A good selection of anything you want, IF you can find it. A little pricy but no where else in town has near the selection readily available. From full costumes to the last accessories you might need they have you covered.

Freaking LOVED THIS PLACE! I was in legit heaven!!! I couldnt believe how much stuff they had! From jewelry in the millions, drag, costumes, dress-up, cosplay stuff, drag/high heel shoes in BIG SIZES (I got a size 13 high heel) I was so happy with my purchase. I was also helped by a few employees and all of them were super helpful and nice. I didnt feel embarrassed at all for looking at high heels & trying them on. I even found some corsets and tried them on. Thatll be my next purchase! Im definitely gonna come back once I can somewhat walk in my heels. Lol. Great place to Express yourself and explore new stuff, youll most likely find something youll want or like! I felt so Welcomed and HAPPY just being there.

Found everything I needed with the help of great and knowledgeable staff.

All the clothes inside this store; are too overly priced. Even the makeup is expensive as hell. The workers are rude, and obnoxious. Some old, guy just stared at us all rude, when we came in the store. Instead of greeting us, I don’t recommend this place. The Employees here probably don’t make enough, but if you work in retail, it’s your job to be polite to customers. The owner should hire better people. Also The parking is ridiculous, so basically a waste of time.

This store is amazing! They have so many costume with every accessory you could possibly need. My sons girlfriend had been searching hi and lo for a plateau hat that wasnt too big and too expensive. Surprisingly, she found a quality hat that was perfect for her at this store!

The perfect store. Every possible selection from kids to adult to sexy time, from regular HALLOWEEN to vintage and cosplay build. The staff are friendly as can be, I spent half the time talking about dragoncon with them instead of checking out lol. Definitely check it out. You wont regret it.

This store was a really fun experience for me and my girlfriend, its a giant costume shop but also a second hand shop for unique clothing and accessories. You can get lost in this store theres so much stuff, and the staff were all very friendly

Been to Lucy in Disguise before and went in again today wearing a face shield due to my asthma. Eventually I was approached about wearing a mask...no one was rude or anything and I explained my situation. However, I did feel sort of pushed out quicker because I think the staff felt like I would make others be aggressive if I didnt have a regular mask?This is after Gov Abbott rescinded his regulations and I was still trying to comply with the store rules. This was never a problem before. Its a shame because I really like the costume selection. In all honesty, if customers are upset at me for only wearing a face shield, why are they going out in the first place? Wouldnt it be safer to stay home? All things aside, just rather disappointed with the reasoning.

They have some very inexpensive earrings there that I like to buy also they will change the earring to us snap on for free and I like that for my granddaughter! Their costumes are just outrageous theyre so beautiful I love just looking around in there!

This is the best costume store that I’ve been to in years. The selection here is much better than the ones at the grocery store or thrift stores. I’ve come here a couple times to browse before, but for Halloween, this was my first choice to go to.There’s a wide selection of costumes, accessories, and jewelry to choose from. Many of the items there are available to rent / buy. They have dressing rooms with staff to assist you. From Dracula to Santa Claus, I think you can probably find what you’re looking for.My only only complaint is sizing. I couldn’t always find my size in certain costumes. Someone probably got to it first, but I made do with what I could find. :)

I tagged along with a friend on Sunday 09-06. She was wanting an amazing costume for this Halloween but didn’t have anything specific in mind. We asked a few employees for advice, and I’ve gotta say, Jeff and Miles hit this one out of the park. She bought her costume and was happy as a clam the whole rest of the day.Thanks Jeff & Miles. Historic costume shop in the heart of SoCo. This place has been helping keep Austin weird since the 80s and still going strong! Open year round for costume/themed parties and of course the #1 spot for Halloween. Awesome staff help round this place out really well. The crappy parking availability and the overgrown mom&pop shop style bring it down a bit, but half stars arent an option. An Austin must see for sure.

