Great store with lots of options for clothing and a variety of household itwms. Only downside is the staff members tend to hover but I guess thats kind of understandable, kind of... I dont like being asked Are you doing OK? Can I help you find something?every time look up from the clothing or make eye contact with another person. But overall, one of the nicer locations in North Austin.
I think all of the employees do a wonderful job and I hope they are paid fairly for it. Keep up the great work! -A regular
Found some good quality clothed for small ladies but nothing for big men.
Me and my girlfriend visited the store on W Parmer and one of the employees started flirting w my girlfriend and following us around the store. She even shoved her phone into my gf hands and demanded she input her phone # into the employees phone. She even made us call her to make sure we didnt give her a fake number. My gf was visibly uncomfortable. Telling people we were her new friends. She continued to follow us the entire time and even followed us to our car and watched us drive away. The employees name was Jamisha. Store has a good selection though just sucks we dont want to return again Incase Jamisha is there.UPDATE:She is currently making social media accounts to virtually stalk my gf. This is so wrong. How can an employee think this is acceptable?!? About to go to the store personally to complain. My gf keeps blocking your employee and Jamisha just keeps trying to add her on new platforms.
Ace was not to busy very few that was in there. They did seem like the employee was nice but not much for helping others really too much into putting out there product I guess. A few things I found was not tagged or looked like someone torn it off.
Nice big store, with a good selection. But, as a previous reviewer noted, several employees masks were below the nose and one was openly walking around eating with her mask dangling off her face.
Ive been here several times, before the pandemic (not a 4-star experience), and again recently after they opened to the public again (much better now). The store looks better now than before. The items seem like they are better organized, instead of just being thrown on the shelves. Even the books look like they have been organized. Yes, some items are dirty (figurines and housewares are usually dusty, sometimes stained, some shoes show heavy wear), but thats probably because they were donated that way. I always clean stuff I buy when I get it home, so this doesnt bother me (I usually buy stuff thats either in good condition or easily cleaned). Ive also seen items in very good condition (clothing and shoes), reasonably priced. To me, their prices seem reasonable overall. The employees have always been kind to me, and helpful. Looks like they put new items out daily. They have clothing, shoes, housewares (pots, pans, glassware, dishes, coffee mugs), artwork, luggage/backpacks, purses, decorative items (figurines, currently Christmas decorations are out), electronics, some furniture, books, CDs, DVDs, and more. Overall, a good thrift store.
Prices are clearly marked and the employees are helpful and friendly. Good experience!!! The only downside is that the dressing rooms are still closed.
Very nice experience. Cashier very friendly and nice.
I found what i was looking for easily! the store was clean and kept up with
The cashier with the lime-green mask and glasses: stellar work! Really wish I wouldve gotten your name so my wife & I could say thank you in our reviews, directly.Literally every other employee: masks not covering noses or just laying around their neck and not one attempt at eye contact.I actually watched an older man with a single tattoo on his right arm in his Goodwill shirt pick his nose while wearing his mask under his chin. Its not a diaper. And no one wants to see someone picking their nose on the salesfloor, then go straight back to putting mens clothes on the rack.I think well shop elsewhere until theres a vaccine.
Bad start to my day! This morning I went to donate 2 bags of clothes to this location and the gentleman working that donation bay, was SUPER RUDE!! I drove in, put my mask on, and waited, and he came out, no hi, no smile and I had to get out of the car and open the hatch to my car instead of him doing it. He said you need to open it all rude and demanding! What was the point of this protocol when I had to still get out and do it for him. Bad experience!
Always find something I like in this particular location
I finally found a pair of jeans that fit. Due to pandemic there isnt any fitting rooms open so you take it home to try on.They also have a great Halloween Costume selection.
Masks not on employees faces muchless the majority of the customers enter with caution and the knowledge that the line will take 15 minutes to move
It clean and smells good but but nothing good yet
Halloween costumes are out, and pretty reasonable prices, lots are new. Not as many toys available right now, but the clothing section was well stocked.
I like shopping here, as a student with a budget I can get some nice close at a fair price. So this happens my Mom and I came here to shop and she bough me some close, two shirts. I myself do not likes changing rooms so I know the size of my clothes. I went home and they where to small. I planed on taking them back and miss place the receipt. Then wow I found it. The story now takes a down fall as my Mom gift is wasted. I talked to a manager and she said I could not return the clothes because its over a week old. Of course I explaned to her my story. I even was wearing a shirt I bought there and told her I would buy a extra shirt; as a incentive. She completely refused. If management is incapable of make a clear choice for this business, I will just take my shopping else where. Where there are more compassionate people.I hope to be able to shop here again. As I said I like to come here but if this can not be fix I will just have to find someplace better.Concerned and disappointed,Nathan
Found two t-shirts I liked!
