What a wonderful place to purchase a delicious cake from. I ordered a cake online for my sisters birthday. She didnt favor the consistency of the cake. I called and informed them of the situation. They told me to bring it in at my earliest convince. I went back on Saturday and they were very pleasant, helpful and very informative on the different variety if cakes and that the consistency will vary because they all have different ingredients. They took the cake back and allowed my sister to pick another of her liking. I was beyond pleased with their service and information. I highly recommend purchasing a cake from them for any occasion, or just stop in for a wonderful Piece of Cake!

Good cake for the most part. Only a few bad points-Cakes seem to dry out quickly-The Buckhead store doesnt always open on time.-The menus on their delivery services dont match. The menu on UberEats is different from the menu on DoorDash and thats different from the menu on Grubhub, which has 2 menus for Piece of Cake. I didnt notice until I recommended them to someone else and the item wasnt available. Embarrassing.Consistency would make things a little better

Whats there to say about their cakes that havent already been said? The red velvet is my favorite and is very rich yet has almost a homemade look & taste. Love it from pretty much any susiecakes location.I called the shop and they said they would still be around although closed when I arrive but they would be able to bring the cake out nevertheless. So incredibly sweet of their staff!! This is the furthest location from my house but Id come back to this one every time because of how accommodating and friendly they are.4.5 stars for the cake5 stars for the service!!!

Who hasnt heard of this place? My weakness is dessert...... cookies, cakes, pies, ice cream. I believe that dessert should be consumed BEFORE any other meal. Lol.... anyway, this place is great! My favorite is the strawberry cake! Its perfection made edible! Try anything you like, Im sure youll be pleased. They have locations all over Atlanta. A slice of cake is $5.50. A small cupcake is $2.85, a large is around 4 bucks. You can also order whatever you like for pick up. Enjoy!

Christmas dinner with family—I purposely purchased the largest German chocolate cake because it’s the entire extended family’s favorite, and I knew everyone would want to take some home. It was a disaster as you can see from the pictures. Not only did no one want to take any home—no one even wanted to try it.It was embarrassing and disappointing.

Very disappointed I saw “Piece of Cake” on Atlanta Eats and I’ve always wanted to check it out. So today I finally did. The good thing about this place is that they had a variety of cakes and cupcakes. Other than that the cake was pretty average - not moist at all. I’ve had better cake at Publix and Sam’s Club to be honest, and the price was not as expensive.

My husbands 50th birthday was celebrated in Atlanta. I did my research for the best cake in Atlanta and Piece of Cake and Henris were noted by AJC as being the best. I ordered a cake from Piece of Cake to be delivered this past weekend to our Airbnb and we planned to eat on it the entire weekend. Sadly, we threw the entire red velvet cake in the dumpster. The cake was so dry it tasted like something you would buy from a run down gas station. My 8 year old daughter would not even eat it. After two slices we threw the entire cake away. I spent more money on this cake because it was a special day ... a 50th birthday. Signed, An Extremely Disappointed Customer. P.S. Use Henris if you need a good cake.

First time ordering and cake for dads 90th and was EXTREMELY dry. Ive had it a couple times when friends have ordered it and has been descent. From other posts Ive read, it appears they have a problem knowing how to properly bake or keep their cakes moist and not crumbly dry when sold.

Service is always super even when they have a full house. The staff was helpful and kind. Feels like a place in Los Angeles I liked.

Heaven in your mouth! Best cake place in the city. I like how they keep it simple and do do too much to there cakes. The taste should speak for itself and it definitely does. My favorites are the strawberry and white chocolate flavors. My mouth is watering thinking about it!

I havent had been to Piece of Cake in years but I went today to pick up two cakes, a red velvet and a german chocolate cake and they both are extremely dry, nothing like the moist, melt in your mouth cakes that I remember from before. They must have someone new baking the cakes because a few years back they were moist and impressive. Extremely disappointed because I expected so much more and I just wasted my money.

