experience was so awful it was worth taking the time. The customer service could have not been worse, I saw the way that they treated not only me but every other customers in the store with a terrible tone, demeaning, and with the zero empathy. Clearly everyone who works there hates their job. They push everyone to make online reservations but then when you show up they may not have the items in stock or they are limiting. The truck we picked up, was under Empty in gasoline. It also smelled like smoke. We had a lot of breakables and so on our online reservation we reserved many furniture pads. When we got there they said it was six per family, no exceptions. I made a separate call to U-Haul to see if anyone else in town could supply us anymore pads. The phone representative was wonderful and said I could have as many dozen as I wanted. I asked for two dozen and gave them my credit card. I got to the store to pick up and he pulled up my account and said I already had the six that were allotted.I highly recommend looking into alternatives, or going in and triple checking that what you order online they are able to give you when you show up on your move. Will be looking for alternatives to U-Haul in the future, this experience has been awful.

Centrally located and easy to get in and out of. I spent some time in a stressful moving situation talking to the women at the desk and they were able to help me donate my mattress right there on site. It helps to slow down and be thankful with the people who work at Uhaul.

While trying to check in I was asked for a secondary phone number. As I only have one, I was baffled by what to say, at which point I was told by the lady checking me in, ‘Girl, don’t give me attitude! Answer the question!’Really?? Will never use or recommend such an unprofessional location again. I’m absolutely appalled that such behavior is acceptable at any place of business.

I’m shocked over the deplorable customer service my partner and I experienced by an upper level representative at this location today, a middle aged white man with reddish hair who did’t bother to identify himself. We were notified that our U-Boxes had been delivered to this facility and showed up in person to resolve an issue caused by U-Haul regarding our movers that the company failed to assist us with over the phone. This volatile manager inserted himself into our conversation with the female associate who was helping us, and began to berate and yell at us, repeatedly interrupted us, shouted over us, told us there was nothing he could do or was willing to do to help us, and was so rude and disrespectful to that my partner finally walked out of the building to avoid further conflict. Meanwhile, the woman assisting us was in fact able to help resolve our issue. I’ve had a hellish experience with U-Haul over the past month, but this has been the most upsetting so far. I don’t know if this man hates women, brown people, interracial couples, or all of the above, or if he dislikes all his customers equally, but his behavior lacked empathy, professionalism, and decorum, and was entirely unjustified.

MAKE SURE THEY RELEASE THE HOLD CHARGE!If I could leave 0 stars I would. Uhaul conveniently forgot to release the $114 hold charge along with charging me the $43 dollar rate. Luckily I checked my card before paying. Now Im on the line waiting 20 minutes for customer service. Be weary if using this place.

Absolutely the best U-Haul experience I have had! Used the mobile app so easy after hours. They have a picture of the vehicle and all your stuff is inside locked and ready to go. Use the key box in the front of the building and you are off. So much better to move at 6am than later in the day nice and cool outside and we didn’t have to pay for a 24 hour Rental.

This place will ruin your day and shrug as if it’s your fault. Had a trailer reservation to move across the country and they overbooked trailers. Despite my on time arrival, they informed me my reservation was moved across town and by the time I made to the new location they had sold that too. Fortunately another location had a trailer half the size available for me at the same price as my original reservation for the bigger trailer. Oh well! I guess I’ll just find somewhere else for all this other stuff I am moving! A+ operations and customer experience. I award you 1 star!

I booked a hitch reservation to tow a trailer half way across the country. Well the part was backordered and with no real option Caleb the GM was able to move some things around and get me into a 10ft truck last minute. As we come out of this pandemic and people are short staffed take some time to step back and put yourself in those guys shoes.Thanks Caleb for all your help and coming up with the solution that will allow us to keep our move on track with not much more out of our pocket. God Bless we truly appreciate it.

