We hunted down this very difficult to find little treasure on our way through Atlanta. Again, VERY HARD TO FIND... (btw, it’s at Jamestown, on Ponce De Leon, second floor, in a little hidden area near the candy store)But, so glad we finally found it! Amazing staff, tasty indulgent flavors at a very cute well organized service counter. We’ll be back Batter!
We got 2 different kinds and they were both great! Cookies n cream and chocolate chip. 1 scoop $4.25 each but I dont think one person could handle more than 1 scoop due to the sweetness. They had 10 different kinds to try and taste as well. Its very hidden where it sits so make sure you ask where to find it.
So cute!! some of the best edible cookie dough i have had hands down. the $2 batter shots are perfect for getting a taste of everything. they have something for everyone including vegan and gluten free options
A small dessert location inside of the Ponce Marketplace. They serve up a variety of cookie dough batters, including vegan and gluten free options for those with dietary needs. I opted for the classic chocolate chip cookie dough batter and got the smallest cup they had cause we had just eaten a rather large meal and this looked really rich!We sat in the main area and enjoyed our desserts. This was indeed a very sugar, rich treat and very tasty! The staff didnt seem to thrilled that day to be there, but they moved the line quickly and had us through in no time, so theyre efficient. You can also add on toppings at the end by the register. I did marshmallow and chocolate syrup on mine. Super yum!!Overall: ACookie dough batter in a cup! Whats not to love??
I came by this location with my family member and a family friend to give this little snack shop a shot. We sampled a couple of items that were here but we decided on the two flavors each that we selected. I kind of expected to have a different experience in taste. This flavor was just okay as well as the texture.
Very dope cookie dough spot. Love the non-overpowering flavors.
5 stars for the excellent service from Hafeez today:)
Love that I can finally eat cookie dough and not feel bad! They had several options that looked really yummy. Since one scoop was a bit pricey, my friend and I got a scoop of different flavors and then split it half and half after purchasing to get variety. Came with an appetite, so even though it was very rich in taste, I enjoyed every bite! Was a nice snack, and I’ll definitely be back to try new flavors. We got chocolate chip and brownie batter this time, and both were pretty sweet but exactly what I was expecting. The server seemed sweet as well!
Closed earlier than Google says and we drove long time to get here and she didnt give us some cookie dough even though it was right there
Very good. I wouldn’t add a toppings as the dough is very good alone
Closes at 8pm instead of 9, they dont update their hours and we drove from very far and they closed before the given time
One star is being nice. The cookie dough is extremely expensive and nothing to get excited about. It doesnt even taste like cookie dough. They serve it like ice cream, and youre eating it confused about what its supposed to be. It was a little creamy like ice cream, but also tasted like pound cake mixed with icing? It was basically a cake ball. Whatever it was, it didnt taste like cookie dough and wasnt worth the price or the calories.
I was weary of this place, thinking it was going to be all novelty and hype, but we were pleasantly surprised! One scoop is actually really filling, even though it is a little pricey. Its tucked away behind some other shops, so you have to search for it a little.
This place is tucked out of site - I missed it my first time walking through Ponce. Very yummy!
I love cookie dough. I went to NYC and tried the infamous DO. So amazing! I was super excited to see an edible cookie dough place open up in my neighborhood. In comparison, Batter was sub par. It was too soft and sticky, almost like it was melting? The taste wasnt anything to write home about. I tried it once and sadly, I wont go back. Maybe theyll improve their recipe?
Says their signature is the cookie dough and is the ONE thing they forgot in our order. Ice cream was super expensive - charged for two scoops and was very small barely a scoop. Food was delivered melted and looked as though food coloring was added to basic ice cream. NEVER again
Love it!! I have a severe tree nut allergy and messaged them on Facebook and within the hour they assured me that they serve absolutely nothing with nuts in their store. What a relief!!! The dough was delicious and they allow as many sample as you need to ensure you get a flavor you like. I got one scoop and it was more than enough! The dough is extremely rich and sweet and I couldn’t eat more than the one scoop. I will definitely come back again!!
