A few years ago I would come a cross items some of the dealers would buy and sell for a profit. The store is filled with jewelry, toys, clothing. Some vintage and some antique. I enjoy walking thru the aisles and looking at the items on the shelves.
Thousands of square feet of antiques, collectibles and rarities to peruse and purchase. Its basically the Smithsonian of central texas antiquers: looking for vintage albums, books, photos, clothes, glass, metal or pretty much anything else? Youre almost guaranteed to find what youre looking for here. Even if you dont find what you initially came for, Im willing to bet youll find something of interested and probably at a decent price.
Great place. Lots of variety from collectibles, such as comic books and action figures, to vintage appliances, and more. They also have a fair amount of military memorabilia and vintage clothing. It was really worth the 30 min drive. Also, free parking onsite and they accept cash and debit as well. Only downside was prices for some things were above what they were worth, but for others they seemed to be below or on par.
The Austin Antique Mall NEVER disappoints. From my first visit to my most recent, I am always happy to go and I dont know if Ive ever left empty-handed.It can take hours to browse the store, depending on your level of interest and dedication, but there are literally millions of treasures here. My most recent (and currently second-most prized acquisition) is a portrait by S. Watson (who?) of three white, pudgy, ugly puppies, which I have had my eye on since the day after it entered the shop. I dont know why it exists, but it is now mine and will become a family heirloom.
This place has more clothing options than Ive ever seen at any other antique mall. If you are hoping to find a vintage something interesting in Austin, I would definitely choose this place over any of the thrift stores. You will pay a premium for someone else doing the curating, but the goods are here.I knocked one star off for the prices. I was hoping for vintage patterns, which Ive found elsewhere for unreasonably low prices, but the prices here seemed unreasonably high.Still, interesting goods and miles of vendors. Give yourself plenty of time here, they close at six and they mean it.
You spend a couple hours browsing through stuff here. Theres some good quality finds if you know what you are after. This place isnt for the bargain hunters though.
Tons of great stuff, but its just SO MUCH - takes 3 days to go through it all. Wish all of it was categorized into like items (like the irons are). Can be quite exhausting mentally and physically. Building tends to get hot and stuffy quick.
Great merchandise and friendly staff. Plan to stay awhile.
What a charming place. Many of the booth owners are walking around the place and taking care of things together. I love that they offer to help you find items throughout the whole warehouse. I also enjoy guessing what the items are that they have out on the counter. Great place for vintage clothes as well.
I was looking for an antique key to fit my antique tall secretary with hutch. A gentleman behind the counter showed me an array of antique barrel keys. I picked out one of the four keys that looked like it would fit and bought it. It worked! This antique mall has thousands of antiques. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. They wrap items in paper to protect them. If you find an item you want and arent through shopping, you can take it to the front desk and theyll hold it for you until youre ready to check out.Theres plenty of parking space. The place is next to a skating place and has a separate parking lot.The attached photo is the key and a little chest I bought.
I love this place. Always deals to be found! Staff is friendly and informative. The store is laid out to easily browse all the sections. Prices are generally pretty good.
This place is great for a day out with the kids, a date idea, or for the antique enthusiast. There are plenty of different booths here with a variety of goods for everyone. There are mostly antique items but there are also vintage as well for those seeking a particular piece of furniture or Decour for their place
Nice place to shop for antique furniture and and lots of accessories
Fantastic place to go treasure hunting, with a vast number of stalls covering a wide variety of decors and items. Youre sure to find something that catches your eye, but I recomend seeing the whole mall before making any purchases, as not everything is priced competitively, and you may find a more affordable replacement down the road.
When speaking to employees, theyve got good manners and are helpful. However, both times Ive been in here in the last two weeks, Ive been followed around in a pretty obvious way. Including someone coming into the restroom and turning the water on for two seconds while I was in the stall. I suppose I look seedy with tattoos, but I spent money last time and had intended to do the same today on a travel case I spotted last week. Rethinking that now. Kind of a bummer to get followed around at 35.
Very large store with antique and vintage items.
Enjoyed this place, it’s huge! Really great collection of vintage clothing, furniture, art from all over the world
Amazing. Spent 3 hrs browsing. Furniture prices were extremely reasonable.
Great place to find unique gifts and decor, or just browse around. The staff is always so nice, and the booths well maintained, interesting, and chock full of stuff. Stop by on a rainy day and bring a friend for a fun activity... just bring some spending money cuz youre going to find something you cant live without!
Fantastic selection, amazing sales going on, great prices, very friendly and helpful staff! Definitely coming back here!
The woman who checked me out this evening was extremely rude and condescending. I told her that a necklace I was interested in purchasing had a broken clasp and if the price could be adjusted— beyond a simple no, she made up an exaggerated price for what it’s “actually worth” and “that’s why it’s so inexpensive already” implying that not only was I being unreasonable but that I was being cheap. I didn’t expect to be insulted for asking if the price was negotiable on something that was broken. In addition to most things being grossly overpriced, I’d skip this place if you want to be treated with any modicum of respect.
