I have used them several times for repairs of the years. Went in yesterday with an entirely dead iPhone 8 Plus. Quick turn around to tell me that sadly it is DEAD-Dead-dead and a repair that requires more specialization. Recommended another provider and was super great talking over the needs and my options!10/10 would recommend!

I went here to get my phone screen repaired. They repaired it and then the phone screen stopped working less than 1 week later. I did not drop my phone or do anything to it. I called shortly after telling them there was a black mark down my LCD screen. I asked if I could go in the next day (which was Sunday July 4) and was told yes. I then went the next day and they were closed, which wouldnt be a big deal since it was a holiday--except I specifically asked the day before.After I went in on July 5 they refused to honor their warranty. I left my contact information and asked for a call back or an email back from management, I never got one. I then called a few days later asking what was going on. They said they would not honor the warranty because it does not cover any LCD physical damage. The on-premise manager did say he would email me the contact information of corporate to escalate my request. I received an email.I will say the people were polite through the process, but I feel like they did not honor the warranty and they were non-responsive. The $100 for a new LCD screen isnt the end of the world, but it bothers me paying for something twice when I shouldnt have to. While Im sure it is possible I damaged the screen somehow, I do not believe I did. I believe I was given a bad LCD screen. On top of that--they never followed up back with me or did what they said.

This store has an older location in the mall one to the right and one to the left which is the newer one near the Japanese grocery store. I dont know if its the same for everyone else, but the food was pretty good when I got it. Of course, its the same consistency as all of the Burger King food and the only thing that was wrong is that it seemed to throw the stuff was off work so that was a delay in taking my order and since I am much more of a grab and go person it did eat into my time a little bit since I was just expecting to just have my order taken and then wait. Apparently they were going through so much back and forth that I would dare say it was ever so slightly annoying to have to wait just a few more minutes, like maybe five or something to be served. And not really that big of a deal, and the stuff happens all the time. Honestly, just a slight pet peeve. However, the people are very very nice. All smiles and stuff, just extremely busy and they seem to be kind of stretched thin. I think they need to hire more people or something. Pretty good food and nice people, though.

Had several issues with the repair. Fixing one issue seemed to cause another issue. This caused me to return several times. I was told that if something unrelated to original repair broke that I would have to pay for a replacement item.I probably will not go back.

This place smelled like burnt plastic when I walked in.I shouldve turned around and walked back out and Id have been all the wiser.They charged me for a repair that didnt work: Told me the battery was damaged thou my phone turned on fine when I dropped it off. Non responsive touch screen was the original issue. $75 and 2 weeks later and still broken.AND I COULDVE JUST NOT PAID! THEY WOULDNT DO ANYTHING except keep a useless phone maybe.

My phone screen (Galaxy S6) had been cracked in a fall. Smartphone Repairz Austin fixed the glass of the screen very professionally, but a minor screen resolution happened a few weeks after the repair. Even though their warranty was expired, they replaced the entire screen free of charge, and my phone is now in perfect condition. Highly recommended.

I dropped off my S5 for to get my glass repaired. Glass was replaced in 3 hours. I received my phone back at 5pm and by 8pm my screen was turning purple and eventually blacked out. I took my phone back the next day when they opened and they told me that I cracked my LCD screen. They refused to hold themselves accountable for their faulty repair work. I know for a fact that I did not damage my LCD screen as the phone was working properly prior to repairs. I have since taken the phone to another shop and as soon as the saw my phone they advised that I had a pressure crack in the LCD screen due to overheating during the repair process of the glass. Smart Phone Repairz still refuses to fix my phone. PLEASE trust the bad review I am now stuck with a phone that has a nice new glass but a broken LCD screen due to this place. I would have been better off keeping the cracked screen at least I could still use my phone. My phone started to not function properly approx 4 hours after the repairs and they refuse to take responsibility even with a second expert opinion. It is obvious that they do not know what they are doing. PLEASE STAY AWAY. Sure the cost is very tempting but it is not worth it.

Ive had screen repairs on two devices - and iPad and a iPhone 5 - and in both cases the work was done while I waited or shopped in the nearby stores. Both were finished in about an hour. The cost is less than doing the repairs with Apple and definitely faster. Theres a comfortable waiting room with couches and coffee. Recommended Austin business.

The guy who took care of us this morning Pedro I believe was his name, was not only really polite but very helpful. And the best thing is that they told us that within the hour my iPhone 5c screen would be ready a lot faster than most other places I came here on a recommendation and because they had the lowest price, even though it was a little more than advertised they were super apologetic and honestly I didnt mind paying because my phone is like new. This is the definition on a good business fast, courteous and affordable.