When we first walked by, the shop appeared to be closed, well before closing time. We left for a few minutes and came back, and it was finally open again. When we did get to order, the person behind the counter was pretty rude. I wanted to try three flavors, having never been there before. The guy behind the counter came up with the arbitrary number of two, so I tried my two flavors, neither of which were very good. I very obviously wanted to try one more flavor, to which the guy said no but I could always come back. I said I lived far away, so I wouldn’t get back anytime soon but that it was okay; I would just pick a flavor. He then proceeded to try to tell me that people come from out of state just for his cookie dough, as if that would make me drive two hours on another day. He wouldn’t leave it alone when I said no to coming back anytime soon, yet the possibility of having a third sample was unthinkable. When I finally got the cookie dough, it didn’t even taste that good. I’ve had better in my own kitchen. It wasn’t the right texture (which is to be somewhat expected without the eggs, in all fairness), but it also wasn’t the right temperature. There were a few things wrong with the flavor I had, and since I couldn’t try the one more I wanted, I’m just going to assume that between the two bad ones I had and the relatively okay (but not great) flavor I had, there isn’t much reason to go back. Do not expect good service.
Edible cookie dough... Whats not to love? Of course to keep the dough from being gritty, they seem to use a recipe that is a bit like cake icing in texture. An indulgent treat nonetheless with a great selection of flavors. I would definitely recommend the experience if youve never tried it.
I’ve been excited about trying batter since it opened. As I’ve been on a year long challenge of cutting sweets out of my diet, I’ve abstained from trying it until two weeks ago. I understand they are in a very busy location with many customers trying all the options without purchasing anything, but I approached the counter with the few I was dying to choose between. I told the employee I would want to try a few before buying and he said “fine.” I listed a couple I wanted to try and then on my last one he said “I’ve let you try four and we normally only do two so no.” I said I was unaware of that rule. I bought the chocolate chip scoop for 4.63. After ringing out I asked if there was a sign I missed and he said that there was before but he was tired of having a sign out and still answering the question and that people would still try stuff and leave without buying. I understand, but at that much per scoop I’m sure they can spare an extra teaspoon of a sample for someone intending to buy.I’m sure I built this up in my head as being something amazing because I love cookie dough so much. But what a crass and rude employee. Definitely won’t be returning to buy. The chocolate chip was good, but not great.
I went to DŌ in New York (the original cookie dough spot that now has others copying) which was exactly what youd expect from a fun cookie dough place. Batter is the complete opposite. The people working there were rude to me, they limit you to 2 samples, even if youre buying and want to find a flavor you like(which you may struggle to do since the flavors pale in comparison to cookie dough). They should rename this place sweet goo because thats basically all it is. I hope they are able to fix their recipe and come up with better policies and employees because this is a great concept which they are giving a bad name.
Ive never been to a cookie dough bar and thought it was a cute idea. I sampled a few doughs that were really tasty but ended up buying actual cookies that were so delicious. Definitely a fun experience.
The employees were nice (there were two girls serving me) and the cookie dough was great. (Except for the fact that I felt like I was eating sugar straight from the box.) My one complaint is that they only let you have two samples. Most people have never even tried cookie dough and they need to find their favorite flavor, and they cant do that when being limited to two flavors, and especially with that price. Also, a location in the Mall of Georgia would be nice.
I enjoy the current craze of edible cookie dough because I enjoy eating regular cookie dough. This location was disappointing and I will surely not return to buy their product again. The service was lackluster at best and the value for your money is horrible. When ordering I asked what each size actually means since they utilize the scoop as their measurement. The guy serving me rolled his eyes and stated it was like when you ordered ice cream. Well his statement was surely inaccurate because what I received was a golf ball sized ball of cookie dough. Scoop is surely not the proper way to describe the small amount of product I received, not to mention the high price point. To end this review on a positive note and explain the three stars, the dough itself was very good and flavorful. The space they sell from is also beautiful and well-designed.
Does the job, but nothing really to write home about. Good variety and plenty of options though
Omg gross product! Far from the amazing spot in New York! Then when I went to the counter WITH MY 5 YEAR OLD this guy says do you watch the Olympics I said I havent watched all of it he said did you see what happened to the girl I said no what he goes her breast came out and was showing, not both though just one .... I have never encounter such an inappropriate individual at any company! He didnt even say hello! That was literally the first words out of his mouth! ll never come back
I was really excited to visit Batter as I am a huge fan of cookie dough! As far as the set up and the atmosphere, I thought it was very cute. However, the staff was extremely rude and inattentive. We didn’t receive a smile or a thank you from anyone. The dough was okay but was room temperature and a little mushy. I also think the prices are too high for what you get. All in all, I don’t find it worth going back for.
Lots of choices! Hard to choose because thai all sound good.
A fun idea and very tasty. A wide variety of cookie dough served like scoops of icecream. We all agreed that if it was served colder it would be better (like taking a roll of tollhouse out of the fridge and going to town). Located inside the very cool and very busy Ponce City Market.
The cookie dough was good. The prices are high for the tiny amount you get. However, the staff working were miserable, I asked for a suggestion as to what flavor was good and she responded that she didnt like any of them. Smiles are free and if you want a tip, you better pretend like youre happy to be here!
