I have 2000 Avalon. I took it in because of a Check Engine light. Charles was my service tech. They had problems solving the problem. Due to the age of the vehicle. And availability of parts.. I was offered a loaner car. They tried several times to fix the problem. It took several times to solve the issue. But they never made me feel uncomfortable. I was give a loaner car every time I took it back. I high recommended Juke Auto. Im a happy customer.

I’ve used Juke for many repairs and oil changes over the years. I recently went to them for some larger issues and they were hoping extremely thorough with their work and transparent on pricing. Tommy went above and beyond to make sure I got back on the road with my vehicle.

I was blown away by the customer service. MIGUEL was extremely nice and patient, and the other gentleman that showed me all that was wrong was great too. Unfortunately I dont remember his name. Long story short, I had a fuel system problem and electrical problem, along with multiple other smaller things, causing the car to not start. They were completely honest with telling me the price of what they could and letting me know, although they couldnt give an exact number, it would be around 2 grand. Usually I would take it somewhere else but they didnt push for me to get it fixed. Any other mechanic I ever had would try to push it on me. This was quite the opposite. I mentioned money issue for a sec on the phone and they took that to heart. He said they would fix it if I would like(give me a firm price prior) or since money is a problem they could wave the diagnosis fee for me and he could just tow the car free of charge, anywhere I needed it to go. I was extremely grateful and although I would have loved to give them my business, I just couldnt afford it, so I took him up on the offer. They definitely just gained a future customer.They were just so helpful and even though they literally lost money, Miguel made it clear to me it was completely okay and he understands we all have struggles and need a break at times. I left depressed, for this has been a tough year for my wallet and now I have no working vehicle to add to the fire. Juke Auto is proficient in fixing cars but fails as a TRUSTED mechanic. Expect a transactional relationship as you would from a claims adjuster, property management company, or cable provider.Ive been a customer since 2016, and Ive bared witness to the decline in service and bedside manner in lieu of ever-expanding garage bays and a staff of techs that could moonlight as surgeons, given how eager they are to operate. While the shop presents as a small, family-run enterprise, it performs as an industrialized assembly line thats fueled by diagnostic fees and kitchen-sink repair recs.Seems like they forgot to pack the humble nature of the garage when they relocated from the original Shady Lane spot.

I only rarely come in with work on my car, but every time Im so impressed by Juke Autos professionalism and communication. Ive never felt misled or overcharged, and they even provide minor inspections/touch-ups free-of-charge. If I ever need more serious repairs, Id have no hesitations coming to Juke. Honestly, I hate owning an automobile, but at least Juke relieves me of maintenance stress. Its also well priced for being so close to downtown. Thanks!

Juke Sold? Under new leadership? As a customer since 2013 its sad to say the new owners or managers are so bad. No more is the great Jukes around that got all the 5 star reviews. A year ago I had a terrible experience, a morning drop of for a car inspection to be done after lunch was not done by end of the day when I showed up to get my car and no one called me. I asked that Juke call me, I was upset..never got call, I called them left a message with person to have Juke call me, nothing. So now a year later, the same thing happens and I emailed on top of calling and requesting 3 times to chat with Juke. Terrible service and the recommendations were totally like a dealer. Brought my car to anther place and had work done at 30% less, on time and the owner reminds me of Juke back in the early days.

Great place to have your car worked on. Honest, fair prices, great employees and quick service. Our jeep broke down in front of the shop. They were very helpful and made the situation less stressful.

Took my Honda Element in to have a check engine light diagnosed/resolved and for an oil change. They did the oil change (kind of expensive, but thats only in comparison to what I usually do--jiffy lube with a coupon) and ran diagnostics including a smoke test. Diagnostics were inconclusive and they didnt charge for them. Made a low-cost recommendation for a fix and Im out the door a few hundred dollars cheaper than I thought it would be! I interacted personally with Rocco and Sal and they were both very cool and friendly guys

They returned the truck back to me in worse shape than I dropped it off, when I asked them to fix it, they still didn’t complete the service and tried to charge me twice for it. What a joke. They used to be great.