DO NOT COME HERE! Their prices are appealing because they use the cheapest material and barely know what theyre doing. Took my cracked iPhone 6S in for a simple screen replacement and got it back thinking it was great, that night I started taking a closer look and the screen they put on my phone doesnt fit because its not even the right size screen, the top left corner is bulging out. The business should start raising red flags as soon as you walk in. The people are not at all friendly, the store itself looks quite run down, and nobody is there (and when people are, theyre complaining about the terrible work this place did on their phones). They pushed me off when I came in to confront them about the mistake they made with my screen. Oh we ran out of screens come in some other time and well fix it. Unfortunately, I dont trust them to touch my phone again, by the sound of everybody elses reviews, I seem to be lucky my phone is even functioning. The only reason they have any good reviews is because theyre clearly payed for. Other phone repair shops in Austin are extremely familiar with this places work. They are constantly fixing the mistakes from this place (if youre one of the lucky ones and your phone is capable of being fixed). The bad reviews are absolutely real. Take your money to ATX Cell Repair on Mesa Dr. He charges about the same amount as Smart Phone Repairz except he knows exactly what hes doing. Very trust worthy, unlike the dimwits at Smart Phone Repairz.

In December I went into Smart Phone Repairz in Austin. I needed a battery replacement for my Nexus 6p. I dropped off the phone for the replacement. When I came back, Smart Phone Repairz told me the phone would not turn on because there is an issue with the power button. I had to wait a week and a half to get my phone because of an error when being repaired.After I received my phone, it would turn off randomly and the signal was poor. I returned the phone to the same location. It turns out the phone battery was not installed improperly and was loose. I left the phone and had to return yet again because the store did not tell me that the antenna was nicked during the repair and needs to be sent to Fort Worth for soldering.After I received the phone, the battery once again started randomly shutting off. It is currently at this location because I am not letting them get away without a resolution.During this time I needed a new sim card and a replacement phone because an hour battery replacement took over a month due to the constant mistakes made by the store. The replacement phone cost me $108 and the sim card $10.I fear I need a new phone and they will not pay for the cost of replacement. The battery replacement cost me $60. If my knew they would botch my repair, I would never come here.I have repeatedly ask for the cost of my phone or replacement phone because they appear to have damaged to phone beyond repair. I also demanded to speak with corporate. The location refuses to give me a corporate phone number. They instead gave me an email. I contacted corporate by email to request a refund on the battery replacement and the cost of the phone. Corporate has not replied back. This is common with the company as they almost never contact me or communicate with me on whats going on.

They replaced the glass on my galaxy s7 but instead of putting everything together properly they put what looks like glue from a hot glue gun on it and called it good. The back of the cell as well as the front were falling off within the hour. I have to keep it in a case at all times to hold it together.They said the fix would be an hour but ended up taking 4 hours. The posted prices are also not the price. They overcharge and would note give an itemized price listI would find a shop that will do quality work. This one does not.

This place was a hit and miss for me. I went one day and waited almost an hour before they told me that they wouldnt have a screen to repair my broken one until the next day. I was given a quote of a little over $100. I went in the next day but they only had a black screen to repair mine, I figured that I might as well do it because I was tired of waiting. They fixed it in a little over an hour except I paid about $70 for it. I didnt complain because it was a cheaper quote than the one I had received the day before but I highly doubt that their prices for the same repair changed that much from one day to the next.

Fixed like new. Only took about an hour or so. Andrew helped me find a new case as well. I would definitely recommend here to go!

The blond female at the front desk was completely rude not to just us but to other customers. Talking to her friends at the same time she was ringing us up. Told 40 to 45 minute wait we were there for over an hour and a half. When the phone was actually done it was 40 minutes but were never called or told that the phone was done. She just let us sit there to hear her get into a argument with another customer. Completely unprofessional!

I took my s5 here to get the screen replaced and it took them 3 attempts and it was still so bad I ended up getting a new phone. They literally glued a new screen on leaving glue all around the edges and one corner peeling up. When I requested someone else to look at it, the second guy was appalled and said it shouldnt look like that. However they would have to order the part again and I would have to leave it. Came back to pick it up and the bottom back and app button didnt work or light up. They claimed it was already like that, again asked to speak with someone else. Every single time I went it was different people that all looked 18 and incompetent. I wouldnt even direct someone there that I hated. I took it to 1up repairs who said the repair was done so terribly it made him laugh and feel pity for me. From now on, I will always recommend 1up and never this joke of a shop.