The cost is a little more on the pricey side. Also the cookie dough itself is too sweet. I tried to get some cookie dough that is not that sweet but ironically it was sweeter. If you are a person can get ‘hooked on sugar’ then don’t go here. There will be a larger change for you to get diabetes. I for one don’t have it but after eating it, I am pay much more attention to the amount of sugar intake.
These other reviewers are a bunch of haters. Its a cookie dough bar people what is not to love? I got the bourbon shake wife got chocolate chip and brookie! Both were great. Service was great too.
After eating here I did not feel good and ended up throwing up. Based on how the cookie dough was stored it was likely for someone to get food poisoning. The cookie dough was sitting out at room temperature where it is vulnerable to having a lot of bacterial growth making it very likely that this place in linked to food poisoning after throwing up I felt better and was very disappointed in the service, the product and the extremely high price
Just visited for the first time. Worst service EVER. The girl scooping the batter was absolutely rude, her assistant just got done picking her nose after licking the grease off her fingers from her Chinese food. The scooper had her phone up to her face on Twitter as she scooped the ice scream. The cashier was busy patting her weave. BYE FELICIA. If I were the owner of this business I’d invest a bit into educated employees. This was on 2/9/2019 9:35 PM.
I really wanted to love this place because I was super excited about it opening, but I have to say I was disappointed. The teenage boy working behind the counter was slow and basically told me that they needed to get rid of the gluten free cookie dough I ordered, making it sound like it had been sitting out a long time and did not sell—really encouraging. The portion is very small, and while I wouldn’t want to eat more, the price $4.50 is pretty steep, especially when that does not include any toppings and really 50 cents for a spoonful of sprinkles??! If they are going to charge that much they really need to include toppings. I left feeling disappointed and really wanting some ice cream instead.
I was excited about going to this place but I ended up being disappointed. The chocolate chip cookie dough did not taste good at all but the bourbon brown sugar dough was ok. I also purchased a cookie monster cookie which wasn’t that great either. I always give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to working in the food industry but I do agree with others that the customer service is lacking. For the price I paid,I did expect more.
The staff was extremely pleasant. We learned the guy servicing us was the owner. The price tag was expensive but he was super nice and the cookie dough was very good! We will be back.
It was delicious. Door Dash/er came through ...the one near Hilton Atlanta.
Came here at 8:40 on a Sunday (20 minutes before it’s supposed to close). I was really excited to try Batter for the first time. I walked up to the counter and was told that they were closed, even though their website states they close at 9 and they clearly still had dough to serve. Poor customer service.
We went mostly out of curiosity, after all who does not love cookie dough? We werent sure what to expect, if it was dough with ice cream or something to make it more interesting? However, when we had some questions the surly teenage girls behind the counter were rude and snippy. We ended up paying $17 for two servings of two scoops of cookie dough which we could have bought at the grocery store in a Pillsbury package for about 1/10 of the price
Unfortunately, the actual cookie dough was not good. I wanted to love this place because I love eating cookie dough, but neither my friend nor I enjoyed our scoop. It was also over priced for the amount and for the quality.
Service was slightly awkward and the cookie dough was ok. I ordered a sampler box with 4 flavors and was disappointed each small scoop was coated in sprinkles. The other odd thing was that as I continued to move throughout the market, the dough warmed up slightly and almost seemed to melt, making the texture very odd.
Very sweet and tasty cookie dough. Very heavy, so come with a full stomach. Not the cheapest.
Omg their macaroons and apricot Danish was freaking delicious! I felt like I was in France. It was my first time at ponce city market and everyone said its expensive but this bakery wasnt bad!
I went on a saturday night with some friends. We got in line the staff was pleasant and they had alot of flavors. I went with the brownie batter with chocolate syrup. They add the toppings for you. I added chocolate drizzle. It was really good one scoop is definitely enough. :)
Do not recommend this place. Too expensive for such small scoups and not tasty at all. Unfriendly staff too.
My family was in town and we were so excited to take them to Ponce City Market. The food and drinks were great! Then it came time for dessert the kids couldn’t wait to try the spot Batter. The staff was extremely rude! The guy behind the counter was terrible! We smiled and asked him how his day was and he just said “what do you want?” My husband came to meet us and he yelled and him for cutting in line and I told him he was with us, he yelled at my son for touching the counter and then when my youngest asked for sprinkles and barely touched the jar while pointing the guy looked in disgust and moved the jar out of his reach and said “don’t touch that!” We had previously asked which was his favorite flavor twice and he straight up ignored us. He was miserable.
