Beatrice was fantastic! I worked with her for two months on every little detail on my very challenging wedding dress. She was patient and went at the exact pace that I was comfortable with. Beatrice was professional and very talented. I would trust her all over again and loved working with her.

Beatrice did a great job tailoring my dress! I am very pear shaped and my bottom half is easily 1-2 sizes larger than my top half. She fit my intricate bodice and lace detailing/mesh backing perfectly and seamlessly. I know it cant be easy to realign lace! My only complaint is that she would occasionally comment on my weight, which isnt something I was looking for, even if it is in a positive way. But overall her work was excellent and she is a kindhearted person!

Was an awful experience. The minute I walked in she started warning me about her high quote!! She literally said “ wait until you hear my quote, you might want to learn to do it yourself” She focused on telling me that she is an expensive tailor ever before she learns about my budget. At the end of the fitting she asked for $750 for the hem only!!! I won’t recommend at all.

I needed to redesign my dress, Beatrice was able to help. She restructured the corset, eliminated the train and made the modern wedding dress I was looking for. Well worth the price and travel to north Austin.

Beatrice is absolutely amazing at what she does! I live in Corpus Christi and am getting married in the Houston area, and only found Beatrice in Austin because my fiance is temporarily working here...and let me say, Beatrices work is worth traveling for! I already had my dress altered by another seamstress, and when I got it back it was still big and she told me there was nothing else she could do to help me. When I took my dress to Beatrice, she was immediately confident that she could transform my dress, and she did! Beatrice is a perfectionist and gets her work done quickly. I am getting married this Saturday, and I brought my dress in last Thursday since I was visiting for the weekend and she had my dress ready before the weekend was over! I cant thank her enough for helping me feel perfect for my wedding day!

Beatrice did a phenomenal job with my heavily beaded and intricate bridesmaids dress for a Gatsby themed wedding. I needed it shortened about 2-3 inches and the bride wanted to keep the trimmed off fabric for pocket squares for the groomsmen. Her work was beautifully done, and she had the excess fabric rolled and ready for me to ship to the bride. She is so kind and I will be lucky to work with her again if I ever get married :).

I had the best experience on my bridal gown! First, I had no idea what I wanted, but after I went to Couture Wedding Gown Alterations, I was fully satisfied. The owner Beatrice made the dress pattern and design completely from scratch, uniquely for me. Hand beading and everything. I love my dress to this day...the work put into it was amazing...After being in Austin for 26 years and have gone to other places for alterations, I realize how important it is to know what you are doing. Beatrice made my most important day the most special time of my life! I will never forget the beautiful work she creates. The best in town for sure. Excellent work, I highly recommend.

Beatrice did such a lovely job on my wedding dress bustle! I wanted a ballroom bustle (where the train is tucked under the dress and completely unseen) and she executed my vision perfectly! Beatrice is an expert at what she does and you will not be disappointed with her alterations.

Beatrice altered my Vera Wang wedding gown for my wedding in the fall of 2014. Over the Course of 6 weeks, Beatrice fit the gown to my body and so much more. We redesigned the dress to fit my taste and shape perfectly. She added great suggestions and if i did not like them there was no obligation. It was a fun process. She did an amazing job in a short period of time.She took in the waist and added boning to the chest to make the corset stand and reshaped the sweetheart neckline. The dress has a tulle overlay so this all needed to be adjusted with each step. She also had to tighten the tulle sleeves without stretching the material. We adjusted the tulle overlay sleeves to be thinner and lay off of the shoulders more.The hemline, which had multiple layers of organza cut in blossom shapes and lines with horsehair, needed to be taken up. And she added a beautiful bustle to the dress to make for an easy transition to the reception. She was able to do this without loosing the design of the dress.The modified mermaid did not shape my body like I desired so she took the hips of the dress in and laid the organza to shape my hips. Since it was not made to lay tightly to the body she did all of this without bringing it too close so that moving would pop any seems or rip the dress. I was able to move and dance all night comfortably without having any problems.The dress came with a white veil which did not matched the ivory dress. Beatrice was able to make the exact same veil in the exact color of the dress. A fingertip length, ivory, tulle veil.She pressed the belt to fold thinner, tacked down tulle everywhere, and added so many small details that she didnt have to. Im so thankful she put in such effort for my big day. The finished product was great and it looked amazing.

