Took my 09 Maserati to get worked on because Maserati Dealership didnt have a clue, and Ferrari is no longer tied in with Maserati or Pininfarin. Called MooreSpeed and they said no problem bring it in... You walk in this place and I felt like Tom Hanks in the movie Big, its like my Hot Wheels / Matchbox collection came to life. These guys handle ther business on Tier 1 professionalism. They diagnosed the issue and had me back on the road. David and Winslow shoot straight, if u cant take it then this place is not for you, gone git! If u value your time and your vehicle the I highly recommend MooreSpeed.
Bravo Moorespeed Team! Winslow and The outstanding technicians preformed a complete refresh on my Greta, a 2006 997 C4S. The function, finish and detail on every part, system and wheels and tires is perfect. Performance improvements are spectacular and better than factory new. I have never been disappointed and Moorespeed will be the only place I ever use for any Porsche service. Their knowledge gained on track translates to superior, performance gains on street for any high-end auto. The detail shop did nothing short of a miracle detailing Greta bumper to bumper including removing the original clear bra. Greta is a knockout once again! Thanks to all and rock on Team Moorespeed!
It is quickly evident that the entire staff at Moorespeed is dedicated to providing the best customer service to all of their clients. I do not live in the Austin area but have used them on several trips to COTA for work on my 2010 Porsche GT3 RS. I have always been welcomed as though I lived next door and not 11 hours away. They have done amazing work in short periods of time from the simplest of issues like tires and brakes to complete motor pulls. And they make themselves completely available if any follow up is needed. Do not hesitate to use them for any work that you might require.
They hosted a dinner for Porsche Club of America and the Circuit of the Americas marshals who worked their races. So many gorgeous classic cars and race cars in their shop and an impressive trophy cabinet of champagne bottles from their podium finishes. Really enjoyed my visit!
A1a mans paradiseCool people
I took a 996 into these guys. I needed help with an airbag light after installing race seats. They agreed it would be done by a certain date and also that they would call me after two hours of labor time with an estimate. This was because, by their own admission, they werent sure where the problem was. They tried to reset the light first. They missed the first promised date, gave me another one and missed that. Then the third missed date I was told by Winslow that he didnt have a crystal ball and did not know when my car would be ready. He also explained that one of his mechanics was out sick. Meanwhile, a friend posts on FB how he just stopped in to Moore Speed to have his brakes flushed, on his Ferrari 458. Almost two weeks past the original date they call to tell me the problem is fixed and I owe them ~$600, they did not stop at two hours of labor. So, if you have tons of money and a REALLY nice car, it sounds like the service is great. If not, good luck with that.
A great place. Knowledgeable staff and clean shop. They do great work.
Excellent service. Good attention to detail. A bit pricey.
Great customer service and the best highend maintenance.
Moorespeed is a great group to do business with. I worked with Winslow Mankin, very knowledge about the vehicles, and all aspects of the customer service were top notch. The team went above and beyond what was expected. Wed gladly work with them again.
Good Morning,I wanted to write you and let you know about an experice I had with Moore Speed in South Austin. I have been having an issue with my 2008 Boxster hiccuping at around 4k RPM when accelerating aggressively. I was referred to Moore Speed and took the car there. They charged $400 for a diagnostic and told me my fuel filter (which is inside my fuel pump) was the issue. They quoted me $2100 to replace my fuel pump, stating that they had to drop the fuel tank to do it. I asked them how they discovered the fuel pump was the issue, and i did not really get a technical reply. So i basically put it into their mouths by asking did the fuel pressure drop when the car hiccuped? They said yes, they also stated that the car did it at other RPMs, which I have never felt nor noticed. They did not show me their diagnostic results or even try to explain what they found. I also did not tell them that I already knew how to replace my fuel pump and that the job takes roughly 2 hours. I was appauled that they quoted me over 11 hours in labor to replace the fuel pump and said that the fuel tank had to be dropped in order to do so. I bought my own OEM fuel pump and new o-ring. It took me several months to get around to replaceing it, as I have my opwn shop to run. This past Saturday I replaced my fuel pump and low and behold.... the problem is still present. I am writting you this because I feel More Speed cannot be trusted. I know the PCA has held events there, but I am very curious as to how many customers who do not know better have been taken to the bank? Have you heard of any other experiences like this? I would have been very upset to have pais them $2100 plus $400 for diagnostics only to still have the issue with my car. On top of all of that, they scratched the leather on my steering wheel. They denied it at first and then offered to fix it when I brought my car back for the fuel pump.I stongly feel that they never diagnosed my car. They ran out of time and since I had been waiting several days, they just told me what they felt the problem was. Very unprofessional expereince.Shaune Maycock