The most unsafe location ever: DO NOT rent anything from this location. The employees here do not properly conduct safety inspections on their trailers. Ive been a regular Uhaul customer for a decade- and never have I experienced such negligence. I was given a 6x12 trailer for a one-way trip to Virginia- and 4 hrs into my drive, I luckily noticed in the side mirror that the right rear trailer tire was wobbling like it was about to fall off. (Id previously assumed crosswinds were causing the resistence I felt.) I pulled into the next closest Uhaul and had to wait 3 hrs for their roadside service- the tech was shocked that the hub itself wasnt damaged, given how severely bent the rim was. He also said he sees a lot of those.The tire had bubbled out so much that it was ready to blow at any second. If Id been a less experienced renter- I could have ended up in a major wreck, injuring or killing myself and/or possibly others. When the manager, Caleb Hamilton, emailed me in regards to my refund request- he refunded me 2/3 of my rental total without my consent- and when I replied to explain this negligence put my life at risk, therefore I wanted a full refund (I even offered for him to return the remaining third as store credit)...his flippant response was to say that a 2/3 refund was more than sufficient, being that I was able to complete my move. His cashiers are also incredibly rude for no reason and now I understand why. He sets a very unprofessional standard from the top down. Please do not use this location. There are plenty of other locations to rent from- and even then, please make sure to go above and beyond with your own safety inspections before making any long trips...Uhaul cannot be trusted with that.Im now having to file a dispute claim through their arbitration forms, to hopefully get my refund and to also file an official complaint against this branch. I was advised by their national lines legal dept- and its gonna take a while, but I refuse to let these people treat life threatening negligence so casually. The level of Calebs disrespect and disregard for customer safety is astounding.

If you want to wait in line for over a hour and get rude service then this is the place for you! Ubox reservations are very unorganized at this location for some reason. I was told by management thatif I didn’t like the way they ran things, to have my reservation set up at another location. Crazy!

Seriously go literally anywhere else. Did you make an appointment a month out? Doesn’t matter. Staff don’t seem well trained or particularly empathic. Can’t return simple messages or calls. Wasted two days trying to get a hitch installed.

Rented a 26 ft truck that had big safety hazards.Brakes were squeaking loud and pulling hard to the left anytime you brake, a good way to roll a truck.The ramp right support bar was completely broken, so if you put to much wait on the left side of the ramp it would tilt, good way to lose your balance and get injured while moving furniture or other heavy items.Battery light came on after leaving uhaul with the truck, I assume they cleared the code and pulled it out for me before giving it to me but who knows, it was an old truck that obviously wasnt well maintained.

Absolutely worst service I have ever endured with a moving company! My U-Box delivery was delayed, but only when I contacted them did I find this out! No one ever reached out to me. Then once again no delivery.... I contacted them again and now they are stating they actually dont deliver to my address! I made this reservation over a month ago and not ONCE was I told this. They had no problem taking my money though. Now, and only because I made a complaint, they will try delivering my U-Boxes on July 6th! I should of had my delivery on June 15th! No compensation, nothing to help accomodate theyre mistake. Worst company ever! I have file a complaint with their corporate office & the Better Business Bureau.

Caleb Hamilton. One of the most unprofessional managers I’ve dealt with through uhaul. I’m warning the public to stay away from this location. I had a terrible experience here, this gentleman not only threatened me but also displayed actions of someone with a guilty conscience when I challenged his words of theft, he was placed in position of management by uhaul and when the time came to use his “management skills” he failed terribly.

We rented a 26 foot truck and a car transporter for our 2016 BMW. When I picked up the trailer, I asked if it would make our journey from Austin, TX to Moorpark, CA. as the trailer looked like it had seen better days - 10 years ago! While driving through the Mohave Desert, my wife (who was following behind me in our other car) called and said she can see sparks coming from underneath the right side of the trailer. We pulled over at a truck stop in Ludlow, CA and discovered that the leaf spring shackle had broken and the leaf spring dropped to the ground. To make things worse, a flat bed tow truck was called in to get me to a hotel 50 miles away. When they off-loaded the trailer, the rear axle FELL OFF! U-Hauls inspections involve checking lights and tires... nothing more! BEWARE! This could have easily killed us and others following behind.