I had to fix the screen for my samsung galaxy s6 edge. I called to see if they had the pice and they said yes, so I went to the store (which is not close to my house) to leave the phone. Once I was there they told me they did not had the piece and they had to order it. So, that was just fine. Then I went back when the piece was there and left me phone. When I got it the recent tabs button wasnt working, so I had to go back to the store so they could fix it. They ended up changing the screen which wasnt the problem and the part for the button too, but the screen had a black spot on it, so I had to leave the phone AGAIN and wait to see what happened. After that they called me to tell me that the phone was ready, so I went to the store. It ended up being that their screen didnt work and the recent tabs button wasnt the problem, but the actual screen they had put on it. After one week of driving there and back home they only refunded $20 back, and only wanted to give me 60 day guarantee after they told me the had been gotten defective parts! So, I complained and they ended up giving me 90 days. I dont know how bad they fixed the phone, but just after the guarantee ended the recent tabs button started to click itself and taking me out of apps, videos, calls, etc. They just ended up making everything worse. Not professional at all and I dont really think they know what theyre doing. DO NOT GO HERE. I wouldnt recommend it at all. There are many other stores who have better employees and a lot more professional staff dont risk it.

My phone had a busted LCD Screen and touch sensor was gone. It being an older phone I had to have the part ordered, it took a week to ship but the repair was done well and the phone is as good as before it got broken. Better because the part was new. Pot a bad price considering the repair and parts.

They fixed it at a competitive rate. Pedro is very knowledgeable and helpful.On another visit, they diagnosed an issue with my gps (iPhone 6 motherboard/antenna issue). However, they told me it may not work. I drove away & realized the gps replacement part was still giving me problems. I called them and they said to come back they would fix it at no cost.I was out of town for a month, when I came back to their store they remembered me and fixed my gps. Thanks so much!!

So so review here. Nearly 3 month ordeal.Took my wifes phone in to get screen fixed. They had to special order the screen and said they would call me when it came in. They never called. I called them and it had been in for days. Took phone in to get fixed and they said it would take 1 hour ish. I waited and it was like 2.5 hrs and they didnt really update me when they knew it was running longer than their commitment. Screen fixed but they broke the speaker so my wife could use her phone without a headset. They honored the broken speaker and said they would fix it but the speaker had to be special ordered. They said they would call when it came in. They never did and the special order ran much longer than the original timeframe they game. We finally get her phone all fixed and they honored their commitment.These guys have potential but they need to do a better job of communicating and setting expectations. Probably will go somewhere else next time.

Awful. Everything about it. I trusted the reviews on Google because they are typically right and now I wish I hadnt. They had never worked on a phone like mine before (Samsung Galaxy Alpha) and while it is a more uncommon phone, that does not excuse the crappy job they did replacing a simple camera lens. The part itself cost $4.00, they charged me $40.00 to order it and replace it. That in and of itself is not bad. The bad part is that after they told me they would have to take it completely apart to replace the lens, I let them keep it over night, and all they did was bend back the silver frame around the lens, remove/replace the lens, then bend it back on top. I can now feel the edge of the silver frame around the lens because it is so crinkly.If they would have just told me, we have never worked on this kind of phone, we dont know how, I would have respected them more. Instead they pretended like they knew what they were doing and did a crappy job. It truly doesnt even look like they attempted to take my phone apart.Such a waste of time and money. And prior to the shoddy workmanship, they gave me a constant runaround as far as when they would be available to fix it. I would call, they would say, come on in, its no problem. Then, after arriving, oh we dont have the part. (ONE TIME) or oh, the guy just left.) (TWO TIMES!) Finally I said, take it, call me when its ready. No call from them. I called and this is what I got.

I came by this place in hopes of getting my broken screen fixed and have left with such a poor display of professionalism. My screen was fixed using a glass replacement which was slightly larger than the stock glass from the initial purchase of the phone (which if it works, it works.) Coming in my only issue was my screen which was unusable. Now my charger port is loose. I first thought it was my chord so I purchased another, then realized it was the actual housing. As I returned to Austin I called them to inform of the situation and was told when I came in the following morning they could fix it for me, when I get there, they say its not our problem proceeded to lie to me and say now it works fine. Choose this place at your own risk or maybe after the employees have smoked a bowl or two...