Best auto shop in town as far as Im concerned. They are kind and honest and transparent about everything. Rocco took the time to explain each maintenance issue I had with my Honda and walked me through what I could fix now and what would be ok to fix later once I could afford it. It was SO helpful, and now I have a better idea what to budget annually for general car maintenance. Really loved the detailed invoice: they really go through everything and it leaves me feeling confident they are taking care of me. The prices are very fair for a very high quality of work.

I normally don’t bother with reviews but this one felt warranted. As stated in previous reviews, they will charge you up to $143 for a diagnostic check. Made an appointment because my horn went dead and I learned the hard way after an hours “work” when I already knew what the problem was. So I had to pay them to tell me what I already knew… ok. You would think they would tell you on the phone when you make the appointment that this is their protocol. The bill is $143 for this and then who I’m pretty sure is the owner says “we’ll charge you half if you complete the job here”. What kind of business is this?!? You would think they would put the price into what will eventually be your bill and not play a game of dare. Never have I been to a mechanic that does such a thing! Lesson learned on my end when you read all the great reviews but they definitely lost a customer. No response needed, hopefully others won’t get the same service. Fun update: POPPED OFF THE FRONT OF MY CAR AND PUT THE WIRE BACK IN AND IT WORKS TOTALLY FINE. THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $300!!!!!!! F THIS PLACE.

I just picked my car up from the shop and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The mechanic who I worked with, Miguel, explained everything to me so well and I felt very confident in trusting his decisions for fixing issues with the car. Our daughter takes her car here. We live out of state and husband found them on Google about 3 years ago. He called them and explained the problem and they took it in right away. They have always been polite, respectful, friendly, professional and reasonable. They are EXTREMELY honest and hard working!We appreciate knowing that our daughter’s car is so well taken care of by Jukes!

I took my older Honda Civic into Juke because of a very loud humming sound it was making at highway speeds. They diagnosed it as a bad intermediate shaft (which no doubt did need to be replaced Im sure as it is an older car), so after waiting for the part they changed it out. After picking it up and getting it up to speed I was dismayed to find that the noise had not improved at all. Angry and thinking I was out of the money I had paid, I called them back the next morning and without hesitating they said to just bring it back in. They quickly diagnosed the noise as bad wheel bearings this time, and I was floored that they offered to replace them for free without me even having to complain just because they had not solved the original issue, even though this would have probably cost more than I had originally paid. Really thankful for these guys honesty and integrity and will definitely be returning!

From the moment I walked in, I was made feel welcomed at Juke Auto. They were thorough and honest when updating me on my car and at no point did I feel their assessment or prices were unreasonable. They work very quick and try to get your car back on the road as soon as possible. Set up and appointment for my 1999 Toyota Camry. Filled out paperwork with the year and make. Dropped my car off and a couple of hours later received a call that they no longer work on vehicles before the year 2000. Beware, as this is not listed on Jukes website and Techs are not informed. Very disappointed. My friend suggested Jukes, as she always takes her car to them for repair.

Heard several great things about Juke from a friend. I knew that I needed some pricey work done on my 01 Accord such as a value cover gasket and spark plugs replaced. The shop is clean and organized. Every one I worked with was easy going and took their time to work with me and talk me through the processes, pricing, and timelines. They gave me a ride back to my apartment. They quoted me a fair price for headlight restoration, which I declined, but they did it any way with out charging me or telling me. I found out when I went to pick up my car. :) I even got a hand-written card a week after my service. Juke will be the first place I go. Ive only found one place in the past where I could count on and trust mechanic and their shop, and this is number two. I think this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

This garage is hands down the best in Austin. I never worry about getting the wool pulled over my eyes. The owner is a great dude whos worked to build a space where his mechanics and staff can work safely - which works out for the customer. Ive never had a complaint and always recommend them to folks running into car trouble.

I will continue using Juke Auto for as long as I live in Austin. Ken kept me informed through the entire process of diagnosing my issue and resolving it. There was never a moment where I wondered what was going on or felt that I was being taken advantage of which can be rare in the auto repair industry.

