I ordered an assortment of items from the deli and bakery and I was BEYOND pleased. Customer service and energy was outstanding! Excellent employees from the deli to the cashiers. Made my son bday super special!! Every single item was prepared properly and looked beautiful. The cake was THE BOMB!! Beautiful Black panther cake, choc covered strawberries, yoyo cookies, and a horde of chicken and tenders. Thank you so much the entire team at Howell Mill who made this possible. I truly miss my Toco hills publix. I enjoy eating lunch at a Publix and there is a guy at the deli by the name of Chris who seems to hate his job. They never have potato wedges, not sure why they’re never ready for the heavy lunch traffic or always out of food. I ask when they make them and they say “sometimes.” Why would you not have the hot item ready specially during lunch time? This place needs new management and friendlier staff wished I had a different local Publix.

A small publix in a quiet area. handicap parking is right in front of store (10 steps and your at the front door). Its in a good shopping area along with a Walgreens/petco/ chipotle/ups

Please pay close attention to the pricing of items, as they can be somewhat misleading. Also, I was in customer service for my entire professional career, and I find it baffling when employees dont smile or give the impression that youre not important. I dont experience this often, but I am clairvoyant enough to know when I am not welcomed.

Really appreciated how the cashier stood out in the aisle to indicate she was available. Also liked the fact that she had someone to bag the groceries who also had to do an item price check which made the check out procedure much speedier! Additionally, everyone who assisted me in the store was extremely helpful and friendly which made for a very pleasant shopping experience 🤗❣😇

I swear this Publix is one the best ones u can shop at. Its always clean including bathrooms. The staff aint always in your face, but when u do need help they anxious to help. Foods always stock and organized.

Maybe I just came at a bad time but from all the other publix’s I’ve been to this has to be the worst. Pick up time for my subs was 1.5 hrs and they still hadn’t started to make it when I got there. Check out lines we’re going into the aisles. On a hot day I did not like the wait.

I visited this Publix yesterday and was shocked at the lack of fresh produce. There were molded tomatoes on the shelf and every avocado was old, brown, and could have been crushed in my hand. I bought 2 salmon fillets and not long after cooking them, both my boyfriend and myself felt sick.I am so disappointed and I know times are tough but should molded food really be out on shelves? This is a beautiful part of town and have never seen a Publix in this condition. I guess I’ll have to stick with Trader Joe’s.

This is a smaller Publix (it replaced a Winn Dixie). The parking lot is not very big, and getting in and out of the shopping center can take a while. Otherwise, it is a good store.

Just had my Covid vaccine at this location and could not have been any more pleased by the terrific customer service and the positivity of the exceptional employees at this location!! You made my experience just wonderful!! Keep up the great work!!

I asked the manager to please stock Hansens Soda (Diet and regular). I gave them an empty Hansen can for the barcode. After 3 weeks, I came back for a follow up.... NOTHING. I retried 3 times over a year, Hansens soda is STILL not available at that store. Its available at Krogers next to Walmart. Hansens is a hard to find item. Publix is nice, and Krogers is ooookkkK BUT they sell Hansens!

Always clean, well stocked and courteous. The lines can appear intimidating but they move fairly quickly. Its a smaller store so some niche items may not be offered. Can always speak to a manager about addressing that. The sushi chef is fun and engaging. Subs are in line with the Pubsub standard.

I use to shop a krogers but Publix is closer to me i went in one day and the service i receive was Amazing! The workers are so helpful and friendly. now I shop at Publix everyday! Its so clean and easy to find everything. I especially have to say Judy and Austin always go above and beyond to help my family and I every-time we are there! They even remember us!

A well organized Super market. The well planned space utilization needs Special mention. They have an excellent variety of products some of which are missing in other Publix Supermarkets. This place is well maintained. They have an excellent collection of wines. Bakery products are also very good.

I dont think I had ever been to this particular location before this day. Probably because its in a very congested odd spot. Its a few blocks from Interstate 75 exit off Howell Mill in the opposite direction of where most of the stores are in that area.Its entrance is kind of weird because the store doesnt actually face Howell Mill. The good thing is that they have handicap parking if you need it literally at the front door. The store is on a smaller scale. Very tight. Overstock is stacked high above the shelves however I was able to find what I needed. I had a sandwich made. She was very courteous and took care with my sub.I found a lot of sale items that were in the circular. No issues with that and check out was a breeze. I also received assistance from a manager looking for some bacon. It was a nice experience.

BakeryOnly giving a star cause it doesnt allow me to give 0 stars. Do not try ordering a cake from the bakery. I chose a cake from their book, and we discussed all details and everything was written down correctly. It was a first birthday cake in shape of a number one. Again something in their book. I placed the order 3 weeks in advance for an 1130 am pickup as our party started at 1pm. I went to pick up my cake at 1130 and was told that it would be 10 more minutes until it was ready. I then glanced at the cake they were making for me and it was not at all the cake I ordered from their book. It was a rectangular sheet cake not a number one shaped cake. Once I said something she then proceeded to cut the existing cake into a number one scrapping off the icing because it was the wrong icing. At that point I told the manager that it wasnt what I ordered and would not be done on time, to which he said he wouldnt charge me and fix it in the next 45 minutes. I left frustrated and started to contemplated on not coming back for the cake because they were cutting corners and not making the cake I asked for. 45 minutes later my wife called to see if the cake was actually ready and they told her that yes it was done that they were working on finishing the design. To which she expressed her frustration on how did this have happened and what to do so that it wouldnt happen in the future. They said that it was a mistake but then that it was my fault because I told them the wrong cake. The order form clearly had the right information on it and now they were blaming me for their error. Needless to say we did not return for the cake as we were already late for our own party. So just when you think its bad and done we received a call at 550 pm (party was at 1230pm) when all our guests had left, from the bakery stating that they had done the cake from scratch and that it was beautiful and how we wanted it (the lady on the phone was actually very nice and pleasant) I appreciated the follow up but the day damage was already done. We didnt have the cake for our daughters first birthday and the lack luster customer service left a bad impression.