Unfortunately people were not wearing masks here. It’s shame because I used to love this goodwill but they aren’t enforcing the mask mandate.
Clean and organized but prices really reflected more pride than a thrift store should.
I recently moved to this area, and I’m definitely glad that this location is the nearest goodwill! They had a great furniture and home goods selection, so I’ll definitely be back! Just be careful with buying furniture here or other locations - make sure to completely inspect and clean once bought because I found loads of spider eggs and webs and actual spiders in the entertainment center I bought. Not a huge deal considering the price, just be careful. Overall a good experience!
Not many mens clothes but still found some cool stuff 👍
Nice staff and found some good deals as always
Well stocked store
Didnt find what I was looking for, staff there is pleasant.
One of the good ones. Sales people are kind. Just dont go to the one on where Goodwill training center the manager is rude and mean and will do anything to rip you off.
The Goodwill computer works became much smaller than before. Not worthwhile check any longer.
Nice and clean store. Staff was not helpful and seem annoyed with multiple customers
Place was good. Somewhat organized.
Great selection of clothes and the store is always clean and organized very well!
This is one of my favorite Goodwill locations in Austin. The staff are very friendly, the store is clean, and I usually find a shirt or a piece of art. If youre near this location, definitely check it out.
I love this store, its right down the street from our new place, great people, nice and clean. Only complaint is there was only one cashier working that one day we went but the other times it was a great experience...KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK
The cashier didnt greet me. But she did greet the white person behind me. I thought I was invisible. Also the merchandise is over priced.
Ive gone in once or twice and its set up well with a lot of good stuff. I like dropping off here because its so easy to get in and out. There is a drive on the side of the building so you arent having to drive to the back. Its very accessible and there is always someone there to help.
One of my favorite Goodwill locations! Quality items and well organized compared to most stores. They have a large furniture selection ( no delivery options though). Definitely worth stopping in.
Coming here is like going on a treasure hunt. I have a thing for 1960s to early 80s cookware and glassware and for that this is the place to go! You can get that edgy vintage look for a fraction of what you would pay at Anthropology or Crate & Barrel. Take a day off and do a Goodwill of Austin tour! I promise you wont be disappointed!
Drive through donation center!
What makes me give this place a negative rating is the slow service to have the cashier open the fitting room after waiting for 30 min. This is crazy! I can’t buy clothes without trying it on. I approached four other people who work here on the floor and no one can open up the fitting room except for cashier. How can the cashier check people out and open fitting room at the same time? Poor management and so will not come back!!! I haven’t even mention poor store lighting and increased in price for used clothes. Goodwill store has changed, and for the worst.
This location is great.
Employees are rude and pricing seems a little high
The store was a little dirty for my liking. They do have a lot of stuff maybe too much since things are falling off shelves. Sorry guys I wont be going back anytime soon in fact never
I found the best for stuff for really cheap! Free People Pink, etc. nice store lots to choose from over look the new stuff because they do have better stuff
This thrift store has a pretty good mix of all kinds of items from kids and adult clothes, shoes, and accessories, to old electronics. Reasonably priced stuff.
Great place they actually helped me with finding an item. Treated me with the upmost respect. 5 stars!
Clean, good AC, 5 dressing rooms and friendly staff. I always find something good here! Great selection of womens dresses, housewares and accessories.
Kids go through clothes every season!! Since my kids outgrow their winter clothes every year, I go to Goodwill to get gently used clothes. This years winter clothes wont fit again next year so this is the perfect place to shop on a seasonal budget.
Although this is a big location with a good selection, I was very unhappy with my first visit. I walked in and there was nobody around to assist with anything. I had to go to the cashier to get a dressing room because they were locked and supposedly the person that is usually there was nowhere to be found at the time. They allow 5 items at a time in the dressing room, which is understandable but when I finally got into the dressing room and turned the light on, the woman that works over there unlocked my door without knocking, exposing me to the guy behind her and she didnt apologize!! She also took the clothes that I had set aside to try on and put them on the rack to be put back out in their inventory! I was so pissed off. I checked out, told the cahier and she said that she would tell the manager. This place is horrible. Never again!
Nice place seemed clean. Needs to work on infant and toddler sizes separating
Its smallish and typical for a Goodwill store, complete with the disturbing trend of high prices for sometimes very used goods. For example, I am always on the lookout for older blankets to give to my dogs to use, and we found a used and slightly stained Monster High blanket... they wanted 14.99 for it.Sure, you might find a deal here or there and thriftstores are always good for those who need to find a bargain, but this one seems intent on charging full price for used items.