Ive taken my car to Juke Auto for the past 5 years and have had a couple thousand dollars of repairs and maintenance done there, but on the past few visits service is on the decline while prices are rising rapidly.If you do take your car here, be aware that in my experience theyve been at least 1.5x more expensive than other reputable shops in town.Heres what bothered me about my latest and last experience there:I had a coolant leak and a check engine light and only had one day off from work for the foreseeable future, during which I could deal with it. I made an appointment in advance and brought my truck in first thing. I told the service advisor exactly where I had seen the leak coming from, left them the keys and went home.An hour later, I got a call from the service advisor saying that they wouldnt do anything unless I authorized $136 for an hour of diagnostics to check the radiator and another $136 to diagnose the check engine light. The advisor also said that it may take longer and there was no way of knowing how much the diagnosis would cost. I asked if they could call me if diagnosis exceeded one hour and was told no. Im now looking at a charge of anywhere from $272 to infinity, not including the cost of whatever repairs are required. If they had told me this while I was at the shop I would not have left the car with them, but at this point it was too late in the day to pick it up and get it done elsewhere, so I agreed.I was further upset when I asked about the problem code for the check engine light and was told that it hadnt been scanned yet. Checking the code is a 2 minute operation and any auto parts store will do it for free. Many codes will tell you exactly which part to replace, or even that the gas cap is simply loose. The fact theyre asking for $136/hr before they check if the problem is as simple as a loose gas cap tells me that their priority is racking up bills rather than providing good service.The coolant leak was found and the broken hose replaced, albeit at an astronomical cost of $600, which brings up a few other issues.At every shop Ive gone to in the past, the diagnostic fee is credited towards the cost of the repair and is only charged if you opt not to have the issue fixed. That is not the case here. You should expect to be charged at least $136 before any repairs for anything you need done.I was told the leak was obvious when they pressurized the radiator. The broken hose was readily visible at the top of the engine compartment and in the same area Id told them I saw the leak, so it didnt require much detective work.Trying to figure out why replacing a hose would cost $600, and thinking it was likely more complicated than it sounds, I did some research. It turns out its not at all more complicated than it sounds. Three screws, two hose clamps and 15-20 minutes and the job is done.I checked the pricing on the replacement hose at a local parts distributor and found that Juke Auto markup on the replacement hose part was 150%. The $45 part was billed at $115Im aware of overhead, markups & book rates and dont expect a bargain when I take my car to a shop - but 150% markups are not reasonable.I called Daves Ultimate Automotive, the other shop in town Ive gone to and got a quote of $360 for the same pressure test and repair. Thats 40% less than I was charged at Juke. In the past, Ive gotten quotes from both shops and Daves has consistently been at least 25% cheaper. On one estimate for replacing spark plugs, Juke was charging 1.5x as much as Daves for the same brand plugs.The check engine light was also not resolved, so Im still unable to pass inspection & renew my registration until I have an opportunity to bring the truck elsewhere.For people who rely on their car for work, finding time to leave it at a mechanic is difficult. Theres not much price transparency among shops, and once youve dropped your car off they can take advantage.If reasonable repair costs are a priority, youd be better off taking your car elsewhere.

They were so very helpful. As visitors to Austin we werent real sure as to what to do. We had noticed something hanging down under the engine and were concerned about a 750 mile trip back home. Our daughter made us an appointment for the next day. We took our car in, talked to them and left. Several hours later called us and said the way we tied the piece up was exactly what needed to be done and that we were all good. Also fantastic was no charge. How rare is that, they checked the car out, examined it, filled fluids if necessary and sent us on our way. What a great experience!

This is without a doubt the BEST mechanic shop in Austin and possibly so far in my book all of Texas (not from here but definitely puts my hometowns mechanics to shame). NOT only did Rocco go above and beyond to do my brake engine light diagnostic but him and his team were able to quickly install new break pads. Theyre absolute sweethearts they even popped out this ugly dent on my door which almost single handedly salvaged my 2020!!!!!! Thank you so much for fixing my little mini, there is no other mechanic I would trust with changing my oil (been here previously for oil changes as well) or fixing my car not even the mini dealership you guys really do the most to ensure that your clients are both happy and safe and in these troubling times it means a lot. Ive been to Juke Auto twice recently (for unrelated services) and several times in the past over the years with either my vehicle or my wifes car, and they always have excellent service, communication, and you feel that they are treating you fairly and as a valued customer. Its hard to find auto repair shops that you trust, but this is definitely one of them I can highly recommend!