Amazing treat place .Everyone there was super friendly and allowed us to try whatever we wanted without rushing. fantastic place for something different than ice cream but still sweet.
I would rather just have real cookie dough and risk it. Hefty price tag with lots of nickel-and-dime upcharges for toppings, etc. The batter was WAY too sweet and I couldn’t even finish a small, which was over $6. It was a letdown.
I was so excited to try Batter. I walked right up to the counter to see what it was all about. I asked the girl behind the counter how it worked, but she didn’t even reply to answer my question. As I read the menu board and my options, she stood behind the counter with her hand in her mouth playing with her lip. I decided on the 4 truffle style bites. I assumed she would put gloves on and wash her hands before touching anything. Not even close. She walked to a side refrigerator with a glove on one hand and the ungloved hand that had been in her mouth went right for the cookie bites. Disgusted, I walked over to her and asked that she put new gloves on. She gave me a lot of attitude and a snarky reply but went to get a new glove. I asked that she glove both hands and she refused. I told her to forget my order and just left. Horribly unsanitary and unsafe food conditions.
So happy to have a cookie dough place in ATL! This place is fantastic; they have a wide range of dough flavors and toppings, and their creations are delicious!
I had such high expectations for this place and I was let down very quickly. My server was paying more attention to his Apple Watch than to my order, and $8.00 for 2 “scoops” was outrageous. Do not recommend
Soooooo tasty and I like how they have vegan and gluten free options.
Like others I wanted to like this place, but couldnt. The cookie dough is okay, Id say its the definition of mediocre. The service is fine. The prices are a bit outrageous even for PCM. The gelato place across the way is a much better deal, for example. Pretty sad this one was a bust.
Cookie dough itself is good, prices are not. Almost $5 after tax for one mediocre scoop? Lower your prices (maybe $2.75/scoop) then youd have my business.
My experience was not that great. First, you need the fire that guy working at the counter. He was rude. I seen negative reviews on here already about him. The cookie dough was alright. The price was too much for what i got. You should either lower the price or have bigger portion sizes
Just visited for the first time, and all three staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. One of them was eating chinese food, then turned around to serve us batter. Another was on her phone. And the cashier did not greet or acknowledge us. It was the most uninviting feeling i’ve ever felt.Worst customer service.
Paid 21 dollars for 4(tiny) scoops of cookie dough for two, and I have to say that even if it was a dollar a scoop, I still wouldn’t buy again. Taste like a giant ball of cream cheese. If you closed your eyes and took a bite having to guess what it was, you would not say cookie dough... And that’s a problem. Lots of comments on here about the service, but the focus should really be on how bad the “dough” is - by dough I mean cream cheese..
Their staff sucks, seriously terrible attitudes. The idea is questionable as it is but I gave it a shot, the cookie dough was good but it is the nasty service that I’ll remember. First and last time.
DELICIOUS! I love the sugar cookie dough so much! My fiancé and I love coming here.
Wasnt impressed. Gelato across the aisle is better!
Its good. Nothing amazing but nothing negative.
I had the bourbon butter sugar cookie dough. It had a great flavor and texture.
Over priced, which I could understand for the area and received niftyness of cookie dough in a cup that costs as much as an entire roll of the stuff from CVS across the street. Probably wouldnt slam it so hard if not for the terribly rude service I received.
Great concept and delicious cookie dough, my daughter especially loves it.
Cookie dough is gross. And I mean gross. Like, how do you mess up cookie dough?
This place sucks. Way too overpriced and hyped up for what you get. The cake batter has no real flavor either. Go get an ice cream instead, you wont regret your choice.
Not quite as good as noshing on some Nestles, but less risk of e. Coli
I wanted it to be better. But still sugar!
Cute Idea, Not Worth the MoneyWanted to like it and the service was fine but cookie dough is just too sweet and ends up tasting gross in each spoonful beyond the first taste test.
Tastes good but tiny scoops, only one tasting per person, and service without a smile. Will not be going here again.
Dough was good but its way overpriced!!
Grt taste🤗
My son loved the cookie dough!
Paid $9 for two scoops and got a big piece of plastic in one scoop and a hair in the other :(
Incredibly rude staff, which is unacceptable for the price paid.
Great place for sweets lovers.
Cookies n Cream is my absolute favorite!! ❤❤❤
Tasty, cool concept.
Good cookie dough but really overpriced
Very good
Very nice store
The cookies are not fresh.
Omg!!!!! This is every foodies crack spot.
Mediocre at best.
Super tasty!
Tasty, but very overpriced.
Good Service
A must!
Good