Hands down the BEST cake/cupcakes Ive ever had. I absolutely love this place. The red velvet cake is amazing. They have a good variety and they sell smaller and larger cupcakes, as well as whole cakes. This time of year, the peppermint cake is a great choice.

I went to the Roswell Rd location on Tuesday January 14, 2020 for the BOGO 1/2 off cake slices and it was a big mistake. Not one, but all four slices that I bought was dry. And what makes it so disappointing is that they were all different flavors.

Literally the best cake I’ve ever eaten!! We drive 2 hours just to come get some at least twice a month. The white chocolate, Chocolate, and Caramel are AMAZING!!

The best key-lime cake

We have used this bakery for years, but it has gone down hill. We got a half dozen assorted cup cakes last Thursday and they were not fresh. The cupcake was so dry that it literally crumbled apart so bad that you couldnt even eat it with a fork. The frosting was also hard. Never. Again. Whole Foods bake goods are more fresh, 1/2 the price and around the corner.

There isnt a bakery in Atlanta that makes better cakes. The yellow cake with chocolate icing, caramel cake and red velvet cake are always moist. The whimsical gift items in the shop are a fun add on to their cakes, cupcakes and other snack items. Even though getting in and out of this particular location can be challenging at times, the treats make up for it. Decadent frosting, rich taste in every bite.

Hands down the best bakery in Atlanta. We buy a cake for any occasions here!! Cookies and cream cake will blow you away with its sweet melt in your mouth taste. Cant leave without a key lime, red velvety not your average red velvet cupcake!!

I have gone to this place since I was 3. I ised to go when I came from gymnastics for a sweet treat. Now I am 10 and get one EVERY week. They are so delicious! They melt in your mouth every second. They are the best treats every. I definitely requeste this for a after school, work, or even just for a cupcake. I wish they had a little bit more flavors or more sweets on the menu.

Piece of Cake has the best cake in town! The chocolate/chocolate is my most ordered and reminds me of a Texas sheet cake, not a traditional chocolate cake (I think thats a good thing). My second favorite is Key Lime Cake, which is again not like a traditional key lime cake. I have had one issue with rude service, but overall have been very pleased with my visits here. They offer a BOGO deal on Tuesdays!

I frequent the Buckhead location only because the cakes are amazing. However, on my last two occasions the stocky guy was very rude. I wanted to wait to write a review being that everyone is entitled to a bad day. The second visit he was just as nonchalant as the first encounter. Im sure he feels that the cakes are good so people will still come. Good products are great, but good service is PRICELESS!

The customer service these folks have rival Chik-Fil-As! I just had a gentleman try to track down one of their kiosk vendors to wait on me (Downtown Atlanta)literally 5 minutes before they were leaving! He was unsuccessful, but I really appreciated the effort! 5 Stars!Crossing my fingers for an Uber Eats partnership! Piece of cake is the best bakery in Atlanta area but I will not visit this location again. The big white guy was rude to not only my husband and I but to another customer as well. You would think customer service would be excellent in the Buckhead area but it isn’t at this location.

Heres the deal. Best cupcakes and cakes Ive ever had. Granted, I dont eat sweets as much as other folks probably do, but this place is fantastic! Ive had a few friends work here over the years and have come to really appreciate this place. Its a staple in Buckhead and theyve expanded many times to other neighborhoods (Roswell, Decatur, Dunwoody), even the airport. They have the perfect amount of cake to topping and the flavors are rich with subtle hints of different fruits, sweets, and ingredients. I, personally, recommend Strawberry, but the White-Chocolate and Cookies & Cream are close seconds. Be careful, this place is addicting and will ruin all other bakeries you go to now.