Then I was simply told by Caleb, the general manager, that it was explained, when not once was I told that I would be charged 250 dollars for not bringing the truck back to the same location. Gave me a uhaul with a nail in the tire. I drove 2 miles to my apartment and realized the tire was bad when I loaded my stuff in it. I went back to the uhaul and they refused to help me, I had to call the roadside assistance to change the tire which took an extremely long time. If you don’t care about your time or safety, go here.

Relentlessly understaffed on weekends. I’ve had storage units here for years and it’s amazing on the weekends it can still take thirty minutes to purchase a couple of boxes. Otherwise it’s a clean facility and staff are friendly, well trained, helpful

Stopped by to pick up some boxes. There weren’t any marked parking spots left, so I pulled into an entirely empty patch of the parking lot. An employee told me I couldn’t park there (there were no signs, btw.) I explained there were no spots left and I just needed a few boxes. He yelled at me and told me to park in the front - which I had already said didn’t have any spots.Don’t waste your time. Go to Lowe’s.

DONT USE THIS FACILITY. The roof of the truck was leaking on both sides. A couple thousand dollars of of bedding and a mattress was ruined and I haven’t even gotten a refund. Clearly the trucks aren’t being properly checked or maintained.

She brought my total from $20 down to about $10 just by recommending better and lower priced items. The staff here were always polite and worked in a efficient manor. They made both the move in and out process incredibly seamless.Also the facilities were always spotless and when you consider the amount of foot traffic and some of their less savory patrons this is no easy accomplishment.

They need to have 14ft trailers. this is a freaking hauling service and they dont have a good selection AT ALL on trailers. 14ft and 16ft trailers needs to become a thing at uhaul. Reservation for 20ft truck, they didnt have it when I arrived. manager blames me!? I have no time to argue and I am forced to take a 26 ft truck with no air conditioning almost cost me $500 for a 2 day rental instead of the approx $300 it should have been. And I got heat from the manager like I was on his time... and the time honored excuse for lousy management, its a busy time of the month... yea sure buddy thats what was said last time. Its more like a cop out for a poorly managed branch.

We completed Online Skip A Line forms. Arrived and had to wait in line. 🤦‍♀️ Tried to ask for help from a Uhaul rep in the back and his response was rude, Get in line in front and theyll help you. 🤷‍♀️ All the employees made great effort to NOT make eye contact. So asking for help was difficult.

Update: GO TO MANCHACA UHAUL INSTEAD! There staff is unbelievable! They are completely respectful and help you get the best service for your money. They are up front with charges and do not have hidden fees or try to trick you. We switched and used their services. Best decision ever. I taken all my corporate accounts elsewhere and it was the best decision truly.This facility has cancelled reservations intentionally and forced people into larger and not needed units. They double charge and then claim otherwise, despite statements, recorded calls, and reservation/contract records showing their errors. They are disrespectful in person. It is never a good sign to walk into the office and there are 3 people in front of you trying to remedy the exact same issue of being forced to pay double for units not reserved and lost reservations. Multiple BBB complaints have already been filed and now one more will be.

I will never use UHaul again, I will discourage everyone I know from using this company. I had a working vehicle before I used UHaul and now I don’t. A UHaul employee forced the ignition lock on my steering wheel and broke the lock, resulting in breaking my electronics. Can’t see how fast I’m going, can’t see how much gas I have, can’t roll down windows, use AC, etc.Been without a working vehicle for 3 weeks because of this company, and they don’t want to right their wrongs. Basically saying we broke your car, so what, next. Spent over 1k on my move with UHaul, and they broke my car. Shame on this terrible company.

