We had a great time on the paddle boards! Mark was very thorough and helpful in suggesting which boards to try. The process is pretty easy.. if you like diy. Be aware that the amount of time from board pick up to actually being on the water is roughly a minimum of 30 minutes if going to town lake, which is the closest body of water. Sunset was a gorgeous time to get on the water..

This is awesome! I got the 2 person raft and it was awesome. Definitely not a dinky piece of inflatable junk - I kayaked for 6 hours straight and she was a study vessel all day, didn’t refill or anything. You pick up the items in a shipping container with codes provided after ordering. Very easy, convenient experience. If you’re used to waiting in a long line of tourists to get an hourly kayak rental, I recommend considering Greenbelt.

This was an incredible time! I loved how easy it was to go through a self-guided, self-serviced experience like this. It was so hassle free and fun! I loved how knowledgeable and helpful Greenbelt Outdoors was, since we were completely new to this and how we were able to see parts of Austin we wouldn’t have normally because we had the freedom to go where we wanted. Totally recommend doing this yourself with them! A perfect escape and nature date.

We loved it so much we went two days in a row. The self guided tour made us feel secure while also allowing the freedom to explore without a big group/guide. We had a blast. The only thing I recommend is checking your gear before you make the small hike down. Make sure you have everything before you leave. The owner will also ask you to do this to ensure it all goes smoothly. I will definitely be doing this again soon.

Awesome experience, service, and quality gear. Be prepared to plan for the timing of inflating your board/raft and possibly returning the carrying bag to your vehicle before launch as they are quite large for the raft. Repacking everything was a little tricky, but that’s to be expected with inflatable gear (just be sure to allow for ample time and patience). I’ll definitely be a repeat customer!

Mark and Mike were very knowledgeable about the equipment they suggested for our 4 person family. Wife and I took our 4 and 2 yr old out on the inflatable kayaks and it was AWESOME! Very good equipment, they flew through the water and light weight. Super easy to pump w the electric pump they provided. Very good price too. We rented for 4 hours and it was perfect! Awesome kayak rental. Self service, the owner is very responsive to any questions and was extremely fair when I accidentally broke the paddle. The inflatable kayak was good for going down some of the rapids in Barton Creek. I will definitely rent from Mark and Greenbelt Outdoors again.

We loved the Kokapelli 2 person inflatable kayak we rented from Greenbelt Outdoors. It was not cheap but that may be the going the rate in Austin and it was missing the fin and the manual pump (the staff should Have a checklist and do a double check before letting customers leave) But we asked for an automatic pump which was added in at no extra charge and worked great and Mark was very responsive and helped us a lot with picking out spots to go. I would rent from them again.

Such a great experience!! We rented the stand up paddle board for 3 hours and it was so worth it! The paddle board was sturdy and had enough room for us to sunbathe and relax on the water. On the way back, we were paddling against the current so we got back 40 mins after our end time. Darren was super understanding and nice about it, did not rush us at all and responded super quick while we were out there! Once we got back, he greeted us warmly and didn’t even charge us for being late. Great experience and great customer service!

If you’re looking to rent or buy this is the place to do it! I looked at serval different places. I called him he answered. Asked him a few different things decided to stop by. He has great pricing and a variety of different styles of boards. 2nd experience! I ended up needing a new pump for it he honored the warranty and replaced the pump no questions asked! If you’re needing to rent or looking to buy this is the place to shop! I looked at a few different places and this was the best place by far!

Bought an electric pump and the process was quick and easy! I’ll definitely suggest friends to rent here or when I want to try something new.

This was great, the only problem was, no one checks the boats after each return. So my kayak was trashed and it had no fins.. the fins really make a difference on the inflatable kayaks. But it was fun and I’ll use them again. Next time I’ll just check the kayak to make sure it has everything before I leave the storage unit

I am an experienced paddler with all of my own gear so I was looking for a specific type of guided tour. Although they had a wide variety of rentals and tours it did not meet my needs, I felt compelled to write a positive review because I reached out via Facebook message and the company was so so friendly and helpful providing me a wealth of information and suggestions elsewhere.

This is the spot! My wife and I had a few hours to kill but didn’t want to wait in line at Austin’s typical spots to rent a paddle board. I saw Greenbelt Outdoors and realized there was no line. In fact there were no people. Like a gift from Zeus himself, thy struck down a self serve drop zone to grab your gear. The process was easier than hitting 16 rotations on Tigers:Skip-It ™️ . We showed up to some high tech locks, did a thing and it popped open. Inside was glorious. It was like this is where the Honjo Masamune Sword had been hidden. We walked to our designated lockers and did that thing again. Pop. Bags and pumps were ready. I was ready. The plans were executing flawlessly. I should note this is top gear. The pump was like none I’ve seen before. This sassy thing blew our boards up within seconds. If this pump would have been around on April 15, 1912 bolted to the bow of the Titanic, you could have flipped it on for a few seconds pointing eastward and the purifying expelled gusts would’ve rotated the 52 ton Hog Mama of a ship stoping the unspeakable from happening. Pure power. The boards performance were excellent and the paddles were precise. This will be the place I use moving forward and would highly recommend to anyone that’s looking to skip the line and get on the water with the newest gear. You can’t beat the price either.Mark was incredibly nice. I had to call him for something and he picked up immediately and assisted. This guy has truly set up a brilliant thing here and we look forward to our next visit.

Highly recommend it! We rented inflatable packrafts to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the lake, and had an absolute blast.Mark is super helpful. Had such a lovely sunset paddle board tour with Mark and company! I came to the event by myself and was a little nervous as I have only paddle boarded once before, but instantly felt included. Mark was able to get us all out on the water easily with no mishaps. Luckily, we had a pretty warm Halloween night, so the colony did in fact take flight. Very cool experience being on the water, and seeing all the bats fly around the trees, across the water, and into the city. Would definitely recommend!!

Have had two experiences with Greenbelt Outdoors and both were great. First, I rented a Kokopelli Rogue Lite for a casual jaunt on the Colorado just below Longhorn Dam. For the second, I rented a Kokopelli Recon and joined Greenbelt Outdoors owner Mark on Barton Creek for his packraft meetup. Not a good place to rent kayaks and high prices so its not worth it if you want you can get less for a full day at one of the other kayak rentals and the guy doesnt respond very well letting you know not a good place to go too would never come here

Such a fantastic experience! My boyfriend and I drove 3 hours from Houston to Austin so that I could celebrate my 30th birthday. I was very bummed to find out that all of the typical stand up paddle board rental places were closed until at least next week. On a whim, I found out about Greenbelt Outdoors! Their rental process was so easy and efficient! I absolutely loved their detailed instructions and quick communication.