This is a smaller store. Ive only shopped here twice for a few items in produce. Limited variety compared to larger stores, same quality. Helpful, customer-service oriented employees.

Andi is the best sub sandwich maker I’ve ever had at any Publix location. Awesome customer service and she made the sub with love. This is my new go to location for pub subs!

Relaxing

I have ordered subs online for pickup from this location several times and it is NEVER ready on time when I show up, even after the designated pickup time. I order ahead of time so I don’t have to stand around and wait. I don’t have this problem at other locations. Obviously not the end of the world, but pretty annoying.

I go here frequently to grab a sub after work. Every time I wait 30 minutes to get a sub after work when there arent many people in front of me. It just seems like they are disorganized and have trouble with orders consistently. As always the subs taste great though!

Still no wipes or disinfectant... Which, to be fair, is the same everywhere.Other than that, Publix is usually cool

Not coming back. I’ve been coming here for years but today had a bad experience. 4 or 5 cash registers were open and it was very busy. The lines were backed up almost into the isles. Mistakingly I went to the 10 items or less line. The two people in front of me also didn’t read the sign about 10 items. I had about 15 items and loaded them onto the conveyer belt. The cashier rudely pointed at the sign and said 10 items or less and made me load my groceries back in the cart and go to another line.I can spend my money at another grocery store and not have such rude customer service.

The store is clean and well maintained, but the selection has been pretty lacking. Its on the smaller end and I always fail to find one or two ingredients when Im making recipes. Great for a quick stop for the essentials, but I head up the street to Kroger when I have a big list.

Deli: Clean but not efficient, ordered a hot sub @ 1pm for 1:45pm.....arrived @ 2:10pm and the lady was just preparing. She also prepared it incorrectly and stated it would take 15 minutes to prepare it correctly. I ended it buying the incorrect sandwich at full price, I was on my lunch break....

Andi in the deli department is very rude I witnessed her yell at a customer in the deli department.

This Publix is awesome! I recently ordered a cake there, and it was absolutely delicious!The cake designer executed my vision wonderfully.I will continue to support this Publix.

***Bakery Review*** If I could Rate 0 Stars, I would. My husband and I went to this Howell Mill Publix to order our main wedding cake, as it was closest to our reception venue and we heard great things about Publix providing great tasting and affordable wedding cakes. We scheduled our 3 samples for tasting, came in and selected our cake details, and got our order on the calendar - everything seemed great. We went back and forth on decorations (flowers vs. pearl beads), and two weeks before the wedding we came in (for the 3rd time) to discuss ordering sealed flowers from Publix for them to use on the cake. Apparently we missed their order date by 1 day and were told to go get some silk flowers from Michaels, but they wouldnt put anything on the cake if it wasnt sealed. Weird, but we figured - fine, well figure something else out. We left there with plenty of other wedding details to take care of and Publix seemed good to go with a plain white wedding cake. No one called to discuss anything, no one emailed with questions, no communication whatsoever. Day of wedding comes along and everything is running smooth. Luckily I used a private baker for the Grooms cake, because Publix NEVER showed up. They were scheduled to deliver the cake by 5pm, and by 5:30 my husband was calling to find out where our cake was. A guy answered and admitted he saw our order sitting right there, but said the cake was not made. He was going on saying he could put something together, but by this time there was no point, our reception was going to be over by the time he could have done anything. We also didnt think Publix deserved a dime from us for pulling this move. I will never recommend anyone to use this Publix for a wedding cake. Had I thought this was going to happen, I would have used our private baker for both cakes and paid a little more money. You had ONE job, and failed. Thanks a lot, Publix at Howell Mill Village.

Miss the old manager John, newest team of management is ice cold, and not very friendly to customers who have been shopping there for years. I will take my business elsewhere, drive further for better service.

The store itself is nice, but it definitely lacks in the deli/prepared food sections. I have been there SEVERAL times and they NEVER have Mardi Gras wings, Orange Chicken wings, nor the full roasted chickens. These are typically STANDARD findings (in every other Publix in the US). They need to do better--a lot better!

The Publix team was very nice and helpful. I had over a 100 Cupcakes and the POLICE OFFICER that secured the outside help take them to my car and watched over me while I placed them inside the car. There are still People/Police Officers out there with a heart for the people!Thanks Public Team.

This is a fairly nice Publix. Theres plenty of parking, and the store has all or the inventory you would expect unlike the Publix at Atlantic Station.

This was my local Publix for several years till I moved. It gets stupid busy on Sundays so beware! The customer service is really really good my only problem is that they dont carry some items that can be hard to find like royal golden syrup.

Parking can be tough at times and theyre limited on ethnic items, but its a convenient location.

I LOVE PUBLIX. The food is great and the service is wonderful. I am here two or three times a week buying things from the deli and the cooked chicken. But the one thing gets me is their rotisserie chicken. I have bought it several times and I have been disappointed each time. I dont know why but none of the flavored chicken has any flavor. The lemon pepper has no hint of the lemon anything or the maple flavored kind, still no difference. I will continue to buy Publix food but I will fo ro Walmart for rotisserie.