Love this Goodwill. Has really great rare finds and you can often find items that still have tags on them.
I always try to drop in when Im in the neighborhood. Goodwill stores in Austin vary, and this one tends to price collectible items a bit higher. I put collectible in scare quotes because Im not a dealer or anything; I just like things that were in my mothers kitchen. Anyway, at this particular Goodwill, Ive found a set of hatboxes, a bag of wool yarn, and a sewing machine cabinet on different occasions. You never know what youll score!
The place always seems a little dark; not sure why they havent turned on all the lights. Good selection of random stuff
Great stuff!! Mens selection here is better than some of the other locations I have visited..
Great place to shop great stuff, great prices what more do you need to know .
Its relaxing...you find good stuff...andIt keeps people with a job and the staff are NICE...Thanks to you guys...I have a place to shop🙏
Clean .. Smells good.. Nice ppl.. Assorted items. Great savings
Best goodwill in Austin on anderson
The prices are absolutely ridiculous. And everyone there is such an jerk. EVERYTHING is overpriced and when I complained to the cashier she said that everyone is complaining and the prices. They also ask you to donate when you are which is an even bigger rip off. WORST GOODWILL EVER
Every time I come here I am suprised at check out to find they have a sale running on already inexpensive thrift clothing. Have had some great finds!
The most poorly run goodwill Ive every been to. One checker when the line had 20 people in it. The other guy working was just standing up front looking at everyone wait.
Its one of the good goodwill store I have visited in a while spacious and good collection of items.
Good prices. Nice staff. Need more organization.
Rude customer service and maybe yall could provide paper bags or bags you can purchase similar to HEB and Walmart...huge inconvenience when youre not aware of the no bag policy...anyhow the guy behind the counter was such a jerk.
Such a great selection of nice things!! My fav Goodwill so far that Ive visited.
Friendly staff, clean store, nice clothes!!(:
Friendly staff. Reasonably priced compared to some of the other Goodwill stores in the area. Only complaint is how disorganized it is.
Huge thrift store with lots of stuff, mostly junk, but a few good finds if you spend some time browsing.
Clean store and well organized inventory, most things in good condition.
The kindness and good customer service in this location is gone. I had donated for many years I will pass voice to do not donate to this store.
Quality items at low prices.
Store is clean and the ppl friendly!!
This goodwill is located in a shopping center on Parmer right before the intersection at lamar/35. Always well stocked and organized.
Great place, nice people.
They do a purity good job at keeping clothing organized by length and width. This alone keeps me coming back.
This is a easy location to drop off your donations. Drive up to the side and somebody is there waiting to help unload your car, truck or van.
Well organized, clean, good prices and friendly employees.
Even though its used clothing store, everything is clean and organized. By far the best Goodwill in Austin!
Big fan of Goodwill. You wont find the highest quality stuff like you do at the GW boutiques, but you can usually find something to suit your needs.
Clean store and good selection. of housewares and books when I visited.
Filled with plenty of things for you that you probably dont need
Very nice staff, and a reasonably large selection
Oww just Oww nice I like to donate here
Great place to get paintings done by hand and donating as well
Nice clothes at a nice price, other bargains to and it helps the community.
If youre lucky, youll find some cool stuff.
Great selection and quality customer service. Will return frequently!!
Great selection and a wonderful staff. Make sure to ask what tag color is on sale that week so you can get an additional 50% off!
Some well priced upscale mens clothes!
Nice store with tons of merchandise. Friendly staff.
Alot of good finds!👍
Quality items from this Goodwill outlet and the staff, two thumbs up.
Sweet, helpful staff, found Totoro lamp, 10/10
Its your standard Goodwill, not much to say otherwise. Its a bigger one, so youll find plenty of stuff & things if you look hard enough.
As far as Goodwills go nice selection
Meh... not the best Goodwill in the area but it works in a pinch.
A little bit pricey place, but well orginized. Brand new and used items as well.
I am an avid Goodwill shopper and have visited multiple stores in multiple cities and states but I have never seen anything like this. This Goodwill was dirty, messy, poorly organized and the most disgraceful thing I have experienced. Considering it is in a city the size of Austin you would think they could find a manager for this store that had a clue. By the way, the staff at this store is just as disgraceful as the mess that hits you in the face when you walk in the door.
When I was there a lady found a $60 Lenox frame for $4.99.
Always find something I like!