As a 20-something woman (who knows nothing about cars), I get nervous when I have to take my car to a mechanic for a slew of reasons. The mechanic at Juke was able to attend to me right away and fixed my (very minor) issue on-site AND showed me how to take care of it on my own the next time it came up along with some other tips. He also sent me on my way free of charge. They definitely just made a loyal customer out of me and I plan to recommend them to anyone else who will listen.

Just used Juke Auto for the first time, for an oil change on a 2014 Honda. I had met Juke at a park cleanup event and he was very friendly and down-to-earth.The experience at the shop was great. They were ready for my appointment when I showed up, and it took as long as expected (1 - 1.5 hours). Miguel was friendly and helpful. The waiting area and restroom were pleasant and clean (and pretty quiet). Nothing fancy, but nice and more comfortable than the average independent shop.The price for the work was pretty good. They mentioned a couple things (air filters) that were noted during the courtesy check, but werent pushy at all.With cars out of warranty Ive been looking for a few years to find a shop that I feel comfortable with, and this is at the top of my list.My one complaint, and this is not unique to Juke Auto, is that when I got my car back the switch for the headlights was in the OFF position. I always leave that switch in AUTO, because AUTO is magic (thankfully I figured it out that evening - in my car the dash is lit even if the lights are off, which makes it difficult to notice that the lights are off at night). When I went to a tire shop a few months ago they did the same thing. I guess every shop checks your headlights and their default is to turn them OFF when theyre done.

Fantastic communication and level of service. They even gave me a ride home after dropping off my vehicle. Feels good to have a new trusted auto shop. Would definitely recommend.

Oct 30 Went in for an oil change and now the undercarriage of my van is covers in oil I call to ask them to clean it they said they would call me back never didOk so today is Nov. 23 I went back to juke auto today and Dave made it right we found out the problem he helped me learn how to treat it and he made me feel better about my last visit! we are all human mistakes happen its how we respond to it and how we make it right that makes all the difference and Dave and juke automotive definitely corrected it I will 100% be back to this place because it shows me that my van is in good hands and that they are making sure my family is safe on the road from our family to yours thanks juke!

This place usually requires an appointment but they were awesome enough to be able to get me in without! They also offered a ride so I didnt have to wait there while they for my car into their schedule. Second time here just as impressed as the first time so far!

Great service. Dropped my car off for a special they were having and they said theyd call me when it was great. They called to let me know I should replace/fix a few things which made sense since I hadnt taken the car to a shop in a while. They finished everything ahead of schedule and the pick up was very easy. I will definitely be returning in the future!

Miguel was great to work with. Took care of my girlfriend. Stayed in touch & explained the problem. Did the work & took my payment info over the phone. Even gave her a loaner car, to get to work. Not the cheapest, but excellent work. We will go back there, if needed & highly recommended.

Juke Auto is absolutely amazing. Ive been having a lot of trouble with my car so I took it to the dealership. The dealership inspected my car, gave me a laundry list of things to fix, quoted me $2k to fix my car, and then tried to get me to buy a new car. That seemed off so I took it to Jukes for a second look and they completely fixed my car for $140, and told me aside from that one issue, my car was in good shape. They were very quick and communicated everything clearly. They even sent me a handwritten note thanking me for choosing them as my mechanic. Will definitely be taking my car to Jukes from here on out (actually just scheduled an oil change!). Thank you so much Jukes!!!

They didnt actually service my car due to the body work it needed. However, the man that helped me (shout out to the man with the red Vans! Sorry, I didnt get your name) was kind enough to recommend me to local based shops and a few others. I ended up finding a real good price with Twomey Auto Works whom this man had told me was local and been in business since the 70s! Love finding genuine and honest workers looking out for peoples best interest! Thank you Juke Auto!