Had my iPhone 6plus repaired, they fixed the screen but managed to break the speaker phone and I now dont get text notifications. How they managed this Im not sure. Bad customer service, they answer their phones when they please not when the customers are calling. I chose this plac based off of price and reviews and now Im stuck with a broken 6plus 150$ in the hole great!

These guys came through for me. They got my moms ipad 3 looking like new. If I had to criticize anything about this whole process was the lack of communication. The turn around to get fixed was originally 3 1/2 hours, but it took 3 days. We were in no rush to get it as long as it was done right, but just wish I could have got a more proactive call from these guys that things had changed. I was the one that had to stay on top of it to find the status.At any rate Ive had 2 experiences with these guys and its been good tech work on the repairs, so great job.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST: The worst service I ever experienced. There were three other customers in the store at the same time ..all were upset over service they were experiencing, from non-working phones after replair and twice the time to fix, when the repair guy came trolling in after a 2 hour wait to fix my phone. To add insult, they never acknowledged or apologized for the bad service when I brought it up.

1st off, if you just need a simple ipod/phone screen replaced you might have better luck than me here.I wanted to like these guys, but overall it was a terrible experience. I brought in my brand new fancy phone (with a hairline crack in the screen) to have it replaced. Long-story-short, and after 2 weeks of having to re-visit them I ended up with the wrong screen, which is still loose, and finicky volume/power buttons.They left obvious pry marks on the phone while replacing the screen, voiding my warranty with AT&T. I now have to use my insurance and shell out another couple hundred dollars. And no refund for the poor work they did.The price was good, but the service was not.

BEWARE! This place is very appealing with their prices but I can assure you that it is not worth the hassle. I would advise to go to Cell Phone Repair even though their prices are much higher. This is truly a case where you get what you pay for. I dropped my phone off to have the screen replaced (glass only). Upon pick up, I was looking at my phone to inspect the repairs and to the untrained eye it seemed fine. The problem was that the screen was not fully set down in place and soon after I left, when pressing the home button, the screen popped in to place, cracking the screen once again. I called to inform them of this and the guy told me to just bring it back by and he would take care of it. As any working person knows, it is not exactly convenient to just come by. Nonetheless, I returned to the store at 5 pm. They refused to fix the phone because the screen was cracked (voiding their warranty) even though the crack was a direct result of their lack of repair. After arguing with them for and hour and a half, talking to multiple people, they finally decided to repair the phone. So at 6:30 they start the repair (a job that they advertise to only take 30 minutes). It wasnt until 8:45 that my phone was returned to me (they close at 8). Again, to the untrained eye, the repair seemed to have been done correctly. However, they did not dry the adhesive that keeps the screen attached to the frame. I thought it would dry on its own but since it had not dried by 5pm the next day, I called them again and they told me to just bring it by because the adhesive would only dry under a UV light. That not being an option, I took it to another shop (CPR) and they were shocked at how bad the repair job was and began to point out the many things that Smart Phone Repairz did wrong and showed me a few things Smart Phone Repairz had broken on my phone. I had them go ahead and clean, fix, and repair the so called repair I had already payed for. I left CPR a very happy customer and will NEVER do business with Smart Phone Repairz EVER again.

Very poor communication. I was never notified of wait times for my phone and was forced to constantly check in with the store. I ended up asking for my damaged phone back because i cant wait 4 weeks for a repair. Predictably, they mailed it back several days after I requested so.This is unacceptable for any business, especially with zero compensation for time lost.I dropped my phone off on June 6th. Its now June 28th and I still dont have it. Im told Saturday? Awful service.

I had a cracked LCD on my S4, they fixed it in about an hour. Great service, it was an expensive fix ($200) but thats just what it costs. I would recommend them to anyone.

First of all, i’m not exactly sure how this kind of thing is supposed to work, but it doesn’t seem right. i brought my iphone 6 in because the glass was broken. quoted me an hour took an hour and a half and i got the phone back not so much as a scratch on the glass and under 80 dollars which is great. the most concerning thing is the actual display seems different. the brightness is only half what it used to be and the overall picture quality is fuzzy and weird.. i’ve had screen glass replaced before on multiple devices and this has never been an issue, but this time it seems like i got a lower quality resolution screen when i never needed anything but the glass replaced.. i was left confused.

Brought my phone in for a cracked screen, repaired it in 1 hr then I left and one of the buttons fell out. They got a new button in and replaced it 2 weeks later . 5 days after getting this new screen my screen cracked again with no drop/damage or anything to it. The Crack started in the middle of the glass. I think they are using inferior replacement glass. Asked them to have manager to call me about it and I never got a call back.