Just a fun place to browse. Like jumping in the way back machine.
Went here on recommendation of a friend, as we have always enjoyed going and looking at antiques. Either just to look or to buy, since they have plenty of little corners to walk and peruse through, it takes a couple hours to go thru. Plan accordingly.
Absolutely fun. Staff very helpful.
Anything from framed newspapers clips from 1860s, vintage clothing from multiple cultures, cookware, outdated altas and maps of Prussia and the USSR.Prices are often a little higher than I feel appropriate, but having such a large variety in one space is worthwhile. It took me 2 hours to cruise through and I didnt even hit every venders stall.
I love this place. If you live antiques, youll love it, too.
Fun stuff and some great deals. Not great for furniture but always worth a look.
You can spend hours and not see everything.
First time to visit The Austin Antique Mall and we will be back. Great 5 Star experience. We bought a few things and had fun just looking at the large variety of items that we have in mind to purchase on future visits. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cute stuff 😍
Good mall in Austin, so many stalls, prices are a bit high
Its an antique shop
One of my favorite antique malls. I’ve bought a lot of great pieces here. Highly recommended!
Antique and bric a brac (jumble) are different. Its not because something looks old and precious that it is. Sometimes its only old, very often its neither of them. This place is a mall, do not forget that. It means that it is managed by people who take care of other peoples belongings who rent a booth to sell their stuff. In any way their are experts, and their are barely (if they are) able to bargain anything you may be interested in. So, if you flip the old fashioned artefact youre looking at, dont be disappointed or offended to see a sticker or a well known name engraved in the material (At Home, IKEA...). I will not say its all the time but its very often. For the rest, its old but not very precious. Still, you may find interesting things. If youre really interested in antiques, start right now building a true knowledge about craft and art. After just a little while, everything will be so clear that its gonna burn your eye at the least ray of light.
Bought nearly 200 dollars of Antiques and did not get A Thank you by the Man that attended Me. I dont know Im a Mexican American. Actually it was over 200 dollars.
Alot of amazing items. Can almost take a stroll through history in here. Not too expensive either
Friendly family owned antique store with vinyl records and hats, and benches.
Super cool atmosphere!! Better then just walking around the malls! You can find some interesting things. Good to check out on a rainy day!! Loved the idea of the store.
So unique of an antique shop!
Large variety but very pricey. Some areas were so crowded you couldnt enter or small paths where items were buried. Other areas were almost bare. Prices on a lot of things were ridiculously high.
Great antique mall plenty of parking easy to access from major freeway the mall has tons of great selections to choose from could spend quite a bit of time going through a the interesting items. If your looking for that rare thing you may try your luck her. I would definitely recommend this location for the antique lover.
It was great, and professional staff. A must see.
Huge AC bldg with many, many vendors. Next to a skating rink.
My friend wanted to visit and we loved it. You will find all kinds of things from photographers to mechanics. Plan to stay a few hours easily.
This is a really cool place
This is such a great and unique place! I found tons of items to help decorate my aunt and uncle’s house!
This place is huge! We spent 3 hours and still didnt see everything. Cute little burger stand and beverages inside as you could obviously spend all day here. Really liked that most of the individual vendors were onsite on Saturday so you could see the things in locked cabinets. Got very warm towards the ends but they had some fans going.
I love this place! My favorite store in Austin! Great prices and unspeakable treasures! I cant recommend it enough!
Its a great place to find something unique. The place is huge and they have a ton of stuff. The prices are a bit high, so you may not find a great deal, but youll find plenty to browse through.
Anything you could want antique-wise youll be able to find here! Theres a huge variety of things to get and look at, customer service is amazing and very friendly
Awesome! There is a little bit of everything here. The staff are friendly and helpful, one gentleman noticed I had several items in my hands and offered to take them up front for me! Not everyone does that. Bathrooms were clean, a little crowded, but no problem otherwise. Prices for most stuff were in line with other places. I will definitely be back.
Cool spot
Get place & prices.
Lots of stuff, mostly pricey
Really cool place to spend some time! I walked away with a fun Mickey plush - I collect a lot of Disney memorabilia - and it was totally a fair price. There is something for everyone here and the mall turned out to be larger than we expected! Worth a visit if you are in town!
Awesome place if you like antiques!!!
So much stuff there. You can spend hours there looking around. I am into old books for some reason. I wasn’t disappointed. Definitely worth the trip. Staff is friendly too.