Asked if I could park in the gravel when I picked up the truck. I was told that was fine. Returned the truck an hour later and- I am NOT KIDDING- got yelled at and flipped off for parking in the way. When I went inside to complain to the manager, he told me I was lucky I didn’t get towed. I never meant to inconvenience the workers, but I ASKED WHERE TO PARK. Very unprofessional, rude, and I cannot believe I got flipped the bird and a manager brushed it off. Wow

Worst experience ever. When I went to pickup the truck I had reserved online it took them forever to retrieve it. Then when I get the truck and the receipt they tell me they screwed it up in the computer and had me down for 2 days instead of one and they fixed it. They didnt give me a new receipt to reflect this fix however, keep that in mind itll be important soon.So I use the truck and its fine, I go to return it before the deadline I was given for one day and the back lot is packed so I had to park it behind literally about 100 other truck returns that apparently they hadnt gotten around to processing.Next thing I know I check my credit card and theyve billed me for 2 days when I know it should have been one since I returned it before the deadline. I suppose you could blame me for not having them print me a new receipt but Im not even sure that would matter because it seems they likely never got around to processing my returned truck for another day and just charged me for an extra day.So I contact their customer service and on the phone the lady helps me and seems nice. She says that its a common mistake and shell send it to her manager to fix. Well I guess either she never did or the manager didnt care so they never fixed the problem and the overcharges stayed on my credit card with no refund.Anyway stay far away from this place it is staffed by incompetent and uncaring employees and management. Before this I was a pretty regular U-Haul customer but not anymore.

I highly recommend this Location and the 9 foot cargo van was a dream ride, but I never thought I’d say that about a van. Virtually brand new.Thanks a lot Ross and U-Haul.

When I rented the Uhaul, I confirmed the mileage. There was one more mile on the Vehicle then was reflected on the contract. I went back to speak with the manager so i wouldnt be charged more then I used. The manager initialed my contract to confirm that the contract should have another mile added to it to reflect what the odometer. Turned it in next day to same manager and reminded him about the mileage because he had not adjusted it. He said he remembered. When reviewing my receipt I discovered I was charged for the additional mile. I am on phone getting refund. Quality of service is important and this location failed. Being charged a dollar extra can go a long way when lowering the quality of service

Had a really good customer service experience while buying packing and moving supplies. The clerk (and her manager) helped assess what I might need, gave some tips on things I might not have thought about, and even helped me out toy car. Having dealt with other U-Haul centers in the last, I expected VERY LITTLE and was pleasantly surprised at the experience.

Went to return a truck my daughter rented didnt know what she was quoted for the rental the guy checking in the rental gave me the price that he was charging her credit card didnt know he was charging her double(after the fact he said he missed a box to check on the app he used to check the truck in and said it was his mistake and said he didnt do it Maliciously and said he was sorry but now I really dont know,but I have one question what happens to all the extra money that they charge people???) what was quoted she was waiting for me to bring me back home but her card gives her text alerts on charges to her card so she told me that they were charging her double what was quoted so I told her to go inside the uhaul and dispute the extra charge this was on sunday (as you know there is never a manager on duty on the weekend)and when she went in to see why she was being charged so much and they were trying to help but they didnt have the authority to give a refund of the extra charge so they came up with the idea of rechanging her card for another rental and return then try to cancel the first charge but then that would have been triple charging her for a mistake that the guy checking in the truck did but she didnt want to take that chance that she would have 300.00 tied up with uhaul with her car note due today so the person behind the counter told her that the mgr would be there today and they would leave a note with the quote and what she was being charged because the person didnt know why she was being charged so much but today when she called to talk to the mgr even though she was told that they were going to have him call her she called me and said he wouldnt let her talk or listen to what she was trying to tell him(I dont know if it was because she is a woman)but she called me and put me on three way with him and her and she told me he was only trying to give her 39.00 but when I started talking to him he was listening now and at the end of our conversation instead of being charged double she was only charged 22.00 extra Im not saying we were 100% satisfied but I guess you take what you can get but me myself personally will never use uhaul again because the quote you get doesnt mean anything they will try and put as many extra charges that can so be careful and for your own sake dont rent over the weekend because the people behind the counter will try to help but cant and if they tell you to contact the manager on monday just know they just got you so just remember uhaul isnt the only truck rental place in town Penske truck rental and long horn rental also rents trucks

So we went in today like we normally do in different locations keeping or 6 feet and just because we didn’t have our mask on one guy screamed at us from the front desk now remember we were almost at the door so he screams at us saying we need a mask to be inside witch we didn’t have one at the moment since we were moving next thing I know I try to do my express check in and then they tell me no you have to go inside we explain to the guy that we are not from around here and don’t have mask next thing I know he tells us well I don’t know go to Walmart or something like really 😡😡😡

Vehicle was not ready when I ordered over 24 hours in advance online. But that may not be the fault of the staff at the store but with the online reservations. However, the staff got it ready quick and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Truck and trailer in like new condition. Drop off was a breeze. Would do business with again.

