Family came down for the weekend and I promised Grace in the gift shop that I would give her a great rating! Thank you so much Grace for your help as the gift shop and the Capitol Grounds are a great place to bring family and friends and perfect place for family to shop around for memorabilia. Gift shop has so many choices, it will not disappoint! The staff is super friendly!

This is one of the greatest gift shops ever! The Capitol itself is beautiful and the gift shop has many options to make sure you leave with something. The staff is great and the prices are ok. Like every other gift shop prices are not the best but you are paying for the location and the memory.

Its a pretty standard gift shop but I still enjoy it. SO MUCH TEXAS-THEMED STUFF, with flags and cannons and Crocketts famous You may all go to hell... quote, then biographies and history books and recipe books and Christmas ornaments and bowties and leather folders and sweets and Keep Austin Weird and stuff for kids and I dont even know what else.

Some very fun items are in this gift shop. While I was there I bought a texas-based Christmas ornament in July. Prices seem rather reasonable

Tiny, overpriced and not very friendly employees. They do have some really great items though. I love their Christmas souvenir ornaments!

The tour of the Capital was worth the wait. Spent too much at the gift shop but had fun doing so!

A+ a place great for tourists close to the capitol of Texas. Little parks and restaurants nearby. Good place for a stroll Center of Austin and lots of things to do within a drive. Local Dives nearby.

Be very careful of mail orders. I ordered 2 of this years ornaments. They were shoved into a too small envelope that the gift shop must have paid at least a nickel for the awful envelope. The bubbles inside the envelope would not protect anything. The ornaments arrived OK but both boxes were destroyed. Not UPSs fault but awful lack of care and packaging of gift shop. If you want something nice for a gift, make the trip to Austin and keep from being disappointed by their lack of care to ship.

The man who was at the cash register, receipt said Thomas, was the rudest person I have met in my almost 2 weeks in Texas. He should not have contact with the public. Im not the only one that expressed this.

The capital building has beautial stone floors &stair cases,the food is good &the gift shop has all types of souviners to take back home to family &friends.

Not of the place, but of the shipping charges for a small article from Austin to San Antonio=$9.00. Have been collecting the Christmas ornaments since their start. Found shipping charge ridiculous.

Visit the Capitol gift shop on 5/23/2018 @ 3:18 PM bought some Souvenirs and Ms Angelia H charge me for two snow globes!!!! So please before you leave the shop make sure to double check your receipt.