This place is awesome! I found exactly the piece of furniture I was looking for and they will even help you load it. Antiques are so much more affordable than furniture from India or particleboard. They add so much warmth to your home. While I was there I found memorabilia for those hard to buy for people on my list
So disappointed after reading the other reviews. We are a couple from the Pacific Northwest who have traveled the entire country for both work an pleasure. We have shopped at many antique stores from coast to coast and everywhere in between. These prices were, hands down, the worst we have ever encountered! My husband focuses on antique tools and architectural type things while I tend to like kitchen, primitive and garden items. We have several common items that we use to get the feel of a booths pricing. One of these, in my case, is a set of four primary colored Pyrex bowls. I have seen these nationwide ranging king from $45 to $75 for a nice set. Saw these in two different booths here for $145 and $180. Makes me wonder if they have frequent half-off sales. That being said, this store is huge, so if you like to wander through aisles and aisles of poorly displayed glassware and small stuff, go for it! If you are looking for the trendy industrial and/or farmhouse look, go elsewhere!
Lots of different booths, many different styles of booths. Something for everyone.
Great stuff and service
Huge mall with a very nice selection. Dealers pretty much always have some sort of sale going on therefore youll be able to find a bargain on something fun to take home.I visit Austin once a month and plan a stop here each time.
So much stuff! Antiques of all sorts.
This mall never disappoints! Very spacious that it will take you hours to see it all! Just a great layout and friendly folks willing to help. Love it!
I love this place. The staff is friendly and welcoming; always willing to help and very patient as you look at things they have to unlock for you. There is crazy amount of square footage and many different items. They have a clean restroom and a water fountain and you’ll need it if you plan to venture the entire place. It’s huge. A bit pricey even though there are multiple vendors but check every once in a while for sales. I’ve found some great items for gifts and for my home.
First visit... Loved it! The folks that work there are very friendly and helpful.A nice mix of merchandise, something for everyone. Most booths a reasonably priced, and many dealers offered discounts up to 30% off for the holidays.Definitely recommend!
Give yourself a lot of time to peruse. Prices vary based on vendor. Its dusty, but the diverse collections are fascinating. If you like something, dont hesitate. This place is no secret! Open 7 days/wk.
I love this place! Ive been shopping here for a few years and have found some pretty unique pieces. Theres so much to see and go through. The only drawback is its kind of expensive. A lot of the booths offer a percent off though, so that helps. P.s. Plan to spend at least an hour or even two, its huge!
A great treasure trove! You want something unique, this is a great place to find it!
I like this place a lot. Even if I am not looking for any specific thing, I still enjoy hanging out there.
Lots of stuff to pick through and look at it however kind of steep prices. But there there are deals to be found and they have many things %10-%40 off. With that in mind just have a fun time looking around and be ready to pay up if you really love something you find. Its a little warm there in the summers just because of the size, its hard to keep it cool. Also it might be a good idea to bring a headlamp or flashlight because some of the corners, nooks and crannies are dimly lit.
Nice selection. Pricey.
You could spend all day here. So many interesting finds, its practically a museum.
Large variety of antiques, I really wish the booths were more organized though as finding price tags can be hard.
Great antiques mall. Outstanding staff. This is what an antique mall should be. Actual antiques, great prices, clean and organized. Bought a lot here. Will be back.
You could spend hours. A lot of cool things.
One of my favorite antique malls! The staff is so friendly and helpful.
Nice but very $$$$$
Lots of areas to look at. Some of the stuff is kinda pricey. Seems like with antiques, it is a roller coaster with pricing. Austin seeems way more expensive than other cities.
Huge inventory. Occasional find, must most things are run of the mill second-hand stuff. Prices are not very negotiable. Staff is helpful and friendly, but they do not own most of the items here, as people rent cabinets or bays for their items. Good place to kill a few hours if you like antiquing.
Massive place but well organized and friendly staff. Needed an antique armoire and I found what I was looking for! Check it out
Place is pretty big. Lots of Nick nacks. Some pretty cool booths. Between them all they basically have everything. Prices are alright I guess. I feel they may be a little high with little room to bargin.Plus on them for having the hours that they do. Open 7 days a week is pretty convenient.
One of Austins hidden treasures. HUGE inventory! Reasonable prices with tons of sales and specials! Helpful and friendly staff! A definite recommend for the nostalgic at heart.
This might be the largest square footage antique store in the city, and they have an impressive collection from dozens of vendors. I shop here for glassware and furniture on a regular basis and always leave with something. I would plan at least an hour or more to walk through this place.
Such a fun place to browse on a rainy day. Really unique items!! Not the best for bargain hunters, but great if you want a unique find.
Great afternoon of browsing. A great variety of familiar and not so familiar things. I cant wait to visit again.
Great place to look for vintage stuff of all sorts. Laid back place with many small spaces for antique vendors. Friendly, happy folks run the office.
I wii no longer shop here, as there is a booth selling signed Trump photos. This is an antiques mall, not a political headquarters. Plus, don’t we all need s break from the poisonous politics of our day? I’ll happily shop at the other antiques mall.
This mall has so many great finds. Great art, lighting, mirrors and Prince Albert in the can
Great Mall. Good sales in several booths. I found some treasures. Highly recommend this mall.
A lot of neat merchandise. Some booths are on the high side. But over all fairly priced.
So fun to visit and so much to see! Its a great afternoon to experience vintage and antique pieces. Great staff!