These guys are great when youre there in person. Had a lot of body work and a number of others thing done. However, I tried getting a quote recently through Yelp. When I got no response, I called them and then they said they would get back to me later but never called me back. Dont bother calling them, youre best off just going there.

Juke’s shop is impressive! I have been to a lot of shops in Los Angeles. Juke is a really nice guy he gave my wife and I a tour of the shop. I am traveling to Miami and wanted to stop at a shop to have my car checked out. Juke and his team were very willing to help. They even gave me a loaner car to go get some lunch. If you want an awesome shop that will care about your concerns and take care of you, this is it!

Very good experience with Juke. Customer service is top notch & friendly. They are very good at explaining what needs to be fixed and what doesnt, and why. So I—a car non-expert—feel comfortable that they arent ripping me off. (The feeling of being hoodwinked is often at least as unpleasant as losing the money, isnt it?) The other thing they did to gain my trust is that when they realized they made a (very minor) mistake, they immediately corrected it. Unscrupulous car mechanics couldve just let it be, and I would be none the wiser until something happened quite a ways down the road. Highly recommended!

There isnt enough I can say about Juke Auto. My experience was everything one wouldnt think possible. The customer service was superb, literally every single member of the staff I came in contact with was very affable, accommodating, and helpful. The technicians, and certainly the ownership, were honest and thoughtful giving the very best recommendations on my vehicle, foregoing the potential thousands of dollars they could have made. My daughter and I were having car issues. We saw Juke Autos reviews and decided to take our car in for diagnostics. They provided my daughter a ride to work. They were detailed in their diagnostics and explained everything to us. They didnt speak down to us and after dealing with auto repair techs that were always trying to upsale on items we knew werent necessary it was a nice change.

Strong in diagnostic skills. No wonder a binder in the waiting room is full of thank you notes. One is from a preschool teacher whose tiny tots drew cars alongside a message of thanks for making it possible for their teacher to return to the classroom.The shop stands behind their work: shortly after an oil change, tire rotation, and fluid check, my 07 car developed a sudden antifreeze leak on a busy downtown street. The problem was a split in the side of a plastic (!) radiator. Since I had been to the shop four days before, Rocco sent a tow truck, asked someone to drive me home, and diagnosed the problem, all without an additional charge.

Having to have a catalytic converter and windshield replaced on my truck would have been a costly endeavor with the dealership I normally do business with. Had a cracked engine block on my Subaru Forester, and after doing some intense scouring for a good and honest mechanic, I came upon Juke. After a few calls, I took my car over there and had them replace the block with a new one. The repair time was quick, and working with Bo at Juke has been a real pleasure. Any problem Ive had after the repair, they have taken care of in a timely manner. They treat me like family, and theyre honest about their work! I would recommend anyone I know to go to Juke, even if its for something as simple as an oil change.As someone who has grown to never trust most mechanics, Bo and Juke have made me life-long customers. If I could buy the team a drink, I would!!

Got an oil change here recently. Usually go to the dealer bc they send coupons but the wait is always hours. I was in and out of Juke within an hour and they told me how much life I have left in tires/brakes etc which I really appreciate! I like that I could set an appointment for an oil change as well. Will be going back!

Unbelievably decent and HONEST auto repair shop! We had a vehicle towed on a Sunday evening there and left the keys in their drop box. By 6:30 AM on Monday they were on the phone explaining what the problem with the vehicle was. The repair cost was fair and well explained. They are one of the very best repairs shops in Austin, TX!

Five stars are not enough to express our gratitude for the service and the care that Juke and his team gave us for our unexpected extended stay in Austin. The coles notes version is that we where on a North American rode trip in our camper van. We had mechanical issues in Florida that where not fixed properly. We limped our way to Austin and this is were our gratitude began. Even though it was not Juke’s issue he received us as a valued customer and went beyond the call of duty to fix our van and eventually get us back on the road again. Juke and he staff are extremely professional, friendly, helpful, accommodating, gracious, happy and kind. We would be blessed if the rest of the world operated on this plan. Wow, what a shop owners dream! I would eat across the street at Dans and wonder about the impressive looking auto shop being built. Today I finally got to stop by and visit with Ken about a service quote. He treated me with kindness and respect even though I decided to do the work myself. I will remember them and their customer service when I am asked by friends for an auto shop referral.

