Its not easy to find an affordable bridal seamstress in the Austin area; Im so grateful I found Leslie!I reached out to Leslie the first week of December in a complete panic - our wedding was New Years Eve and my dress was not fitted at all. I had picked up my dress after my final fitting from another alterations company (after spending ~$600), and was almost in tears as the dress just didnt fit. The straps were falling off, the dress didnt fit my shape at all, and the bust area was extremely baggy. My dress is fairly simple, but I wanted the wiring removed in the bust area - unfortunately, the other seamstress I used couldnt remove any of that and told me the dress is just difficult.Leslie took me in for an appointment 2 days after I reached out to her! When I went to her shop, she even had a welcome sign outside the door greeting her brides coming in that day (so sweet)! She immediately made me feel at ease letting me know she could definitely fix the bust area, take in the dress several inches, and tighten the straps. Leslie is warm, funny, and very professional in her work.I came in 2 more times after that within the next 2 weeks - when I came to pick up my dress for the final fitting - I felt like a princess. Leslie and her team did wonders to my dress and finally helped me realize why I purchased it in the first place.I cant wait to refer all my friends to Leslie as I was referred to her! I tried many places in search of a dress under $1000, and at Lillian Mae I had more options in that price range than any other store I had visited (including consignment bridal shops). I bought a dress, and after trying it on again at home, had a mini freakout about how I looked in it (as Im sure most brides do), and got back in touch with them. Leslie was extremely understanding and told me to come back in to find a different dress that I felt more comfortable in and do an exchange. They were SO kind, and clearly just wanted me to find the right dress. The dress I ultimately chose was still in budget, comfortable and beautiful. Leslie did a fantastic job tailoring it to me and adding some custom alterations to make it exactly how I envisioned it.TLDR - I love my dress, it was under $1000, and it fits me wonderfully, especially after Leslies alterations. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I ordered the majority of my wedding attire (dress, veil, rehearsal dress) from online retailers and I just needed a few alterations. I was able to schedule an initial consultation with Leslie and she was very upfront with costs and honest with me about the alterations she recommended. She definitely knows what she’s doing! At my final fitting appointment, I decided that I wanted to add sleeves to my dress. Leslie showed me a few different options and gave some pros and cons of each. The final look turned out beautifully! I highly recommend Lillian Mae for bridal alterations.

A small shop that gave me such a heart warming experience as a first time bride. I went here from San Antonio after they kindly ordered a certain dress months ago from a designer at no cost to me just to try on. Upon entering my consultant Brianna was kind and respectful. Plenty of dresses to chose from at a good cost. Went to other shops in town but in the end I chose the one they had delivered for me as it was my favorite from the beginning!! Never felt pressured or disliked any suggestions they had. Definitely a shop worth checking out for a wedding dress!!

This place was very different from the other locations I have visited in the past. I like that they allow you to pick through the gowns! I dont remember the name of my stylist, but she was very nice. She had blonde hair, and shes from the midwest! She was so great! I didnt feel rushed or pressured, and I enjoyed working with her.The gowns here are very affordable, and although I didnt find my dress I truly enjoyed my experience.

LOVED my experience here! All inclusive sizing, well organized by size, and visibly marked pricing. The ladies here are fantastic and I helped me feel confident in my choice. It feels good to feel confident about alterations because they clearly know exactly what they are talking about! Immediately referred a friend also getting married here and she found a dress too the same day!

I absolutely loved my experience here. The ladies were the friendliest and most helpful Ive encountered. They were so excited to help me find my dream dress and try different styles on. The store had an amazing selection of affordable and more expensive dresses, not like the boutiques that start at 2500. They had so many different gorgeous styles and hand-picked accessories that the owner goes out of her way to find from places like Spain. Leslie is a master when it comes to alterations. I did not buy my dress there but took it to her for alterations after recommendations from several wedding planners as well as friends who used her. She is upfront about costs and expectations and wants you to be happy. I was asking for something on my dress that she did not think could be done successfully and told me that, rather than taking my money and not doing what I wanted. She found a different solution and it was even better!I did not get my dress here but i love her shop and that the tags on the dresses are color coded so you dont shop outside of your budget. She also has big selection of jewelry at a really good price. I 10000% would recommend people coming here!

I took my wedding dress here to be altered for my May 2018 wedding and was not disappointed! I found Lillian Mae because of the great reviews online.Leslie was very busy (which is a good sign) but she was very detail-oriented in taking my measurements and making my alterations.When I went in for my fitting after it had been altered, some of the buttons for my bustle needed to be adjusted and she very quickly was able to get those adjusted within a week.In the end, my dress fit me perfectly!I had a great experience with Leslie and her assistant and would recommend!

I had such an amazing experience finding a wedding dress here. Breanna assisted in finding and trying dresses and the owner even picked a dress out too for me to try which ended up being a gorgeous choice. All of their choices were excellent and they have a great variety in their selection all at great prices (most fall under the 1500 range). They were very personable, made me feel important, special, and extremely comfortable. I had such a great experience I would recommend them to anyone!!

Leslie was so wonderful and I am so unbelievably happy I went with her for my wedding dress alterations! She did a wonderful job. She even had a GREAT idea to create a chain that would hook into the shoulders of my dress, keeping it from falling off my shoulders. It was beautiful and feminine and worked like a charm! Even with some staffing issues (that werent her fault) towards the end, she got my dress to me on time and it was perfect. I adore her and my dress.

I got my wedding dress altered here and it turned out so beautifully. It was a two piece dress with tulle, horsehair and a ton of beading on the corset top. The top had to be taken in to fit my chest better and it was done perfectly. The dress didnt even look bustled when it was! Absolute craftsmanship. I would definitely recommend this store to any soon to be bride. It was very fairly priced too! The fittings were always on time, easy going and stress free. She will tell you exactly what needs to be done and what can actually be done based on your dress type. Overall great experience.

Leslie talked it over with me and told me what was, and was not, realistic with some of my ideas and also offered up some other solutions. I appreciated that she was 100% honest with me. In the end she made that dress look like it was made for me. She was so nice and the back area is cute. There wasnt a huge selection but her dresses were more unique than the chain store I had just left. She offered water and soda and said to try on anything, even if it wasnt my style. She just wanted us to have fun and enjoy the experience.

Leslie does fantastic work. I showed up with a relatively cheap dress from Davids Bridal with an idea in mind for how to alter it to work for me and my wedding, and she did an excellent job making those adjustments: She added a sweetheart neckline, shortened the dress a good six inches, and added pockets (which definitely earned an ooooh! from the crowd when I pulled out my vows during the ceremony). Its been great watching her business grow over the last year, and Im excited to see what more she can do. Only qualm is that shes busy, so shes sometimes finishing things up during your appointment time, so get an appointment early!

Im always searching for local businesses instead of chains and had a great experience getting my bridesmaid dress altered! The prices were fair, the owner was very sweet and welcoming (she even writes her clients names on a Welcome chalkboard outside when they have an appointment which was really cute and personal), and my dress turned out beautiful!