Piece of Cake is one of the best bakeries in Atlanta for actual cake. Im not an icing fan so the mile high swirl of buttercream icing on a teeny tiny cupcake (all too common in bakeries today) doesnt excite me.My favorites at Piece of Cake include the caramel, orange and key lime flavors. They also make delicious pound cakes. I dont love the cupcakes here. The ones Ive had pale in comparison to the layer cakes. Sometimes the cupcakes are dry and the flavor just doesnt seem the same as what you get in the layer cake.If moist, homemade, delicious cake with a normal amount of icing is your thing...be sure to check out Piece of Cake.Now with locations throughout the city is easier than ever to get. Although they dont decorate cakes, this bakery is still my go-to for birthdays, baby showers and any special event.

My husband and I had the red velvet cupcakes and I must say we threw them out after a few bites. The cream cheese frosting was pure sugar, not even close to a real cream cheese frosting. Not worth the money at all.

I was craving dessert and decided to stop here for a slice of Red Velvet Cake because I am still on the hunt to match the one I had in Chicago 6-7 years ago.First, if this location is busy, parking is excruciating. Very few spaces out front but I am not aware of any spaces in the rear. Secondly, most slices are $5.50 but the slices are quite adequate. Third, I was disappointed in the flavor because I am looking for a certain taste, but it was okay. As with any cake, the edges are not as moist as the center. Needless to say, I would venture back to try a different flavor that carry no expectations on my behalf.

I stopped at the bakery a couple days before my daughter bday in aug. she loves the Birthday Cake flav BUT they were completely out of those slices. We picked a beautiful chocolate slice. Oh well. Maybe when we stop in today for my bday sweet treat i can get my fav slices of Dk choc anything, German chocolate and anything with coconut.

Its called Piece of Cake so dont bother with the cupcakes (which are just so-so). Stick with slices or a whole cake and youll be in heaven. The cake is moist and the frosting is creamy. You cant stop at just a few bites, regardless of your self control. Red Velvet, Vanilla/Vanilla and Coconut are personal faves. These were a surprise gift and there was a mishap with the delivery, and I was informed via email, and then when I called into the store, I was offered a redelivery with no fuss, OR a fresh batch and delivery the next day, from a very friendly member of staff.

Well, I dont think I have ever had such a great experience ordering a cake as an anniversary gift for my son and his wife! The ease of ordering on line was amazing, and the fact that I could have delivery (and a reasonable charge for that too!) the next day was fantastic. We had a mishap with delivery as a surprise, and they were MORE than accomodating to make sure they got their cake on their anniversary! They actually upgraded the cake because of the delivery issue! WOW. And then, my son and his wife were thrilled to get a cake from Piece of Cake...my son said, Mom, how did you know they make the BEST cakes in Atlanta?!...I didnt, but I do now! I sent them a carrot cake, and it must have weighed 20 lbs...they sent me pictures and the empty plate when through! He said it was truly the best carrot cake he had ever had. I will definitely be calling there again! And their prices are great for a perfectly delicious and beautiful homemake cake! And p.s. Thank you Caroline for helping get that cake to them on time!

All products from this place come highly recommended and Ive told ALL my friends (and those others) about (OMG) the most delicious cakes since my Aunties! There is however ONE downside/blemish, as I have noticed in other reviews, and I guarantee you, the horrible customer service experienced was displayed by the dark-haired female at the front counter. I sincerely hope she is NOT one of the owners, though she exhibits behavior of owning the entire Buckhead area! The owners should be extremely gracious their product is so superb because this lady would deter you from ever returning; HOWEVER, there is a saving grace in their mix, hence my good rating on service!.... the tall guy who also work the front counter is a joy to have serve you! She on the other hand should remain in the back, perhaps under a glob of icing to sweeten her nasty disposition! ... but O YES, I am going back, again & again!

Were from Texas and based on all the good reviews, we ordered a cake from here to celebrate a few bdays while we were in town. Overall, it was a disappointment. Even though I prepaid, they wouldnt put names on the cake or change the icing on the sprinkles bday cake from cream cheese to buttercream. I almost didnt place the order when I learned they werent willing to customize at all. I should have gone with my initial feeling and found another bakery. The cake was okay but not as moist as Im accustomed to. The frosting was decent, but all in all, Ive had much better cakes from the grocery store.