This place is the BEST!!! Juke and his mechanics are super friendly, honest, and get the job done quick and cheap! They drove me to/from a local coffee shop while I waited, was finished hours before they expected, and charged me way under what I expected! Im very happy with the experience and will definitely be going back the next time I need work done!

I have been going to Juke since they were at the old location. They always provide fast and friendly service and competitive pricing. They even delivered my car at the end of the day and provide overnight drop off as an option. Ken called me several times to update me and they also let me know a few things that they noticed that could become a problem and needed to be fixed within the next 6 months to a year. Since I have a 10 year old car I really appreciate that kind of feedback.

When another mechanic was trying to rip us off these guys told us what was necessary for our safety. We have trusted & appreciated them, their kindness, fairness, & integrity over & over for years.

These dudes are awesome. They provided me with a quick fix and I was on my way. If I have legit car issues, Ill be bringing my car here just because of a great first impression.

This place is pretty cool. Great customer service. Neat and clean facility, and good, but maybe not the fastest service. I had an appointment at 8:30am. to get a diagnosis for a check engine light. I didnt here back about the diagnosis until 11:00am. But the repairs only took a few hours, even though they had to run to the parts house. So all in all this place is really good.(Dans hamburgers is across the street, if you like that place, its a good use of your time)

The service I experienced was excellent from everyone I worked with here. The team was prompt, polite, and I trust that they do right by their customers. They have won my trust, and I will definitely return in the future for vehicle maintenance.

Not necessarily the cheapest repair place but they do good work and seem honest. They are friendly and willing to work with you to help you understand issues and break down what needs an immediate fix, versus what can wait. Be aware that they arent open very late or on weekends, but definitely my recommendation for anything more complicated than an oil change

These guys are awesome. Have been to them on more than one occasion, and have always felt well taken care of. Their labor costs arent at all bad and they do good work. They are also one of the few places in ATX are willing to install a part that you bring in, rather than being forced to go through their parts ordering system. Highly recommended.

I wish I could give Juke 6 stars. Hands down the best repair shop Ive ever been to. Ive come here now 5 times with various issues with a Ford Explorer and Subaru Outback. The staff at Juke are incredibly friendly and honest. They are quick (for a repair shop). They know what theyre doing. Did I mention theyre just genuinely nice people? I even had to leave a totaled car in their parking lot for a week with zero fuss on their end as I worked through claims with insurance. Juke deserves every five star rating they are getting here, and I could not recommend them more.

I really wanted to like Juke and be able to recommend them to others. Unfortunately it just wasnt meant to be. Everyone working there was pleasant and very helpful- no complaints there, however the work they performed took considerably longer than expected, and I was promised I would leave inspection ready. Left the shop and drove over to another business to get my car inspected.. and failed. Because my back brake light was out. Only a minor inconvenience, but its disappointing that something as simple as that was overlooked by Juke when Id specifically talked to the intake (?) mechanic about getting my car inspected that day after I left there.

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. The team was professional and fast. Price was very fair. Waiting area was clean with good coffee. I will return!

I love this place. The people are helpful and friendly, and they dont mark up prices or try to sell you things you dont need. Most importantly for me, they always explain my cars problems & their proposed solutions with respect for the fact that Im not a mechanic, but also without that condescending, over-generalizing manner that some mechanics will have when talking to someone who doesnt know a lot about cars. Id recommend these guys to literally anyone.

Good honest mechanics. They dont take advantage of their customers and they have good promos. They have a clean and comfy waiting room with free wifi and a shuttle service. Only downside is no weekend hours.

I came here for auto-body repair and learned that they partner with Alliance down the street. A rep from both shops looked my car over and gave an estimate that ended up being the final total with no surprise fees. As a woman, I was super happy to not be talked down to at any point during the process and enjoyed my experience as well as the work completed.

I’ve been coming here for 9 years and they always treat me and the car with respect. Always get a breakdown of costs and labor too. Come to this shop for an honest assessment of your vehicle.
