I came looking for copper (a desk) and found gold. I dont know why, but it felt like I just travel back in time. It reminds me so much of what Austin used to be like. Nonetheless, it still represents a lot of what it still is now: An eccentric, outgoing and music town. Furthermore, the staff is very friendly and fun to talk to. Note: its very easy to get lost in all the interesting things they have.

Far out home fittings is a super cool store filled with all sorts of rad items. Anthony was super helpful with giving me the lay of the land, plus he was a genuinely cool dude to chat with. I ended up placing a down payment or a chair that Im super excited about, and I cant wait to pick it up.I had my eyes on some cool StarWars paraphernalia, but thatll have to wait for a future trip if somebody doesnt score first.Great shop, highly recommended.

They went above and beyond to build a really awesome dining/board game table out of recycled wood. Kept me in the loop throughout the process to make sure we were satisfied. Couldn’t be happier :)

Great store and the staff are great people. Wild selection of a million things in there and the inventory changes all the time. Bought a couch and a cool house plant there today

The gentleman helped me out and negotiated a price on an item but the store is very pricy even for far out items. Store had a scent as if a pet lived there. But you can find some far out items, as long as youre willing to pay for it.

What a great assortment of odds and ends, clothes, and furniture. I was looking for dining chairs and found a set that I liked but they were too tall. The manager cut the legs short for me and refinished the bottoms. Will definitely visit again.

What a great store! I was out running errands and decided to stop in, just to check it out. What a cool place, full of great finds for whatever you’re looking for—signs, jewelry, home decor, clothing, outdoor decor. I found some Jonathan Adler items and could hardly decide which I wanted to take home with me. Check them out next time you’re looking for some fun shopping!!!

This store has little bits of everything. Furniture, clothes, knickknacks, games, vinyl records, bags, shoes, and who knows what else. The man who works there is super nice and helpful. Definitely worth checking out.

Far Out is quirky, authentic, and so much fun to explore all the amazing finds!! I love going to this store. Also locally owned by some really cool folks who are passionate about the store.

This place is a gem of Austin. Filled with unique pieces, from the utilitarian to the more high end; super friendly service, including loading the car for me; able to offer choices right at my price point. Also, make time for all of the unique curios from through the decades that you will find here!

These guys are awesome and have gone above and beyond to be helpful. I highly recommend at least checking it out and having a conversation with them if you need anything. They take time and consideration to go out of their way to provide the support that will be helpful-- demonstrating numerous times that they arent just in it for their best interest but instead, to give customers a positive experience and a great day :)

Love this store! Lots of unique items which are changing constantly. Theyre also no waste so if you have a broken piece of furniture dont throw it away bring it here so they can give it new life. Prices are good and the owner is very helpful/friendly.

This place is great. Eclectic selection of furniture, art, instruments and media. Everytime I go here the owner is around. Hes very helpful even though he is one of the bussiest people Ive ever seen. He knows every piece in the store and has a great eye for quality. The prices are on the high side of reasonable but if you buy multiple things he will typically bargain. There are many instruments here that I one day want to own, once I have extra $$$. This store has the feel of a highly curated thrift store or a boutique 2nd hand store. Plenty of used but near new items. I will always love this place. Can I move in?