Terrible service. Absolutely zero customer service and extremely rude. I stopped by to get a propane tank refilled. I waited in line patiently for a good 10-15 minutes (not at all complaining about that part). Once it was my turn I asked the girl behind the counter for a propane tank refill to which she told me I was going to have to wait until the finish with everyone in line behind me. I turned around and saw the line wrapped around the store longer than the line I had already waited in. I asked her why I would have to wait until everyone else was helped after I already waited my turn in line. She told me that there are only certain people that are certified to do propane refills (understandable) and that that person/people to do it was going to be helping all the other customers behind me first. I came here, waited in line for my turn for service, and get told that everyone else there behind me is going to be helped first which is ridiculous. She was extremely rude and acted as if she could care less that I was there to be a paying customer. She could have handled things differently and been more courteous. As conveniently close as this place is to me, I will not be returning to this location or recommending anyone else to go here.

Terrible service. I called to rent a trailer about 4:30pm. I was ready to pick it up but the guy told me not to come until after 6:30pm. So I went about other business and drove there at 6:30 but didnt make it until 7pm. As it turns out, they close at 7pm. They guys were there but they refused to print the paper work. The guy actually shut the door in my face. Worse part is they pressured me into holding the reservation with a card and the guy said my reservation already started even though I cant pick up the trailer. Ive been trying to call coperate for over an hour. They dont answer the phone. Just sitting on hold. Terrible!

From leaving Washington in July of last year using uhaul in Tacoma to arriving in Austin and storing until finally settling and getting out of storage with uhaul at Ben White, I have had wonderful service with great customer service. I have since also had them install a hitch and I added one of their cargo racks. Caleb assisted me when I went in and asked if someone could assist me as I put the pin in wrong and it got jammed. Moving away from my beloved Washington was heart breaking and stressed me out. But to have people make the actual moving easier was fantastic. Thank you all. I am horrible with names but each person I had contact with were all very helpful.

Front desk service was adequate, the guys in the yard were great and got my rental hooked up fast. They return process was also super efficient.Maybe the front desk personnel should work the yard so they can appreciate how nice they have it.

They installed a hitch on my car, I should have done it myself. I brought the car back the same day after I noticed the muffler would knock against the hitch making a very loud noise. The technician argued with me about how my cars exhaust hangers are worn out. My car is only three years old with 22,000 miles, the hangers are in perfect condition. The technician placed the hitch touching the muffler. I spoke with the manager Patrick, and he wasnt very helpful. Patrick and the technician tried to find any excuse they could of how it was my fault. They eventually fixed the problem after I waited at the store for two hours with my kids. Worst customer experience Ive ever had. They never once apologized for the inconvenience and they treated me as a nuisance. Im glad I know a lot about cars, otherwise I might have believed their made up excuses. I will never do business at any Uhaul location again.

I reserved my U-Haul for the end of the month weeks in advance. I reserved it for Friday evening that way I could have it ready to go Saturday morning. I then get a call the day before Im supposed to pick it up (Thursday) and the representative told me that because it was really busy and somebody else needed the U-Haul on Saturday that I would have to return it on the same day. So I have to pick up the U-Haul at 6 oclock and return it by the time they close at 7 oclock? What kind of sense does that make? She did offer to work with me and allow me to pick it up an hour early on Friday.... She must be high or something if she thinks thats gonna make it better... I told her the reason for reserving the U-Haul on Friday evening was so I could have it first thing Saturday morning. I reserved a 24 hour slot for the U-Haul and I was being told I could have it for one hour. I asked to talk to the manager and he was pretty much just agreeing with her. These people need to get their scheduling in order. Theyve been in the business for long enough they should know that the end of the month is the busiest and all their U-Hauls will be going out so they need to schedule accordingly. So instead of screwing over the customer for Saturday they want to screw over the customer who had already had the reservation? And then threaten to charge me $100 fee if I didnt bring it back in time? How is that hundred dollar fee going to help anybody in the situation? These guys are a joke

