An honest review,Cons: this place is way overpriced. If you are looking for something as cheap as goodwill, this is not the store. Some shirts had stains or rips in them that were being sold for 15 bucks. I could get a brand new shift for 15 dollars rather then a used ripped, bleached shirt. I did see a shirt that had a 5.99 goodwill price on it that was selling for 14. Like what is that? A lot of stuff is very expensive, Id recommend just going to buy new trending clothes or going to a goodwill.Pros: the store is nicely put together. Everything has a place to go. They have a good variety of shoes for them being used. The staff is very friendly and sweet! They have a good selection of jewelry and sunglasses there (which is the main reason I go). They got alot of clothing there to look through and find something you might like

I can’t over how terribly priced this stores items are. There is clothes from f21, hm, and fast fashion brands that usually are like 4 or 5 dollar shirts at other thrift stores and they’re like 16 to 20 dollars here . I couldn’t help but laugh going through the racks because of their crazy prices . 39 dollars for a faded dress ? No thank you . They also don’t offer a public bathroom which sucks if you have any sort of disability .

I love this store!!! It’s an amazing thrift experience but more curated than the average store so you always find amazing things in good condition! The selling option is amazing to get store credit, or maybe a little cash, to keep your closet fresh! The buyers can be selective but it makes sense when you see how much inventory they go through, and that they have to pay for every item of clothing. Always make a point to go and take friends! They also donate to amazing local non profits with clothes and money, BUT USED CLOTHING

Hurts me to write this because I’ve been shopping here since high school, but after few bad experiences in a row, I don’t think I’ll be back for awhile..First off, they changed the percentage of cash you get for selling (it used to be more), the quality of clothes they buy has significantly gone down, yet when I bring in great items there’s so many things they don’t take? Which leads me to believe there are inconsistencies with how they train their buyers. Or at least the buyers they are hiring now.Secondly, employees are not as nice as they used to be, not all but enough to notice. Managers I’ve encountered were really sweet and helpful, but other associates gave attitude and acted like they were pressed when I decided to return an item I just purchased due to significant wear I didn’t notice in the dressing room.Lastly, prices are higher than ever and I’m noticing more and more fast fashion brands and their Buffalo Exchange brand. Goodwill slaps every time and Pavement next door :(

They have a lot of selection for women but about half as much for guys. Ive found some cool stuff here before but theres been plenty of times where Ive left empty handed. You just have to be prepared to do some searching and come back a couple times before you find anything. That is the thing about thrifting in general but it might be different if they had a bigger selection for men.

This Buffalo exchange needs to pay attention to what they buy to then sell because I saw a decent amount of items with pilling and wear to them which raised big no nos. Also saw shein clothes being sold at a higher price than what can be bought for on the original website and this is the first time I’ve seen a Buffalo exchange price that way …. I do this they had a decent curation and selection of clothes and ended up finding a unique piece. It was still pretty pricey in comparison to other locations I’ve visited but I guess the location makes it pricey. Staff was friendly and helpful tho!

Looks like I wasn’t the only person who had a bad experience.Last year, I dropped my old clothes and snap backs to sell them. It used be a great place to make a deal with the buyers, but not anymore. A sales representative called me a few days later and said they couldn’t buy any of them because they weren’t trendy enough in Austin. I thought it was a hollow excuse to not negotiate price. What really upset me is that they already donated them to the foundation without my consent! In the past, they always asked me if I needed them back before they offered the price. I don’t know what and how did the owner of this thrift store train them? They just took my clothes and prevented me to pick them up!Overall, I was disappointed with their customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to everyone who’s selling their old clothes. I hate to see Buffalo Exchange ripping people off!

This place is run by complete thieves. I took in a pair of Buttercream Yeezys in fair shape to this location and they offered me $18 for shoes worn *maybe* three times in 3 years. The person as the front desk straight-up lied and said theyd probably only be able to sell them for $75, which is hilariously dumb. They had off-brand Adidas, the cheap kind youd find on mannequins at H&M, on sale for $30. The pricing system is completely nonsensical and this store only exists to rip-off students willing to pay brand-new prices for second-hand items. Im more angry about the insult to my intelligence than anything. If you want to thrift, go to an actual thrift store. If you want to buy trendy clothes, go to the mall and buy them new so that you dont get ripped off here.

I used to come to this location and the one in Denver 5 years ago. It used to be the perfect place to find unique, rare and vintage clothing. I could always count on Buffalo Exchange to find the perfect pair of gothic boots, punk jackets and wild items you could only find online. Those days are long gone. Buffalo Exchange has become a typical, “trendy” basic b**** shop for overpriced items you can find at thrift stores for half the price. It is much more like Uptown Cheapskate. If you’re a bland, yuppie socialite who needs some second hand office attire that is the same price as a new item, by all means, check it out! As for me and my bizarre, eccentric a**, I doubt I’ll return. So sad.If you’re selling, I would advise you to save your rare, unique and vintage pieces and try selling online. Their young staff does not really understand the value of well made, exceptionally “different” fashion items. So unfortunate.Check out Etsy! It’s an amazing place and you can find one of a kind vintage clothing and handmade items! Or, learn to sew! That’s what I’m doing now. Best of luck!

Cant say how many times i have shopped here, and have found some great deals...however:there has also handfuls of times where the store sold me damaged merchandise, ex: a shirt missing all its buttons which i overlooked when purchasing, or shoes with soles separating from the bottom. and would not allow me to return even within their 5 day period even with a receipt. the store would not fix the problems.I have also purchased items, and within a week or two realized it did not fit well or for whatever reason decided to sell it back, only to have it rejected. the items were always returned in the same condition yet it seems buffalo wont buy the same clothes it sells.today: attempted to sell grey suede boots, which once again were purchased from buffalo. the buyer said the boots were highly worn, despite having no wear on the soles. i asked where the wear was, he mentioned the suede looked ashy, but suede always looks this way when you rub it in one direction. the boots were nearly new, so no.it appears some buyers take junk, while others will not buy the same items they had just sold a week before.two words Buffalo: quality control.as a store: if you sell damaged items, will not amend the problem, and yet will not buy items in nearly new condition... then what is the point of shopping here.

Fun unique items definitely found here. I did find a cute vintage 50s style dress to wear for a 50s themed event. However for second hand clothes the prices were a bit steep especially with tops. Also everything is organized by size which is a plus, but I do not understand why they do not separate vintage (or older than 30+ years clothes) from modern style pieces. Sometimes you just want to specifically look for the unique vintage pieces but in this store you have to dig amongst loads of recent stuff. Other stores such as Modcloth, and Cheapskate, and even some generic thrift stores do separate the vintage out from the rest making the experience more enjoyable when you can see the selection all at once.