It was about two to three weeks before Halloween when I decided to dress up for the holiday. I checked online first, with familiar stores, but the costume that I was looking for didnt look that great. I asked the locals where I can go, specifically a mom and pop shop, because I love those kinds of stores! When I arrived at lucy, the employees were extremely helpful, despite how busy they were. They had different variations of the type of costume I was looking for, but none of them seem to fit me properly. then, one of the employees had a brilliant idea and took me to another section of the store. What he showed me was exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! I tried it on, and accessorized the entire costume! (And thats saying a lot, because Ive never done that before!) I decided to rent the costume, and the shoes that I had selected as well, and I bought all the accessories. (I will probably be able to use all of the accessories in the future.) Not only that, but returning the costume was a breeze! You have almost a full week to return a Halloween costume. All I had to do was take the costume back to Lucys, and drop it off. All they needed was my name. It would have been a less than 5 minute visit, but the guy who was collecting the costumes for return was very personable and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Lucy In disguise for all of your costume shopping needs! Definitely the place to go for costumes!

Very fun place to visit if you live in Austin or just visiting. A huge collection of costumes and props and some very creative people here to give you advice and help you find the right items or ideas. On our last visit the kids wanted to blend in with the Texas crowd so they got some huge cowboy hats and had a blast walking up and down Congress. Visit this place every time I am in Austin.

Amazing experience renting a costume here. The staff were friendly and helped me find the section I was looking for, then offered accessory options. The rental process is clear (if you have questions, just ask!), and picking up and returning was a breeze. Its also crazy affordable compared to what I would have spent to buy a costume. This place is amazing! The people working there are INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. Everything you could imagine for a costume or hair and makeup is here. This was my 1st experience w/the store this year. I walked in not having any idea what I wanted to dress as for a Halloween party. The associates were amazing & I was able to select a costume to rent in under 1 hour. the store was crowded but the associates made me feel like I was their priority. Each of them has their own area of expertise & works together as an amazing team. I look forward to coming back the next time I need a costume!

Great selection on a wide variety of costumes including well-made, unique, and one of a kind pieces for any event. The staff is diverse which gives the shopper lots of different tastes, opinions, and perspectives. They were all very helpful! I was looking for a last minute Victorian/Steampunk outfit for The Edwardian Ball in San Francisco and I only had about 30 minutes to get it figured out and the entire staff came together to help me select, size, try on, and check out. You can rent or purchase at this store. I chose to buy, which is a little on the pricey side but the item I bought was well made with high quality materials. I spent $160 for an outfit, but the same outfit could be rented for $35, which is a reasonable price for the item. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a specific, unusual, or unique ensemble, or if you have no idea what you want it is also a fantastic place to browse through and there are plenty of wonderful staff members that are willing to help you!

Wow this store is really amazing! All of the associates are super helpful and sweet. Except one, she has bleached yellow eyebrows, long black hair, she was the worst. Bad attitude, she probably shouldn’t be checking people out rather in the back folding clothes.

I was invited to a formal wedding ceremony with all the trimmings and didnt own anything formal enough to wear. I couldnt afford to blow up to $500.00 on a dress but Lucy in Disguise saved the day! Almost received as many compliments as the bride!

What a great store! We were on a mission to find clothes for the renaissance. Upon walking in the store, we were greeted immediately and the sales associates had great customer service. I had multiple people help me find everything I needed, and even managed to piece together a beautiful costume for the faire. My friend found a belt she loved on clearance, but it was broken. The manager discounted the belt even more because of the damage. Amazing experience all around. :)Lucy in Disguise with Diamonds has something for everybody. This place is just plain fun to go to. They have everything! You might be tempted to make an hour or two of playing in their costumes and accessories! You can put together an amazing costume for a party or event- even costume photo shoots. You have experts helping you with what makeup would work for the look youre going for and how to apply it. SO MUCH FUN! They even give you the option to keep your rental if you cant live without it.

Meh. Came in to browse and check it out. Had some pretty cool costumes. WAY overpriced though. A simple dress was $90 bucks. So we went to Goodwill and found my daughter a dress for 15 bucks. Score! This place is neat to look around but I definitely wouldnt purchase anything here.

Needed to rent some costumes for a renaissance themed wedding. We wanted to specifically dress up as vikings. The staff was very accommodating, helped us find what we need, and renting was easy. Only complaint I had is when coming to pick up or drop off the rental, it was a little difficult to find a parking space.

Very cool store! Tons of stuff. We were there for an hour and I still didnt get to see everything. The staff is exceptional! Theyll help you find whatever you need whether its for a costume party, halloween or just vintage wear. With the store being so packed, it was very clean and organized. Also, make sure to look at how the inside is decorated... very eclectic.