Dude named Rob answered the phone and responded to my question with a burp (a pretty unimpressive one) and laughter.Someone has to be either high, drunk, or both to ever think it’s a good idea to belch around or to a client/customer.Funny thing is that the U-Haul phone menu said all calls are recorded, so jokes on him. I have corporate on speaker while I type this. :)

I rent trucks from this location often and have been very happy with the service I have received. They always respond politely and in a timely manner and have made the rental process very easy. I would certainly recommend them to anyone in need of a moving truck.

Be sure to make sure the mileage and gas of the u-haul is correct. Two weeks in a row the information was incorrect. I just happen to take a picture of the dash before I left (showing the clock and the building outside). When I was billed for 40 extra miles I contacted the manager but never heard back.

We were repeat customers and my husband forgot to check the gas gauge before we left the store. It only had 3/4 of gas in the tank and the paperwork said full. When we tried to explain to the manager what happened, he acused us of siphoning the gas out. We know it is policy to check the gauge, however, we all make mistakes. He still charged us for rhe gas. He has lost our business and I will tell everyone about his poor customer service.

Ive gone here on and off since we moved to the neighborhood in 2012. They are helpful when you can get help but 99% of the time they are slow and understaffed. But I think thats probably true of most Uhaul locations.

U-haul Canceled my reservation reservation with no explanation, warning or notification of any kind.I found out when I showed up at U-haul and waited with everyone in in for 39 minutes.U-hauls new policy is :Overbook 2 or 3 to 1 of reservations to actual trucks to ensure that they use100% of their trucksCancel every reservation that comes in conflict with each other due to the over bookingDo not warn the customer about this new policy.Do not notify in advance the customer about this policy.Do not notify the customer all at until they wait in line for 30 minutes to find out that their reservation has been canceled.Do not apologize to customer or attempt to get same truck from another store.Do not reimburse customer for their time and trouble.

Can someone please GoFundMe a moving company with decent customer service?Everything was great until the actual move-in date. I noted several times that I needed the UBox ready by 11:00AM on Sunday, September 15, 2019, but when my movers arrived on time, they were told that it would be a few hours before they could access the box. Consequently, they had to leave for another job. When I called UHaul customer service, they transferred me 3 separate times and did not resolve my problem nor could they offer me a direct callback number. As a result, I drove to the UHaul facility and spoke with someone in person who told me multiple times, Thats not how things work. How do things work then?

Your Ben White Location service sucks.1 counter person with 10 people in line.Further, when I check in after diminishing my move, the receiving clerk did not count the additional utility dolly and furniture dolly that I rented Sunday morning as being returned when I returned all the equipment at 4:30 yesterday afternoon.I have now wasted 4 hours this afternoon and will waste 2 more tomorrow.There may be some yelling going on if they don’t write this off as returned.What could have been a 5 star review turned into a 1 star review.Richard BergfeldA former satisfied customer from years gone by.

If I could put zero or negative I would. I used the key drop four hours after I rented a uhaul truck. Got charged for 3 full days. Still battling it out with my credit card company since the GM doesnt seem to care to call me.back after multiple times calling their call center. Super poor service and would NOT recommend going here.

One way move to Denver. Were told by employee that drop off location didnt matter, so she picked an arbitrary location and we planned on dropping off at closer location. Upon arrival at desired location, were told we have to drive to the original location or face $100 minimum fee.Employees must be trained on actual policies before sending their customers through a new city in a 15 uhaul. Will never use uhaul services again.

These people are here at 7am and some stay until 7pm. Their job is very different demanding...and they can get very busy. For that being said...they did their best