Beatrice was awesome! She was super nice and funny and she did a great job with my wedding dress. Im busty so I needed extra boning in the bodice to prevent the pleats in the front from creasing oddly. She knew exactly how to handle it and it ended up looking so much better. I also needed my dress hemmed, and she spent a lot of time making sure the length was perfect all the way around.I brought my dress in to Beatrice about 6 weeks before my wedding and even though her place was full of other dresses she made sure my dress was ready in time. Beatrice is very detail oriented and she will make sure everything is perfect.

I would like to express my highest regards for Beatrice. My dress was a Lazaro gown and was a size smaller, being a Lazaro dress i was afraid of any alterations. However after all of the research i did, i decided to go ahead and book an appointment with Beatrice. She explained to me the entire process, she gave me the quotes and told me exactly what i could expect from the alterations. She kept the originality of the dress. Every one at the wedding loved the gown and could not tell that it had been altered.If you need some one to work on your dress, dont hesitate and reach out to her.I loved the dress and the results.

I had a great experience working with Beatrice. She was fast and her work was done with excellence. It wasnt cheap, but I knew it would be done correctly, so for me, the money was worth it. Highly recommend.Also--its easy to schedule appointments and fittings by texting Beatrice, which was really helpful for me!

Although I believe this woman would have done a good job altering my wedding dress, she is a total CROOK. My brand new dress needed a bustle and to be taken in, it was about a size too large. She quoted me an outrageous $1500! This is $300 more than I paid for the dress itself! Mind you, this dress needed no major alterations and no hem adjustment. (I believe her hem work is about $600 alone). I was just quoted less than $300 for my alterations at the bridal shop where I purchased the dress and believe they will do a good job as well. Brides continue to be charged too much for every aspect of the wedding, and this woman is no different. Do not waste your time if you are on any sort of budget.

My fiancee used Couture Bridal Alterations for her wedding dress. Avoid them like the pelage. Dishonesty and questionable business practices. I would never recommend anyone I know to use them for alterations.

Beatrice was great. I went with my friend to a couple of fittings and on the last one I was complaining about how the bridal store I got my alterations done at completely failed me. Being that the wedding was in Austin and I was in Dallas I didnt have time to get my dress fixed so I brought it to Austin as is. Beatrice overheard our conversation and stepped in. She told me to bring my dress in, shed take a look and see what she could do being as the wedding was the next day. And she did it! It was a minor fix but it definitely made a difference in the fit of the dress for me.

Rip off, unprofessional, unflattering, and many other words describe Beatrice Rodriguez.First, I had my bridal photos yesterday and realized I lost way more weight then expected. I have already had alterations for the side seam AND the length from a different lady. Im 52 so getting it to my height definitely took some work. I am getting married this Saturday so alterations needed to be done quickly. I called my original alterions lady and she was in chemo (I love her!) This meant I needed to find someone else quickly.Onto what happened.Beatrice tried to high ball me $950 for just taking in the side seam. No length modifications or anything. She kept telling me how cheap $950 is. LADIES I can honestly tell you I spent less then $600 for a fantastic job done by someone with way more years of experience. Please please please do your homework on Beatrice and shop around. She is NOT worth $950. Beatrice even mentioned that she was unable to steam the dress afterwards. This is a requirement when looking around. You dont want wrinkles on your wedding day.I went ahead and took my dress home and luckily my original alterations lady was able to squeeze me in for this week.Dont EVER feel like you have to pay an absurd amount for alterations. $600 or less is the going rate for way more then Beatrice offers.

Beatrice took me in one month before my wedding and was able to complete all the work that it needed on time. It needed hemming, corrections on the neck line, a corset, and a bustle. My dress was very heavily beaded and dont get me wrong I was a little scared at first because it was too tight and I said to myself how on earth is she going to fix it. We worked very closely together and I was VERY flexible knowing how urgent I needed to get my dress back. Please dont be a bridezilla to her, she is kind and REMIND her and TEXT her, she has a TON of brides she is working with! She is pricey, but you always get what you pay for! :)

I hired Beatrice Rodriguez to alter my dress at the end of November 2018 for a June 2019 wedding. Over the course of my appointments, Beatrice accused me of being a no-show at appointments (I wasnt and I write my schedule in a day planner so I had notes to reference), told me that I was mistaken on the number of appointments I had, told me how grateful I should be at the deal she was giving me ($945 for alterations to fit the dress and add a bustle plus a veil - $500 had been paid up front as a deposit - THIS IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN MOST PLACES, AND I KNOW THE AMOUNT OF CHOICES AND RESEARCH YOU NEED TO MAKE DURING A WEDDING IS EXHAUSTING, BUT DO YOUR RESEARCH!), asked me why I hadn’t already written reviews for her, told me exactly what to write in these reviews and how to phrase them, and implied that I was a difficult bride who was asking for a lot of changes. I think Im pretty go-with-the-flow but everyones experiences are subjective and you know, bridezilla trope, so make of this review what you will. I respect that altering a wedding dress is a difficult job and a seamstress has way more experience than I do at knowing what will work, so I basically agreed with everything she said and didnt have strong opinions on what needed to be done.After my third fitting (fourth visit to her - there was a consult) in March, Beatrice suddenly was demanding payment in full but had never told me that it was due at this particular visit. We looked over the contract (READ YOUR CONTRACT) and yes, it did say the payment was due at the second to last appointment (again, didn’t know it was gonna be this one). Beatrice kept giving different answers of when my dress would be finished, so I decided that this relationship was not working out and asked to take the dress that night. I left to get cash was willing to pay the rest of the balance, knowing that I was paying for an unfinished dress, but I wasnt leaving that night without my dress. Beatrice said I couldnt do this, the dress wasnt finished, I needed to sign a release form from her husband, I could pick it up next week, etc. I never raised my voice or said much beyond repeating Im not leaving without my dress, and didnt get into the reasons for this decision because I knew trying to rehash it was not going to be a productive conversation.Beatrice told me to get out of her house and that she was calling the police (she never did, in the end, but she told me that if she had, the police wouldnt have helped me and so I should be glad she didnt call). I went into the driveway and waited for her husband. Other people have posted different experiences, but he was nice to me and we made some small talk, I apologized for the interruption to the other appointment (had to leave to go get cash to pay the balance because I didnt have my checkbook on me/she wouldnt take a credit card, and I offered to wait in the lobby until the other bride was done, knowing that this was likely to be a scene). In the end, I got my dress, all of the pins taken out of it, so not fitted at all, and her husband did not have me pay the rest of the balance. Beatrices parting words to me were about how she was doing me a huge favor by letting me take the dress in its unfinished state.I dont want to be overdramatic here, but the way that she would turn everything around where I was the difficult one and I should be grateful to her is very reminiscent of gaslighting. This was a constant experience throughout my appointments, and in the end, the disorganization and unprofessionalism made me decide that this was not the seamstress for me.

I want to thank Beatrice at Couture Bridal Alterations for all of her hard work and putting up with me weeks before my wedding! I was on a time crunch from the day I purchased my wedding dress to the day of my wedding. I called several places in town and not one place I called could work with my time line so you can imagine my joy when Beatrice said she would help me and not to worry, just come right in is what she said. My husband is in the military and it was very important that my dress be altered in time since he would only be in town the weekend of the wedding! Beatrice was prompt, thorough, and a perfectionist! I was literally in tears the day of my pre fitting, my dress looked gorgeous and all I wanted was for it to be perfect on my wedding day. As we started talking about my vail (which I had not purchased yet), Beatrice said that she could actually custom make a vail to match my dress. I wasnt aware her talent extended beyond just alterations. She showed me custom dresses and vails that she had actually made and it really made me happy knowing I chose her business. After a few weeks, I had my final fitting along with my new custom vail and I couldnt be happier with the results! After my wedding and everything was settled, I took my dress back to Beatrice at Couture Wedding Alterations and she had it preserved for me.
